I want to get into a coaching program and was thinking of Matt Bacak IM gold. I have some problems about some coaching programs. It seems that alot of these programs are just all over the phone and you get a lot of information like ebooks and videos ect. You know that is all great but. I need someone that I can just personally call. Honestly this is one of the reasons I like mlm you can usually talk to someone personally. Does anyone on here here have this problem. I do think that we can all use a coach. I know I can.
I also think that we don't need to fork out 100's of dollars a month for it either. I have been struggling online for about 5 years now and thats ok because I have decided to succeed online. I am a newbie for making money online but I have been around for a very very long time and have closely watched the evolving IM industry. Yes I am still looking for coaching but mostly and accountability partner. I will share my "secrets" you can show me yours type of deal. I know there are thousands of us here that are in the same position that I am in and that have been in my position.
As a father of 4 little ones and working 10-12 hours a day. I know that you can understand my situation. I look forward to your comments and I hope to make some IM relationships.

It's funny he's even offering coaching, considering he "retired" not so long ago.

Personally, I would look elsewhere, but then again I havn't experienced the coaching so I can't comment.

I've just heard of a lot of horror stories from people who've paid for that sort of coaching... not neccessarily Matt Bacak though.

Actually Matt (Great Name), I retired my $5,500 seminar that I did every month for over 3 years straight although I promised all my students that attended those classes that as long as I'm around they would get weekly calls from me. Because of the lack of doing events, and not having new students coming in I recently decided to create a new thing called my "IMGold program" to fill those calls again cause I'm doing them anyway.

        Fair enough...

I don't know of any coaching program where you can "just call". I don't offer coaching (though I am one of Vin Montello's students) and when I schedule a call with him it's usually 2 weeks in advance because his schedule is so full.

Successful people are busy; they don't really have time to talk to you whenever you want.

I also think that we don't need to fork out 100's of dollars a month for it either.
Nope... for a good coach you have to fork out thousands. If they're making a decent amount of cash they're going to charge a decent amount of cash. It's simple economics.

Accountability partner? If you want to succeed just do what you have to do. IMHO accountability partners are a load of crap; an easy excuse for people who don't want to do the crappy things they need to do. Or is there something I'm missing here?

I will share my "secrets" you can show me yours type of deal. I know there are thousands of us here that are in the same position that I am in and that have been in my position.
The problem is that if you've been in this game 5 years and still aren't making any money you don't have any secrets. Essentially, you have nothing to offer someone else. Which means you've gotta pay money. And if you don't have money... you won't get coaching.

In 5 years working 12 hours a day you should be rich. There's obviously something you're doing seriously wrong here... or not actually WORKING the hours you say you do (cruising around on forums doesn't count as working).

IMHO there is more than enough free info on these forums to make some money. Once you make SOME, re-invest it into your business to help grow it faster.

Daniel Scott is dropping some good advice here. You know, many people underestimate the true value of the warrior forum. In my years online there's never been a place like this were people give your advice and share their ideas so freely about marketing online as they are here. Some is good advice and other not so good but everyone means well - what your really looking for might just be here sitting under your nose :-)

Aww... now I feel all warm and fuzzy

For the sake of clarity, I'm not saying Matt's program isn't good... or that you shouldn't ever pay for coaching.

I pay Vin Montello four figures every month to make me a better copywriter... despite having a lot of successes under my belt.

All I'm saying is that if you want to succeed in business, you've gotta treat it like one - and that means managing your cashflow and not spending a ton of money when you've got none coming in.

On another note, I have no experience with Matt or his coaching -but I think it speaks volumes about his character that he's more or less pushing you away from his coaching at this point in time because that's what's right for you... even if it costs him money.

revjoe, It's interesting Daniel says what he says in this quote:

Because, almost everyone I know invested large sums of money to better themselves. Whether it be one-on-one coaching, masterminds, seminars...

But, there is another way around paying. It's working your way in...

When I started, I found someone that I wanted to mentor me, I told them that I would clean their office just to have a hour of their time. Then, from there then I found out what their vision was - and later found ways to help make their vision come true. In return they gave me advise and mentored me for free.

But, now I don't do that kinda stuff anymore. I just pay for it.

For example, I pay alot of money to Bill Glazer and Ted Nicolas to be in there exclusive masterminds. I even moved into my neighborhood for only one reason to be around the people that live here. (I live in a country club and don't even golf....)

BOTTOM LINE: I think it all comes down to this.... if your looking to get solid advice
and mentoring/coaching: You can either work your way in or pay your way in.

Thanks Daniel and Matt. One thing I like about this forum is that you get what you get answers you need and I did not have to pay for it! I agree with both of you. We just have to think of ROI. Jay Abraham charges $5000 an hour but If you turn that advice into $500,000 that is quite and investment.

By the way Matt I love your story. Sorry it makes me lol but at the same time is pretty scary. I remember watching a video of this guys pay-pal account getting flooding with cash after a launch that could be a scary but exciting thing.

All I'm saying is that if you want to succeed in business, you've gotta treat it like one - and that means managing your cashflow and not spending a ton of money when you've got none coming in.
Really a great bit of advice thanks so much!
