I was really pretty amused at the timing of this offer, because I just picked up a secondhand copy of Mass Control 2 and had literally just finished watching Core Control when the email popped up.

Honestly, most of this is stuff I already know... it's just all being delivered in one place by Frank Kern. And that's terribly valuable, really, because there are all of these questions I always have about connecting the dots. I know how to do this; there are a dozen ways to do it. I know how to do that; there are a dozen ways to do it. So I'm sitting here going, "Which of these dozen ways should I use? Which of those dozen ways should I use? Once I choose, how do I hook them up together?"

But then here's Frank saying "we'll pick this way to do that, and that way to do this, and here's how you hook them up together." And then you just sit there and go "hey, that works, and it's easy."

I've already got some projects in the works using Frank's MC2 stuff, which should provide some results by Monday.

I've shoved those plans onto the back burner for now. The initial plan was to fire up the "Four Day Cash Machine" and bring in some sales. Trouble is, it assumes you have both a list and something to sell them, and I've got neither.

So I've got a little to-do list which includes a new product ("The .357 Article Method") and some list-building stuff. But I've got some other stuff before that - final polish on content for a client who has already paid me for it, and is now patiently waiting for me to deliver that content. Which he was supposed to have yesterday.

I'm also bucking the whole family thing this time of year. Everyone wants me to come over and do things and go out and pick them up somewhere and give them a ride and it's just a pain in the arse. I've got work to do, and nobody is leaving me alone long enough to get it done... so I'm turtling for the next two days to just be crazy productive and get this crap done. Not to mention all these interruptions mean I'm not bringing in any INCOME, so I really need to pull in about $300 during that two days or they're turning off my website. Ask Jared Alberghini about that.

My guess is Frank wants your address to branch into offline marketing. Not that that is a bad thing, he certainly offers value, just observing...may even get my own copy just to see if I'm right.

Edit: lol, he even says he'll send a sales letter

      I'm too paranoid sometimes.

However, I took a look at the company handling his campaign/promotion (IS) and read a lot of negative things. I've been on Frank's list for over a year now and never had any issues, but I just wanted to double check that there really is no sort of catch to his promotion.

I don't doubt Frank Kern, but I was a bit reluctant providing details to the company itself. I know if you go looking for bad, you're bound to find it (can't please everyone!). But like I said, just wanted to be safe. Thanks!

Can they get you into some kind of forced continuity with this? I signed up with a major internet marketing "guru" and I tried for two months to cancel my membership. I used the help desk, and called the 800 number more than once. In the end, I had to close all my accounts and switch banks to get away from him.

I haven't ever signed up to get a free plus shipping offer from anyone since then. So I may check up on this thread a month from now to see what happened with you guys.

I'll vouch for Frank on this. I signed up for something else to check it out for my members. It was one of those "one month at $x and then you pay $xx per month" things. I often avoid those on my credit card, as it's more difficult to cancel with Japanese credit card. But, Frank is one of the marketers I trust.

Sure enough, he even sent an automatic e-mail to remind me to cancel. And, cancelling was a simple e-mail. Good business ethics.

I've watched Core Influence a number of times - some really reat stuff in there, should be basic marketing training but it is not, so it';s terrific to hear it from Frank.

Frank's always a few moves ahead of the market - and for that, it is certainly worth listening, learning - but most of all - applying what he teaches.

CDarkLock has it right though - anyone getting started seriously online needs to focus on gaining rights to their own product by 1) Developing it themselves, 2) Having it developed for them or 3) Licensing and re-branding it

What I'm finding with Mass Control is that I already know most of this stuff and have been doing it for months... because I've spent years reverse-engineering the things gurus do. So I'm actually pretty excited when he says "here's your homework" and I think "LOL, I already did that!"

CDarkLock has it right though - anyone getting started seriously online needs to focus on gaining rights to their own product
I don't know that this is true. I agree that it needs to be a component of your online business, but it's debatable whether it needs to be central. I'm kind of waffling on whether your business focus is most properly on product creation or traffic generation, but I think long-term it has to be one or the other... and I suspect that concentrating on both will seriously diminish your efforts on either. I'm also starting to think that there are product marketers and there are traffic marketers, and one or the other is going to suit YOU PERSONALLY where it might not be the same way for the next guy.

I just ordered as well. They state pretty clearly that there is no continuity, and I didn't see anything that contradicted this when I looked over the TOS.

In the past I had an issue with a return and continuity program of Frank's. The company contacted me before I could contact them, and really went the extra mile to make sure they fixed everything. They definitely have my confidence.

Maybe so, but that doesn't mean the offer isn't misleading. It doesn't cost $9(or $22) to ship 2 dvds. If the info is so valuable, there should be no need to use a bogus "get this free just pay shipping" promo. If you're being billed for the cost of the product in addition to shipping, you aren't exactly getting it free, are you?

Which would make him a liar. The offer says "get this free, just pay shipping". I can ship 2 dvds for less than $1.00 every day of the week. Now, some will say "Yeah, but the dvds, packaging, etc cost money", and they'd be right. But the offer doesn't say "Just pay for the cost of the product and shipping" does it? Because that wouldn't be free, would it?

If that counts as free, then I'm going to start giving away houses. Just pay me for the cost of building the house, and a small profit on top, and I'll give anyone here who wants one a free house.

It IS free - you just have to pay shipping and handling, and it's not misleading if you actually read what you are getting.

If the offer was not free then it would cost you $X + S/H

Core Influence is great. I think between me and Eddie we must have 4-5 copies. Silly.

I realise some people knock Frank etc, but quite honestly I've no idea why. His materials have genuine value and are very solid. I couldn't say this for all marketers.

In short - if you have the cash, get it.

I read on his blog, someone moaning that Frank should make it available digitally.

Screw that. People will get a lot more value (and pride) from having a physical product. Once it goes digital, people will collect and not implement. Factor in the free factor and even fewer people will take action.

Just like pirates rarely make use of all the products they download.

So -if you have the cash and aren't a complete newbie - I think this package is worth it for Franks stuff alone.

I'm sure Amish stuff will good too...

He's probably going to send it first class, it will probably cost him about $6 (at most) to send...so that's a small $3 profit....Between his list and the fact it's 'free' many people will be sharing in forums (like this one) and emailing it to more people because of the huge perceived value (I agree there is a ton of value for the $)....this offer has bascially gone 'viral', which in turn will add a TON more people to his list, all the while making him over 100k (minus the cost of envelopes, blank dvds, and labor to burn them).....

Frank just wants to branch off into offline advertising due to the crack down recently with Adwords. (Better be safe than sorry.)

It's a great product and for $10-$20 bucks it's a steal. So much of a steal you may become so impressed that you buy the product he pimps in the sales letter he'll send you in the mail later on.

I don't think he is a scam at all, he's cool, I'm just saying that if you are going to churn out 50,000 DVDs, why not make $3 of each?

Franks giving away a couple of DVDs, looks pretty good, i hear that core influence one is a module from mass control and is meant to be the best one on there

the only thing i don't like about this offer is $22 shipping to outside US!

but anyways thought i'd share it
you are complaining about spending $22 for a course that is usually $2,000 ?

how much does a DVD MOVIE cost at your local store ?

maybe you could watch a movie instead...?

But then tomorrow you will be in the same position as you are today

sorry to sound so harsh but thats just how you have to look at
    situations like this...

mass control 2.0 cost $2000, this is just one of the DVDs included, its not the whole course

also I wasn't complaining, that wasn't the point of my post, obviously i thought it was a good deal, which is why i started this thread in the first place

      bloody hell!

Highly recommend Frank's stuff. It's always top notch.

I have 4 copies of Core Influence (soon to be 5) only because it's been included in a few packages I've bought (not always Frank"s stuff). It is great information IF YOU ENGAGE with what it teaches. I bought in because I'm interested in Amish Shah's DVD. I've never studied his material.

BTW - Don't worry about getting pounded with offline junk mail from Frank. He's had my address for a couple of years now and on the occasion I receive something from him in the mail it's been great material... free, not pitches. Little things you can implement to increase your understanding of marketing and make more money.

    Cheers.

I would recommend learning from Frank Kern.

I've ALWAYS made money using his methods, they work and he knows his stuff.

One thing good about Frank is he doesn't over complicate things, he shows you exactly what to do without any fluff.

I made $17,000 in 5 days using one of his blog methods in late October.

Have you guys seen his "State of the Internet Address" video?

It's very interesting and makes you really think about the next decade of internet marketing.

  • I must be the only one who doesn't dig Kern. All his videos seem full of fluff to me, focusing more on Kern's undeniable charisma and wit rather than on actual content. I am much more into Ryan Deiss or Russell Brunson's style: not so sexy but way more lecturing.

Kern Sexy? Really? Diess delivers good practical 'how to' info. Kerns info (the paid stuff) is solid gold - in a whole different way.

I think to us UKers, long hair on a guy is not all that common or attractive

but the whole 'long hair, don't care' persona of Frank's is exactly what he sees his target market wanting to aspire to (not necessarily have long hair, but the same carefree attitude)

but back to business, I think Frank Kern is probably the most highly respected internet marketer around

100% agree. His "persona" is well crafted towards what the typical IM'er dreams of.
