Just wondering if anyone has tried this. The sales video does not show the finished product......

My immediate thoughts are that this could be useful if used correctly. What I hate, however, is having to sit through an audio or video for ten minutes to give me information that could be communicated via text in one minute.

Text, audio and video all have their uses. Video is great for demonstrating things. Please let's not just translate words into video without a thought for their effect on our potential customers.

I can read, and assume my customers can too. If you're going to use video, show and tell; don't just tell.

I agree with you very strongly. I have seen too many cases where videos are produced by people too lazy or incompetent to construct a logical, thoughtful presentation of their ideas, and woefully innocent of even moderate skills in English spelling, grammar, and syntax. Videos have their uses, but an information product without printed reference material, I think, is practically useless.

I really do not understand why some people here wants to shred this guy to pieces just because he used video to show what his product could do. I visited the site, I did not have any trouble watching the video. In the video he spoke clearly and slowly, and showed exactly what his product could do.

Sometimes we want to shred people to pieces just because they have an accent, we seem to forget that foreign accent does not equal stupidity. Einstein came to this country and taught at our Universities even when he had a very strong accent, more than 20% of the professionals at silicon Valley have foreign accents. Some of us really need to get a better grip on reality....

An update to IVA was released March 25. Opened IVA and it installed this update. Tried a quick test video project of about a dozen slides where I just pasted in jpeg images on each slide. Set background music to one of the provided sound track loops. Saved the project, then saved videos in each of the 5 video formats (avi, mp4, flv, swf, mov). All videos worked. For the avi file I had to download and install a video codec FMP4 to get it to play on my XP machine.

Yes, Russell, I completely agree with you too.
I find the overuse of only videos for sales and also for instruction extremely frustrating and an enormous waste of time, particularly for people with a lsow internet cinnection.

Hopefully this current fad for the over use of video will die a fast death but I am not too optimistic about it.

      Hi Russell,

Thanks for your input. You are right, IVA can be very useful if used correctly. Same thing goes for all other software that we purchase and use everyday.

I understand your idea about not liking those kind of videos but it is totally a subjective opinion, not all people will agree on that huh?

If someone puts in the time and effort to make the slides creative and place the right pictures with the right words, the video message will be worth gold.

IVA is just a "facilitator" to make that happen. We did promise that it is going to be easy to make videos from articles, which is absolutely true when using IVA. But if you want to differentiate and be better than your competitors, you still need to do something more than this bare minimum.

Bought it but can't get it to save videos. Message says video was created but when I save it it is nowhere to be found. I tried most of the available video formats and dumping the created videos on Desktop, in a folder on the Desktop, and in the program installation folder. No video files appear at those locations. Using Win XP. The Help file is minimal.

Yep. I did all that too with no videos to be found anywhere. The tutorials offer no help or explanation.

This software looked promising but I have poor quality in the software from the same source before so I was wary. Sounds like I better give this one a miss unfortunately!

      Just making sure of something:

There are 2 buttons on the interface:

      (1) Save project
      (2) Create video

If you click on save project, it will save your input only but will not create the video for you.

You have to click on create video button to generate the video then save the file.

If problems still persist. One of our staff will get back to you and if there's really a bug in the software, we will fix it at no cost and release a few version to all customers.

      Nothing to worry about.

      -Jon

Did this post originally have a link or some sort of extra information in it?

I would like to find the original source of the software.

I have only got a reseller page and I am not sure the guarantee (as stated in the vsales video) applies.

      Found a fix...

      When you save the created video file don't leave spaces between the words, for example;

      '10 Most Important Tips'

      would be...

      '10mostimportanttips'

This is working for me and hope this helps you.

Okay, this is an almost-fix. The program will create an mp4 that works. If you try to create an avi file you get sound but no video.

Before we release IVA or any other software that we create, they all go thru a beta testing in a controlled environment and if bugs are found we fix them all during this phase.

But that doesn't mean that a software should be perfect. Of course, there are bounds to be issues as more people keep using it. This happens because we are continuously faced with so many variables which disrupt the stability of the software.

These are PC configurations, antiviruses, operating system used and many other stuff that we cannot control. One user may face an issue with the "save" button and the other one doesn't.

The development and debugging process is an endless cycle.

This is something that we need to understand when buying a software. No software can be perfect and fit all users need.

But the good news is that we do offer support and fix those bugs for FREE.

We spend $3.5k to develop IVA and yet we are selling it for only 17 bucks. The value you receive far outweighs the price of it.

So if you did buy any of our product and you have an issue with it, don't panic or start shouting "scam" everywhere. lol

    Hi -Jon,

I seem to having the same problems as the others.

A more detailed pdf manual wouldn't go amiss.

The Video was a little sketchy ... could be a lot better.

The one real bummer is ... that if you have a few pages up on your desktop ... you can accidently shut the program down ... losing all your hard work ... aagh! Is there not a way within the software where it asks you if you really want to close the program?

The software has great potential ... well in my view.

What one has to remember as a software developer ... is that not everyone is computer literate ... so they give up and ask for a refund ... everyone loses

        Hi Jon-

        Questions:
        • Is there going to be a more detailed PDF manual?
        • Is there going to be a more detailed video?
        • Is there a way you can add a feature to stop the accidental closing of the program ... i.e. do you want to close - Yes - No - Cancel?
        • Is there a way within the software to actually see the right click copy and paste mouse clicks?
        Thank you

          Now to answer your questions:

          (1) The online tutorial is here: Instant Video Article Software Tutorial
I can get one staff to work on it tomorrow and improve it. Hmm.. I doubt how clearer can that be... We explained all the features of IVA inside. To make the video looks nice, it's another story. It has to do with the creative part. But I'll drop a note to my staff to improve it though.

          (2) We do not have a video for that.

          (3) The exit warning is being added right now as I'm typing this message.

          (4) right clicks allowed - being added right.

          Pls read the following message.

    Hi again,

So first off, I'll appreciate if you have any problem with the software, do use our
ticketing system which is found here:

    >> IM Buzz LLP - Powered by Kayako SupportSuite Help Desk Software

It is there for this purpose. So please do make use of it.

Calvin and I don't check the forum everyday. Sometimes, I login only once a month.
So it is to your best interest that you use our ticketing system to get a prompt reply by our staff.

    Alright, now concerning IVA features.

We are fixing all possible bugs in the software and these are going to be FREE for
all customers. It will work well and great!

If you've noticed IVA uses a common 3rd party WYSIWYG DHTML application that many other software are using.

ProfDHTMLEdit - Delphi html editor component (wysiwyg, vcl)

This is an affordable component to develop these kind of tools. But it has many limitations and we cannot add more stuff inside to make it more flexible.

There are surely many other software which are better than this WYSIWYG DHTML application but it will costs thousands of dollars per licence. We cannot add these in IVA, unless for an upgraded version which will be priced above $67.

Remember that IVA costs only 17 bucks and a simple plr ebook is more expensive than that.

        Hi Jon,

Thanks for getting back to us all.

If you are dealing with these problems ... or nags as you say you will, then no doubt you'll have a winner on your hands and I will be pleased to own such an affordable piece of software.

I wasn't getting at you Jon ... what I was trying to say is that whatever the price one has to pay, and it was very cheap ... it should at least be fit for purpose ... without all the problem/nags ... because there are newbie's out there who throw their hands up in despair when things ... as easy as this product is to use has a few hiccup's ... and makes them wonder what's wrong?... Is it them or is it the software?

I wait for the update ... eagerly.

Thanks again Jon, for you quick attention.

And congratulations on making available ... a nice piece of affordable software.

And yes I will visit your help desk to see when the updates are available.

    Hi All,

I have IVA and have been playing around with it for a few weeks now. I've enjoyed using it, but as a newbie to the software I have some questions.

I've tried the support route, but nobody answers my tickets. I've also tried a PM here at WF, but again no answer. I realize that Jon might have been too busy to come back to WF in the meantime so I decided to post and see if any warriors might be able to help out.

Two quickies here if you don't mind...

1.) Is there a way to import an existing PPT without having to rebuild it inside IVA?

2.) I've uploaded some test videos to my site, but they don't play or don't play properly. I've now tried all 5 available video formats. The .avi plays the music file but doesn't show any graphics from the video. The player called was wmp which explains why mp4 and other formats weren't working, but I thought that the .avi files would shine.

I tried it all on another computer at a different location other than my home office as well. Same results.

I've gone through the instruction page, help page, and have checked the pathways. All is in order.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Art

I opened a support ticket but not getting a response - anyone who has experience with the product - I appreciate the help (or a better product to use)

made my own mp3 and added it to the video but it will not play with the video
I saved the mp3 under the sounds (where all the rest are) but nothing
strange too that when i log out and then log in the mp3 that i saved under the sounds is not there anymore just the ones that came with the download
    thanks

I just finished uploading my video to You Tube. It took a couple of tries to figure it out. But it uploaded to You Tube with out any problems at least on this end. Google "mrrickymajtyka" no spaces. I found another site that is a kick ass piece of software but there is a monthly fee and limitations to how many uploads. I think you have a great product. Hopefully you'll juice it up a bit with an upgrade. It's not bad for the price at all.

All these tools are great but its just one more thing to master, screw with, aggravate you etc. Sometimes I think the trap in IM is the next "EASY" tool talking up another afternoon. I bought IVA and had no problems creating decent videos with it. I simply copy and paste content from an article I wrote, add some pictures, sound, then create and upload the video. I bought it because I don't have (MS Word which would work with Camtasia to create slides) and it was cheap. I just wish it could also have fade features for the slides and music.

    Hello!

Instant Video Articles are very useful for those who take time in making good presentations. However, even if an Instant Video Article is presented well, it is never as detailed as other presentation although it does makes explaining and evaluating easier.

Thanks, chronic, I finally figured out how to actually get the video to output. Had no problem creating a video with the software. It was just when I hit create, it would not show where the created video would get saveed too. I finally figured it out and produced this quick video :
