Not with them, but with similar services.

Use their offer for 10 free posts to test the service. Watch how long it takes for the post to get pushed off the first page (where the PR is) and see if they have any inner pages with PR on the sites.

Also, it's good if they give you the URLs of the posts, not so great if they don't.

I'm using them right now - so far, I'm really liking the results. I would compare them to Linkvana. One of the main differences though is that BuildMyRank also bookmarks your posts on their blogs, and as a result I've noticed that each link seems to pack a little bit more punch

Another neat thing is that you can insert one link per 150 words in each post, so you can write a longer post and add more than one link if you want

Oh oh .. that's not good.

      Wait, what????

Yep, not good at all. Any network that creates footprints is setting a papertrail to follow. Google slap in 3 ... 2 ... 1

Umm, how is that not good? We have like 5000 SB accounts. And it's not like we blast the same link to all of them. We randomly select 25-75 accounts for each post. Using proxies too.

What about Linkvana? Do they also leave such a footprint?

Better question: which backlink networks do NOT leave a footprint?

I now have 15 fully indexed and marked links back to my site concentrating on two keywords. No movement in serps yet as its just been about 3 weeks.

Of the 25 articles I had posted I have 6 not yet indexed, and the 15 to measure success so far by. With the way it is setup you can easily monitor if any link is indexed or not and see the exact site your article gets sent to.

15 articles/links indexed plus 6 not yet indexed is 21, so I expect the remaining 4 articles that I know are indexed to be noticed by google/yahoo backlink tool within the next week or so.

I absolutely love that I can monitor almost all aspects of my links and that the links that do appear to be indexed through a manual google screening are actually showing up in yahoo site explorer and google backlink tool. This may seem like a "well duh" thing to say, but I had links before (prior to bmr) that seemed to be indexed but yahoo and google didnt appear to notice a thing.

Only draw back so far is that creating all the super unique content can be a bit tedious. If you spin content, you need to spin it really well, titles and all to gain acceptance. I write my own content because I enjoy writing, but if some of your articles are more than 65% similar you risk being rejected. In this case you are allowed to edit or delete the problem article.

Finally for the articles themselves, speaking of their length, due to the way the articles get indexed, I believe you are far better off creating smaller snippet articles rather than big 450+ word articles. If a large article with several links does not get indexed, you are pretty much SOL for those links since some articles just do not get indexed (approx < 5% overall) You have a better chance with smaller articles with one but no more than two links as even if a few do not get indexed, you still have several more that do.

            Hope this helps.

I assume these blogs will have lots of outbound links pointing to money/affiliate sites. Google will de-value a backlink from a site with lots of outbound links pointing to money/affiliate sites. Have a look at the recent Panda update. So what's the point in using this service?

If I was using this service I would not be promoting it and encouraging others to join - for the reasons stated above.

It doesn't matter if they don't use aff links or adsense. The point is that all their outbound links (and lots of them for each blog) point to affiliate sites and this might be a problem with Google, specially after the Panda update. I'm a little concerned about that

I think it is a great system and have had great results.

    • Pages get indexed fast (if you think that matters).
    • The blogs aren't full of advertising and sold links like other networks.
    • Content is moderated and posted to relevant categories.
    • Pages get a bookmarked to give the pages some online presence.
I have had movement on aged pages after posting only a 3 or 4 links on the system.

It's useful to have different sources of backlinks . Ezine is great but after 3-5 backlinks to your website it eventually loses power in google's eyes.

I have to comment that I've been using them for a while now, but never yet hit on any PR 5 or 6 blogs at all, not that the page your post is on is actually a PR 5 or 6 - It is not of course, but there is supposedly a trickle down effect which I've heard about....

So wondering how many PR 5 or 6 are actually in their system....Most of my posts are in PR 1 and 2.....some in PR 3. A few in PR 4 (about 1/6 of the total). That's all.

Results have been patchy. Some small movements for low competition KWs but needs so many posts just to make it move....even a little. Dropbacks in SERPs are also commonly observed. Writing everything by yourself can be a chore.

        Just my experience.

Hi Dellco, not sure how many posts you've made but there are plenty of PR4+ domains in our network. Naturally not as many PR6s as lower PR domains, but rest assured they are there.

And sure it won't work for everyone, but it's working for too many people, including myself to be a fluke. And not just for low competition keywords.

    I have started testing them

I wrote one post , which they rejected , which is good as my grammar was pretty poor
once corrected it got approved, I have 9 more free links to try

This first post is on a PR 4 site but has not been indexed yet, we'll see.

I have also purchased 10 post of 150 words (1 link per post), turn around at 3-5 business day. Let's see what they come up with

You basically have a 15 days trial, wich should be enough to test their offering with free posts and their writers should you need them

Interface is clear, so far so good...I'll report back in a couple of weeks with further feedback on the service.

    Give them a try.

I am testing it out right now.

Submitted three posts so far. One short with one link. One middle with two links and one long with three links.

Were posted to PR 2,4 and 6 respectively.

I found them pretty quickly (within 24 hours) and bookmarked them myself.

Am tracking one page that I am doing no other backlinking projects on to see if it makes a difference.

Will use the other 7 free ones as well to the same page.

Also tracking the main page and my specific article on each domain in Market Samurai.

It does give you a variety of backlinks which is nice vs multiple links from the main article directories.

Is it possible that you have been writing some longer articles with more than one link in them? You get ten free links - not ten free articles.

I have about 14 articles in the system with 3 that have not been indexed. I have only been with them for a bit more than two weeks, so Ill post my results within the next month or so as they come.

My current campaign will contain about 80 articles submitted over a span of 45 days. These are article subjects i have outlined already that just need to be written. This is my first submission service I have ever used so it will be interesting what happens in the serps. My website is brand new with only links from this service.

It is very tedious to create the articles, but I am far more interested in the quality of the links I am getting. As of most current I am creating about five 150-300 word articles per day. This takes me about an hour or so at most. These are not difficult to write in the least, but i can see why some would call it labor intensive.

Again though, i do feel the links are very high quality so I will probably stick with bmr as long as I see results in serps.

        So lets assume you create 5 links x 5 days = 25 links. Roughly 100 a month.

        And you have a hour a day in. 1 hour a day x 5 days = 20 hours a month.

        If you can make 10.00 and hour x 20 hours = 200.00

Plus the cost of 57.00 a month for membership = 257.00

257.00 divided by 100 links created......... 2.57 each.

Your goal is links, quality links. Your not writing these blurbs for traffic.

For 147.00 a month you could use linxboss, put in 5 urls get 200 links a month each, same quality, no work.

I joined this program two months ago, after reading review by Daniel McGonagle from linkvanareviews. In case you didn't know, Daniel tested several link building services and posted the results in his blog.

In the first month, I think it is a bit hard to use since they rejected spun content and some of hand-written content. In fact, I was thinking about leaving this network in the second month. Backlink Solutions is much easier to use and they also accept spun content.

However, in the second month, I began to understand their system. With BMR, you don't need lots of links. One or two links per day is more than enough to dominate Google for product name keywords. As long as their network maintains its quality, I will continue my subscription.

If you are new to BMR, it is recommended to read the posting guidelines. You will understand why the content is rejected.

BuildMyRank.com – Link Building Service Featuring High Quality One-Way Backlinks » Posting Guidelines

Don't waste your time spinning the content and submit. 99% of my spun content are rejected. You must place the links properly within the article body and make the link position looks "natural".

Just started my free trial with this tool and so far so good. Wrote 5 articles so far, 3 are posted in PR 2 blogs and 2 are in PR 4 blogs. All 5 have been indexed so far.

I guess for me the tedious part of writing 150 word articles is not as tedious as one might think. I tried writing a 150 word article in just 3 minutes. Assuming of course you have done prior research or you are just really good with words.

    Overall, I'm impressed so far.

I gave it a try and it seemed to help my site get ranked on page 1. I'm not sure though because I was doing a lot of backlinking at the time. I know the articles don't stay on the home page long though. Here's a tip, put your link as close to the top of the article as possible. If it's at the end, it won't be in the excerpt and won't show on the home page. It will only show when you click on the post title to see your post which has no page rank.

I have had a few months of use with three of my domains, one being a micro niche site which is brand new, and the other two authority sites that i am ranking for several keywords. BMR is a great way to build links to sites with some age on them already. Id say at least 6 months or more.

Get your site indexed and ranked, however low it may be, then start building links to it. BMR should also be part of a larger link plan, not the only thing you use. It is, however, a great service that I have felt great results from.

I have ranked page 1 for numerous 4+ word phrases in google for my main authority site with about 10 link snippets for each phrase. I use about 10-30 articles for low/medium keywords, about 30-60 for medium, and 100+ for high competition.

I can write about 10 articles in about 20 minutes so the writing part is not a problem for me. All they want is uniquely written content, not new content that the world as never heard of before.

My links for the previous months are all fully indexed by google so 100% index rate. Right now for January its about 85%, but I have several articles pending for distribution that is counted toward that 85%, so its more like 95-97% overall. Really though the index rate is not something that you should think about. Just make sure your site has settled in rankings, where ever that may be, or at least has some age on it, like I said 6 or more months I have found is ideal, then start submitting.

Hope this helps anyone confused about how best to use it

it's very difficult to make out whether this service is good or not based on reading the reviews on here.

I've joined up, but I'm not sure whether this is actually any good or a complete waste of time.

I'm currently looking for a writer to outsource the article writing,

I'll post a review after trying out this service for a month or so.

Part of the problem with reading reviews by other people on the internet is that you have no idea where the review is coming come. You could get a review from a complete noob whose making pocket money from seo, who moves up from #19 to #17 on a 4 word keyword, and rave about the service.

But on the other hand you could have an experience veteran, whose making 5 figures a month, who'll tell you this service is a complete waste of time and money.

You can only take these reviews at face value, because you dont really know about someones background.

Bottom line - I've been using BMR for 2 months now on my own sites and clients sites and I've seen great results!!! All my keywords (which are competitive) have had a strong boost in rankings. They do not accept junk/spun articles, only unique quality articles. I'd definitely give it a try, I'm a happy client of BMR for sure! And the price is more than reasonable!

i am thinking about closing my BMr account because of repeated content rejection issues.i am outsourcing articles from my writer who writes for my blogs, and he never had any article rejected from ezine or any other services.I even use him for guest posting for my PAD partners.
IN short,i believe its their ploy to get ppl to sign up for their 2.5 $ / article writing service.
other than that,,,its a best service you can get.

I've never had an article rejected...so I don't think their is a ploy to force people to pay them for articles. You just have to submit unique quality articles.

I've had the same thing but it comes down to what the writer submits - some of the lazy writers I've hired couldn't even finish out a batch of posts because they couldn't figure out how to write 20+ posts without writing the same thing over and over again

On the other hand, I've had writers that write good unique content and can submit 100 posts without any issues

It's not a ploy to get people to buy posts from BMR

And that's exactly what I'm concerned about - BMR has limited amount of C class IPs they host their blogs on, that's why you see little difference after 10-15 posts.

"Authority Link Network" might be a good solution to carry on the SEO push.

I think the power of this kind of system (as opposed to just posting the content on a squidoo lens for instance) is that the post is on the home page for a period of time. It falls off when more content is added and at that point I think it looses its effectiveness since it is now on a nothing page.
So it seems to me that slow and steady wins the race for this kind of tool.

its been fixed for a while, get the firefox flush dns plugin, and flush it.

I've submitted my 10 links but hungry to submit some more, approval seems to be quite slow.

If the links get indexed and I get a chance to gauge the quality of the blogs, I'd be happy to buy the subscription and use this.

    My two cents worth,

This is a very good program. It is a membership. You have the option of writing your own posts or outsourcing at $2.50 a link. The owners really did a good job putting this one together. You will see a boost in rankings with Build My Rank.

I got 300 150 word posts on freelancer.com for $150. I've also seen jobs awarded for .75c per post too. Definately worth shopping around if you're thinking of outsourcing your posts because you can get them a LOT cheaper than from BMR direct.

I think BMR allows 10 posts (max 3 links requiring 450 word article) - so total of 900 links per month. At $59/month seems like a great deal if you write all the articles. If you use their writers at $2.50 per 150 word article (1 link), well u r looking at over $2,000 to get 900 links (this is to maximize the number of links they allow per month, certainly don't have to do that many).

Linxboss costs $147/month and permits 1,000 links per month (spread between up to 5 domains - same as BMR). You just submit url's & anchor text and they insert in to their own unique content and post.

Anybody ever compared the results of these 2 services??

I joined about 4 days ago, and I have already seen some improvement in rankings in Bing for a competitive keyword (one-word). I think it's worth noting that my site is 8 months old with 80+ pages. Maybe that helps a little (a not-so-new domain).

If you need to write an original article for each single backlink you get wouldn't you be better off posting the article on a squidoo lens or something like that? I asked the folks on their help desk this question in middle of a back and forth with them and have not heard back from them with their answer. So in essense the way it is they are getting paid and getting your original content. I was bummed out because I am always looking for new sources of links juice. Glad to see so many warriors liking their service though.

I have used BMR for amonth, and have been very pleased with the service. Mostly PR2 and 3 links. One PR6 link which is pretty cool.

One question I have is if the link is on the home page for about a week and G sees the (say) PR4 and gives your site a good boost. One week later, your article has dropped back to page 2 which as zero PR. Is there any ongoing value here?

The main keyword I am promoting has gained 23 spots on Bing ! Quite impressive. I got an email last week from Jon Leger talking about how to get high rankings on Bing, and he mentioned 'editorial links', which is just what BMR provides !

I have 6 live blurbs (which I write myself) and so far the PR distribution has been 2 PR 4's, 2 PR 2's and 2 PR 1's.

        What does this mean?

If I use BMR to build like 5-10 links per site that I own...is there any real harm or danger in footprints.

I wouldn't be using it to build hundreds of links per site, just a few, to add to the foundation....

I think thiss service (BMR) is cool, just give it a try you'll soon notice that it's really cool. Don't expect to soon result, but see it like 1-2 weeks ,3 week after backlink submission will be better.

Since their article is manually reviewed, you'll really need to write original articles all the time with limited to 10 backlinks submission per domain per day.

    No spun articles accepted.

I am trying them out right now. I have not seen a big improvement in rankings yet but I will be sticking around a couple more months to see if it just takes a little longer. My bing ranking after definitely up but I am doing a lot of different link building for my sites so it is hard to say if it is bmr or not.
It is a pain to write this many new post all the time. It takes me about 2 hours per day to get done. I am a little disappointed that about 2/3 of the posts are going on pr 2 or pr 1 sites. I got one pr 5 and that was during the trial.

Im currently using their free trial and submitted 10 links for a 1 yr old site that is ranking around 30 for a medium competition keyword phrase. No movement yet but it's early days. I figure I'll test it further with 1 months subscription, and post at least 2 links per day for each domain.
Im making sure that I have the posts ready to go before I subscribe though as I just know I'll get sidetracked and not make best use of the subscription. (60 x 150 word posts so far today and my brain is fried...)

My question to anyone who curently subscribes - do you need to keep posting to maintain any gains in SERPs position?

I have been using them for nearly a year now and if I have learnt anything, it's that you need to focus your efforts rather than cast far and wide. When I started I was sucked into the romance of high PR links - I spread links far too thin.

With experience (and it depends on how competitive your keyword is) I would say that you want to focus on the main keyword, an LSI, and a naked URL (for safety) about 70/20/10 respectively. And then throw in other types of links for good measure.

I would be targeting one main keyword per domain as you get 10 links (posts) per domain, per day in BMR. If you buy into the standard package of 5 domains you can be building 50 links a day - for $59/£37 that's a belter for these links.

I make sure I post the maximum every day, when I stated that meant I was writing nearly 10,000 words by 1.00pm on some days But I got the returns from it so that's all that matters (I think I also encouraged carpel tunnel syndrome but that's another story).

If you are going to leverage BMR fully I would recommend it, but if not, you could find yourself paying $59 for 10 links a month, and in that light it's not such a steal ^^

To answer renegadetmj above, that depends entirely on how competitive the keyword is. I use BMR for local SEO, small businesses. I can rank 1st with just 3 posts a week within a month, and I'll stay there.

If you're an affiliate marketer you'll probably want to stay consistent, but then again that's really a given in linkbuilding, it's better to have 10 a day for months, than 100 a day, as a one-off. Have fun!
