White Smoke Writing Software? Any experiences?

Hey guys!

Since i'm not a native english speaking dude, i would like somehow to improve my language skills + i need something to correct my mistakes. I mean, let's face it, article marketing ROCKS.

I've found this software "White Smoke". It costs 80$ (93 if you purchase a backup version).

So, has anyone had any experience with this software? I would buy it if it would improve my grammar, punctuation, etc.

I tried it but didn't really like it. Most of the "errors" it found were not errors at all. I don't have it installed anymore or I would give you an example. I found it cumbersome to use and also didn't like the way it integrated with my programs, it would crash everything often. Overall, I wouldn't buy it again knowing what I do now.

Well, I've heard some excellent reviews regarding the product however the price isn't so attractive. I mean if your writing was acceptable except for a few spelling issues and some grammar. Your regular word processor should be able to pick it up. There are also many other free software out there that can help you write better or correct your grammar mistakes.

However since you're just starting out it might be a good investment but I guess it's as usual a personal opinion. If I were in your position I would invest the money into some writing course instead this way it not only improves my articles but also my writing capabilities and abilities. That way I'm not reliant on a software for my income. But as mentioned it all a choice of personal opinion. It sort of varies from person to person and what they prefer.

Thanks, All the best to you.

I've purchased WhiteSmoke and yes I didn't like it too. I thought I was a victim of another hype program because if you search Google about grammar software, WhiteSmoke always shows on top. But after a while, I am seeing the benefits of having one.

I'm not a native English speaker and quite often I need the help from this software to enhance my writing style. The software has gone several updates and it no longer crashes in Windows 7. I particularly liked the new TGEN editor which makes the whole editing process a breeze.

If you're planning to buy this software, don't expect that it will magically turn your article into a 'perfect' one. You must have a basic understanding how grammar works because sometimes the suggestions are just plain wrong.

I also tried essayrater.com for about a month. It's like WhiteSmoke, only that you work online, no desktop app available. Basically, it will rate your article by giving advices to common errors. Still, WhiteSmoke gives numerous enhancing options.
