I have been using TweetAdder for about 6 months now. Recently, I have been having a problem with it updating my Tweets when I want. Anyone having this same problem?

Might be the wrong cat or posting this thread in, sorry.

      Hi deaddogdesign,

I am brand new here, I signed up in order to share with you my experience. I have also been using TweetAdder without a hitch for about 6 months, maybe more. A little aggressive, not that much. I am brapniche on Twitter. I also just got banned for suspicious activity, yesterday or two days ago. Then I apologized to Twitter, sincerely, I really don't like to break rules, and they reinstated me that day. Immediately afterwards started a dm attack, where I was getting about 6-7 dm's a minute for a day and a half, then it stopped. I am not sure that it wasn't from Twitter Admin to teach me the obvious lesson. At any rate, I got to this thread through Google, I am looking for feedback, having gotten none from Twitter, about whether TweetAdder is now considered problematic. I see from you that it might be. I seek guidance and someone to work together with in order to get clarity in this question.

What I have been doing the last couple days is doing about 120 follows and 120 unfollows a day. Also, I have a 150 sec delay between them. I only send out 10 to 15 messages a day. So far so good, so I hope that my account is reinstated soon, as I have learned from my mistake.

        Hope this helps.

Also they still have not reinstated my account. Damn, it is one biggest ones. Been 23 hours and I have a lot of loyal followers.

I'm afraid to use mine, meanwhile, and I am getting followers still who are finding me, albeit at a third of the pace. People say that they are cracking down on API's which boast big, fast follower list, and Twitter says so in the terms. In practice I only use TAdder for following and unfollowing (after so many days if they don't follow back). I really don't want to go manual as TAdder is really convenient. I hope you get yours reinstated soon.

You probably wont. A lot of times accounts are shut down through automation, and there are so many spammers on there trying to get their old accounts back, I have a feeling they ignore most of them. Everyone I have talked to who had this happen not only didn't get their twitter account back, but never even received an answer.

    Hi guys

i manage a lot of twitter accounts for clients and a lot of them have been banned for using tweetadder or any other tool that manually adds followers it seems that twitter are finally cracking down on it.

You cant blame them with the amount of spammers on twitter now and if you stick to following a max of 150 a day you wont have any problems.

Remember twitter is about building relationships not following to excess.

    kind regards

Yeah, but that fact that they shut down my twitter account that reports online scams? They didn't shut my affiliate stuff down though? I have cut back and only do 150 a day and have a 300 pause between them now

Still haven't heard back from them ;(

Damn, I had a ton of really loyal followers, this puts a huge whole in my marketing of my reporting online scams site. Anyone want to mention me in there opt-ins to help me out...lol. Or link to me. I have a backup one that has a fraction of what I did have ;( Man, I am upset with myself.

    Hi Sam and everyone,

Are you sure about that 150 limit, that staying within 150 will be OK? Does this piece of info have a source? Thanks.

  • Twitter does not provide any exact numbers (like 150) on their limits and probably never will. If it were so simple, then vendors would have implemented the logic in their products in a way that the accounts don't get suspended and obviously that's not the case. I am sure their algorithm is designed in way that they allow you to "play" within certain limits but not "trick" it.

That said, the best way to gain followers is by doing it in a steady and preferably a highly targeted fashion - whether its done manually or automatically. As with anything else, eventually it will be the quality of your followers that matters the most for you and your business.
