What Membership Software Do you Use?

I've been shopping around for membership site software. I want something I can integrate and use with xsitepro. The problem is, the choices seem to be either, upload all my content to their servers (i.e. forced continuity) or use their script on my servers. That isn't a problem but now I have to learn a completely new system, and I spend all my time frustrated that I can't even do simple things, insert graphics, for example, without a huge hassle, emails to support, combing through knowledge bases, etc.

Does anybody have something that is simple to use, the bugs worked out, and can be integrated with xsitepro?

if not, what are you using and having success with?

All the best.

Try "Wishlist" or "aMember". Google them.

Do not use either of these products in my opinion. There is a far superior solution out there. It is called Digital Access Pass (DAP).

Do a search for it you will find plenty of reviews.

But, in my opinion DAP destroys the competition when it comes to building membership sites with WordPress. There is no better solution out there.

I have tried them all and every single one of them fall short from Dap.

Plus, the support level over at DAP is second to none.

I bought easymemberpro, it came down to that or Amember. I thought easymemberpro looked "easier" i was wrong. Is there a steep learning curve to Amember?

As far as functions go, I'm willing to pay for functionality. I just want something that won't be a hassle to use, that I won't have to spend years learning, that has most thing I need for running a professional membership web site. I have a ton of material to put up, so I need something where I can get to work building the site, not learning the software.

Thanks for your replies BTW...I'll look at wishlist.

I just set up a site with amember a couple weeks ago. I had the entire thing up, templates, and integrate with paypal and clickbank the same day. Although I have a lot of experience setting up sites and doing this stuff but I never used amember. I was shocked how smooth it went. I usually get pissed about something and want custom work done but it seems to be great so far.

Yeah, I'm the same way, been doing web marketing for years now. I'm not a total newbie by any means. Most things don't give me problems anymore. I was able to install the script no problem. But when I went to add content, design the template, etc, nothing worked according to the manual, or the way the forums said it was "supposed to". Starting thinking "is it me? or is the software?" Left a message on the forum this morning after frustrating myself, and still haven't heard back from them. So I'm ready to ditch it.

Before you decide, take a look at Traindom: Information Marketing Business in Minutes - Traindom

Watch the 2-min video on the homepage for a quick overview. It's free until you're actually making money with it.

I like a lot of features on it. But the one thing I don't like is managing my content on someone else's server. I'll pretty much start making money right out of the gate, so that isn't really a consideration, but I don't want to get into a "Kajabi" type situation where all my content could disappear if they don't like the color of my socks, or they have ultimate control of my business. It just isn't a good situation for me. Not saying its bad, just at this stage of development if it isn't on my server, then I wouldn't sleep at night. It looks like a great solution for a lot of people though. I know other people who would be interested in that, and I'll pass it along.

We tried to use wishlist member for MOBS, but hostgator just didn't want any of it... the configurations kept resetting themselves...

Wishlist member is confusing to set up, DLGuard is a doddle, get it all done in 30 minutes.
