Phantom Optin

So I received information about phantom optin, but on clicking the link I have a big warning pop-up in firefox from McAfee about browser security.

So if this something to do with how the opt-in part works is it another dud software tool for creating pop-ups?

It uses some script (AJAX) to reload the page without having you to refresh the site when you opt-in.
