I just read a review about someone having an ipad and they accidently dropped it and it shattered glass all over. It is not easy to hold onto apparently, so if you get one, you might want to have something on it to keep it from being so slippery.

No. its a bigger IPhone basically. A hell of alot of people have an IPhone. I can't see them making the move to the IPad.

I see it as "a nice to have but don't need to have" piece of kit.
If you got the spare cash and like your gadgets go for it. If you want a replacement for your pc? Personally I don't think it will cut it against the macbook.
Just my humble opinion.

It is an iPhone without the phone. If that sounds good to you, then buy it. If it sounds silly, like it does to me, don't buy it.

I love my iPhone because it enables me to take anything with me in my pocket, so the idea of getting a huge one doesn't excite me at all.

before you buy take a look at all of the laptop computers that you can buy for the same price.
Any laptop or netbook will have so many more features than an Ipad.

Its up to you....if you dont really NEED it dont buy it.

I think its stupid personally...why use it when you can use a laptop, can do so much more. Yeah I know its not exactly the same but people dont need it.

i have to agree. i mean i had the apple iPhone 2g and i was very satisfied with what it did. there were somethings about call quality and over time i dumped it for my next phone. but iPad? a big bulky thing that can do some things, isn't a phone, and you could do much easier and faster with a good laptop? i don't think so. i think it's one of those things that people will just have to have and think is a status symbol, personally. "look at me, i have a ipad". at least, that's my two cents. save your cash and if you want something that does more go get a good netbook.

I'd say no because according to them, Flash is an inferior technology and wont support it yet I find it useful everyday.

If size matters to you then it's worth it. If not then forget it.

I'd opt for an Iphone, unless you really do want one. If you've got the cash then go for it, otherwise just wait intill a better device comes out.
