Anybody Tried grudd.com 500000 visitors for $9.95?

I just visited this website grudd Home (not affiliate link) and they offer 500000 visitors to your website for $9.95, I was wondering if anybody here tried them before?

Another website that I would like to read some comments about is Web Site Promotion and Advertising Service (not affiliate link)

Thanks in advance

I haven't tried either of the services you mention, but I'd be wary of these type of services offering x number of visitors for a fee, especially if you're hoping to convert these visitors onto your list or into buyers.

I would say your money would be better spent investing in either Ezine Ads (check out Directory of Ezines for lots of ezine lists) or spending it on some more targeted advertising like buying banners or ad placements on forums or sites in your niche.

Is it safe to email those ezines like 200,000 for $50? Or is it a spam and your hosting will shut you down?

Honestly, for $9.95 you are way better off having a nice article written up and adding it to an article directy or even directly onto your site.
Aside from adding numbers to your traffic totals, that type of traffic is going to usually prove to be pretty worthless. Whether you are hoping that your traffic purchases something, clicks on ads, or signs up for your list...it most likely isnt going to happen.

If purchasing traffic seems too easy or too good to be true, that is usually because it is. Spend the time building up your organic SEO and attracting legit visitors and it will pay off substantially more in the long run.

I learned that lesson the hard way...

Interesting...I clicked on the Grudd link and went to their site.

They have a little info box that tells you 'who is online'.

It said 'no members' but there were two guests.

So two of us were on their site, myself and another guest.

I wonder if they know about their service?

Please...Don't do it...$9.95 can't be true, I have learned that you must
work to get good targeted leads on your list, that is if you want to make some money.

              Good Luck

I wouldn't recommend any service that promises x number of visitors. For all you know they could be robots, but regardless the traffic won't be targeted visitors. They are most likely from a traffic exchange. I don't see how else they could promise that.

If you're really looking for 50,000 visitors from a service like that, there are plenty of free services that do it. If you attend a 20 minute presentation by World Profit they will give you 50,000 free visitors. So i recommend trying that first. Don't buy their product though... Don't go paying for untargeted traffic when you can find it for free.

Let me tell you something about how most of these 'buy traffic' sites work - they use a HORDE of proxies to falsely simulate traffic to any website you give them.

Notice I say *most*. The ones who actually send real visitors are also as useless.

Don't forget, you get what you pay for and if sounds to good to be true, it likely is.

    Stay clear.

No need to sound so smart and wise, I was just asking a legitimate question about two websites I found. If you think they do not work just write it in plain easy to understand sentences.

      Thank you in advance

What I find interesting is that Google let's these scam companies run ads asking people to buy this service.

It's obviously too good to be true.

it just seemed to me like if it was a scam the page would not be still there, but who knows why it is still there.
It's there because it makes money - you were ready to buy it. The cost is low and even people who "know" it's "probably" useless will rationalize "it's only $10".

You were right to ask before buying. There is no better tool online than your own common sense that tells you something is too easy or too cheap or too good to be true.

If you could send 500,000 real visitors to a site for less than $9.95 would you be selling it as a service to other people for $9.95. No, and nor would they.

I have not tried this offer, but did subscribe to another. They delievered the visits to my website, but no real value. As I recall the visitors were redirected traffic. These visits had not association with my site and their arrival there was , I feel sure, a temporary inconvenience for them. In fairness to the one from whom I purchased this traffic, they delivered as promised. The fee was low as in your case. If you want bragging rights that you had X-number of hits on your site--then you will not be disappointed.

If, however, you are expecting a sale or two, you might be disappointed. But since I have not heard of your referenced company above, I can't be sure their offer is the same. But any time you are promised that much traffic for that little fee--qualilty probably is not there.

Whenever I go to a site that makes these type claims,
I always look at their own site stats.

Grudd currently has a PR 1 and Alexa Popularity of 456,553

It appears that they are not taking advantage of those
    500,000 visitors themselves.

    I wonder why? Hmmm...

The ONLY way cheap non targeted traffic can be of any value is if it boosts your ranking in such a way as to produce real targeted traffic indirectly.

What I mean is, if you are listed somewhere (a link to your site) and that particular link is ranked or listed in order by the current traffic it is getting then it can be of some value.

An example that use to work was squiddoo groups. Those groups used to be listed by their popularity, ie traffic stats. So if you bought some real cheap advertising, (junk traffic) they would show up in the top 10 groups at squiddoo thereby producing a measure of targeted traffic from actual squiddoo members searching that category, or even the top groups in general.

There are numerous other methods of utilizing such cheap traffic but that would take an ebook to explain...:p

If you're looking to convert the actual cheap "junk" traffic forget it. You'll get a zero conversion rate at best.....

      Cheers,
      Zac

This thread died over a year ago, but its memory lingers on. A few months ago I saw the offer of a gazillion visitors for $9.95. I bought because I figured no matter how many visitors they sent one click would cover my costs and two clicks would make a profit. Needless to say, that never happened. Things actually got worse.

The company started to charge me $25 a month. They gave no warning. I called my credit card company, which removed the charges. I looked up the company on the net and discovered they have an 'F' rating at BBB -- at a former address, implying they fly by night.

    Be warned.

Well those who "KNOW" SAY its all bots even when they claim they are real visitors. There are wholesalers of traffic out there so even though I don't know, there are thousands of marketers making a great living selling traffic at wholesale prices and there is a myriad of reasons why they can do this. There is software that captures traffic, there people who collect traffic on daily basis. Now whether or not these things are legit...I dont know but would like to know from those of you who do how all these traffic wholesalers do get their traffic legitimately for I know there are ways...
