Is Aweber the Best Way to Go for Email List Building or Are There Others?

Warriors:

I'm about to take the plunge and put up an opt-in box on my review site to start building my list, but I was wondering, what is the best service to use in terms of reliability, quality, affordability and effectiveness?

Is it Aweber or is there something else that is better?

Thanks.

  • There are plenty of alternatives to AWeber, but I use AWeber for my own mailing without hesitation. Reliability and deliverability are important to me. However, if you go for any of the top 5 or so solutions, you shouldn't meet any real problems.

It seems like aweber it is, but if you don't mind me asking, you mentioned "top 5 or so solutions", what are the top 5?

If you're on a limited budget and want a reliable autoresponder
then AWeber is an excellent choice.

They have a $1 trial too and thereafter it only costs $19 for
      your first 500 subscribers:

      https://www.aweber.com/order.htm (no affil.)

A lot of top Internet Marketers still use AWeber and they've
been providing reliable autoresponder services for over 10
      years now.

For example, Paul Myers, Marlon Sanders, Ken McCarthy, etc.

If you're just getting started, then AWeber is a great choice.

Just decide, get on with it and begin to build your list and
      your income.

Seriously, you can't go wrong with AWeber if you're just
starting out. And they've got great support and training
      materials too.

      Good luck!

Great - I'm sure you'll find them to be a good provider
          with high deliverability too.

I prefer getresponse because they have an iphone app that lets me add users on the fly (people ask to join my list I hand them the phone with the app launched). Also lets me see my stats.

Their are a few reviews here on WF and the owner is a fellow warrior. Flat rate is pretty awesome at 17.95 month but double optin required no mater what kinda sucks.

If GetResponse gives you an option to do single opt-in ... then it's worth asking yourself if you want to try single vs. double opt-in lists.

Always controversial ... everyones got an opinion but it will come down to your own tests.

Profollow.com looks like an awesome deal! Only 19.95 for 10,000 subscribers. Does it require double optin?

Also MailChimp.com looks great too since its free for up to 500 subscribers and then only $15 for 500-1,000 subscribers. Do they require double optin?

Yup, Profollow is what I went with. If what you mean by "double optin" is having to confirm your subscription by email after you sign up, then yes, it does.

I decided not to go with Mail Chimp because too many people recommended against it. Plus, I hear that they don't allow affiliate marketers, so, since that's too much to think about, I went with something else.

Aweber if you're doing affiliate selling, but Mailchimp is also good if you're not. Mailchimp can be a bit confusing at first due to the layout, but once you get the hang of it it's top quality. It's also more attractive then Aweber (The links in your emails / their designs if you can't design yourself / their actual website) and gets stopped by less spam filters (Due to their no affiliate rule), so if you're not doing affiliate promotion I'd suggest them. Otherwise go with Aweber, as they're still top quality.

I'm working with ComF5. Very flexible autoresponder, and also. You can add video directly in his platform, preventing your videos are removed from sites like YouTube and others, for promote products.

ComF5: Pricing & Packages (no afil.)

For newbie it is possible to be a little expensive, but with growing, the service is mor cheap than the rest.

Good decision on using Aweber. I've build a list in another site, months of work on that and in 1 single day I logged in to that site and had nothing.

It's better to rely on a good network rather than a cheaper one.

GetResponse shut me down for having a poor quality list. Ironically most of this list was built with their very own list builder program.

Why would a company shut you down when you paying them. If your paying me I don't care about the quality of your list.

I use aweber for my affiliate marketing lists.

However, for my local consulting businesses I started using iContact, mostly because they allow single-opt-in. For local brick&mortar businesses who ask their customers for their email to follow up with them, the double opt-in is an additional hurdle that in my opinion is not always welcome. And when they use this to follow up with leads, they will lose subscribers if they had a double opt-in. I know there are pros even in this situation (security: nobody else than the owner can be added to a list as he has to confirm his subscription through an email sent to him), but until I hit such a case on that side of my business I will try the single opt-in and iContact. Also when I get on a new client and need to transfer his database of clients into an autoresponder service it is not realistic to want all their clients to receive a confirmation email...

Also, as I have some lists for non english speaking leads and clients, I had issues with aweber handling accents correctly - they showed up as weird characters in the name or subject lines... not good if you want to look as a serious business...

    re: MailChimp
I talked to one of their reps re: mandatory double opt-in - they said that if you create your own subscription forms or use Wufoo then you can do single-opt-in.
Does anybody here have experience doing this, i.e. using MailChimp with custom sign-up forms? please let us know the details here

    Hey Guys,

Has anyone of you have checked ImnicaMail ? I have been with them for over an year now and they are just best in my opinion.

The owner of Imnica is just an awesome dude who knows how to look after
    his customers.

The delivery rate is pretty good as well. In my opinion they are best from aWeber and GetResponce.

In the past I was with GetResponce until they shut me down for no reason... Same happend with iContact. Also the GetResponce support was taking ages until they answer to you.

Imnica has the best delivery rate for me so far.

Also they DO HAVE THE Best ever Support.

Make sure you do check them out - when you find out what your current autoresponder is charging compared to Imnica you will be shocked.

Imnica is well worth more than they currentlly charge. For that price and all the things they offer their is no better solution.

    Thanks,

I hope this will help some of you.

To Start With Iv'e Only Really Used Aweber So far, as that is the one people go on about all the time. But it's good to be Open & Go Opposite Direction to Everyone else.

AutomateYourList Autoresponder & Newsletters: Unlimited Follow Up Autoresponders Increase Email Deliverability.
Is Cheaper & it's Owned by Michael Rasmussen & it's Based upon Aweber auto-responder.
I'd Try that out Before Aweber.
