Just discovered a free autoresponder, IM & affiliate friendly, NOT mailchimp

So I just received an email, a pretty nice looking one too, from a mailing list I am on with "Powered by Mad Mimi" at the bottom. I thought ooooh an automated email from a business I respect, through an autoresponder I haven't yet heard of.

I checked it out and it looks pretty good! They allow up to 100 contacts without charge, and after that it's only $8 for 500, $10 for 1000 and so on with a sliding scale.

I know everybody mentions MailChimp as a good free provider, which I'm sure they are, but they state clearly they do not allow affiliate marketers or internet marketers. I wouldn't want to get all nice and setup with them only to get the boot when things were going well.

I read through Mad Mimi's information and couldn't find any similar stipulation. The only thing you can't do is "distribute illegal contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters, or multi-level marketing campaigns".

I searched here and found that only two members seem to have mentioned it, and given that they count clients from Squidoo, Microsoft and Virgin amongst their customer base, I thought this might be a stellar find for IMers.

I'll be trying it shortly because those prices are pretty darn attractive up against Aweber. I'll report back on my results when I get around to it.

LINKY: Mad Mimi Email Marketing : Create, send & track emails with Mad Mimi.

Oh and they have a 25% recurring affiliate commission. I suspect that "powered by Mad Mimi" link at the bottom of the email might be an affiliate link. If so, sweet.

Mailchimp doesn't allow affiliate or internet marketers... What's the point of a newsletter except to market something...

I'm not doubting your statement... I'm just kind of shocked.

I tried them - didn't like them. Didn't like their web form. Didn't like the organization or lack thereof, had some difficulty with their terminology and navigating the site. And, the whole screaming chimp thing was annoying when I was really trying to get something done...

What would the Mailchimp people expect you to use their autoresponders for, if not some kind of marketing? I'm curious.

Yeah I thought the same thing when I read that in their terms of use. I suppose all email marketing is internet marketing really, but who isn't ever ever ever going to promote an affiliate offering in their emails? They also say NO to a bunch of entire industries. Here's their list:
      • Illegal goods or services
      • Escort and dating services
      • Pharmaceutical products
      • Get-rich-quick or work-at-home schemes
      • Online trading, day trading tips, or stock market related content
      • Gambling services, products or gambling education
      • Multi-level marketing
      • Affiliate marketing
      • Credit repair, get-out-of-debt content
      • Mortgages and/or Loans
      • Real estate prospecting or listing
      • Nutritional Supplements
      • Pornography or nudity in content
      • Adult novelty items or references in content

      After that, what's even left?

I guess they're more about actual straight up newsletters? Like the bi-monthly roundup of over 70's lawn bowls action, or something...

Some of the FREE autoresponders mentioned here are not necessarily free always.

Some have trails for a certain amount of time, most 30 days.

Then you have to pay a monthly fee.

Some are always free if you don't reach a certain amount of subscribers. Some have a maximum of 100 or 500 subscribers. Get 101 or 501 and you pay.

The problem then is the monthly fee.

I have been using TrafficWave for several years without any problems.

They have a 30 day free trail.

If you don't like it, you cancel it, and that's it.

Their monthly fee is $17.95 ALWAYS!

            Unlimited subscribers...

            Unlimited messages...

            Unlimited campaigns...

And with their affiliate program, once you get 3 paid referrals, your subscripton becomes paid for (free).

I promote a simple fast TW setup free report.

And I wrote an additional free one that takes you by the hand and through very tiny step by step process gets you to setup your TW autoresponder.

This one is excellent for newbies.

The basic process can be applied to any other autoresponder.

Some affiliate marketers have asked for it to giveaway to their new subscribers.

You can give it away and the basic condition or term is that you can't make changes to it.

I used for a few years ListWire, but they only allow English material and I have promotions in Spanish, too. So I had to cancel my membership with them.

And, remember learning any skill takes a learning curve. You were not born setting up autoresponders, so you have to take your time to learn how to set them up.

            Your friend.

            Sincerely,

            Luis Antonios

It's funny because there's more than one way to interpret Mailchimp's TOS.

I took it to mean that while they prohibit sending emails about affiliate marketing, you can still be doing affiliate marketing and remain within their TOS.

e.g. Promoting dog training (as an affiliate) is OK, Promoting affiliate marketing is a no no.

        Does that make sense?

When you say you "took it to mean" - would that be a safe thing to use as a defense if you lost your list?
Or have you written and asked for clarification?

Then you got it wrong, honestly.

Let's be really clear and unambiguous about this, for the benefit of anyone reading this thread who doesn't quite appreciate the position, because this can be a potentially disastrous mistake for people to make.

There are many Warriors here, who have commented in other threads that Mailchimp found out that they were using their Mailchimp autoresponder for affiliate marketing, by sending out affiliate-links to people on their list, and Mailchimp closed them down and they could no longer access their lists. And when they tried to raise "helpdesk" tickets to query this and find out if there was anything they could do about it, just to recover their lists, they were ignored completely. And when they eventually managed to get an email reply from Mailchimp, it was to tell them that there'd be no further discussion or correspondence because "support is for account-holders only" which they weren't any more, after Mailchimp had closed them down.

There are many of these people, all saying the same thing.

You and I both know perfectly well that they're not all making up the same story. They'd have absolutely no incentive at all to do this!

So don't anyone imagine that there's some "other reading" of the terms of service that makes it ok to do affiliate marketing there. There isn't.

          Absolutely not. It's wrong. Sorry.

WHOA Alexa!! Panties in a bunch much over Mailchimp?

            Sorry, I couldn't resist.

However, I do agree with you.

I created an account just to try them out for a side project and found them very unfriendly to marketers who knew how to and wanted to customize their own forms.

In fact, they don't even give you form code to customize them yoruself. They make
you use some 3rd party service which costs money.

What the point of all of that is I could not tell you.

But that coupled with the fact that I couldn't recommend relevant products and services
to my own leads that I got with my own efforts made me realize that they weren't a good
            fit for me either.

If you're looking for free, Gary's http://ListWire.com is most likely your best bet.

Knowing Gary and his prowess at email marketing, it's probably just as good, if not better
than a lot of the services we pay for and swear by.

Since this was about the third mention of it in this thread, I checked it out. For anyone else interested, here are a few things that it took me awhile to find out.

Mostly it sounds like it does the job well. They are confirmed opt in only which impressed me at first. Took a pause from fitting their code into a page to visit their forum and was a bit disappointed about this.

"After a subscriber hits the summit button s/he is redirected to a Listwire ad, and has to click a link to be taken to my redirect URL.

And, after hitting the confirming link s/he is taken to a listwire ad, and has to go through the "No thanks" process to reach my download link.

How can I eliminate or delete those ad e-mails. They are distracting.

I know that Listwire is FREE and those ads bring revenue to the site. But there is no upgrade option to eliminate this aspect of the service."

So it is a bit more than just including a text ad with each email. Going through that 'no thanks' process is something that not everyone will be able to get done, and it isn't fun for the people who do it. (me for example)

It would be nice if that information was supplied up front, but no...

This isn't true... they're not taken to a ListWire ad, they're taken to a page that asks the user to confirm their subscription. This is being done specifically so that your users are more likely to confirm their subscription, and I've yet to run a test, or even hear of anyone who has run a test, where this specific type of page didn't dramatically increase confirmation rates.

In short, we're a service that deals with a lot of newer marketers, and in order to help make sure they get the highest confirmation rates possible, we include a "please confirm your subscription" page.

You mean, just like the same thing that appears on GetResponse, but that no one complains about? Well, I think you're missing something... these "ads" actually put people on to YOUR lists a a List Wire member. We aren't making a dime on these, and several members are adding 20-30 new subscribers a day to their accounts through our cooperative list building system.

Shocking right... a free service that's actually free. There's no upgrade option, and that is clearly disclosed in the video on the home page explaining the service. It's free, as in, you can't pay for it... isn't that what free means?

We show one advertisement, one time, to your prospects... then, that's the end of it. And, we're always testing new ways to make this process both more profitable for us, and less intrusive for the subscribers...

That said, it's one offer, one time, and then you can mail to your prospect for years to come at absolutely no cost... and, the offer is shown after subscribe, and after confirm as not to interrupt the subscription process in any way.

As for the text ads in the emails...

iContact, InfusionSoft, Campaigner and many other paid service include a graphic indicating the service provider in the outbound emails... the difference is, you're not paying hundreds, or even thousands of dollars per year to use our service. Also, if someone is referred to us through that link, you actually benefit by having more opportunity to gain 100% free, double-optin, targeted subscribers added to your list through our cooperative list building system.

I'm not going to back down, because I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that ListWire is the best free autoresponder service ever created, and I'd put it up there with the best free services that have ever been offered in our field... period. That may sound like a bold statement to some... but, I firmly believe it's true.

And finally... there are 40 paid autoresponder providers out there who will gladly accept your money, but as far as I know, there's only one free provider with solid delivery rates, with unlimited followup messages, with the ability to broadcast, and that will allow you to build a list of unilimited size... without costing your a dime.

Seems like you're constantly fighting your corner for ListWire Gary. I run a blog dedicated to people starting in IM on a 'vapors' budget (or zilch). Although I review alternatives, I always recommend ListWire for the really cash strapped. But not only them!
I took Alexa Smith to task in another thread when she glibly said "Nobody NEEDS a free autoresponder". I don't think she's speaking to me now.
There are many arguments for a GOOD autoresponder service. I replied to her saying "How about if I post this question", "How long have you been paying for an autoresponder service and still haven't made a dime?" I think the answers might be interesting, don't you?

There's a lot more to it but I won't repeat myself.

I appreciate the clarity Gary. I had been looking for a better picture of your product as it compares to Aweber. So for me now the only real advantage of Aweber is that you can join their Affiliate program and offset any costs and hopefully make some money. Actually, you don't have to be a user to be an affiliate, so... I'm going to go give LiveWire a try and make some of my own comparisons and let you know the results.

Happy New Year Alexa, I'm back after a long absence.

Everybody out there - Listen to Alexa. We've been caught up in this discussion many times before. I had a Mailchimp account for a while.

I agree about the screaming chimp thing. However, it did seem to work quite well - UNTIL THE DAY I SENT OUT A MAILING WITH AN AFFILIATE LINK IN IT!

That was it - Account Closed; and you could hear the breeze that was the rude silence from Mailchimp to my requests for reasons.

As I was working on vapours (vapors) at the time I couldn't afford a paid service, so I switched to one of Gary (The Ace) Ambroses' services, ListWire, which is totally free.

It takes a bit of getting your head round, but it does work; and it works well (and forever free).

I understand he has a new, paid autoresponder now too, although I don't know what it's called. P'raps somebody else does?

I've posted this elsewhere, but here it is again...

This is an independent service that tracks delivery rates... and you can see that our delivery rates are on par with any paid service on the market, and better than a number of other services mentioned in this thread.

For those too lazy to check, the sender scores range from 96-99 out of a total of 100 points of the time I'm posting this. It doesn't get much better than that.

And yes, I'm including a range of IPs for our email delivery, not just a single IP that I cherrypicked that has good delivery rates... always look up more than one IP, many ESPs use that trick to fool you into thinking they're doing well, when in reality, they only get decent delivery on a portion of their network.

It's wrong. Sorry.

Affiliate marketing is expressly prohibited in the terms of service (quoted above).
Wow that makes it pretty clear doesn't it? many thanks for clarifying that for us Alexa. I was considering MailChimp too. But it sounds like they are being a bit self righteous, as others are pointing out, what is the point of mass emailing if not for marketing something? Doesn't sound like a sustainable business to me to simply be sending newsletters, with no ads or affiliate links allowed.

Aweber is great, I've used them before. But I'm just getting started again so I am looking for a cheap or free solution temporarily, then once I get going I'll export out and get on Aweber again. So this thread is pretty interesting to me. Now that I think about it, I remember one called simplycast, I think I'll check them out and post back here after.

I'm back from my preliminary reacquaintance with simplycast.

I can see why the name stuck in my brain, after these few years away from the game.

The offer a lot more services than email, so that alone makes them worth checking out, but what I really like about them is their de-scalability (if that's really a word).
In other words, if you're just starting out you can start out very small and cheap, and as you grow you pay more, or transfer to aweber.

Not only that but the structure of their pricing is kind of cool. You can play a flat rate, or per email rate, or per contact rate.

And no I am not an affiliate or work for them or anything. Pretty sure I found out about them during a seminar a few years ago.

              Definitely worth looking into imho.

Edit: I found what is called the "EPIC Free plan" for business startups, and it will probably suffice for most people just starting out. Includes email, autoresponders, twitter campaign, landing page, etc. etc. here's a link: http://www.simplycast.com/Interactiv...cing-Epic-Free

The company I work for uses MailChimp and to the best of my knowledge never promoted any affiliate product in any mail -it uses the mail list for brand awareness, to keep prospects hot, etc.

So it is internet marketing, as you say, just a different flavour of IM than the one this fourm is about.

        • Illegal goods or services
        • Escort and dating services
        • Pharmaceutical products
        • Get-rich-quick or work-at-home schemes
        • Online trading, day trading tips, or stock market related content

        • Multi-level marketing
        • Affiliate marketing
        • Credit repair, get-out-of-debt content
        • Mortgages and/or Loans
        • Real estate prospecting or listing
        • Nutritional Supplements
        • Pornography or nudity in content
        • Adult novelty items or references in content

        After that, what's even left?

I guess they're more about actual straight up newsletters? Like the bi-monthly roundup of over 70's lawn bowls action, or something...
After that, what's even left? ahh maybe
dentists, doctors , lawyers, computer repair guys, mechanics,
sign writers , printers, restauarants etc, etc, etc
heck , just about any(if not all) of those offline businesses that are falling over themselves to hand out wads of cash to IMers , 'cause IMers are just so coool .....
seriously - I often recommend them to small businesses - being free up to
2000 subscribers makes them ideal for a small business - many who do very well with a customer list that small
and the reason they are trusted and hence good for small business?
'cause they don't allow all the above

I realise this is some three years later but would not recommend Mailchimp to offline businesses. We uploaded out client email list, which in theory is ok with them, and then they promptly suspended our account never to be reopened despite numerous requests. Never did find out why.

      Absolutely couldn't agree more.

Loads of iffy ebooks; several assumptive videos etc., and they still don't help the newbie get started!

No - for that you have to attend one of their 'webinars' (at 3am UK time).

Pehaps if they spent more time finding out what new clients need, and less programming an irritating ape theme, they'd do better.

Recently dumped Mailchimp for ListWire. So far so good.

I'll give you a couple of freebies... www.freeautobot.com - can't do campaigns, though, only pretty much unlimited serial responders. Don't let those pop-ups bother you, it's not bad once you get past that.

www.sendfree.com is actually free if you only want to set up one sequential autoresponder and deliver no more than 12 messages. They have other features, but you have to pay for the broadcasting, etc. They have a neat-looking exchange program there...

Free autoresponders are great I guess but because of the fact that they're free, people abuse them a lot. This means that inbox rates may not be as high as other services such as Aweber and GetResponse.

Regardless, they're pretty good to get started with but I highly recommend going with a more popular service because they're popular for a reason

I'm with Aweber right now and I don't have any problem with them at all. Their service is excellent. However, if I can find something that meets my needs for half the price, seems like a good idea to use it, yes?

NO!!!! It is not a good idea to be a "cheapskate" (as you put it) when it comes to email list management.

It's not something you want to nickel and dime about.

One extra affiliate sale per month paying $20 commission will cover your Aweber cost.

Why would you go for a free auto responder
if you have something as good as Aweber. The next
best thing is infusion soft, but it's 299/month, so I understand
why most don't go for it.

But aweber is pretty much affordable for anyone and it's
also really-really-really easy to use, customize and productive.

And the fact that you can email unopened the second time
is the tie braker against any free autoresponder.

Bear in mind this isn't free as in free for anything. It's free for the first 100 contacts and then extremely competitive after that. It has some solid feedback so if I find it can do what I want, I'll save the $$

Of course if it's no good, nothing else matters. But, it's a matter of testing it isn't it. You can never find a better option if you're not willing to try things.

I must not have read their TOS very well, at all... So... what if you are promoting your own brand and your own products, but you also have a list to support your own affiliates that is Company X's Affiliates Newsletter.

Do you suppose that would be okay?

I have to say, I don't understand all of the anti-affiliate marketing stuff I see. I think affiliate marketing is a good thing... like everything it must be done with integrity, but is essentially a very positive thing. Why would they or anyone else want to discourage fair and honest commerce?

I did preface that with "if I can find something that meets my needs". Cheaper doesn't always mean worse. There can be any number of reasons that a service prices itself lower than its competitors.

Many of the best services, products and applications I've used have been inexpensive or even free. For example, I first discovered Wordpress and Joomla when I was tasked by a deep pocketed former employer to find the best CMS for the company to use. Despite having a blank check to throw away, I found that purely on their merits these apps were far far far superior as website management tools to some other services that were putting on the extra shmooze to get our business and cost thousands per year to access.

You can't judge a service either positively or negatively until you actually try it. Now I'm not saying whether these guys are good or not, because I haven't tested them so I don't know. But what I am saying is reserve your judgement until you have more information than just pricing alone.

Who knows, maybe they'll even meet my needs better than Aweber does. If they don't do what I want, of course I won't use them, but if they do I will. Either way, I'll never know if I don't give them a chance.

Actually try it before you form an opinion based on one tiny bit of information alone?

I really enjoyed that. As far as I'm concerned cheap is a powerful positive force. The old 'you get what you pay for' bit of garbage has been getting to me lately. A couple of times I've typed 'you're kidding! How much do you spend on oxygen?'

It will be true sometimes that the best item in a category is the most expensive one, but the old wallet will take the kind of beating given to LA freeway pavement if you just treat that as a blind rule. (Something that you follow without thinking about it.)

That said, many of the typical IM oriented email features like Drip Campaigns and Auto Responders are a small upsale no matter what level of base service you are subscribed to.

That's nice to hear, but what do you mean 'auto responders are a small upsell'??? I thought it was an auto responder.

I have to put one together soon and just checked on a big name, expensive, often recommended around her AR company to see if they could import a list from madmimi if the going gets tough, and that page won't come up on their site. (sigh) So much for 'you get what you pay for.' Tried a few times since my last post.

I don't really have time to wait and see if Kezz checks it out thoroughly and reports back. (But nice strategy for the people that mentioned that )

It's a big internet. Not everybody is building a list or emailing people for the same reasons.

You can promote your own products and all sorts of things with mail chimp. They just don't want the WF style of internet marketers who do nothing but flood their list with junk after crap after junk. Sending out affiliate links to your list is profitable but it's also bottom feeder marketing.

Step away from internet marketing forums and websites and take a look at the big picture.
I know lots of people that have been using Mailchimp to promote their own "bricks and Mortar" business and they are doing very well with their subscribers.

I created a free report on how to setup ListWire.

It is a detailed tutorial that guides you in tiny steps to setting up LW to its basic function.

ListWire is probably the only completely free autoresponder that has survived years of challenges.

        Unlimited subscribers, unlimited messages...

Sendfree, GetResponse, freeautobot, freefollowup, jv marketers, and many other have some kind of payment process or have gone out of business.

Freefollowup has a one time $4.95 setup fee for each account you want.

Most will give you a 7-30 free trial, then you pay monthly.

Others will give you a 50-1000 subscribers free.

I consider that TrafficWave is one of the best paid AR's.

It has an excellent marketing program.

It has a 30 day free offer, no credit card needed.

If you don't pay at the 30 day, your account is inactivated.

There fee is only $17.95/mo. with unlimited subscribers, unlimited accounts, and unlimited messages.

They give you a motivational bonus of $17.95 for each paid signup. and then you receive $6.95/mo for continuous direct referrals subscribers.

With 3 direct referrals, yours free.

Lets say that this is a 30 day free autoresponder.

        Back to ListWire.

I consider it to be the best completely free autoresponder. Even if you want to, you can't upgrade.

The only downfall that I see in it, it is that you can't use it with other languages. English only.

I don't know if I can paste here the free download link for the free LW AR detailed tiny step setup free tutorial.

        Sincerely,

        Antonios

    Hey all,

The only free autoresponder you need to consider is ListWire.com ...

It's really free, there are no limitations on the number of contacts, and the delivery rates rival all the paid services out there.

I really thought this thread was going to be about ListWire.com when I opened it... I guess that means it's time for me to step up the marketing a little bit.

Feel free to test it for yourself if you'd like... that said, many people think that the paid services offer better delivery rates because they market that message... this is a marketing message board... you'd think this group would be smarter than to just blindly believe.

I'll suport Gary on this (sorry Alexa). He's seen a niche in the AR sector and stepped in - nothing wrong with that at all. The product's pretty good (although I'd like to see some enhancements,updates/evolutions Gary), and IT WORKS!

I receive a lot of comms from people who REALLY can't afford to fork out month after month before they see a return. People who need to make the little savings which could help set them on the path to success. THIS HELPS THEM.

I suppose if Mr Ace started a free lifetime domain name registrar and free lifetime domain hosting service which involved a bit of advertising, you wouldn't be interested? (That's not a challenge Gary).

One problem with ListWire. Fitting the optin on a single blog sidebar! Can't find the answer anywhere.

Update: Also just came across this in their TOS http://madmimi.com/legal/terms

"If at any time your campaign is flagged as SPAM by an AOL recipient, Mad Mimi reserves the right to cancel your account without notice."

This worries me because quite a few people use the spam button instead of unsubscribing.

Just came across this one the other day and it looks pretty great: http://www.campaigner.com

I'm testing it currently, and it is free for 30 days. After which the prices are extremely reasonable.

2 problems that I see here:
Think of all the software programs that many of us buy that somehow only integrate with Aweber or Get Response, etc.
    And-
Have any of you ever gone through the nightmares of switching ARs?

How does List Machine, Vertuso, Mail Chimp, or Mad Mimi work with these problems?

Yeah, that was what I was wondering. If something "integrates" with aweber ,does that mean it will support aweber easily/natively, and something else more clunkily/manually, or does it mean that somehow these programs don't work with non-aweber autoresponders at all?

Gary, just to clear up something. Most of that post wasn't mine, but I can see now that I wasn't very clear about it. The part in the quotes was something that I found in the listwire forums. At least when I was there yesterday, the comment hadn't been shot down and blown to pieces like that

Just went back and found the post here http://www.listwire.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=372

Anyway I appreciate your comments and especially since half the work is done already, I'll get this going and give it a try soon. Glad you cleared up a couple of things for me.

I signup for mailchamp last week if they are not allowing internet marketers and affiliate then their offer is useless.
I am using awber at the moment but my subscribers are only my clients who use my graphic and web design service.. and awber is costly to me in that sense as i have no affiliate campaign..
I was thinking to start IM and thought mailchamp is free and it will work for me..
well let check out Mad Mimi's then..

If you sign up for anything, you can expect to receive email from them; it's the nature of the business.

However, every email received via Listwire has a 'remove from mailing list' option. Simply click it, and you're done.

Don't forget, you also now have full access to a FREE AUTORESPONDER, which is why you signed up in the first place.

I will agree that Gary Ambrose does get a little 'enthusiastic' with his emails, but he IS a marketer - that's what he does. I still open his emails (from his name only), as he often has something useful to say, and some useful links; including his own, very good products.

No, I'm not a buddy of Gary Ambrose. never spoken to him, and never met him. But he created a very good Autoresponder for folks with no funds, and it works.

I've had very little problem with spam/junk folders. Sometimes, when you send out your first email, they get into the spam folder, but if you're sending a freebie to a SUBSCRIBER, it's up to them to find it.

All you have to do, is ensure that you add a 'whitelist' message to the first email.

If they want to keep receiving your incredibly useful emails, they'll ensure that future ones get through.

If they don't want to receive your junk sales garbage, they'll leave it where it is.

Our forms are working just fine...

Maybe try putting in a support ticket, and find the root of the cause before blaming the system... there are countless threads about problems with forms from all providers, I'd hope everyone else is smart enough to realize that one person having a problem is in no way representative of the experience of the tens of thousands of other clients we support.

        Come on Gary.

While you know I'm a supporter (and user) of ListWire, there IS an issue with resizing for Wordpress.
Instead of telling folks to go to the forums, or raise a support ticket, why not either:

        1. Drop a link into the frequent posts on this subject;

Here's a starting point Make List Wire's Form Fit WordPress's Sidebar! | Grey Storm Media (not an affiliate link); or

        2. Modify the software so that Wordpress users (and there are millions of them) can EASILY integrate the forms into WP.

It would give you and ListWire a lot of goodwill (the best kind of promotion), and encourage the many Wordpress users to adopt ListWire as their chosen auto responder.

Hope you take this the way I intended it.

I, and many others, have our lists invested in ListWire, and we all want to see it continue to succeed for many years to come.

Many newbies, particularly don't want to have to go hunting (as I did) to find out how to make ListWire Wordpress friendly.

        Cheers

While you know I'm a supporter (and user) of ListWire, there IS an issue with resizing for Wordpress.
Instead of telling folks to go to the forums, or raise a support ticket, why not either:

          1. Drop a link into the frequent posts on this subject;

          Cheers
The thing is, no matter how many sizes we make the forms, there are always going to be themes that don't work with our sizing, or that reformat the input fields... that's just the nature of WordPress.

We had a limited release of a plug-in a while back, and may get back to it at some point, but supporting all the various iterations of WordPress as it's hacked together by various plug-in creators was beyond the scope of what we expected... every time we fixed something, someone else came up with another WP plug-in they were running that broke something else.

And, EVERY one of the pop-up forms work just fine on WordPress...

My ListWire account has been inactivated for the third time.

The first two I sent a support ticket to LW, and they fix it.

This time I just have began to concentrate on my paid TrafficWave AR.

I have probably lost my lists there.

Anyway, there is the free report that I wrote on an easy tiny step by tiny step way to setup ListWire. The link is a post I wrote some weeks ago.

January 29, 2012 I subscribed to Gary Ambrose marketing list 'memberspring2' on the page 'http: //www. memberspring.com/exit.html' with my usual throwaway email account as I like to follow some marketers to see what kind of promotions they're sending, the time, the day, the content and I build a swipe file for the time I decide to start building a list.

For this throwaway account I cloaked my name with the marketer name every time I subscribe to a list as this allows me to filter incoming emails. In this case the name I chose obviously was "Ambrose" and I never reused that name for any other subscription.

            Two things happened.

1- A few months ago I received an email from another marketer and that email was addressed to "Ambrose". How this guy got my "Ambrose name" matching my throwaway email is a mystery.

2- Emails I receive from Gary Ambrose, the owner of listwire, are sent thru aweber.

Question: For what good reason (delivery rate or else) is the listwire owner emailing his list using aweber and not his own listwire service?

When time comes maybe I'll use listwire... maybe I'll use aweber...

That I couldn't tell you. I've never sold a list to anyone, at any price, within the past 15 years. I make too much money off my lists to sell them to others.

I send emails through 7 different platforms, for a variety of reasons. The biggest lists I maintain are through my own EmailAces.com, and through ListWire.com. I also have lists on Aweber, GetResponse, InfusionSoft, 1shoppingcart, and OAP.

Each list is built in a different way. Some are customer lists, and it only makes sense that those would go through my shopping carts. Some are prospect lists, some are from specific promotions, some are from partnerships, etc. I've been at this for a long time, and I've had a ton of different types of deals through the years. Each type of list requires a different sending source depending on the parameters of how the list was built.

I don't rely on one source for my lists, and that means I'm forced into a ton of different platforms depending on what my partners require.

The multi autoresponder (AR) use can be experienced when joining certain affiliate programs.

Some affiliate programs are integrated with a specific autoresponder. You have to join and use that specific autoresponder to use efficiently a particular affiliate program.

That means, that even if you have a preferred autoresponder, if you want to join and profit from an affiliate program that uses another one, you don't have another choice but to use that other AR.

Some of these programs use TrafficWave, Aweber, GetResponse, GVO, their own, any one of the others available.

Most of these programs use paid ARs basically because referring others to those ARs gets them a commission.

                Your friend,

Leaves me out too.. I tried sending an email to a list of 80 people I moved from Aweber. MadMimi told me they couldn't send IM offer like the one I had.

Aweber allows it, but not Mad Mimi.. The spam score was really low for the email I was sending. The only bad word I used was F-r-e-e which was not bad since I put the - between the letters. They just didn't like the message. Besides, to even get the auto-responder. You need to upgrade anyways.

I tested imnica and in my first and last test the email I sent to my gmail.com address ended up directly in my gmail spam box.

I contacted imnica who replied after a few days that they were aware of the delivery problem with google.

      That was my last try.
