43 Split Tests By Ryan Deiss

It looks like a great course however I hate listening to audio. I wish it was at least a powerpointe or a .pdf. Anyway, is there anyone that has implemented it successfully and seen an increase in conversions. Thanks

You should have gotten a pdf with the slides. Look for "43-tests-handout.pdf" in your folder.

I got the course, but I don't know whether or not to believe everything they recommend. For example, he says his split tests show blue is the best background color for a sales page, but his own sales pages have a white background...

But a lot of his other stuff was spot on and helped me increase my conversions for sure.

    Hope that helps.

Its important to remember that he has a LOT of businesses, products, and sales pages. If he says that blue pages are giving him better test results, they probably are.

His sales pages probably have white backgrounds because he doesn't have time to change 100 sales pages every time he gets a statistically significant test result.

I've used this product with great success. Of course its VERY important to constantly conduct your own tests...but when I've made my initial sales page based on his suggestions, my initial conversions are MUCH better than usual. Its like getting a 6 month testing head-start.

It lets me test the really important stuff - headline copy, body copy, and price - with a high degree of confidence that other elements of the page aren't hurting me.

I totally agree with this. I read through their split tests and some of them made no sense whatsoever. In one of their tests they said that changing the color of the buy button improved sales by something crazy like 20%. That's absolutely impossible. You're not going to get a 20% sales bump by changing something as tiny as the color of your button from green to orange.

That's exactly my point... when the sales page for 43 split tests was created, they already knew that a blue background converts better. So why wasn't the background blue?

But I agree that most of the stuff is spot on, and in my case at least, it helped me increase my conversions a LOT.

Well, it did work for me. Perhaps an orange button works better because it stands out on the page so people who are just scrolling/scanning can notice it more. Or perhaps because orange encourages people to take action. Who knows. Can't argue with the numbers though. It just works is what I have found.

Also remember that PayPal changed their button colors from Blue/Gray/White to Orange too, so he must be on to something.

The way I see 43 Split Tests is a best practice guide which gives you one side of the equation to test, the other side, you can use what you think looks best or what you see others using.

Your results will show you what works best for your market.

There are few universal rules since buyers have a particular thought in mind but it differs from product to product, niche to niche.

    Rohit,

there's only one way to find out: test for yourself.

But it's also a good thing to look what other marketers do. But keep testing, even the best salespages in the world can be improved upon.

Personally I've found that a blue background converts better, although I find it really ugly. It seems to attract the visitors attention thru it's 'uglyness'!
