Hi everyone,

I am considering using Unique Article Marketing and am wondering if anyone has any opinions about it? I saw a post from last year, but nothing more recent.

Thanks,
Amy

If you mean "Unique Article Wizard" save your cash. It forces you to rewrite any article twice and the article MUST have the same number of paragraphs and such. And they can still decline it. My suggestion would be the combination of Mass Article Re-writer and Mass Article Submitter. You'd still have to submit to eZA by hand though. Another excellent option (in fact one I use as well) is ArticleBot.

I must have been really tired when I wrote Unique Article Marketing... I did mean "Unique Article Wizard." I saw some reviews here from last year. I have a Mac computer so I think the best solution is an online article submitter plus spinner program, but I want it to be worth the cost and be effective as well (obviously). I will check out article bot momentarily.

Amy, the Unique Article Wizard program is very good. It will submit
your unique article to hundreds or thousands of related blogs.

I've had very good results with it by targeting lower competition
    keywords in Google, however..

It does take a bit of effort as you have to write an article and then
rewrite it twice. Easy to outsource but if you're doing it on your
own then expect to spend a couple of hours writing and submitting
    it to the program.

The moderators of the program don't like spammy content or articles
that look like a sales pitch and have the right to decline your article,
but they'll only do this if your submitting crappy, hyped up content.

IMO it's an excellent program but the main critique I have is that for
the past few months it's been taking the moderators several days
usually 2-3 for them to accept my articles whereas before that they
used to accept them the same day.

I've complained to them several times about this but if you can live
with this then I'd suggest going for it because it's well worth the $67
    a month.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Will- that is really helpful. Honestly I wish SOMEONE would create a software program specifically for Mac users but until that time, I think I'll give this system a try.

I actually have GREAT success with UAW and use it almost exclusively to start the promotion on any new site or page we put up. You can use an number of tools to "spin" your article and then simply POST it into the UAW system. This is a much, much faster way to produce a result. If you actually use their system to rewrite your articles - yikes! It could take a long time. If I already have an article in hand, we use other spinners to spin and then can get it set up on UAW in less than 5 minutes.

Rob, what are you using to spin your articles? It's a good idea and
would save time. But I've tried it in the past and my articles got
decline because the paragraphs were 'low quality' due to spinning
them over rewriting them by hand.

Hi I used "Unique Article Wizard" for several months without much success, maybe I should have given it more time, but I found it too pricey and too time consuming as you have to write each article 3 times and from what I remember you need 50 different signature boxes that was really time consuming!!

If I where you I wouldn't use any article spinner I have yet to find one which does a good job and with ezine articles getting really strict keep your cash. Best way is to get unique articles written and then rewritten for a lower fee, you can get rewrites done for less than $1 per article on Odesk, but be warned at that price get the provider to give you a sample first, not one they attach as standard, but one you send him as most of their english isn't good enough.

        Hope this helps

Keep the reviews coming. I've thought about joining as well.

Anyone have success stories using it. When you target keywords using the service, what is your typical competition. Meaning, when you start a new campaign for a new site, how effective is UAW for say a KW that has 300,000 competitors, or for one that has 3,500,000 competitors?

What is your experience with articles being rejected, accepted?

    Thanks in advance.

The more people that think UAW is dead the better. It's a secret weapon.
BTW, you will quickly learn that in-quotes competition doesn't really mean anything at all. It's all about analyzing(domain age, backlinks, type of site) the top 1-20 results. If there's some web 2.0 sites, then piggy back and get a double listing. But, it's best to invest in your own domain in regards to backlinks. UAW+Web 2.0 works a dream.
UAW>Web 2.0> SEO'd page on your domain = SEO Powerhouse

And, I haven't had a single article rejected yet. For $67/m it's a no-brainer. Be prepared to do some rewriting though.

UAW has not proven itself worth the money at this point for me. The only good thing I will say about it is that you can get your site indexed pretty quick if you have a new site. I have been a paying member for 4 months now.

Here is what my experience has been.

UAW takes a long time to set up, but I understand the strategy so I was OK with that. Plus, like most things, I figured out a way to do it faster and more effecient.

I set it up for a few new sites. It help index them pretty fast, but big deal. Post links to your new website on any hot 2.0 property and you'll have your site indexed within days, if not hours. Big whoop.

I have a total of about 5500 successfully submitted articles, but less then 100 of those are showing up in my Google Webmaster or Yahoo stats as links!!!! These links are spread over 10 different sites. I am saying 100 links are showing, but I am being very generous. For some sites not 1 single link is showing as a link in my Webmaster. Not cool!

UAW sounds awesome. And in principle, it should work. But it is crap. It is a waste of money at this point. The bottom line is, that if you Google Webmaster is not showing you the links, IMHO, your site is getting no credit for them.

For the amount of work I have put in, and paying $67 for 4 months, I should have a few thousand links. I have found other services where I am doing this now. PM me for details on the other service I am using now.

I am going to do one last push on UAW before I completely throw in the towel. I do think in principal, this should work. And I have developed a system to even further make the articles unique. I will have a little patience, but would not recommend anyone at this point to waste their money. Unless your a serious money making internet marketer and have budgeted to explore different programs to see if they work.

I just got my hands on 20 different articles. I am going to upload 20 campaigns, spread them over a few 1000 URLs on about 15 different sites. It should take me about 8 hours to do this. But in principal I should be eligable for 20,000 plus links. I will make one more payment at the end of January and watch the results.

I will report back in Feb to let everyone know what happens.

A good tradesman never blames his tools.

There is a huge difference between submitting your articles and those articles being accepted on the UAW blog network. Perhaps (and I'm not saying they are), your articles are crap and get rejected at the other end.

I have a number of blogs that receive artilcles from UAW and most of them are automatically filtered out for immediate rejection. I beleive that none of the blogs in the UAW network are set to automatically accept submitted articles. They are inspected by the webmaster for quality, relevance, etc.. If your article is low quality and unrelated to the niche, it will be rejected.

The major reason for rejection is the tags that get used.

If you use generic terms such as "advice" to get accepted by the maximum number of blogs, you will actually get rejected by the majority.

I know UAW tells you to use generic, broad terms, but don't do it.

Perhaps there just aren't that many blogs that want articles written in your niche. Most of the blogs in the network are niche specific, so are not interested in your non-related articles no matter how good they are.

There's also a smartarse who uses the letters of the alphabet as tags. These get automatically filtered out. Perhaps you did that, I don't know.

Here are a list of tags to not use if you want to avoid maximum rejections.

        blogs,family,lifestyle,advice,blogging,career,indu stry,news,business,government,business finance,technology,a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p ,q,r,s,t,u,v,w,x,y,z

The words can be used, but only in combination with other words. ie "lifestyle" gets filtered out, however "healthy lifestlye" gets through.

Let me give you an example:

If you have an article on golf. You might use "sport" as a tag. Let's say there are 1000 sports blogs in the network. Your article would be submitted to all of these sites. However it will be rejected by blogs that are on football, tennis, rugby, cricket, baseball, basketball, horse racing, car racing, and every other non-golf sports blog.

        SUBMISSION does not equal ACCEPTANCE.

Now here's my first experience with submissions:

I set up a niche blog in Nov 2007. It had 15 unaltered PLR articles on that niche. No other promotions except 1 article put through the UAW system.

I didn't check how many of these actually stuck (I forgot to look), but the next time Google did its PR update (about 2-3 months after the site was launched) they gave the site a PR2.

If you do it right, you get great results If you do it wrong, well let's just say "garbage in, garbage out".

Now some of the things that p1ss me off about UAW.

        1. Cannot "spin" titles. You have to enter them individually.
2 Cannot "spin" resource box, once again enter them manually. ALL of their competitors allow spinnable titles/boxes, but not UAW. It doesn't seem to be a priority to them either.
        3. It doesn't matter when you set the articles up for "release", the UAW team send them out in their own good time. Not good at all for anything that is time-critical.

Apart from these quibbles, UAW is a valuable tool for promoting your website.

To close off, I repeat, a good tradesman NEVER blames his tools. He instead learns how to use them properly.

Yeah, but I only want the top of the line tools for my tool box. The UAW tool is cool, but IMHO, it is not a tool worth of my time, effort, or money.

And here is the biggest problem. Of the 5,500 articles submitted, there are thousands upon thousands that are ACCEPTED!!!!! But they are not registering as valid links on my Google Webmaster. Yes they will get you spiders for indexing, but they have done little to help raise my sites in the SERPs and def not helping the PR.

I also have a dozen PR 4 and 5 sites and probably a few thousand web pages with PR 3 or higher. I dont know it all, but I definetly know how to get links and PR for a website or webpage.

whateverpedia makes good points about the tags. But in my experience I have had a very high amount of my articles accepted and are published. But they are not showing up as links. Even on Yahoo they are non existant!

This is a problem. The point of articles is to raise your link count. And if your webmaster account is not showing them, you are not getting credit.

Somebody please tell me if I am wrong.

And please, save me the time from having to respond to anyone about the low or nonexistant page ranks of the sites on my signature. These are all basically infant sites that I wanted to get some link love. I have never really been into forum sigs, so I purposely put newer sites to see if I would get any benifit from doing it.

We are talking about if UAW is worth it or not. Forums can get nasty sometimes.

UAW is awesome! I began targeting a certain niche in October and now at the end of December I'm dominating various keywords. I used UAW as part of my arsenal. Your articles that you submit to UAW won't show up for competitive keywords, but if you use UAW to build backlinks to ezinearticle articles and other web 2.0 properties, you will see some great results in a couple months.

If you have a new website, I wouldn't point UAW links to your homepage because you may anger the Google Gods. Point the backlinks to articles, blogs and link wheels only...

I have been doing some SEO and from my knowledge, Google does not show all your backlinks. So in actual fact, the backlinks you are receiving are very likely to be more than what you see in your webmaster account. Hope this helps.

For those that want to try it out without having to spend the full $67 I recommend this site:

Do you really think that google shows all of the backlinks in the webmaster account? Where did you get this information from? If you do a search in google it also is not showing you all the backlinks you can see with yahoo. This is just speculation imo.

I am talking about a Google Webmaster account, not a Google search. HUGE DIFFERENCE. I can verify that there are 1000's of cache pages with my links on them from UAW, and webmaster is not showing them in my account, there is a problem.

If I was seeing a bunch of them in my reports, but not all, then I would agree that Google is holding back, but this is not the case.

And Yahoo is showing just about the same results as my Yahoo site: search.

So to clarify, the information about seeing my links is not from a google link: search. These are the downloaded reports from my personal and private Webmaster Account.

Trust me Warriors, I have been around the block a lot, and I am just trying to help people realize that UAW needs to be studied more before anyone can crown it as a "valuable tool" for an SEO pro.

This is a good idea. I have tried it myself and I think I may put some more effort into doing this.

Kind of like a "link wheel". Point your article to a squidoo page, then the squidoo page to your webpage or money page.

    Good idea.
