LinkBuilderPro vs SERPAssist??

Hi everyone,

Starting with the premise that SENuke probably dominates this area of automation and also that there will be many people in this forum who will reccomend to use nothing else, I do. I want to use an alternative and having been looking around for a little while now.

The two products that appeal to me are Link Builder Pro and SerpAssist. Quite a number of people are touting the LBP as a very viable alternative to SENuke and of course it also happens to be a lot cheaper, on the other hand SerpAssist looks amazing and quite revolutionary in its approach, but it's priced between the LBP and SENuke.

I'd be most appreciative to hear back from the Warriors who have used either (or both) of these products and get your feedback.

Thank you
Vlad.

I used link builder pro and it's quite good especially for the price. I would prefer SERP assist in the long run though once they add more websites. The control you have in building your web 2.0 properties is definitively better. However, last I checked ( a month ago at least) they din't have support for many websites. Oh and, it's all done on their servers which is definitely a bonus (no need to setup your own proxies among many other benefits)

From memory, you can use proxies with Serp assist as well. Otherwise everything is created from their servers with a select few ip addresses.

I use SerpAssist, and yes it does come with shared proxies from the developer. It also comes with 200 free Captchas per account per month.

I really like it because it makes you build links slowly, and for me, the visual link-building aspect of the program is terrific. I think it's especially good for new sites where you need to take it easy on link building.

I also enjoy the fact that the program works on its own server and doesn't tie up my resources.

It has had a few hiccups lately, but all-in-all, a great program.

Glad to see there are at least a couple of people using SERPAssist

Norje, you mentioned some "hiccups" with the program at the present moment, which is fine as long as they get fixed obviously, so what is their support like?

Dave at SerpAssist is awesome. Very helpful, and gets back to you almost immediately if you have problems. He is also always tweaking and updating SA.

The only drawback to customer service I see is that it seems like Dave (developer of SA) also does all his own CS. As the program grows in popularity, he is going to be stretched very thin.

I've tried the 7 day trial of serpassist and it is very easy to use. My main problem though is the turnaround time. The first project that I submitted was completed within a day. My second project took around 3 days to complete. I had to email Dave to check on what's taking so long for my project to complete. He responded promptly. My 3rd and last project until now hasn't been completed yet (more than 3 days already). Emailed Dave but he has not responded.

My trial is over now and I did not sign up for the monthly subscription.

I really like Serpassist but the turnaround time is not good (for now, I guess). But once the turnaround time improves then I will surely sign up for it.

Serp Assist = JOKE! I evaluated it for 7 days like it said. Not once did any of the backlinks actually link back to my site. The trial started after business hours like 6:30 PM, I asked Serp Assist or Dave if I was doing anything wrong. He replied that the system might be STUCK? I'd stay away from this one

Thanks Natlex, you are more or less voicing my own thoughts about SERPAssist, which I think is shaping up to be a killer product as it develops. I just wish the price was a bit more manageble (especially when compared to LBP.

Thanks Chubbsky for your input, I'm just curious when you talk about turn around time, do you not specify when you want these submissions to be made? Or are you saying that having specified to make submissions on a certain day, it doesn't happen quickly enough.

Sure you tell it when to finish but it doesn't always quite make it. Depends on how much other stuff you have it doing really.

I did not specify when I want the submissions made (but I think you can do that). I was hoping to have my projects completed asap, particularly within 24 to 48 hours. I only had like 2 projects going on at the same time (which would hardly bog down the system). My 3rd project was already more than 48 hours in processing and I don't know if it has ever been finished since my trial is over.

Dave, I really like serpassist but the processing time was a bit slow during my trial. If this has been improved, I would love to use it again.

LinkBuilder Pro works amazing. And for the measely $30/mo - nothing competed with it. I just can't justify spending $127/mo or $97/mo for other programs that do basically the same thing. Spend $30 on LBP - then spend the saved money on other programs (I like BookmarkWiz too) and other services.

It posts successfully to about 20 of the sites it says it will. It probably has just as good of a success rate as SEO nuke

I'd say 20 or so sites is about accurate for LBP - the developer is constantly updating it, they are adding 10 more sites very soon, which will bring it up to about the same as SENuke.

I use LBP for auto email account creation too and the forumprofile link builder works really well.

    Hi Dave and Warriors,

    Just few questions.

What blog networks and bookmarking sites do you use?

    What is their PR?

Is there any verifiable success stories with the software to date?

    Do you have video tutorials?

What about a best practice tutorial?

How many links can the average user of your software create in a 1 hour time frame?

    Please advise.

    Thanks

PS. Looks very promising and possibly a viable alternative to the mainstream auto-backlinking software.

      Some answers:

I support about 15 Web 2.0 sites - check the FAQ for an update to date list (SERPAssist - Home Page)

They are mainly hi PR sites (Vox, Hubpages, etc.) I am rolling out some private sites that will range from PR0 to PR4.

SA is only 7 weeks old, but yes, there are users in my forum stating they are seeing positive movement on their sites.

Some vids, yes (not enough I'll admit).

I include a Getting Started Guide (PDF) as part of the install.

Time frames: remember, you are laying out your whole diagram and submitting to my backend servers. I am working *very* hard to get a consistent 24 hour turnaround on tasks. So, in an hour, you can layout a pretty complex diagram, but you are then relying on my backend servers (SACentral) to do the actual processing. 1 hour is not very realistic since you are creating accounts, confirming account, and posting. Further, you can use the scheduler to spread this out (along with article dripping) to implement a pretty robust strategy.

Bottom line: I am processing on average 4500 successful tasks per day. So ALOT is getting done well before the 24 hour mark. However, as hiccups occur (such as Blogetery going down or Terapad offline for the whole weekend for maintenance) there are going to be delays. The good news is SA self-heals. So, if a site dies (like Blogetery) I automatically redirect posts to another site to keep your diagrams complete.

The only tasks that take more than 24 hours are delayed due to some problem which gets cleared out as quickly as possible and sent on their way.

      Hope this helps!
      Dave

Where does the actual linkwheel-building get done? Philippines? India?

From what I understand as a user, tasks are completed by the SerpAssist servers, not by humans anywhere

I use all three, and it will really come down to your niche and how competitive the keywords are within Google.

I usually use all three, manual link builders and several other products and custom built solutions that will all work each domain.

The best option is to mix it up and make the linking pattern not only look natural but random.

I also set up 40 or 50 twitter accounts all set with a ton of auto post content and have 1 % or so of the tweets to reference the pages ( deep pages ) of each site.

I am sure you get the point, the bottom line is it really doesn't need to be one or the other, its better to use all and more..

You can build more links faster, and more varied links deeper within each of your domains...

Serp Assist takes it hands down.

I was a beta tester for both products, Serpassist is so much more thoroughly thought out, the developers of LBP understand the are building a piece of software that creates linkwheels, thats about it.

My only complaint about Serpassist is that it takes a little bit of time for tasks to be processed once they hit the server.

I used serpassist for a little bit and yes, the approach is great and something very hands off. But, it just didn't pack very much of a punch for me. There are very few sites it submits to and takes several days to do anything substantial. If you want results, get senuke or magic submitter..Although, I did talk with the creator of serpassist and he says he is adding sites. But for me, yeah, I like the idea, but I need results and serpassist just wasn't doing it for me. Magic submitter is great for the price though..

Good luck, and research your keywords before you begin.

SA supports 24 Web 2.0 sites right now and I just implemented the automated bookmarking capability which will initially target big sites like Digg, StumbleUpon, and Connotea with plans to implement smaller pligg sites to balance quality and quantity.

More and more I am working to make SERPAssist a totally set and forget system (including the upcoming diagram template concept) to make implementing your strategy as easy as possible.

To specifically address the question around "stuck" tasks, say a web site is down for maintenance, a task is retried 3 times over 3 hours. This is what I call "stuck". This happens and is just the nature of article marketing.

The cool part about SERPAssist is the system is designed to focus on fixing these WITHOUT you needing to get involved.

When VOX closed for good, all the pending tasks that were "stuck" got redirected to alternate sites - all done automatically. Thus, your diagrams remained "whole" and you did not have to do a thing as a result of this major site no longer working.

Yes, it took a few days for me to fully implement the redirects, but customers did not have to do a thing for this to all happen.

This is what SERPAssist is all about and is what sets it apart from other tools.

Thanks for letting me take some time to explain a bit about SERPAssist.

      -Dave

senuke is clunky and slow with updates from time to time, but its still king in this segment of the market.

Others are flexible, some have "teachable" functions, some have stupid worthless gimiks, some can show you visual stuff but ease of use and quick blasts, senuke is still the choice hands down.

Try putting that on a dedicated server, assign a VA and run it the whole day.
