Thanks for the review man. Much appreciated. I was holding out on buying LC. I went ahead and got Mike Dillard's course and will be doing a review on that.

He did say all along that the first 1 or 2 modules would be very "beginner" (which they are)

The "Mass Control 3.0" content comes in module 3 & 4.

    I can't agree with OP.

I judge myself pretty advanced (my online company is at the half a million level) and still, I wasn't even using the traffic strategy Frank teaches... in module ONE.

I'm starting to implement it right now.
Are you already using it ?

I'm finding it still valuable even with the basic modules. They have interesting methods to find traffic. Module 3 was a real eye opener.

Module 3 really brought it all home. Though some of it is beginner, there are a few things in there that could greatly benefit your business if used the right way.

Did everyone that bought get a ticket to the live event? I know a lot of people paid the $2k for the course then didn't get a ticket, so were disappointed!

Don't know if they've managed to satisfy all the demand by now though.

They sold ~1500 copies of the course and can only accommodate 550 people at the conference. This was disclosed in the sales videos, but apparently lots of people missed this

I'd say that everyone that bought a ticket and actually attended the class at anytime during the 10 days or so that registration/waiting list were open, should have a ticket by now.
Of course a few people will complain that they accessed the course for the first time on July 15th and missed the registration period

I am really unhappy with the fact that he skipped over some very important aspects of building and maintaining a quality list. Giving us a little primer in effective online copy writing for example would have been useful. If module 4 isn't really good then I think I am going to ask for a refund and skip the conference in california.

To be very honest, if you guys were to compare Video Boss with List Control. Which one is better?

Anyway, I've found that List Control customer service is not that good...

I don't know why, the customer service is just bad in my honest opinion.

PS : Absolute newbies will be very frustrated about this as I've seen so many people are struggling with the "traffic" which is Google Adwords... So basically, you still need to do lots of stuff on your own and don't expect much from this course if you're an absolute newbie. My guts say that Module 4 is definitely not for newbie, it's for those advanced marketers who already know what they're doing and help grow their businesses in Module 4.

Video Boss is much better by far. I worked in the film industry for a few years and must say Andy Jenkins provides some the absolute best training I have seen. He really breaks down each and every aspect of what someone would need to know to create high quality and compelling video content.

I've already asked for the refund... I just feel very bad about the customer support/service.. I really wonder are there any services except something like your Credit Card services provide 24/7 services and solve your very "simple" problems real fast..

PS : I always get slow response with List Control support, perhaps they are really just TOO busy. In terms of customer support, I rate 2 out of 5.

There's about 4 or 5 people in here who do not sound satisfied with the product, so to be honest I have to chime in with what I'm seeing inside the members area. Tens of people who are stoked that somebody finally teaches them the "basic" stuff step by step.
Some of them are already getting results, and the community is very helpful.

It's just too bad the happy ones don't take the time to post here on WF.

I think the product is excellent. It covers much of the foundational stuff (that everyone should be doing but is not) and than some more advanced as well. It would be interesting to see how many WF members are doing what is in module 1 and 2 alone. I'm not talking about a vague... "knowing".. that they should do it - I'm talking about "doing it." My guess is it is damn few. I'm as guilty as anyone.

Hey guys, so I just finished the whole course myself and I can tell you the following. It was a great course. The first 2 weeks was basic email marketing but had some great pointers. 3rd week was intermediate stuff and was all about making your subscribers buy from you and like you and enjoy you. 4th week was really advance and you have to break down this stuff in small bits to fully understand and implement this.

Overall I did learn a lot more from 3rd and 4th week and I consider myself advance internet marketer and have a indepth understanding of IM.

This course is not for people who are trying to make it "big" fast or who are trying to get "rich" fast. It is more about building yourself a brand, a celebrity status in your niche, having people wanting to open up your emails and actually waiting to get your emails.

His stuff is for people who understand psychology behind internet marketing and how you can use this stuff in your business.

It actually took me few days to understand everything he had to offer in 3rd - 4th week and its not that I am dumb or anything considering I am a 2nd year graduate law student. It is basically trying to understand everything and implementing it properly.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

lousy comments to start this thread.... bashing this course... I'm IN the course... I'm IN franks mastermind and I'm STILL learning new stuff....

btw the stuff on his blog is TOTALLY different than the stuff in the course... you're talking about free stuff to launch MC 1, vs stuff 2+ years later...

also the template he gives you there is VEEEERRRY different than the ones in the course...

the course is fantastic, the membership system is killer, and the content is chunked in a way so you can learn, then implement fast.

To the ppl saying otherwise, you're either

    A. not in the course and talking out of your rear end...
    B. already doing everything frank/trey teach in the course and are already making high 6 or 7 figures a year in your business.

I got Mass Control 2.0 and went to the seminar and I also got Listcontrol and I'm going to the seminar in May.

The first two modules of Listcontrol were basic but the truth is that it's impossible to build a relationship with a list if you have no clue how to actually set up a squeeze page and how to drive traffic. That's exactly what you'll learn in Module 1&2.

Module 3 and 4 are advanced, and by that I don't mean advanced on a technical level. It's the stuff that you don't learn in your regular $47 ebooks or courses.

He's showing you basically how to make your subscribers love you and to make them raving fans while at the same time actually selling them something, but in a cool way.

You learn how to make money from your list while at the same time increasing your good karma with them. How cool is that?

Module 3 was great, module 4 was OUTSTANDING.

Great advanced marketing stuff that I haven't seen before. Like others said, you must watch it a couple of times to really get it, but if you implement it you'll gain authority in your niche, gain celebrity status and therefore you'll be able to command premium prices while having people like you.

Anyway, that's obviously just my opinion and it might be biased. Mass Control 2.0 is what got me started online and it allowed me to quit my day job 7 months after learning about Internet Marketing. (It also helped that I took MASSIVE action implementing it)

Therefore, I'd buy anything that this dude puts out.

That just shows you that his stuff works. I pay premium prices for his products, I'm happy with the results that I get and therefore you can basically call me a fan and it's very likely that I buy again from him.

So ask yourself, if this guy is making several million dollars with each product launch and thousands of dollars from his list, do you think he might have something to teach that could help you to make more money?

I almost forgot to mention, if you were lucky enough to sign up for the seminar, then the course is a absolute no-brainer.

      Cheers,

I am on the List control course.

I am quite new to IM (12 months of banging my head but haven't made a $ yet).

Mode 1 and Mode 2 were taught by old cousin Trey and these have been my fav part of the course.

The only downside for me is that I will be selling my own product (cd's etc) and they haven't taught us how to make a sales page, how to collect payment etc. However I have just asked the other members of the course if they could help me out with this, so I know it won't be a problem.

That is a another advantage of being on the course is that you have access to other like minded, action taking people who are willing to put there money where there mouth is.

When signing up for this course it was a huge stretch for me to come up with the money. However there is no way that I could go another 12 months of wasting my time, money and just the heart break of it all.

          totally different products.

The main difference is that Ryan's is more about GETTING people onto a list.

Frank's is more about KEEPING them on the list and making them think you're cool/expert/etc. That's module 3&4 of List Control.

Modules 1&2 of List Control is about getting people onto your list using PPC.

Ryan's product is about getting people onto your list using free methods (although it's not great for complete newbies with no list etc)

Why don't you register on clickbank as a vendor? It's easy to do & there's an option there for physical shipments (never used it myself).

Frank did not get lazy. He just knows what his market wants. The truth is that the people he was targeting wanted someone to show them the basics. Now module 3 and 4 are why his stuff sells. Methods, he shows are worth far more then the price, but at the same time you can get this info for $20 you just need to know where to look.

Frank Kern;s List Control was worth the money. As I am in Australia I am not able to travel to the live event.

As for the content of the course...in my opinion it is all gold.

Frank Kern knows what he is talking about as he understands marketing and psychology. You do not need a degree to work in the IM industry, but you do need to know how to understand and acknowledge who your market is before you begin any marketing strategy.

I had been getting Frank and Eben's stuff on ebay... but I found that a lot of that stuff was actually badly done bootlegs. I respect copyright law and the work put into building the programs so I reported these guys to eBay.

I love Franks stuff. I have the OLD Mass Control program that I bought from a friend. I keep every email that I get from who I consider my "BIG 3" Eben Pagan, Frank Kern, and Jason Moffatt. I don't just read them... I print them and study them.

Recently, I added John Carlton to the mix. Seeing that the "BIG 3" talk about the guy nonstop I thought I'd be a dummy not to.

There are a couple of John Carlton groups on Facebook... one that I'm a member of is "John Carlton Students." They are just getting started but offer some great free content from John.

Module 4 FTW. He Actually broke down his entire system and painstakingly walks through previous RECENT launches. that was so killer, and worth the entire tuition right there.

Hilarious thing is that just watching Frank is giving me ideas to generate cash not even using the List Control method, but from the other lessons he taught in the latter parts of the course. In fact, I got a speaking gig at an upcoming event to promote a new product idea I have that will MORE than make up for what I spent on the course.

The only reason I bought list control was for the live event in San Diego. I've purchased Frank Kern's previous Mass Control 1 and 2. Been very successful with them. I know for a fact this List control will work.

I have gone through it and here's my take on it. Mods 1 and 2 are basic. But they are very informative and it's what you need to know to make this work.

Mod 3 is intermediate. But delivers some great stuff in there.

Mod 4 is purely advanced stuff. I loved it. For me Module 4 was worth the cost. The event alone was worth the cost. I mean we're getting training on Kern's next three product launches. What more can you ask for.

Anyways that's just my take on it.

c-ya at the live event ;-)

I've just done the ListControl course.

I was as interested to see how the whole thing would be delivered as much as the actual content as my company is working on an educational product for launch soon, I thought it'd kill two birds with one stone to take the course.

Some really, really good content in there. Some principles that, quite simply, work.

A couple of them I'd stumbled on accidentally before I took the course (CCPC) - and they convert like crazy. And some of the other stuff I knew about because I'd seen guys like Frank and Andy Jenkins use them in their own product launches. But to have them explained and detailed certainly helps.

I think it was well worth the investment, the delivery was great, the modules were all different but tied in well.

I take the view that if I read a book and manage to get to just ONE tip from it that helps me, it was worth it. Same with courses like this - a certain amount of the info I already understood, but could see the immense value of including it for those people who are just starting out. I would have LOVED to have had access to this information 10 years ago as I would have been able to get to a point in my business a lot quicker.

In short, Listcontrol contains some principles that, when implemented, simply can not fail but to produce positive results.

I have just gone through List Control and will add my "2 cents" to this discussion.

Yes the first two modules are fairly basic, but this allows a beginner to set up a process to generate a list and utilize the methods he lays out in the advanced modules.

The true "gold" will be the live event with frank teaching the entire weekend, and the networking with like minded people.

You can not get this value with a 429 or $97 product!
If you only learn one new idea that you can implement in your business, you will make far more back than the price of the product.

There are too many people who can not get out of the "free" information mindset, and this will stop most of them from ever improving their current situation.

Admission to a Frank Kern Event aka "Party" is worth the cost alone... :-)

Oh I see... so you're happy to pay $2,000 for an add-on to the product that hasn't happened yet and you don't know what's going to deliver...

You should rate the product by the product itself, not by any promise for future events. The info within List Control is certainly NOT for a $2k product.
