Anyone Used aMember With Success?

I am looking at some membership software for different membership needs.

I'll probably use Membergate for something I am doing in a couple of months, but want to use something simple for something else right now.

have heard some good stories about aMember... Can anyone tell me some of their experiences?

    I've been using Amember since 2006. Got Amember for like 5-6 sites. One of the best membership software, and my personal favorite. :-)

    aMember is a great membership program, but you have to be extremely tech savvy to get it looking good. There's nothing easy about the set up part of aMember.

    We are using it on our site, works like a charm!
    User integration, payment integration and file protection is really easy and just works.

    Its funny how one post says its easy and just works and the post above it says there is nothing easy about it.

    I have amember set up on a site I own and I have outsourced the install and the changes. I'd say you need meduim tech skills at the minimum.

      I have aMember and agree that it isn't the easiest for someone with little PHP knowledge. They do offer free install of the script on your site though but I outsourced the overall design of my site to incorporate aMember as the design I wanted was beyond my skill level.

        I've used Amember too, for almost 5 years. I agree with everyone, you need to have some technical skills in order to set it up. It does take me quite some time set up the script. But once it's been set up, you'll be glad you've made the right choice.
