The New "Updated" Linkracer....Your Thoughts Please

Hello,

I was wondering if any of you have signed up to the new and improved version of the linkracer. I know there were several hiccups in the beginning, so hopefully the new version is much better.

Just wanting to know your results or about how effective it's been. Thanks

I like the direction Rus Sellers product is taking. He soon will add a better submission feature and some other "secret thing" not sure what he meant there- He is running 500-1000 blogs.

I am not so sure about this new service. I asked a simple question and got blasted on his WSO. I have had 12 articles on there for a few days, they all got approved but the submission percent was stuck on 0%. Since I posted on the wso a few of them have gone to 0.1%. I don't know, I would really like this to work for me but I am a bit worried at the moment.

edit: Looks like we are getting some submissions now.

Are you finding these links through Google? Do all blogs have the same template, footer etc? Any idea how many indexed in Google so far?

I signed up to linkracer but i have no clue why the linkracer thread was removed.

On the backlinks forums I asked about .INFO domains and the consensus seems to be that it doesn't matter so much about the .INFO because a backlink is a backlink is a backlink.

In fact, they blew me out of the water by showing how IP diversity isn't as big a factor as you would expect. In other words several backlinks from the same IP address can still boost your SERP numbers. That was contrary to what I had thought.

To the Original Poster: Link Racer is 'working' in that my articles appear to be getting posted eventually. It just seems to take a looooooong time for them to post sometimes... AND (my biggest issue) I'd like to have a list of the URLs where my articles get posted (not to the domain, but to my actual article URL's).

I bit at the $4.95 trial price this past month. I submitted a few articles and used up all my 1000 credits just to test drive it. Here's what I think...

PRO: Article submission is simple, fast, easy. Spinning of articles is allowed - which is a must have to me - especially spinning of titles.

CON: I cannot track when or where my articles are submitted. Big bummer for me because I want to boost my backlinks. What good is a backlink that is not indexed by Google? This is probably going to be a deal breaker for me.

How do I truly know that my articles are actually live and posted on a blog somewhere - aside from the pingbacks to my money site? Since I use other article networks, unless I want to take the time to manually differentiate between the sites - which I won't do because it is too time consuming and no ROI for my efforts - I can never know where my articles are. You just have to "trust" that the articles are truly out there somewhere "live".

CON: (sort of) is the .INFO sites. I'm not opposed to .INFO domains for my backlinks as some people are. I don't care, as long as I get an anchor text backlink from a site with some decent PR. HOWEVER, I can't be certain that the .INFO sites are from LinkRacer's network because of the other article networks that I use (which I know also has many .INFO domains).

CON: (sort of) Since I can't be certain where my articles live, I can't be certain about whether there is IP diversity for these sites. What if they all live on the same IP address? I PREFER to have IP diversity for SEO reasons. However, I am told by some with anecdotal experience that IP diversity is over-rated, but having tons of backlinks is not over-rated.

PRO: Tech support has responded to me in a relatively quick period of time and has been helpful. No one has been rude or short on patience... (yet). Responsive tech support is vital for me.

SUMMARY: The site is fast and easy to use for article submissions. Article titles and bodies can be spun with multiple spin levels. Articles can NOT be verified if they are live or not, therefore you can't boost your backlinks, which makes the backlinks almost worthless. At the lowest price per month, it is tempting to continue with the membership... but since I can't boost my backlinks or verify that they exist... no deal until that is offered.

I am going to suggest it via tech support before I cancel my subscription. If they will bring that to the table, then I will stay.

    Do a google search for

"This site syndicates articles from other sources along with original works"

and I think we have the makings for a footprint on these blogs. All the blogs that I checked that published my articles had this in it.

This is not a footprint of my making. It is a footprint you made with your articles and this is meaningless to others, meaningless to Google, and meaningless to the network.

If you syndicate any article via RSS feed, to say 1000 sites, it will show the exact same article on 1000 sites. Is that a footprint... NO! It is an article that has been syndicated....

If you would stop speculating and understand what a footprint ACTUALLY IS---- You would be smarter and be followed more....

The articles on the site are never a footprint--- It is the HARDCODE of the site that gives a footprint.... what is in the robots.txt file for instance and example--- Now the published works...

Now you have the real answer!!!

Come on, that is in your about pages. Nothing to do with my articles.

Now it seems that less of your sites has that in the about page as they used to so maybe you are doing something right. Or maybe some of those sites went down, who knows.

If you would stop speculating and understand what a footprint ACTUALLY IS---- You would be smarter and be followed more....
Since you didn't realize I was talking about the about pages of your blogs and not my articles you wouldn't have said this.

All you need to do is delete those about pages and you will be all set.

update: the dude who runs LinkRacer emailed me and said he will be sending a (partial) list of the sites to his members so they can find and ping and "boost" their backlinks. I will hold off on canceling until I've seen the list and can, indeed, find my articles for boosting.

Marc_L: How did you find these sites and how do you know these are LinkRacer sites? Didn't he say he has removed all ads from his sites so there will be no footprint? If so, are these sites (from the google search you suggest) - are they his "old" network sites and not his "new" ones? Footprint sure would not be a good thing for this.

Thanks Marc_L. That's probably the strategy that I'll need to use so I can track how many articles of mine get posted so I can boost those backlinks. But... of greater concern is the footprint which means Google trouble... at least that's what I've been told. What type of trouble does it cause a private article network when the footprint is easily discoverable by Google? Does it lead to de-indexing of all the sites in the private network (which means the backlinks don't count)?

If the sites get deindexed that is precisely what it means.

I saw noticed that today also. I haven't posted a new article on it recently, but next time I will use your concept of inserting "signature" text so I can setup a Google Alert when that text appears, so I can boost the backlink (and look for an obvious signature problem). Thanks Marc.

Since everyone wants a list of sites that I own, if you are a member, you will be getting a list. I know and can hear it now... Why not give a list to everyone. Because it is not for everyone. It is for paying customers. That really is meaningless since people are going to pass it around anyway----

The fact that some state how many sites I have is a joke! One says I might have 300 sites and he in another post says he got 319 links from scrapebox. This is just totally out of line since he did not wait more then a week to find articles on a few sites and they have not even been published to all sites. Really not a fair assessment----

Let me tell you this. Most of my sites are .info extensions... I give you relevant url titles in most cases.... What matters most is the fact you are getting back links! What matters most on these back links is, you are getting them on INDEXED sites. Another thing that matters most is that I am working to build the network back links. What matters is that I really care to help people.

Now I love when people say that I have bad customer service skills. I just tell it like it is and do not kiss butt.... You think the $17 dollars means I need to what? Do the dishes after dinner at you house nightly???? Come on here....
Are you that full of yourself to think everyone you spend a nickel with needs to kiss your butt on command??? That is not going to happen in the real world. It also does not mean that your should be forgotten about or not given support. I am not saying you should be forgotten. I am saying you should be realistic and understanding. You should not expect anyone to drop everything and answer you in minutes. I do try to get back to you within about 12 hours but, sometimes it takes a day....

Now, as for the software. Please understand that it takes a lot of time to test and figure out how to cure some of the bugs. Then there is issues with the percentage counter that for some reason will not work with the cron job once the system gets a ton of articles in it going out. It is not like the articles are not going out. The counter is just not working with it---- So instead of trying to get it to the correct number on each and every article, a change was made to show publishing.... That is a courtesy and gives information that you should have....

Why did I close the WSO?? Simple. I do not want to leave a place for wise mouth people to post when I was paying for it. It is my money that kept the thread going and I asked to close it since I no longer wanted to pay for it to be a breading ground of BS---- It is that simple....

I am telling you that THE LINK RACER is a high quality network. I am telling you that THE LINK RACER is a place for back links that you can count upon. I am telling you that using my directory will give you back links that will help your site--- PERIOD!

I actually don't want a list of all the sites in the Link Racer private network... what I want is a list of the URL's where my articles are getting posted, so that I can go back to my backlink 'boosting' software and backlink to my backlinks (I use web 2.0 / social media sites for this). The goal of this is to get all of my backlinks indexed in Google, to help push my main sites up a little higher in the SERPs.

I think this can be programmed, but I'm not a coder so I can't say how to do it. I know it can be done because another private article network to which I belong does this. It makes it a snap for me to grab the URL's where my articles are posted and then backlink to those backlinks. Literally, click 'export to CSV', then open in Excel, copy the URL's to notepad and paste from notepad into my backlink boosting applications. That is what I want to do with Link Racer too.
