Just doing some due diligence on this and it was apparently first launched in June of 2009 or at least there is a review of it on that date at IM Reportcard a snippet of which i will put below.

Affiliate Silver Bullet was created by Internet marketer Dustin Struckman as a way to help other affiliates who are interested in e-mail list building. Mr. Struckman has been a full-time Internet marketer and product creator for many years and is well respected within Internet marketing forums such as the Warrior Forum.

However the creators on my promo email are Soren John and Cindy of clickbank pirate fame ( i wonder if they bought the system from Mr Struckman ).

I like the idea of this from what i have seen so far and will most likely purchase today. This doesn't seem to be promoted by the usual bighitters.

I bought this when Justin first launched this 2 years ago. It was great then.

I don't know if they are selling the same products bullets again or if they are doing the concept with new clickbank products. If these are the same products again it might not be worth it as the products would be fairly out of date by now.

The problem with this was what we IM'ers all face getting traffic to your landing pages. If you have a cost effective way of getting traffic to your landing pages this is a great system to start building your lists.

Hey guys!

Let me answer a few things for you

- Yep, this was Dustin Struckman's product first. We have bought it, reprogrammed the backend, so that it is.. like... a million times more powerful.

We have plugged it into our normal mailing schedule - so any time that we are promoting a Clickbank product launch, or something else that is converting really well, we are mailing your leads too (if you are hosted the bullets with us) - using your Clickbank affiliate ID.

This means that you can just focus on building your lists, by promoting the squeezepages.

- Yes - you can also host them yourself. This is all part of the membership, at no extra cost. You can download the bullets, use the simple list import at aweber, and be up and running very very fast.

- There are some products in there that are the same as when Dustin launched it two years ago - so some are promoting older products, but - not just any products. We have left them there because they are evergreen and still making sales... but the main reason is more powerful than that too...

What happens when someone subscribes via your squeezepage, is that they go into a 5 part email course.

This course is packed full of great content - and also promotes the initial product.

BUT - we aren't just doing this for the once-off product sale - the main goal is to get them on the list, by encouraging them to join with the high quality content... THEN, we promote other products. The products that the email series, in some cases, are older proven converters, so we have that in the background - and then Soren and I mailing to them in followup emails/broadcasts as well

Hey Jon!

You need to choose either allowing us to host the list for you - or you host it yourself. You can choose to have any combination of them hosted by you - or us. Totally up to you, but - you can't export the list if we are hosting it.

There are a couple of ways that you can make it work though, if you want to be building/hosting your own list - but still benefiting from the monetization that Soren and I do on your behalf

1) Download the bullet and host it on your own aweber account, then... in the AR series, promote one of the other bullets, using the 'hosted by us link'. This way they will be on both your list - and ours, so you can monetize it yourself - as well as benefiting from the emails that we send.

2) You could sign up to one of the squeezepage lists yourself - so that you receive the emails to your own email address. Then, when Soren emails - copy and paste that email and send it out as a broadcast to the guys on your list.

But yeah, the choices are all up to you

Once you get traffic to the squeeze pages the system looks good for converting the traffic to buyers but it's going to be difficult to get free traffic to the squeeze pages when you have a large number of persons competing for the same keywords.

That 'might' be true if everyone was using the same sort of traffic... Fortunately there are literally hundreds of different ways to generate traffic. I used the old system and did build my internet marketing list. I used safelists pretty much. I did not try to get SEO Traffic. Typically, whenever I did a mailing in Viralurl or ListJoe I would have about 15 new people added to my list.

I used the feature in Aweber to automatically add someone who came in on one list to my main internet marketing list. And with that, I had a list growing at 10-15 every three days.

Eventually, I lost interest in mailing with Viralurl and ListJoe as they took energy and I pursued other things.

It worked as advertised. I was kind of sorry to see it end.

I see that the new owners are on now and would be interested to know how what they are doing that is more powerful.

I did get an invitation to re-join and am contemplating.

I would say that if you are not interested in building an internet marketing list (like maybe you might wnat to work in another niche); and if the products the new owners are using as bullets are the same as they were when I was doing Affiliate Silver Bullet, you probably want to hold off on this.

You are right, this product is not going to be as useful if you are not planning on building a targeted IM niche list, but it you are going to be building a list. If that is exactly what you are trying to do though - and you don't have time to put all the pieces together, well... this is perfect for you. Even if you know how to do it all, having someone else create 30 ready made list building funnels is going to save you a lot of time. Which is time that you can spend promoting the top end of your funnels - giving away high quality ecourses - and building your list.

The massive difference that we have with the new ASB is that we have made the 'hosted for you' aspect of the membership included in the price - so you never need to pay again. At the moment, our list size is over 250k - and we have been managing lists for a few years, so we are kinda good at it

This is where you will make your REAL money. We have a similar set-up at CB Pirate, where we can monetize your lists for you - and when we mail our lists sometimes we have members of ours who rank in JV leaderboard competitions, just by having us mail out (using their CB ID's in our emails).

Having Soren and I organise JV email swaps, and set up mailing schedules etc to bring in every chance for more income is a HUGE benefit.

And of course, you can choose to host the list yourself, if you don't want us to monetize it for you.

Hello Cindy - I'm trying to wrap my head around all this so please bear with me. If I go with your hosting plan do I get access to the names captured due to my efforts? And when you do a separate mailing my CB links only appear in the mailings going out to my list correct? Hey Matthew,

We have used some tricky programming so that when we blast our entire list, it automatically places your CB ID into the emails of the subscribers you have put into the hosted lists.

This means that we don't mail all of yours separately, but we mail once - and all the emails go out programmed with the links of the people who have referred them via the squeezepages.

This is a super easy way to build your list - because all you need to do is login to your members area, click to get your bullet link - and that is it. You just send traffic to that link.

You don't get direct access to that list, like.. you can't email them, or export the list etc, but we manage it and mail on your behalf.

The other option is to download the bullet and use our really easy followup series import (we show you how in video tutorials) - then you get full control of your list, we have about 20 emails in the series ready to go, so you can just import it and have it ready super easily.

You don't benefit from Soren doing the email blasts for the current product launches etc, but you can do that yourself - even if you just subscribe to one of our lists, see what Soren and I are promoting at the time - and then copy and paste that out to a broadcast message to your peeps.

Thanks for the input Charles ... Couldn't agree more, safelist are really effective if you're just starting out. Which is why safelist advertising formed part one of the the training I created for the members.

That's the first of many training pages on a ton of different traffic sources - didn't plan on showing it here, but I think it illustrates the main difference between the old and the new
ASB.

Also... some of the products in there are the same as before and some are new (we made sure the old one were still up and converting).

But the initial products is not really the issue... it's about the video squeeze pages and building your list (or let us manage your list). The old ASB only had the 5 part ecourse and you had to come up with your own stuff for follow ups. Now there are 25 professionally written emails in every series. And you can add more (if you host your own list), or we'll keep broadcasting to your leads on your behalf (forever!).

Yep guess that's what I meant

And the point was... Since you know how the old system worked (and it did work), you also know that you were kinda left on your own, to figure out how to drive the traffic.

We made a lot of other improvements, but I do think the main one is the enhanced training and step by step guys (especially for people who are new to this).

btw if you're wondering... That's the reason Dustin closed it down, and then offered let us relaunch it (after some tinkering).

He knew the system worked, but did not feel he could teach people how to use it... We're pretty sure we can

Thanks! There is a little bit of a cross-over though. When you use the ASB bullets, you also begin to promote ASB as part of the system (thus, becoming an affiliate). Any time you promote your squeezepages for any of the Clickbank products - you automatically get all of the backend power of promoting a ton of other products (ASB included).

So, no hard feelings Teleologise - and thanks Ken! Back on focussing on the product now. *grins*

Hey,

I know this was for Soren, hope you don't mind me jumping in and answering for you - he is a bit busy at the moment

So, you will get 50% commissions for referring someone to ASB - less the clickbank fees. This is a 7 month micro continuity program, so after you have paid your joining fee - and then 6 monthly payments, you don't pay anything else forever.

By backend, I am guessing you are wondering what we mail about? We mail for approx 4 promotions each month. Most are high profile Clickbank launches, or, if not... it is a high converting evergreen product. We use our system too, with our staff driving traffic to the squeezepages that our members use too - so we take good care of the list, because a chunk of that list is also ours too! The commissions vary, but it's Clickbank, so it is generally between about 50 and 75% commissions.

If that isn't what you meant, please clarify and I'll do my best to answer!

Since you have the most experience promoting the products used in the ASB system, do you provide information like subscriber value for people who want to buy traffic?

Also, if you host the optin page/list, etc., do you have a way for users to place pixels and install other tracking codes to determine how well a traffic source is working for driving optins?

Alternatively is there a way users can host their own optin page, but then send them to the list that you manage?

Sorry for the delayed response! We are out at Bristol for an event and have only just remembered pop by

So, firstly... we don't have figures on the cost per sub value - some of that will depend on the traffic you send - but in a demo, Soren followed the instructions in the training, starting with no list - just following the instructions, and got 38 optins now - and 3 sales... and now there are an extra 38 ppl on the list that we will keep monetizing (3 of whom are proven buyers).

Hmm.. second - If we are hosting the list for you you cannot add any extra tracking to the pages - you can't edit them, we just host them for you - so it's either one or the other. You can download the bullets and host them yourself though, which means you can put the tracking code on there if you like quite easily.

Lastly, what some people are doing is using a combination of the systems - so, some people will choose to download and host one or two of the bullets - and promote those, using the traffic gen methods that we train them in (or just making up their own)... and then in those autoresponder series, adding a followup email, to get people onto one of the hosted by us lists - so, just recommend a different ecourse to your subscribers as part of the process. Then you can have them on both lists - and if they get annoyed at us doing the full 'pitch' thing, you still have them on your list - they are just mad with us.. lol

Hi looks good, would like to no,if the hosting and emailing is done by Affiliate Silver Bullet, what happens after the membership ends,ie when you have all 28 bullets,do they still carry on emailing your list for you,or dose it all stop.

As far as seeing the subscribers... it's something that we completely overlooked - but we did a bit of a brainstorming thing over the weekend and have a super cool plan for that. I can update you on it prob in the next week or so, but it will solve that issue - and totally overdeliver too

I have to say that if you are trying to develop your own websites, get traffic, seo listbuilding, adfinitum, when I looked at the Silver Bullets, I almost cried. It seems like the answer to a prayer. There was one problem that I saw however, the pages that are hosted by you look like affiliate sites, at least the offer I received from one of the affiliates, now if you want to do article marketing for the sites, it won't work (stop me if I am wrong). So, the alternative is to host on own server uploading, etc. argh!!!! Help

Hey guys

Hmm.. not sure if there is another way to do the hosted sites - without having a username on there. You need to have your username in the link, so that our system knows that you are the one promoting that page.

If you want to have it so that there is no username in the link you can do a couple of things (but yeah.. it is more work).

1) You could get a redirect to a different domain name - so that in the browser window it will still be the same site, but in the address bar, it shows the name of the domain that you are sending the person to.

2) You can download the bullets - and host them yourself. This means that you have to host the list too. It's not that tricky, we have step by step video instructions for you to follow - and then you can host them where ever you like

If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.

Sorry, we state on the registration page that you should choose your username carefully - we cannot change it at all sorry.

Gratz on your first lead!! We just added a new function today that will email you when you get a new signup. If you are an experienced marketer and don't want masses of emails to tell you that you got a new signup, no probs either - you can switch off the function in your profile

Could someone clear up for me the issue regarding how you can't use article marketing because of the affiliate page?? Since i'm having the sites hosted for me, is it ok for me to purchase a domain name and have that domain name be a redirect to the affiliate page/site? So in my resource box i'll have the neat looking domain name but when clicked on it will go directly to the affiliate site/page, is that ok/allowed?

You CAN use article marketing....you just can't submit to EZA. But if you've got your own domain (and mask and forward it) you should be fine with EZA. Just remember, USEFUL, HELPFUL content is the key.

Hey guys,

Yeah - Cypherslock, you are right. EZA is very
particular about what you can and can't submit.

Most of the other article sites will be fine
with a cloaked redirect, or however you want to
send the traffic over to the squeezepage.

The only way I can think of, to get around this,
is to host the bullets yourself - or only promote
on the other article directories that don't have
a problem with affiliate link redirects.

Hello,

I have a question about people in the CBPirate program.

I think that Affiliate Bullet looks very much like an improved and more flexible version of CBPirate and I am tempted to choose the new version.

However I am worried that if I terminate my membership to CBPirate to take a new membership to Affiliate Bullet I might loose the leads that were collected in the CBPirate mail list.

Can anybody clarify these points?

I just have a question for Soren or Cindy or John. In an earlier post, Cindy wrote:

  I have been with Affiliate Silver Bullet for the last 2 months. I have managed to aquire 2400 to my list in that time using only safelists. I know how many I have added because gmail emails me every time a new one signs on. My problem is that I have only made about 12 sales in that time. I dont know whether its a product problem or very poor traffic. I t hink that traffic is traffic if they went through the hassle of signing up then there must be enough interest with a little push to make a sale?? Has anyone else experienced poor conversions with this product??? I get over 2000 clicks a day according to clickbank but only about 6 of them make it to the order impression page and then from there 0 on the order form submit page. Then when I sometimes get an order submit it doesn't go through??:confused:

  What if I wanted to promote another CB product to my list, aquired through ASB ? Something other then what your bullets or follow up emails are promoting. Something that isn't in your system at all. Would I be able to do it with the hosted option ? Or will it require me hosting my list myself ?

  I just signed up and I was thrilled to read that you achieved 2000 signups to your list, but wow, those conversions must be disappointing.
  
  It seems that you just sort of get a Silver Bullet assigned to you, right?
  I got a Forex program to start with. Luckily, I have done Forex trading, but this would be a tough first product if someone didn't even know what it was.

  I purchased the "affiliate silver bullet" a couple months ago and I think it is pretty good.
  
  I do like the the versatility you have with the bullets. You can basically download and host each "silver bullet" on your own server and use your autoresponder.
  
  This is good because you are capturing the leads and not passing them on to someone else to manage. You want to KEEP those leads.
  
  As Cindy Mentioned earlier and I agree...
  
  Take one silver bullet and hosting it yourself. Load your own autoresponder with the ready made emails so you are capturing the leads.
  
  I personally modify the emails to my liking and promote the products I want. I then sign up with my test email account and test everything.
  
  Send traffic to this one "bullet" --- It is much easier than trying to send traffic to all 28.
  
  You can leave the others bullets where they are and send the leads you aready have to those links. This keeps the leads in your funnel and you can let the ASB keep sending the emails.
  
  Another option is to host them all yourself and send traffic to whatever bullet best matches the topic discussed.
  
  For example, if you write an article on traffic...send them to the "traffic" bullet. If it's affiliate marketing...send them to the "affiliate marketing" bullet. You can still send the traffic to the other bullets later in the email series.
  
  Let me add that....
  
  I have been working on other projects so I have not done much with the bullets to give any hard conversion numbers...Maybe in the near future.
  
  They might do okay leaving them as is but taking the time to modify the emails could be much better. Just my opinion.

Ok - here we go!

@ Mario - If you cancel your membership with CBP (or ASB), we will
keep marketing to your leads on your behalf no matter how long you
were with us. After all, you paid for the packages/bullets, you have
done the work - so, we stand by what we say - yes, your leads are
tagged to you FOR LIFE. You can even keep the bullets/packages that
you have already paid for - and keep using them.

The only time this doesn't apply, is if you refund any part of the
program what-so-ever. If you refund, we take it all back, you lose
account access and all lead ownership.

@ Lynne - Hey Lynne

Let me try break it down a little for you

1) Download an ASB Bullet (you choose which one)

2) Set it up on your hosting (follow the video training materials)

3) In your autoresponder series for the bullet you are hosting, make
a followup email that asks them to go and sign up at one of the bullets
that we host for you. (We have copy and paste promo tools in each of
the bullet downloads).

This way, you are getting the leads on your list - and you are able to
also monetize he list, by sending them to another great resource - and
getting them on the hosted-by-us list at the same time.

You wont get all of them to do it, but - you will get the action takers,
which are the people that you want most!

And, it's not a problem at all - your clickbank ID is hidden - we just
show your username in the link, so that we can identify your account.
This allows you to switch between clickbank accounts if you choose to
without having to go and change all of your links - you can just edit
it in your profile.

I now have over 3200 names collected with the program. The sales are starting to trickle in , no $100-$200 days yet but I did make around $75
yesterday. I think if I keep this up eventuall I could have consistent $100
days. I forgot to mention alot of the products that were sold are recurring
billing so I will continue to be paid month after month until the buyer cancels his/her subscription.

That is great to hear

By the way - since you have driven that many leads into the system, you should look at hosting the list yourself - using the same traffic generation methods that you are using, but capturing the leads to them yourself - so that if/when you choose to create and release your own product, you can use your list as a platform to launch it

This is good because the big selling points for Affiliate Silver Bullet (ASB) is the video squeeze page, unique pre-sell content pages, and the content-filled follow up emails. The pre-sell page and followup email sales copy should convert more visitors into buyers.

Well i joined this program and looked pretty good. I did not get up sells so i only start with 1 "bullet" to promote.

Unfortunately the first bullet provided is a terrible product, with 0.16 gravity in clickbank. So i cant really be bothered to promote it.

- You won't know until you create your account. We have over 100 different products in there, yours are allocated at random according to how many are active at the time, so that we don't have thousands of people promoting the same squeezepages.

- As Busterman said - it's not actually about the frontend product. We will keep promoting to them for years to come, so you just need to get them on the list, give them the high quality training series - and then we will do all of the marketing onwards for you.

As a side note, we are getting to work on a huge clickbank release by Jeremy Gislason and Simon Hodgkinson - with bonuses offered when your subscribers buy through your link, so now is a great time to get a whole heap of leads in, so we can pitch Simon and Jeremy's product to them! It really is gonna be huge!

I'am using a variety of safelists from viralhosts to targetproblaster , oh yes there is expense involved! I'am hoping that eventually I will be able to cancel out the safelists and this will run on autopilot? We'll see!:confused:

Hi Cindy, and other ASB users...

Cindy, your system looks like somehtign that I need and could find very useful....It covers one big thing in IM...aftersale, followup etc...

It's hard enough for IM people to get quality traffic and then we usually just send it to sales page offer and there is what everything ends, they dont buy, and never come back any more....

With your system this is avoided and we have much more chance to make a profit....

Even tho this looks great and I saw full sales page that explained a lot, I still have few questions

1. You mentioned that you continue to promote offers to list we build for long time....I saw in sales video that you send out 5 emails with ecorse and then another 4 set with 5 followup emails, so totally 25 emails.....is that were it ends or you still continue to promote even after those 25 emails?

2. I know tht we cant access our list if we dont host site on our server...are there any plans to make that list accessible to us, or that is impossible because o technical limitations

3. How often do you update and add new sites to promote? And If some product is no longer in use, do we get another one?

4. What are your plans for future? This looks like great thing and I think you should build on it...I'm sure fellow affiliates would support that idea....

Yes, we will keep mailing. What we have done is set up our aweber lists so that when we mail for a clickbank promotion (which we do frequently, like.. at least one solid 2,4 part email campaign a week), we also include you into the mix, so that the same emails, just with your clickbank ID, go out to your list too.

It's not really possible at this stage, I can't speak too much further in the future, but yeah.. right now, it's not in the plans to do that. Since we host them and use some techie programming to allow it all to happen smoothly and easily, to export those would be pretty much impossible for us, since we have over 14,000 different members ID's - and therefore would have to export 14,000 different lists.. sooo not gonna happen.. lol.

The whole point with this is to make it easy... it really is easy if you want to go ahead and host it yourself, you just don't get the benefit of us mailing beyond that initial 25 email series. If you want to host it yourself and collect the list, you can follow along in the videos, nothing is left up to chance, you can follow as we go - it's just about whether you want to trade the expense of having to host all of it yourself, or just let us manage it for you.

We might add some new ones in the future, like... if/when we release our own clickbank products, we might consider doing an extra pack. The main benefit to using this system though, is all about the followup series - yes, the initial product is great, but once you have them on your list, you will get mail outs for our product promotions as we mentioned earlier.

There have been a couple of products that have stopped working, when this happens, we just find a related product and switch it to promote that instead.

We are building our business bit by bit - at this stage we don't have plans to build this particular product further, other than just continuing to add value as I mentioned earlier with the unlimited followup series. Yes, we will have more products coming out soon

@ Cindy,
I read one review of Affiliate Silver bullet where the reviewer said that each month the ASB staff chose the top x ClickBank products and and built their bullets around that. If that is the case, is it fair to say that for any individual's 7 month subscription, they get access to the 29 bullets built during that time, but no more, and no fewer?

Also, since these are all clickbank products, they're mostly going to be IM related, right? Any advice for getting this kind of done-for-you product in other niches? I see that people have recommended CB pirate, but it sounds like that is not as developed as this one.

@ Jaclay20 - part of our traffic training guides people through
how to effectively use safelists. Of course, we would recommend
that you use other sources of traffic too - but this is a super
easy way that anyone can get started with driving traffic - and
we still use safelists ourselves - just because they are effective!

@ rockfarmer - yes, the traffic is up to you, but we do have a
lot of step by step methods for you to follow along with and
get traffic

Thanks for joining up! We were thinking of offering an upgrade
that allows your links to be put in a rotator, but we got busy
with other projects, 'cause it would just take too much time
for us to set up and make sure that it worked out fair and
profitable for everyone. I think a rotator is a great idea.

@ tsgeric - Yes, after your subscription payments are finished, you
will have 29 packages. We have done most of them as internet marketing
niches, so that you can more effectively have a super targeted list.

Sorry you couldn't PM, try again now if you like. We are not adding
any more products/squeezepage systems though - we are monetizing it
by having lots of followup emails, promotions etc for our members,
rather than new squeezepage systems.

Hi Cindy,
Do you guys actually take a look at the products and the salespage you are promoting?

It appears you guys are promoting scams to your list with the likes of Traffic Siphon, Zero Down Traffic, Auto Mass Traffic, etc. Or am I missing something here?

Would be bad if the Affiliate Silver Bullet are also promoting scams like those.

Hi Matt,

We do look at the products, a lot of they time they are hyped up with crazy over the top pitches, but... that is marketing. The actual products themselves do what it says on the box (once you get past all the hype), and... it sells, so that our members make money.

Also, every single product that we promote to the list, is sold on Clickbank, so - if you buy something and get in there, decide that it's not what you expected it to be, then you can request a refund.

Thanks for replying. Guess the problem is the only product descriptions people are going to see "on the box" are those contained in the sales letter. We know for these products, they are not what their sales letter claim to be. Worse some claims in their salesletter are not just over hype but outright lies.

Yep - I agree with you, and... to be honest, it's been annoying the hell out of me. The last few launches that we have backed have made everyone lots of cash, but have had our fingers hovering over the send button a tiny bit longer than it should.

Last week we sat down and put together a list of criteria that a product needs to meet before we will promote it - our mailing schedules fill up so quick that we are literally turning away an offer to promote every day... so, now we are going through the list, sorry if it pisses people off, but if it doesn't meet the criteria, we aren't going to promote it. With so many product launches, I am sure that we will find something decent to slot in

I think the problem has been that it just got slowly worse and worse, sneaking up on us, until last week we hit breaking point and put together our list.

We love sticking to Clickbank products, because it does give our customers a chance to refund if they think that the product isn't worth their investment - but... unfortunately that isn't really good when people are promoting products expecting to get 50-60% refund rates... going for volume instead of providing value.

One It would be an additional selling point for you guys to explicitly state that you strive to promote products where the marketing is in line with what is delivered - that is, protecting the reputation of the affiliates rather than serving as a pass through for the vendor. Would make your offering stronger in the long run.

Well, in most cases it's us putting our names on it - rather than the affiliates (our members), but I agree with you. It's a fine line between selling things that actually convert and make money - and delivering high quality products. Hopefully IM'ers are going to cut with the ****e and bring more good quality to the table that we can be proud to share with the rest of the world

Will see what happens over the next 3-6 months, I think it should be interesting!

Hi Cindy,
Glad to see you guys finally putting a stop to promoting these kind of products/salesletter. I guess particularly when we know the sales letter is planted with lies, sending our customers / subscribers to it would really be a disservice to them, if not an outright insult.

In this case whether refund is available is practically irrelevant as we have wasted their time (and to some, insult their intelligence). Worst, if they actually bought the product, go through it just to find out they'd been lied to. And yes, then having to go thru the refund process. How much of their time have we wasted?

I guess if we are looking to build long term business relationship with our customers especially those with recurring income type, we better make sure we provide great service.

Yes, you can start with ASB and then switch, but the leads you bring in before you switch, are going to stay in the ASB system.. You will only get to control the new leads.
