I have $1000 to spend to learn internet marketing

Hi everybody

I am new to IM and I am little bit sceptical, but I want to have a go. I know it is not easy and it is not cheap. I can work hard and learn and maybe a year from now I will start make $$$.

I would like to spend $1000 on programs/systems which will teach me how to make money online. Question is, which is the best? There are millions of websites which promise success and probably 95% is just rubbish. I have heard about these:

Wealthy Affiliates
Maverick money makers
Affiliate power group
£700 a day Automated income system
Affiloblueprint 2.0Making you richer
Profitlance
Simonstepsyscoaching
Commission Blueprint 2.0
Robert Allen’s Instant Wealth Building System

Please can someone recommend the best program, system which really works?

Thank you

Patrick

Put the $1,000 in your bank account to feed the family / pay bills and spend time surfing the Warrior Forum for the thousands of profitable strategies / techniques for making money WITHOUT spending $1,000 on some product.

The money is in the EXECUTION of ideas...not in the product...you're basically paying $1,000+ to see someone's strategy or idea that they IMPLEMENTED to make money.

    Hope that helps,

Actually you don't need to spend your $1000 in learning Internet Marketing. A good way to set yourself above the rest is a proper research, planning and having a good strategy.
So what's the best way to learn internet marketing? You need to attend to Seminars that are related to Internent Marketing, because there, they will teach you all the things that are related to Internet Marketing.

    Wise words Dexx!

And if your new to IM and your thinking of marketing via PPC, beware, you can spend $1k on a few AdWords, Yahoo campaigns and never see it again.

Be careful of which products you choose, how you promote them and how much you spend! Done incorrectly, it will be gone ....

partick, I can soooo relate to your where your at....seems not too long ago I was in the same place. I had a thirst for learning IM, a limited kitty of money to spend, and a total feeling of overwhelm and distrust for virtually all the course offers I was wading through. And even when I got my hands on some clear steps from a seemingly honest marketer, I felt overwhelmed by all the different approaches and details.

I agree with others here, that your best bet is to search all the threads here on Warrior for different types of online businesses...Affiliate Marketing, CPA, Blogging and Autoblogging, eBay & Amazon partnerships, etc. etc....and determine, first, which business model you are most attracted to. Then search again for all the threads that just pertain to that model. You can only do one model at a time in the beginning, so there's no value in learning "Internet Marketing" in general...start with one approach and you can always branch out after you've had some success with the first model.

Rummaging through Warrior in this way will take you a few days, definitely more time than just buying someone's neat all-in-one-place course. But it's free and you can invest that $1000 in things you're gonna need to do ANY of the models...domains, hosting, certain tools, etc.

You can also ask people here for some private coaching, some are willing to give you some core information via email or even Private Message

It doesn't money to make money...

It takes IDEAS to make money!

Spend your time reading free stuff first. Use the $1,000 to help pay for your next rent/mortgage or feed your kids.

I'm willing to bet if you were to spend $1,000 on any of those courses -- you're going to be tempted to buy more "latest and greatest" products. Just enter your email into one of their email list and watch what happens...the mass persuasion hype will start...to get to buy more stuff...

Read free info here first -- and like everyone else said, use the $1k to feed your family and pay the rent/mortgage/bills.

Once you make money from free marketing, reinvest into paid marketing expenses...

I'm going to go against the grain here just in the off chance that you may actually want to spend a bit of the $1000 that you specifically set aside to spend on learning IM

Of the courses you listed, the ones that I've heard the most legit success stories from are:

    Wealthy Affiliate
    Affiloblueprint 2.0
    Commission Blueprint

If I recall correctly, Commission Blueprint is mostly PPC, and lessons learned in PPC tend to be on the pricey side. The other 2, I've been told, are great for newbies looking to start from the beginning and make it full time. I know a number of people on this forum got their start with Wealthy Affiliate, and Mark Ling is generally held in fairly high regard.

If you want something free to try your hand at, Ed Dale's 30 Day Challenge is awesome and it's starting pretty soon, so the forums over there should be active with a bunch of people trying their hand at IM. The bonus with that is you'll get hooked up with a few awesome resources and free trials of some pretty killer software.

Finally, once you've read enough to understand the role of backlinks, go to Link Building - Link building Services and start from the oldest post, and read literally everything, then decide on one or two of the linking services he recommends. It'll make getting your sites ranked a lot easier.

Don't spend it on any of that mess. Save it for business expenses, and read the WF to learn what you need to learn.

If you must spend money to learn IM, get a coach. There are many fine ones many right here at WF.

You have a wealth of information available to you for free right here on the Warrior Forum. I would seriously save the $1,000, and spend it on actual advertising, hiring outsourcers, and other business expenses that may arise.

One recommendation I can confidently make (because it is a great bargain) is to join Chris Farrell's membership website. I have been a member for a little while now, and his site is second to NONE. The best part is the price: It's only $37/month.

I used to be a member of Wealthy Affiliate, and while there is some valuable information there, it does not even come close to Chris Farrell's site, in my opinion.

Hope this helps you make an informed decision.

My advice is find someone who can mentor you and learn everything you can from them.

I see you are not afraid to ask questions, which is good.

You can get a wealth of knowledge from some very successful warriors here in this forum...for FREE!

Which leads me to another tip...start networking and forming relationships.

Be careful of all the hype and instant riches that are promised or that $1000 will disappear before you make a dime.

    I am speaking from experience!

Decide on ONE business model and focus ONLY on it. Take the money and use it for only the necessary things like hosting, domains, graphics, articles, etc.

This business is like anything else...it is a skill. It does take time to learn those skills, but it is worth it if you take action with what you learn and not give up!

Any one of the programs mentioned can offer the education, techniques and tactics but it can't do it for you. YOU have to make it work.

I don't mean to sound harsh, I promise. Just some things I have learned.

    To Your Success,
    Billy

Altough there is a lot of good information on the Warrior Forum, it can be totally overwhelming for a beginner to try lo learn by himself from the thousands of different threads on hundreds of topics and business models.

For someone completely new to IM, I recommend Chrisfarrellmembership.com, this is the only site I've found that explain everything from the beginning, I wish this site existed when I first started in IM.

Go for it, and never do what most of us do: joining gurus list, buying his expensive products, skimming forums and wasting our money and time in things that don't let us focus on building our business.

    The most profitable models are:

1- Choose a niche, test it and if the niche converts build a list and recommend them great affiliate products.
    2- Sell your own product.

My recommendation: Start at 1, Chris Farrell expains it well, join his site and devore the videos, follow the first 33 days tutorial. Then spend your $1000 in outsourcing your content writing and graphics for your site.

Focus and action is the key to success, DON'T spend your money in courses, spend it in building your business (Domain, Hosting, content, graphics...)

When you are successful at #1, go for #2

    Hi Patrick

I too am a newbie. I have been active online for about 3-4 months. I am learning fairly rapidly by have a mentor, Alex Jeffreys. This is proving to be a real godsend. Since being coached I have created my first product for list building and have learned about outsourcing and so much more.

Do not spend the money on products but try to find a coaching program to join. Involve yourself in this community and other forums and get your self a presence on the internet.

I made the stupid mistake of buying things that promisd overnight riches......they are rubbish.....there are no get rich quick schemes. You have to work hard at it to work, but with the right guidance and determination you will get there.

If you go to my blog (link in sig) you can see my journey so far. Also if you follow the other 2 links in sig these are 2 free products to help you on your way my friend.

    Good luck

Let me recommend with my 2 cents - oh, I meant, 2 best ways to get started. I sugggest you do step (1) and then step (2), and not any other way around.

      (1) War Room Membership - $37 - one of the best $37 I have ever spent. I mean the War Room that you see on the Warrior Forum. It is a golden asset.

      (2) Start a service that you can work on for 4-5 hours a day and will give you $100 per day (target $20-$25 per hour). Keep $50 a day for home and invest back $50 in the right channels that will open up in front of you as you explore the War Room.

And, after the next 30 days, come back to my post and press the Thanks button

I am with the others who have mentioned Chris Farrell Membership. It is one of the best programs out there in my opinion. The methods he teaches you is very good. You can even download his video course of a web business explained for free.

Watch that and I think you will agree that what he teaches is very good and his explanation of things makes the most difficult tasks sound easy.

Well worth it for anyone. It is only $37/month and there is a lot coming to the site in the next couple of months.

You will also find a great forum there as well so you get the help you need.

But yeah, that would be my first choice as far as good programs.

That's really good advice, the War room membership is a high value education at a super low price.

The most important thing is to not get overloaded, if you want to create keyword rich blogs focus on that and take action, If you want to do bum marketing do that and take action.

There is no end to research, only by taking action will you see any results, even if it's crappy results you will be able to learn and move on.

I have a long history from Wealthy Affiliate..

They recently increased the price to about $97 per month which I thought was ridiculous considering the 'very basic' knowledge and tutorial that you could literally get just by surfing Warrior Forum here. In fact I think Warrior Forum is much more advanced in terms of knowledge than WA.

The only good thing about WA is the Share Zone (Research section) where some big names from WA have contributed their knowledge there. The tutorials there are too basic in my opinion.

It is good if it was $39 at the least.. but not when it is $97.

One such place to learn if I should name one is 'Super Fast Results' by James Schramko.

That one totally rocks the world. Their webinar series are very good.. learnt a lot of ninja stuff with their coaching. And recently they have 2 internet marketing coaches within SFR membership. They are basically members as well that James have allowed to advertise their coaching programs after a series of screening if I'm not mistaken.

You might be able to benefit A LOT from them.

    Or...

Find a coach within this forum.

I have stumbled across some people who do private personal coaching within this forum and some of them.. are good. But you have to search for them.

If it is me.. I'd go the SFR route.

There are only 4 things you need to get started online, and it took me 4 years and more cash than I'd like to admit to figure it out:

      Chris Farrell Membership (CFM)
      Domain Name
      Hosting - free with CFM
      Autoresponder

You already have the rest (computer/internet connection/brain).

The above will cost you under $75/mo and the membership gives you all the basic training you can handle. And Chris isn't always trying to upsell his customers. I've learned a lot about building value first and being patient about the outcome.

The main reason I'm still on a lot of marketing lists is to see how people do business. Most of what I receive is too advanced or not relevant to my niche.

Good advice already in this thread.

I started around 5 or 6 months ago, its only now that I have a clear map of what I need to do, what tools I need to get the job done and what I need to have outsourced.

I promote Amazon products and I decided very early that this was the path that I would follow untill I made it work, even so I still bought 1 or 2 WSO,s from this forum that didnt relate to amazon but they didnt cost much and the ideas in them were good anyway.

Luckily for me I didnt have much spare money when I first started so I couldnt jump around from one idea to another and spend money on tools/memberships or courses, instead I was able to spend months wading through this great forum and working out exactly what I needed to do and where my money needed to be invested.

My advice would be to not be in too much of a rush to spend that 1k just yet and spend some time here to find what aspect of IM floats your boat.

    Hi there

Thank you everybody for your comments and suggestions. I know IM is not easy and it takes time. I have a lot to learn. I am willing to pay for something which helps. There are sharks out there try to get my hard earn cash. I have to start somewhere. I work 10 hours a day 5 days a week and I get $300. I had enough, so I am going to try making money online. I will work hard and learn, I will not give up that easily and maybe one day I will quit my day job. I know not everybody get there, maybe I will never be able to earn that much so I could quit my day job. I will have a GO anyway.

    Thank you

    Regards

    Hi,

Based on what I have learned, find a system/mentor group that will show you their stuff on a trial basis and take it from there. Keep your money!

In my case... My earlier failures in Internet Marketing was not necessarily the program/opportunity. The problem was me... Let me tie this up...

You can have the best opportunity, or the worst, but if you do not have the right mindset, marketing tools, traffic/leads, then you are going to have a rough road ahead of you.

    Good Luck!

If I may ask, what would be an example of system/mentor group that you were referring to and the right marketing tools, traffic/leads that make the road smoother.

      Thanks, Randy

There are handful of IM pro's here that are worth their money for products, most others, well lets just say do not waste your money! Most of the information you can find online for free, I know I get most of my products for free by "searching" around!

Well I will throw in my .02.

Pay for access to the War Room. It is real cheap and really no better value on the internet. There is a ton of good info for free in there, software, videos and PDF's. Chances are you could spend several hours in there and come up with some decent road map on where you want to go.

Take Ed Dales 30 day challenge. You may need to google it. It is free and if you can't turn a few bucks doing the challenge IM is likely not for you.

I would hold on to the rest of your money you may want to spend it on PPC or outsourcing. I would not let it go until you have a clear road map. I would suggest doing some mind mapping software(some free) to get a direction there is a few threads in this forum that cover this. I have not done much in PPC for a few years but have been spending a bit more on outsourcing.

If you decide to go with affiliate networks I would suggest Amazon. Commissions are not the greatest but conversions are good due to brand identity and price.

As far as tools and research go well I would suggest one but If you join the War Room you will find some good ones ... without having to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to do it.

Good luck ... 30 day challenge would be you best bet along with the War Room.

Some good advice here. Still might leave him confused bout what to do though.
But for what its worth I'll give my 2 cents.
I certainly wouldn't spend the grand on IM products.
It would be gone in a flash.
I would suggest using the funds to create a product and build a list. Then you end up with two assets.
Good luck though. Sounds like you got what it takes

Learn how to make money online??? You must realized that the IM arena is very huge with endless methods, strategies and new ideas. I think you will be wasting lots of time & money to learn them all.

What I have to suggest you is that start doing IM in very small scale first to test it out. Then, choose the area / business model you might want to focus on.

    Hi Patrick,
Great thread you started, and smart move.
It will help you prevent the 2 most common mistakes of newbies:
They either buy everything in sight (the copywriting is soooo convincing) or
they read and read and read, but don't take any action (me--until now!).

My recommendation to myself (maybe it will help you):
-*-Join the WarriorForum War Room ($37)
-*-Join Chris Farrell's site for the technical knowledge ($4.95, then $37/month)
-*-Buy a domain name ($6.85. Free hosting on Chris F. site.)
-*-Build a decent quality content site without monetization to get approved by eBay's ePN program (rewatch the free WPMage (WordPress Mage) videos which manually show how to grab photos, articles, and videos)
-*-Get approval at affiliate sites that require a content website (forgot which. Commission Junction?)
-*-Monetize site with eBay, Amazon, etc.
-*-While waiting for ePN approval, begin 2nd project. Try the "usual" method of keyword research, buying a domain with the keyword phrase, setting up a squeeze page with an opt-in list and free gift, pre-selling, doing SEO for the keyword, promoting one affiliate product, offering bonuses for buying from me, creating backlinks, adding video and other content, building and nursing my list, etc.

I recommend you go through the free 26 module video course on Farrell's site before subscribing. To find it, go to his site. Under "Complete Video Index" select "Web Business Explained." After watching the intro video, scroll (and scroll) all the way to the bottom of the page for the course videos.

Good luck to us and other newbies, too!

My recommendation for a newbie is that if you are into internet marketing to earn money, you need a number of things.

      1. A belief that you can do it (A teacher that teaches you and you can ask for guidance)
      2. A map, etc, a blueprint, similar to building a house. You do use a blueprint to build a house properly, don't you. Similar to how businesses have a blueprint of what to do to get customers and etc.
      3. Tools to build the house. You need tools to automate and multiply your efforts. Like article submissions services and etc.

A lot of those memberships that you have listed, like wealthy affiliates and the memberships, if you notice, they don't provide for the tools.

The tools that they provide, aren't really geared towards SEO and PPC. Heard of the tools, linkvana and SEO linkvine? Those are the real tools that get your site the customers, not some spinner or site builder, those merely get the text onto the website. And I can guess by large you can do it with wordpress, or even dreamweaver.

My personal recommendation is to go with Commission Blueprint, or to check out their forum and join their monthly membership. They provide all three, and most valuable is that all the tools for REAL seo are provided, from keyword to SEO link building, everything you need to get the maximum results with minimum effort.

And yes, it is provided by cheaply at just one single one time cost (Commission Blueprint 2), and their SEO is similar to UAW and linkvana (if you opt for the monthly).

I would go for the monthly, everything is provided (training, support and forums to ask questions) including the tools at just under a small cost of $37 per month (signing under your own affiliate link). Any service you find out there for building links just provide for one tool for over $60 a month and seriously ain't low cost.

And btw, hold your $1000. I made my first few hundred with zero cost using Blogspot and ezinearticles. And I can really tell you that I learned far more than reading from any book.

And me joining Commission Blueprint's monthly program just simply made everything easier.

Just pick up a good forum post or free WSO around here to make money. Then just do it and get a couple of hundred. And don't bother with blackhat methods. Not because they don't work, but because it's actually more tedious and you get caught more often in legal issues as compared to promoting products as a real affiliate.

      Find a Mentor.

Don't spend your time surfing and reading forums to initially learn I.M.

Everybody has a way to do it... and in forums you'll be exposed to more ways than you can count - ways that work - and even more ways that don't.

Problem is, you do not know which is which initially.

      It is never ending.

You can also learn how to do heart and brain surgery on some forums as well... not sure how that would work out either.

From the people I know of in the War Room... that could be a different situation. More than likely you could find a Mentor in there.

Please do not spend your cool grand on some hyped up crap internet marketing system find some cool blogger's out there like johnchowdotcom probloggerdotnet. I would not come right out and say how much I had to spend either cause I guarantee you will get some one that will be all gassed up to get your grand from you and then leave you high and dry. If I had my guess I would almost venture to guess that you are an eager beaver who is looking for a quick solution to a bill paying problem. Get J.O.B Cause Internet Marketing is not a quick solution at all and there are a lot of scammers out here in internet marketing land and a lot here on this forum. A lot of stuff is rehashed from article databases created by individuals with bad grammar from other countries. Just some food for thought.

    Hi,

My take is only spend $100 per month...This will motivate and you will not feel cheated....

Spend some time reading the free stuff just to get the knowledge.

Having a mentor is #1 key to becoming successful. However, you must be able to get to him/her via direct contact and not via the helpdesk.

Alternatively, you might get into membership site. You should not be paying anything more than $50 per month for this membership.

Yes... I have to agree with most of the others here...do not spend $1000 on some hyped up Guru system or even $75 pm on a membership scheme (especially if you are a noob, not making any money to offset the cost)...

However, to cut corners and save yourself time/ money....It is possible to invest in one of the cheaper easy reading established products out there under - $47 or under (maybe Comission Blueprint or Gsniper - both similar) to give you some basic direction. The rest you can learn from this forum, once you have a basic grounding/methodology....

    That's my 2 cents worth...

To get started, hit your local library hard! There are a plethora of books pushing the same information as most of the training programs, but the books are free. Read as much information you can about the Internet and marketing industries. If you then feel it necessary to drop serious cash to sharpen your skills, go ahead.

    Hi pate,

you should definitively considering of joining Wealthy affiliate this is the only internet marketing universitiy where you gonna find all the ressources you need to learn step-by-step how to make money online by selling your own product or order pepole's product. Indeed with WA you wont hear about some get riche quick schemes to be billionaire in 30 days. you gonna have access alot of ressources, softwares, your own easy-to-make-professionnel-website, and a one-on-one support.

But I must warn you that WA wont provide any secret formula to be rich but they will give you all the staff you need to maximise your chance to become a supper affiliate.
If you join wa you will never gonna have to googling for hours and getting scammed 99,9% by ****ing *******s who are looking fresh newbies blood

another advice is to start a google campaign with a daily budget of 5$/ a day. even if you dont know a thing about how to manage a ppc campaign with adwords, its could be an opportunity for you to be familiar with adwords. dont forget to check their online university: they provide free video tutoriels to explain you the adwords basics

    Hi Pandre;
After posting the fact that you have $1K in hand to spend, I'm sure you will be swamped with everyone's product offers, but I would suggest doing some serious reading and exercise some due diligence prior to parting with your hard earned money. There are many great books out there that will give you a great insight into what works and what doesn't. I personally like people like Steven Scott, who has written a few great books and also has a video course called "Mastering the Skills of Super Achievers". This is a guy who has failed many times, but has come back from that and is now extremely successful. I really believe that you can only appreciate true success if you have participated in a few failures along the way.

You don't have to spend $1000 dollars learning I.M. There are many articles online that will teach you that. Just do a Google search and you will find lots of information on the subject. However I.M strives and succeeds on your passion. What is your passion and what do you want to achieve through I.M? That will greatly lead you as to whats best for you. Right now, put your money away and do a little bit of research before you think of spending.

First of all, like most everyone else in this thread, I would say put your money to immediate use paying your current bills rather than adding new ones.

However, where I will deviate from the pack; is that I recommend spending your time reading/studying self-improvement. I learned the hard way that all the free or expensive trainings in the world don't amount to a hill of beans if your mindset and mental discipline are worthless.

      My first 3 recommendations are:
The Jackrabbit Factor by Leslie Householder (free PDF version online)
The Go-Giver by Bob Burg (got it on eBay for about $4)
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne (you could watch the DVD, too. Same effect)

This is just my 2 cents, but conditioning my mindset was my first step toward success.

It's all about whether you choose to use them.

Have a think about what it is exactly that you want to do, do you want to build niche blogs? build a list? Make money from adsense?

Making Money Online is a big broad topic, you really need to learn about a specific aspect of it, such as niche blogging, or building a list...master that, and then you can't go wrong :-)

Lots of good advice here but remember just paying someone money for their method is no guarantee it will work for you. You need to develop a business plan, and outline the steps to accomplish your goals. Then you need to stick to your plan; this is the hard part, distractions abound, especially on the net. How good are you in being your own boss?
You'll find out! I could give you a $1000 plan for 10bucks, but if it did not fit into your plan it would be worthless; and cause you only to detour from your PLAN.

Get a plan and stick to it; it's harder than you think.

This may help point you in the right direction. There are 3 basic methods for making money online.

    1. Affiliate model - This is where you market someone else's product(s) for a cut of the sales price. Lot's of courses out there teaching this. This is the most flexible model since you don't have to provide customer service or maintain the products themselves. However, for those very reasons there is a lot of competion.

    2. Advertising model - In this model you attempt to monetize a website's traffic by adding advertisements (usually Google's Adsense). The content on the site(usually a blog) is free but you make money on any clicks on the ads. The issue here is scalability. You either need lots of sites or a huge amount of traffic.

    3. Ecommerce model - Here you sell your own products. Products usually come in the form of digital ebooks, videos, and/or software of some type. You must implement all systems incuding website, shopping cart, product(s), and customer service but you also get to keep all of the profit or even start your own affilliate program so others will market your product for you.

You can of course mix & match all of the above.

I hope that helps to narrow things down.

I think the War Room and Warrior Forum has great information BUT, I think the info is overwhelming and quite frankly, much of the "opinions" are not based on true facts or experience. There are a million ways to make money with an internet biz and it seems like they are all discussed here, which of course will be quite confusing. I wish i could start all over (i guess i can..lol).

I would spend a little bit of $ and buy ONE of the most respected beginner internet marketing "systems", for lack of a better word and follow it until you make $$. Then you can explore more techniques to build your business.

Chris Farrell seems to have a great reputation. I have bought alot of Geoff Shaw products. Commission Blueprint 2.0 (Clayton) and Affilorama (Mark Ling) are also great products.

      Best wishes!

    Hey Patrick.
Am not much outside your league as i have stumbled and tumbled over the past 14 months or so trying to find an IM direction. No hug for saying its a real jungle out there!

But the way out as i have started to reason is to work backwards from your objective while you tie your money tightly round your groin!

I believe ultimately you want to make some decent money. Right?
Ask yourself these questions and follow your answers through with immediate actions. O.K?

*How do you make the money?
Create a product to sell, or promote one as an affiliate.

*How do you sell the product?
In IM, its through a website (with or without free hosting)... so go on and set one up!

*How do you get the would-be buyers?
Promotion of your visibility vehicle, a.k.a your website and its target pages.

    *How do you promote?
Well its all about visibility, through the Search Engines (thus SEO techniques), ads (pay-per-click & other variants), Quality and website benefits (contents and freebies) etc etc.

If you follow this pattern of progression with patience to unearth the hidden knowledge and energies within you and keep coming back to this lovely forum whenever you feel stuck... your one grand will stay safely resident in your wallet and you will move progressively closer to your goal.
Then and only then, you will start to know with some level of confidence and certainty where you may want to splash your hard-earned currency for further assistance and acceleration.

All said, Wealthy Affiliates though informative and great to a stage, may get you even more confused because i found the organization of their course contents rather un-regimented for a rudder-less newbie. The Warrior Forum, especially with the WarRoom gives you a far greater deal. I know because i've been there in all these places (and more) trying to sort out my IM confusions!

That's my widow's mite to you. Wishing you a lesser intimidation from all these stuff that tend to overwhelm!

Since I joined the WF in 2009 I have just been reading and surfing for information that has actually helped me to understand quite a bit about IM. I paid for a product earlier before I joined WF and honestly, that money went through the gutters for I was stuck and could not move on, hence dumping the product. Now I find that things are getting easier and easier for me to understand and apply through the wealth of information provided here. Just take your time and surf around some more if you have the patience. It pays at the end I think. Of course you need a mentor and I hope that you will find someone willing to walk with you through your learning period.

For start, you don't actually need to spend $1000 for courses. Usually, high ticket course are geared for more advanced marketers. If the course is just for beginners, it will be sold at less than $100.

Anyway, if you are looking for high ticket course, wait until the end of this month, when Mark Ling launches his Affilojetpack program. This is more than just course, it is ready-made business sites for you.

    Hi Patrick,
First of all, welcome to the Warriors Forum. This is actually the best first step you can make. Second, the next important step you can make is "take action" and don't worrry about making mistakes. You will always make mistakes, we all make mistakes, the gurus make mistakes. However, the little successes that come along with our errors are the steps forward we strive for. Every time we achieve a positive step forward, we will duplicate it from that day forward. Everytime we make an error, we have the knowledge to not make that error again. Soon, you will have a working model generating income.

There are many good recommendations in this thread regarding the programs that you can follow. Pick one, learn it 100%, implement it 100%, and once you are an expert with that program you can then replicat your successes with that program. Many here call this, "wash, rinse, and repeat".

Along the way, while following a single program, I promise that the Warriors will continue to support you with additional postive imput, recommendations, reviews of your successes and then you'll suddenly find yourself helping others make the same decisions you are faced with now.

    Great Success To You Patrick!

Hey, Patrick... I'm a newbie as well and going though this forum has helped me understand the process a lot better. There is one site by Mark Ling, Affilorama.com, that is Free to learn all of this. Check it out!

I also was a member of Maverick Money Makers for a month and soaked in as much as I could. I would have continued, but since I joined this forum, I found out that much of what he was teaching I can get here for free.

I do plan on ordering Mark Ling's Affilojetpack, just because I don't have the patience to do a website (tried it with Wordpress, which was fine, but if I wanted to have more bells and whistles - that's when I lose all patience).

Anyhow, I just thought I'd throw that site out there for you to look at.

Hell I wish I saw this forum a year ago. I paid 3 x what you have in hand just for a course that was old hat. It was by a big "guru" who I thought would have all the answers. WRONG!!! Well I guess he did have all the answers but he didn't let me know what they were. As i said the things he taught were old in IM time frame. good to learn but no longer worked as he showed.
Like many others I have gone from one system to another, and I still don't really know my "map" or my direction. So i am also taking advice offered by many of the others here to scour this forum.

A year ago I had a physical product that was earning $140 a week and I have been able to increase that by about $40 a week. So what I am saying is i don't really have much to show for what i have paid. I have several other websites that don't earn a penny. Great learning experience though.

Everyone's journey is different i guess, some stumble across their path early and others (like me) seem to find it hard to find the correct path. Having said that maybe that is the correct path for me. Too much philosophy and ranting - sorry. Thanks for putting up this thread.

"Based on what I have learned, find a system/mentor group that will show you their stuff on a trial basis and take it from there. Keep your money!"

The above is a good advice. IM is not as easy as it sounds when you are completely new. There are terms and acronyms that are going to sound like Greek to you and there are tasks to perform that is going to make you stare at your computer all night and still be out of touch in the morning.

WF is the best forum for internet marketers, be you a novice or a veteran, and people are going to help you a lot. But sometimes, when your questions are responded to, bear in mind that it's not going to occur to the person responding, that you are new. They will forget (that is human nature), and their response may be a little technical or too brief for you to understand. People may not respond to your PM's for several days going to a week or more because they too, are busy building their own and yours may not be a priority for them. You are going to experience silent frustration sometimes, because that's the acid test of becoming an Online entrepreneur and trying to be independent (this is out of personal experience). Every information you need about IM is right here...but sometimes you may have to dig and do some serious reading before you find the information you are looking for.

So...you sure can learn IM on your own just by being here at WF and by joining the Warrior Room. But to save time, it is best to get a mentor/group first, to help you get you started, and then use the tools and resources here to build your business. That way, if you get stuck and ask a question, you won't be completely in the dark because it won't sound too technical or foreign.

I recommend Stephen Pierce's 30 day free trial offer...I tried his program and I find it to be exactly what it is...for newbies. The new things I learned I've put into practice, and within two weeks and I'm now creating my own product. Since I'm already conversant with the rest, I'll just build on them using my WF membership and save the monthly fee. The good news is, it didn't cost me any money (except s/h for his free book), and I didn't have to struggle to understand the things I never knew. The other person I recommend is Jinger Jarrett. She also gives a lot of free stuff that I see being sold elsewhere, that you can use to get started. Most people who are part of her community are very happy with her. Her paid program is very cheap - only $10 a month but she also have a free one.

I wish you all the best in your decision.

I personally would spend around $150 to get a computer software engineerer to build me an optimised adsense/CPA/Amazon/Clickbank offers website. This would include all SEO, backlinks etc. Good way of making regular income from a small investment.
