Info Product Killer

I got a ton of PMs asking me what I thought about this product at InfoProductKiller.com - Home (no aff link). so I thought I'd post it here instead so everyone could see it. I am not finished with it but so far, so good. I'll add to my review here.

I bought this because it's all about tangible affiliate revenue - something I've dabbled in successfully on Amazon and want to explode into something more. What hooked me was the promotional videos he created because he logs in and you see the account earnings right there - no phony screen shot to manipulate.

Since I emailed him jokingly saying I was cursing him because I paid full price and didn't want to wait for a WSO on it (he is a new WF member), he emailed me back asking if he could call. He's UK I'm US. So I agreed. It's not often a product owner lets you pick their brain. We just talked about what was already in the product, nothing secret.

I had read through the first PDF and now have gone through several videos. I'm not finished yet but what I do like is his technique. What I had been doing to earn Amazon revenue was just use lenses as many landing page and maybe 2-5 articles on EZA.

His technique was not difficult but I had not taken this approach before. It's much better than the way I was doing it and it makes perfect sense.

Another thing I liked is for the first time I feel comfortable with PPC. In the past, I lost my shirt (not a pretty site if you've seen my bathing suit pictures lol). But seriously, his PPC method for THIS particular strategy was very easy, QUICK (yea), and in just an hour I've had 16 click-throughs from what should be highly targeted buyers.

I won't know until tomorrow or so if they converted but I can't imagine them not and the product I picked was approx $85 on Amazon, which earns me $5.95 per sale. As you'll see - it's mass volume that counts per day plus shoppers (like me) who add on to their cart and buy hundreds, which you get commission on, too.

So this is an expensive product for the average marketer. Use the code he offers to get a discount if you buy. If it works as it's supposed to, it should take no time to make your full investment back. I know with ONE Squidoo lens last year I made $500/month on Amazon sales for 3-4 months in a row, so I know Amazon converts.

So far - thumbs up from me.
Will report back.

  • Hi Tiff

I saw this product on other site and very much interested in buying so I would appreciate your full review tomorrow.

    Thanks

    • Sure thing. Also forgot to add one thing. I stressed to the product owner that I was horribly dumb about one certain thing - so he immediately promised to create a tutorial and include it in the package. It's something probably everyone knows but me, lol, but I appreciated that this person was willing to meet my needs with a step-by-step.

  • Thanks a bunch, Tiffany!

Just in time for Christmas prep on Squidoo :-)
  • Lol Okay, no wonder my stuff was small. I thought I had followed his PPC instructions but I left out the most important part. Duh! Changed it today but still, I've sold two so far.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Hey Tiffany,

    Thanks for the info.
    Very compelling stuff.
    Just curious...
Have you looked into another source for your products?
    CJ, Shareasale, etc.
Amazon has everything under the sun but their commissions are low.
  • Very interesting reading your experience with this. I purchased this the same night you did (I too couldn't wait for the WSO), but didn't have time to watch the videos until today: actually, that's what I am doing now.

I am on video 3, so didn't get to the PPC one yet. With the article marketing challenge winding down, this will be my next challenge: applying his techniques.

I can't wait to see my results, as I never made any significant money with Amazon, but know how powerful it is.
  • lcombs, I tried last year every which way but up to make money with anything tangible sharesale, cj, etc. All I cashed in on was Amazon.

Adriana - aha! You Lens URL stealer. lol I recognize the name

Let's keep in touch with how well it does. I'm very excited for the holidays and my husband is even working with me on it.
  • Tiffany,

Not asking for you to share the details of this system, but is PPC a very large part of it? Is it doable without getting involved with PPC?

Thanks in advance for any feedback...my curiosity is up!
    • [1] reply
    • Yes, although he does have PPC tutorials (it's a different strategy from all-out PPC) you CAN do it without PPC In my opinion using his other traffic techniques.

    • How long does it take them (InfoProductKiller) to send the download link?

I must admit I was very surprised to find that access was not automated. After paying several hours ago I'm still waiting for the email that I was told (at time of payment) would be sent.

Yes, I know I'm in a different time zone, but the rest of us manage to automate our delivery systems and the use of primitive manual notices astonishes me. Ironically, amongst the best for automation are Amazon!

Here's hoping I get the link before Xmas!

      UPDATE:

The download link came through about 4 hours after the payment advice. However the delay wasn't the fault of the merchant. According to the time stamp on the email advice, it was sent promptly around the time of payment but was delayed somewhere en route.

I've also had a chance to look at the first video and am very impressed with the concept and what is being provided. Looks like a good chance to make a "killing", especially as there's still time to get sites in place for Xmas traffic. Those who are sitting on the fence about this, please keep sitting!

  • I'm wondering if this method could be used with wordpress as the platform instead of doing static sites?

    • [2] replies
    • Jackie, I'm actually doing it as a case study - using IPK - domains versus Squidoo lenses. I've had a lot of questions about the blog portion, so I asked him to see what he said about that and he said:

      "Wordpress is fine!"

      Woot!
    • I agree with Tiffany, wordpress is fine. I used it for my site and I'm already getting hits. Not indexed quite yet but it's only been 2 days.
      • [1] reply
  • That's great news Tiff,
    Thanks for your quick reply.
I am also wondering if it would be ok to get .info domains instead of .com or should I stick with .com?
    Jackie
    • [1] reply
    • Although .info domains are (or have been) cheaper, they are also known to be favored by many who build MFA (Made For Adsense) sites and when competing for a position on Google's display pages .com are universally accepted.

There have been conflicting reports about whether they get the same ranking as .com sites. I've had hundreds of .info domains and had good success with them. Whether they have the same credibility in the mind of a visitor needs to be considered. For domains I want to endure I always use .com names and no longer register .info domains.

I think that .com domains have more of a future and .info names are seen as "throwaway" domains.

    • I'm very tempted to buy, especially as you think Wordpress is good to use.

Do you reckon there's any danger of saturation if too many get to know these techniques?

      Cheers Mark

P.S. Can't wait to see the "pants bulging techniques" he raves about in his sales letter lol!!!!

    • Hi Tiffany,

Thanks for the review. This looks really interesting.

I see you stated .info domains as your choice. It just so
happens I am considering to use them instead of .com for
select sites in the future - but have no idea on the effect
that has on their ranking potential, if any.

Have you got any data on this? Just wondered

      Thanks again,

      Jordan
  • Hey Tif,

Would be interested to hear your test results on Squidoo lens vs. domains for this strategy. Seems they would be indexed and ranked better on Squidoo.

    Thanks for the valuable review!

    • I've been frantically researching niches, registering names and building websites so as to take advantage of the huge increase in demand for products in the lead up to Christmas.

I've found that, with a little research, it's possible to find a lot of niches with a stronger demand at Christmas than exist for stripper/exercise dancer poles.

For instance, just run some of these terms through a good keyword tool and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

      Nintendo
      PlayStation
      X-Box
      Sony
      Samsung
      Apple
      Laptop
      Notebook
      Television
      iPod
      Dolls
      Mattel
      Fisher & Price
      Pink
      Action Figures
      FurReal
      Games
      Games Console
      Water Games
      Wooden Games
      Educational Games

There will be a lot more kids receiving gifts at Christmas than there are hopeful dancers or fitness enthusiasts receiving poles!

  • I'm considering the product. How's it worked out for you the past month?

    thx!
    • [1] reply
    • I've only been using it for 2 weeks but my portfolio of sites is building up nicely and all new websites are being indexed within 1-2 days by Google, Yahoo and MSN.

It's important to get a core group of sites in place as quickly as possible so that you can get indexed. Without that you go nowhere.

To me, the potential lies in the post-Xmas 2008 period. If you only build 1 website a day (takes me 2-3 hours each), by NEXT Xmas you'll have 300+ sites in place - that's a lot of sales power. Of course, you don't need anything like that number to be able to benefit now. Just build as many as you can to benefit from Xmas 2008.

  • HI,

Another question. Is it about article writing or review writing? As english is not my first language. And is always difficult for me to write or rewrite articles

    Thanks!
    • [1] reply
    • It has nothing to do with writing articles or reviews.

You would need to understand some English to know how to place content on a page but not to the same extent required for writing articles and the like.

      Ivan

  • Hi

I agree you do not need to know how to write articles or anything as I am hopeless atb this myself.

I ahve put up three sites so far since signing up on Monday and aim to get 10 up by the 22nd (certainly end of month) just researching some ideas

I have so far used xsitepro to design the sites but that is just a choice you could easily use any other type of HTML editor

My first site which has been up about 5 days is now appearing on google for "fisher price elmo live shortage this christmas" which is not the best search term but a step in the right direction

Wayne who does the support is very good and it is fast and in detail

I have yet to watch the all year round profit videos but I am sure they are just as high quality and hoefully 2009 will look brighter than 2008 and I can get rid of some of my debt

    • It could also be worthwhile checking the Google results page for your keyword BEFORE building a site to see whether the listings on the first two pages are well-optimized - whether that keyword is appearing in the title, description, and domain listing - for that keyword.

If they are well optimized, it could take extra work trying to reach the first page because of the strength of the opposition. In which case there are many other products that are "low hanging fruit" and worthier of attention at this stage.

Even large companies can have poorly (or less well) optimized web pages. For instance, with one product, I'm listed at number three on the first page. Amazon is listed at number 4!

Obviously there is some expensis involved as you require a domain name and hosting

  • I dont see why not. As long as you follow the system I see no reason why it cant be sued with any affiliate program or several different ones

I am about to try woolworths for a dvd

What I ahve yet to work out is if .info domains make any difference over .com - any suggestions?

Ivan, have you found any US merchants to avoid? As you know, I,m in your 'boat' so I'm seeking alternatives to Amazon to beef up my network.
What other merchants have you signed up with?
    Best regards....Bill
    • [1] reply
    • Bill,

There are a great stack of good merchants available through agencies such as Commission Junction, ShareaSale, Revenue Loop, etc. You'll find many of the Affiliate Managers listed at this section of the Forum:

      http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...onaire-makers/

However, they mainly supply to the US market. Some will have Australian distributors. With a population of 300 million in the US compared to Australia's 21 m I don't pay much attention to the Australian market as even with downloadable products Aussies account for only 6% of visitors to my websites.

Another approach is to find a product first and then search the website of the corporation and find their affiliate details. That's more useful at other times of the year, when we have more time.

A reliable distribution service is essential, as if the customer has problems with delivery we don't get paid.

  • Hey Tiffany,

    This is kinda cool...

I'd completely forgotten about this thread.
About 2 weeks ago my wife found Info Product Killer in an email from Frank Heywood.
    We bought it.
    Very good product.
I thought the SEO stuff alone was worth it.
Also, interestingly enough, I fell on the .info domains as well. $1.99 each.

I guess Amazon's name recognition would account for the better conversion rates.

    • I'm sure that the quality of sales pages, credibility and upselling of Amazon are very important.

Although their commission rate is low (it increases with more sales) I find that, with my current sales conversion rate of about 12%, this largely offsets that.

Many merchants have a sales conversion of only 1-3% so Amazon are doing something right - along with a reliable delivery system and a huge number of products.

One other thing I've noticed - the large number of sales of products that I'm not promoting. Visitors that I send to the merchant from my websites will often buy an additional product or something totally different - and I still get paid.

      Ivan
  • that product is quite informational... esp. he helps you to get started quickly
for example, contents and web design templates.. that's very important.

  • im ready to buy IPK, and i've clicked your ppc ads. it looks like your promoting this heavily on adwords. i'm not seeing any bonuses to bribe me to click your hoplink?

i'll probably go with the IPKkiller review site. his bonuses look pretty crappy, but nonetheless he's giving something.

    • Uh, go for it. I'm not here to bribe people. I'm here to give a review. This was a classic post! Describes what's wrong with most Internet Marketing mindsets

Also, I run one small PPC campaign for the product NOW. Didn't use to. Most of my traffic comes from my blog review.

  • Eben, this concept would work in any market because it's all about good solid SEO construction. Both off page and particularly On Page SEO are explained very clearly. The returns per sale are not big so it's a matter of volume that makes the money.
I'm like you, with other projects on the go. So I'll be spending time during the year on this one.
However, I already feel that I have made a good investment because of the knowledge imparted by the creator of this program.
    Hope that helps.

    Bill

  • I'm targetting the US market with this product. I'm using his low cost PPC methods so got my first sale Day 1.

My Amazon conversion rate is around 15% .. Which is WAAAAY better than any info product I ever promoted.

I've got 10 sites up, have been doing it for 4 weeks and have made over $1,000 profit.

IPK would definately be my best purchase this year. Thanks for letting me know about it Tiffany.

  • So if I have keyword phrase domains-would I get immediate traffic?
Or would I still need to do something to get indexed?
    • [2] replies
    • Just because you get indexed does not mean you are going to get traffic. You can get indexed and be on page 5932 for your keyword where no one will find you. You have to do some SEO and link building to make it to the front page.

      jackie
    • IPK mentions a few things you need to do after setting up your sites to get traffic. What I did was use the 1waylinks.net system to post my new site links to blogs -- They got indexed immediately by Google and traffic has started to trickle in. Of course there are other things I will need to do to increase the traffic.

I am at odds with one way IPK mentions how to get indexed by Google -- submitting it directly to the Google Add URL submission page. I've always heard it's best to get found indirectly via some link on a site already indexed by Google. Anyway, that indirect method has always worked for me.

  • Vicone and Tiffany. Great info! I have bought this product and even though I haven't had the time yet to put in a good effort, it is one of the best info products out there that I have seen. He is a good guy and always willing to help. Someone else had tried this over Nov and Dec and earned somewhere around $5000 and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of potential, even for holidays other than Christmas, if you put on your thinking cap. Highly recommended.

  • Hi Everyone,

I am new to IM, and this IPK looks like one of the more interesting products I've seen so far. My question is, do you think I need to purchase the upsells? The offer is $47 for templates and graphics and some other stuff (sorry I dont recall at the moment) to enable me to make money online?
    • [1] reply
    • Unless he has changed his offer since last year, there is a template included with the product which you can use for your domains.

Also you don't need to use expensive graphics. Get a copy of Xheader from

      XHeader - download

which is free and provides 1,000 headers at no extra cost when you register.

Also, a lot of IPK followers have helped with graphics and advice at the forum on

      IPK Forum

It looks as though this system has come alive again in the lead up to Christmas.

  • No problem Dave - I did a free WSO on how to pair IPK with Squidoo too if it helps:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...r-squidoo.html

And it's not too late for Christmas. I'm still seeing lenses get indexed in like 2-3 days and making sales right away. But it's good for year round anyway
  • I just received the promo email. My question is the same as rrram2

Is it a re-hash or re-launch of the original product ?_?
