Like to buy one good premium wordpress theme, any help?

Hi everyone,

I had searched the forum and see many recommendations of wordpress premium themes - thesis, studiopress, woothemes, flexsqueeze, socrates, headway, artisteer, frugal, elegantThemes, etc. So I am lost deciding which one is suitable for me.

I use some free themes before this, so not really satisfied with the look. I know look is not important but I believe premium themes have better ROI in long run.

I am not really a pro internet marketer, just starting out less than a year. Can consider IM noob.

I have very limited budget but I am willing to invest hopefully it is just 1 time investment for all my sites. Yeah, I know thesis and headway are really super expensives, plus after convert USD$ -> Malaysia money, really a lot! so hope it is really worth it.

I like to ask the warrior's recommendation.

FYI, I am a full time IT professional, so to me technical stuff is not an issue. Just i prefer less complicated coding so i can focus more on contents and marketing.

Also as mention before, I have 1 budget for this and I don't want to make mistake.

I am looking to have wordpress themes for 2 scenarios:-

a) blog style - simple look and less complicated design, easy to customise... here is an example blog style that i am quite keen - e.g. thesis theme

Easy Thesis Skin (non affiliate link)

b) landing page style - so i can create my own landing page and optins based on top of wordpress platform. If can allow me to put in those guarantee images, testimonials box, etc will be good.

I am looking for the wordpress theme which can provide me good skin/theme to use, not have to buy each time.

I am looking for wordpress theme that is good for SEO and monetization too. like easy to add adsense and also amazon affiliate links.

Less complicated to use, continuous updates (always updates and free for existing subscribers) and support from the vendor. Good tutorials for free to setup too.

The theme must works and compatible with wordpress plugins like all in one seo, and others.

Studiopress to me is rather complicated with graphics and too much distractions, so I am not sure is a good choice. Plus if I start from scratch, my site can be very empty using StudioPress themes.

Socrates I heard was powerful, but I feel the theme is rather ugly .. not sure why so famous though?

any help from warrior forum?

To be honest, I kinda like thesis and flexsqueeze. But again like to hear your thoughts on this one.

thanks again.

Hi... You are in the right direction.

It is should be Thesis or Flexsqueeze.

If you are going more on the blog style site than go with Thesis.

If you are going more on the internet marketing, affiliate marketing, product review and niche sites than go with Flexsqueeze.

It is a very important investment and you will not regret it.

    Good luck.

I use Socrates and think it's a great theme. Some of their demo sites are definitely "ugly" but they give you the ability to change everything (header, menu style, etc.) with just some configuration changes. For me, it's definitely been worth the investment.

      Hi D Baker,

Like to check. So basically FlexSqueeze cannot do like the blog theme similar to Thesis one? Same to thesis, which i cannot do landing page?

Actually i am curious ... are most internet marketing sites running on blog style? except product launches which use landing pages and optins. Same to product reviews right, on blog style!

well i plan to do both blog and landing page styles, and i don't plan to buy both premium themes, too costly for me

or are there better themes out there that can suit both needs at the same time, while has great seo like thesis as well as customisation, good for adsense monetization, nice skins, etc.

      any help? thanks.

      Hi John,

But if takes so much work to customise in order for socrates to look good, i rather spend a bit more money getting the expensive one.

Nevertheless, most important is my theme looks nice and less confusing and distractions to my visitors (no offense to studiopress, looks that way to me). Some themes are heavy graphics too (slow loading), namely elegant themes.

      any more recommendations? thanks again.

        Hi Wen Ching,
You might want to go Google "powered by flexibility 3" or "powered by flexsqueeze" to look out for example of flexsqueeze themes in action.

Or you can try out "flexibility theme" which the free version of flexsqueeze..
