iPad versus Kindle

I recently got Kindle as a present from one of my internet marketing buddy. I haven't gotten a chance to use it.

Apple recently released iPad. I assume that iPad can do everything that kindle can do. I could be wrong.

Can you buy digital books from Amazon for IPad like you could with Kindle?

    I think they are pretty cool, huge price though,but hell the iphone was 600+ when it came out,.The 3G will be even more expensive,.

    Consider it is back lit and an lcd screen. The Kindle and all e-readers are reproducing the experience of reading as much as possible. And, e-ink doesn't do color. Looking at an LCD screen makes the eyes tired over time. Not so with e-ink. And with the exception of technical books, most are black and white. I don't see the issue as iPad is appealing to a different market. Personally I like a dedicated device as multifunction anything invariably has compromises.

    iPad will not kill e-readers or movies or anything else. Nor should it. Choice is what drives innovation and without that the market goes stagnant. Personally, I won't be bothering with one for reasons that we've seen discussed here before. And I love my Kindle.

    Ipad have various advantages over Kindle like wider viewing area,storage space,supports different color scheme and much more features


    The best thing with kindle is ,it supports more stand by time than Ipad ( Kindle battery will stands for one week whereas Ipad is about 10 hours)

    An the pricing of kindle is much lower than Ipad( Kindle= $259 Ipad= $499: starting price only)

    But by considering the features Ipad worth money than Kindle ( your views may different)

    Can't agree as Kindle is what it is. iPad is not made to compete with Kindle and also, the e-ink feature of Kindle is the biggest advantage against iPad. Just the design and cool looks don't make it a better one for e-book reading right?

    Yes I agree sizler when handling ebooks Kindle have some advantages over Ipad because Kindle is build for reading ebooks only but Ipad works apart from that

    I am giving my opinion that best sticks with the topic "iPad versus Kindle" not " Ebooks handling Ipad Vs Kindle"

    The Ipad is a swiss army knife that can do a lot of things. The Kindle is specialized to be an ebook reader, period. If you're looking for a grown up itouch that can function as an ebook reader, then the ipad is more what you are looking for. If, however, you want an ebook reader and don't need any of the other apps and stuff, then the Kindle will do just fine.
