I would recommend Wishlist. I have used for quite a while on multiple sites. The support is good, the updates are regular. There is rumour that they are going to start charging for updates on a yearly basis but this is yet to be confirmed.

I have been using it for quite a while on different sites and has worked well. They also provide good support.

Once you buy the store feature you can use it on multiple sites however the member and affiliate has to be purchased for each site.

I use "amember" from tipsandtrickshq.com, you can buy cart, member and affiliate wordpress plugins as a bundle for less than $100, and they all integrate. I run my main site on that and have had great support from them when I had a few issues.

If you like using the Wordpress Platform for a Membership site and you want every feature imaginable for a decent price, try:

I recently changed to this Wordpress Plugin after using both Wishlist Member and aMember with the amProtect Wordpress plugin. I had signup issues constantly with both and Payment issues as well.

DAP came through for me like no other. I also tried the Magic Member and Magic Affiliate plugin combo as well and while they are pretty good, I got everything and more from DAP.

Can someone with experience on the Wordpress member plugins tell me if you can protect non-Wordpress pages as well? I want to use WP to be my index, but have a php script protected for member access. In the videos I watch for wishlist it seems only WP posts, pages, catergories can be protected. How about a php file?

You can protect non-wordpress pages, but not with the wordpress plugin. The non-wordpress pages don't get loaded up by the wordpress framework, so the plugins that check authorization aren't activated.

I'm a php programmer and can help write something you can use to protect all the rest of your files (php, images, html, css, video, whatever).

I don't know your exact requirements *but* nanacast can do all of that for you and more.

There is a monthly charge involved but if you're going to use a shopping cart (such as 1 shopping cart) it's a wash.

Nanacast allows you to have an unlimited number of membership sites, acts as a shopping cart for membership sites or regular (product) sites, integrates with fulfillment houses, and has a membership program.

If yo already have a shopping cart you're happy with (and want to forgo the monthly expense) try Digital Access Pass.

Thanks. I am not sure if you were responding directly to my request for a php page protector or in general. Do you know DAP will work for what I need? (WP index and then protect my php app). I did send DAP an email about this and they responded that they haven't done extensive testing, but it 'should' work.
I will consider Nanacast if I go to an affiliate model.
