"Darkside of DotComSecrets" Any Info?

by SlyMaven 38 replies
Tomorrow Russell Brunson launches his new product "Darkside of DotComSecrets". Has anyone here been able to preview the product? I'm also trying to find out how much it cost.

Appreciate any info.

Thanks everyone,
R. C.

    Hmm...BH?

Are you guys going to buy it because it's BH, a product from Russell Brunson, or another latest and greatest?

I got the email and the moment I read BH, I deleted the email.

When you guys got some real good results without having your accounts disabled, I'd like to know and maybe try it.

I don't understand why some product launchers still go around juicing up product content with so much cheese!

I honestly think that if there something radically "special" about any component of a product anyone is marketing, it might do them and their products great justice if they would associate words like.. well.. "Special" or "Private Access Only Due to High Demand".. or something similar.. but not "secret room" or "devils den" that i've seen elsewhere.

        All quite entertaining though

I totally agree with JordanFrancis...secret freekin room? Please man...are we adults here?
I hate these tactics with a passion.
Further, if these are truly "black hat" tricks, do we as honest business people want to engage in them?

Don't we have enough Bernie Madoff's and Scott Rothstein's in this world?

I believe that Brunson went to far with this line of "advertising" of his wares. Even if the content of what he is selling doesn't cross any legal lines, the mere suggestion is enough to make me turn and run.

I would pose this question to anyone who wants to sell "blackhat" tactics. How would you like to be on the receiving end of a blackhat trick?

Would you like it if someone violated even a moral code in order to take advantage of you or your property? Would you like it if someone violated the law in order to take advantage of you or your property?

    I didn't think so...

    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[2234481].message }}
  • I think it's a big shame about the promotion techniques because I think
Russell's stuff is of a pretty good standard.

I actually couldn't work out if the story was meant to be a tongue in cheek
poke at all the BS in the industry or whether Russell actually expected us
    to believe all that crappola.

I'm still not sure which, I'm hoping it was the former because the latter
was really an insult to everybodies intelligence.

I got the product. There are the typical upsells available (as well as down sells).

There is a lot of information - however there are a few major issues that is largely concerning.

Firstly, I shelled out the extra money up front to be able to have full access to all the information immediately (as opposed to waiting each week for new content). We, lo and behold, half the content is not available!

Secondly, the whole product is just a huge pitch-fest explaining secret tactics that you can use, but only be ultimately effective if you're using particular software programs that you have to shell out more money for. Seriously?

I'm okay with spending money for quality and efficiency. But I don't quite understand putting up $197 to get a bunch of videos that say, "Hey, if you buy this product at $67/mo, then you can do this...."

It's not just one product. It's like 6 or 7!

Better believe Russell's got his affiliate ID smackered all over the links as well. Again, I'm not against Russell making money, but this is a glorified affiliate flea market.

Overall, very disappointing. I will be returning in before the 60 days Guarantee is over. I should have known it wasn't up to snuff with that childish "secret room" comment.

I think some are taking this way too seriously. I thought the video about the secret was interesting and the story entertaining...

Whether the video and idea is cheesy or not is somewhat irrelevant, really. We still watched the video and know about the product. It's top of mind.

I think it's hilarious that some people are actually getting angry and frustrated by this. lol...

So, nobodies allowed to comment on marketing techniques on an IM
        based forum Brad?

If we think something's cheesy, we can say so, if we think it's a bit
daft we can say so, whether it's relevent or not is another question,
doesn't mean folks can't or shouldnt' comment on how it worked
        or didn't on them.

It's fair enough you don't understand why people comment on launches
although on an IM forum I'm quite surprised, that you're surprised, but
its' really rather moot , no ? Whether you like what people focus on isn't
hugely relevent, if people want to chat about xyz, it's not really of
        anybody elses concern.

The way something is launched is becoming a big issue and it can effect
how people perceive the product Brad, I thought it was a bit cheesy but
like RB's stuff so can overlook it, but doesn't mean it's not worth commenting on.

What folks do with the 12 seconds it takes to make their post is really
their own business Brad, not yours to have a pop at.

Maybe? I'm not really an expert on the BH stuff, but in my opinion "some" of it has its place. I guess my view is there are 2 options:

              1. wonder if it'll fade out when everyone starts using it, and do nothing (which gets you 0 results)
              2. try it and find out for yourself (which could yield some results)

              Brad

well, I found out about the product through your email list. And I stopped investigating the product after the secret room bit because I found it to be completely amateurish and silly - and I had better stuff to do with my time.

In fact, I was rather disappointed because you hyped the product quite a bit in your email. I pretty much ignore most emails about IM products, and after this I will continue to do so.

but, that is just my opinion. I'm sure loads of people will be extremely intrigued.

I agree the whole "secret room" thing was cheesy but the content in the free videos I found to be excellent.

The videos do suggest you use other tools (such as SENuke) but to be honest those tools are pretty popular anyway and are superior products in thier category and I think he would of been silly not to include them, if you wanna go all out in the BH style of things these tools are a MUST and not using them leaves you way behind others who do.

If the guy in the videos is using them in his daily work, doesn't it make sense to tell us about them in his videos, if he didn't many of us would have realised he was using other software and called him out for not disclosing it in the videos, he can't do right for doing wrong.

If the content was created just for the purpose of pushing his affiliate links (like so many products are) then I would agree its just plain nasty, but the content is great and hard core at that, the software suggested enhances the methods and simply deserves to be in there with affiliate links and all.

Also don't you think he would be insane not to include his affiliate link to the mentioned software??

Overall I think just the free videos alone showed some pretty powerful stuff and I super excited to see whats on the inside.

    Thanks

Agreed, I thought the free videos were solid, I can see from the image
map that the back linking module will be sound, I can see he is building
mini net random linked sniper properties which he then hard links to in order to
    protect the money site etc.

It all looks very sound to me , I bought Microcontinuity and thought it
was excellent, I like Russels stuff.

I'm really tempted on the $199 all modules up front, I'm just interested
in know what the shipping is for as I presumed this was an online
delivery gig, I don't actually want physical product on DVD's I can
far easier manage viewing it online in a members area.

Anybody confirm whether then $199 is a physical product or online?

Also worth noting for $199, it appears you get like a weekly quick
    update video or something ?

    Hey Simon,

I haven't purchased this YET (need some spare time to go through it) but the course itself is online, the part that is delivered is an interview and transcript with his employee (Mr X) who carrys out all the BH stuff and also the 3 prelaunch videos, the main course itself is online.

    Thanks
    Andy

PS- as I said I haven't purchased yet but thats the feedback Im getting elsewhere and if you read page 2 of the sales letter that pretty much backs up what I have just said.

PPS - still gets my thumbs up and is still on my "to buy list"

I've just bought 'darkside of dotcom secrets' but did anyone else get contacted by one of Russells sale team for his 12 month private coaching?

The guy I spoke to (Robert) sounded like he knew what he was talking about (although a tad bit pushy) so I've just paid another $5,000 As Russell churns out some pretty good stuff. It will be great to connect with any others who are in the private coaching too.

Another point here to consider, Russell himself has admitted that he makes most of his money with his call center in after sales follow up, apart from the JV traffic, so how does this super secret stuff fit into his equation of profits?

Remember the last thing you bought, it was from someone you trusted right? Right, and that someone probably sent you an email right? Hmmm yep.

So now how is Russell Brunson to be trusted by anyone anymore if he has used these deceptive tacitcs?

In my experience, you are either an honest person or not, and this grey is looking fairly black to me.

This Bluefart business sounds like a backfire to me, and this is just what any trust Russell has built up with me - a big blue flame.

I think that as long as it's not illegal, there's nothing wrong with using "dark" techniques to gain advantages. In the IM business it's eat or be eaten and when the competition is using it, why should you be left behind?
    Compare it to sports:
    Black hat= illegal drugs?
Grey hat=legal substances such as creatine, glutamine & natural testosterone boosters
    White hat= "all natural"?

There are alot of tactics that I would never use that they teach... but I'm absolutely amazed at the ethical applications I've been able to come up with based on the knowledge I've grabbed from this course.

I barely knew who Russell was before this course.... I have been really impressed.... I'll post more as I get deeper into the content...
