PyroGenius Commenter & ScrapeBox

Don't worry this is not another "How do they compare" thread. Although I thought about it.

I have been looking at both of these programs and Bookmarking Demon.

I have narrowed it down to the two in the title. So my main question is....

Is there any benefit to having both? I mean besides to the sellers.

Seriously, I have read that they are both very good programs. Lots of updates and good support. Some people give the nod to PG while others swear by SB.

I would also like to hear from anyone that owns both programs to see if they still use both.

It's almost like a Mac vs. PC commercial. Many people say that PG is easier but.....SB is more powerful. OK maybe not exactly like a Mac - PC commercial but you get the point. Before you get mad I use Linux.

I want some good fast backlinks. I like the idea of being able to generate these backilnks myself as well as generating lists of high PR sites.

Now before someone points out - Yes, I know the best way is to manually build backlinks.

I'm not actually looking for the best way, maybe the fastest. Or maybe just a fast way that I can use on 40 sites in the next week - with a one time cost.

I am just learning about these programs and would appreciate your input and thoughts.

Oh, and one thing I do know. If using these programs was a guaranteed way to get sandboxed by G@@gle, then your competitors would be 'helping' your site's backlinks as I type.

Thanks again,
Steve

I can't comment on PyroGenius but I will say that ScrapeBox is the best piece of software I've bought since I began online.

Obviously all of the features to get links automatically are great, but there is so much power in the scraping component.

The creator also works tirelessly and keeps updating it with new features which is a huge plus.

      Hi Pat,

Thank you. I should have known you'd find this thread.

If I'd have been smart, I would have just talked to you. I actually sent a PM to both companies with questions. I really didn't want to bother you with any questions but I knew you were/are a fan of ScrapeBox. Neither company has answered yet.

As a matter of fact, I bought your WSO earlier today. I bought it before I even posted this question.

Then, not being very patient myself, I went and bought Pyro. Yes, after I bought your WSO. I was curious and figured your info was good either way, and Pyro is only $37.

Pyro requires .Net Framework, which is probably why it does not work on my main machine. My WinXP shows I have .Net 3.5 installed but.... well, I will need to try Pyro on another machine. No problem, I have 3 WinXP machines sitting here. Yeah - maybe later.

I have to tell you that I am not too fond of .Net, past experience. Although, I am sure I will get the program running on a different system.

So, not being a very patient person myself, I went and bought ScrapeBox when Pyro quit for the second time.

I was surprised at how long it took the SB team to create my account. I mean, I must have waited a full 7 minutes. Although in all fairness I didn't try it sooner, so it may have been working earlier.

Anyway, I have played with SB a little and it's pretty cool. It would probably be even more cool if I took the time to read the manual. It's way cool the way it locates and tests free proxies. I never realized there were that many free proxies. SB pulled a list of over 2,000 although after testing 3X only 39 keep working.

The videos that came with SB highly recommend not using free proxies if you want the best results. Sure was fun to play with though. I harvested hundreds of URLs. Kind of like a Tiger cub playing with it's meal. No clue what else to do with it-yet.

I will watch your WSO videos tomorrow and see what I can get done. I will finish going through your pdf tonight. This should be a real kick.....

Thank you for finding my thread and responding. Your WSO seems highly recommended by several people and I am looking forward to going through the whole thing.

      Have a great evening Pat.

      Steve

UPDATE: I G@@gled and found that .Net programs won't run from a network drive. I dragged the folder to my Desktop and it now seems to work fine.

After I play with both of these programs for a while I will write a short comparison of both of them.

Haha, wow. Sound's like you're having fun with them both?

The owner is swamped with support requests so it might take her a little while to get back to you. Feel free to PM/email me if you have any questions, though.

        Pat.

Ok so I thought maybe I'd update this post to actually include some results.

I just tried ScrapeBox for the first time. In fact I was running it in the background while reading a thread where someone with HostGator received an email complaining about them spamming posts to promote their site. Kind of ironic. I was doing exactly what HG was threatening to close someone else's account for? Go figure. LOL

Anyway I ran a simple task as I saw in Pat's ScrapeBox Domination video. His video showed how to comment on a popular subject and how to make it look natural.

I scraped a list of WordPress blogs. Maybe 1,200-1,500. I don't honestly remember.

After scraping this list of blogs I entered a spun relevent comment using the syntax {good|great|awesome}.

I then used fast mode to post comments. It completed approx 500 in maybe 10 minutes. Then the software asked if I wanted to go slow and try the remaining. I selected yes and it posted another approx 150 then the software froze.

I had never upgraded my ScrapeBox. I checked and there were several upgrades since I installed my software.

Anyway, some results. According to SEOQuake I had approx 109 links to my domain. After maybe 4 days I now have approx 2,076 links to my domain. I say approx because every day the number goes up. 2 days ago it was 1,607. Yesterday it was 1,8XX.

The original 109 links were mainly from article submissions and a couple of bookmarks.

These 2,000 links came very easy but so far my site has not moved at all. I did not use keyword anchor text with this batch which was probably a mistake. Oh well. Pat didn't use it in this particular video. LOL

Anyway, I just thought someone here searching may be interested. This software can surely get you in trouble. I'd bet that if I wanted to spend the time, I could add 100,000 backlinks by this weekend. That'd probably tick someone off. HG? G@@gle?

          Steve

PS. This site was designed for Amazon in November. I had approx 220 backlinks. After Amazon fired me, Colorado, I deleted all the content that these links were directed at. I was on the first page of G until I did this. Then I dropped out of site (#60). I have since recovered to the second page (#12) of G by submittng a few more articles and adding more content to the site.

              Hi,

Honestly, I have not used Pyro one time since I bought it. I have used ScrapeBox to post comments one time.

While I was running SB that one time I was also reading this forum. Someone received an email from HostGator. Seems one of his domains received a complaint. Someone used spam comments and HG was going to close his account.

I posted approx 1,500 comments with ScrapeBox. That domain now shows over 5,000 backlinks. It started with 117. After I used SB to post comments the number of backlinks went up every day by a thousand or so. It peaked at over 6,000 and has steadily, slowly, declined since.

All of these links did not do anything at all for my position. Now I have to admit that I did not use good anchor text for any of those links. If I had used good anchor text, that may have made a huge difference.

I pretty much have not used SB since.

I actually about seeing if I could sell them both. I am sure there are people still getting good use our of them.

              Steve
