Been on a few webinars selling this product. Has anyone taken the plunge? Thoughts? :confused:

    I've just been on a webinar about this too, it was impressive, but it's funny hey, on the one hand they say the big guns like Amazon and Ebay are doing it already testing the market and teaching the consumer for us... then by the end of the webinar they are saying get in early and take advantage...
    I think some of it looked really good, but at $497 discount then $997 from Tuesday, a lot of the services were free or small cost, so I think a lot of the cost would be for the training, would be good to hear feedback on this ....

    I've also listened to a few webinars promoting Dan Holling's mobile marketing program and it does appear to be a very good program. I would love to know if anyone who has been a student of this program has found that the strategies taught have truly been worth the investment.

    One additional point I must mention, I have been on two webinars and the one promoted by Tim Castleman had some great bonuses added that made it worth the investment. I plan to make my decision on it by Saturday. Would love to hear what others think about it, in the meantime.

      I'm not a past student... but I did join this the morning after the webinar a few days ago. 90% of the information isn't new to me (although I liked how he presented it), but I did join for the 10% that I have been unfamiliar with and wanted more info on. (Bar code stuff).

      I know that probably seems crazy lol - to pay that kind of money for that part of it, but in my thoughts, anything that I can gain knowledge wise is worth it, as he mentioned, to be able to earn it back probably before even the second (full) webinar.

      Got into the site, downloaded the stuff that's in there now and took a look at it all. Again - not a whole lot new to me BUT I've been working on this and have done a ton of hours of researching in the recent while. Wish I'd had this before I spent all those days... :rolleyes:

      The downloads in there right now aren't hugely revealing, because I think a lot of that will be on the paid webinars starting next week.

      The directories and resources are huge to me (worth the price) as I said because of the time I'd spent - and that alone, his lists are MUCH larger than what I'd found.

      Installed the toolbar/igoogle page, and was a little ticked off at first to be honest because MY igoogle page disappeared and was replaced by his. Actually I was quite bugged, because I had a few feeds from sites that I read daily (not junk, but market stuff).

      However, after I calmed down (LOL) - I realized that I could still get to my regular igoogle page simply by clicking "home"

      There is one slide show "conversation skit" of "The Consultant and the Other Guy" which was totally humorous to me but absolutely 100% true, you could see it play out.

      Would have liked to print that one, but it has background pics which just use up my ink, so I didn't.

      The blueprints are useful too

      These are backup resources/files though, as he said (and as I mentioned above), most will come with the webinars.

      Haven't gotten Tim's bonus yet though even though it was promised... (And sent 2 emails about it).

Your competition is going mobile, your prospects are already mobile and your existing customers are literally waiting on you to get your act together. Ignoring this fact is what I call "Marketers Suicide."

      HARD TO DENY FACT #3
      All sites need traffic including mobile sites. But WHERE do we get it? And the old equation TRAFFIC + CONVERSION = SUCCESS just isn't good enough for Mobile; there are TWO missing factors you must add to this equation.

      TRAFFIC + ________ + COVERSION + ________ = MOBILE SUCCESS

      BTW... we will waste no time in implementing a killer traffic campaign that will begin driving mobile traffic to your mobile site within days of your site going live.       3. Hours of operation
      4. Phone number (click to call)
      5. Menu, list of products/services
      6. Reviews / Testimonials
      7. Discount offers
      8. Event information
      9. Interesting content (in micro-chunks)
      10. Fast facts, micro tips, FAQs about your products/services
      11. Twitter, Facebook or FourSquare links
      12. A way to opt-in for something "mobile"
      13. A toll-free recorded message number
      14. A link to your full PC site

      You might have other mobile magnets, but for now... settle in on one or a few of these items that you could provide. This information will be the foundation of the mobile page (or pages) you build.

      PREP-STEP 2

      Plan on creating a general "catch-all" mobile site that can be used on business cards etc. This might be from one page to 6 pages, based on what your goals and business might be.

      Plan on creating a landing page for getting Mobile opt-ins (you'll want to think-up a Mobile "I must have this" type offer that your prospects and customers can't resist)

      Plan on creating a "Transition Page" - something that for now, I'll keep secret and reveal the details in our webinar.

      PREP-STEP 3

      Optional: Have a small image or logo handy (on your desktop).

      PREP-STEP 4

      Think of the domain names you might want to secure for your Mobile pages. These should be .mobi domains. Do not buy domains for speculation, but rather get the few you need that protect the existing domains you already have. Buy additional .mobi domains ONLY if you have an immediate use.

      We will discuss the use of .info domains for Mobile in the class. Hold off buying these until you have your strategies and mobile pages ready.

      The best domain names are:
      • short
      • memorable
      • easy to spell

      NOTE: you do NOT need a .mobi domain prior to the first class. You can build a mobile website without buying any domain and without having a hosting account. If you are unsure, wait until you complete class one.

      PREP-STEP 5

      There is a secret "rule" in building a mobile website that I'll reveal in the class. So that you are ready, get a small pack of 3x5 cards and have them handy.

      GOALS OF WEEK ONE

      • You will have a traffic-ready mobile site up and running.
      • If time permits this week (after class one), you should create a Mobile landing page for each product or service you sell.
      • If you have no products or if you are an affiliate marketer, you'll still need a mobile site and I'll show you in class how to monetize any mobile web page with ads.
      • Start a "traffic" driving campaign.
      • Begin Cross-Integration

        Tim - two quick questions:

        1) did he send that to everyone? Because I didn't get it...

        2) Is there any way you can pass on a message to Dan? I went to his website over a week ago from the webinar (searched for it lol) - you can't subscribe to his site because the opt in box returns an error.

        Meaning, he's losing subscribers.

    bar code question -- does one need a special app installed on one's phone for the bar code phenom to function? Or is any "smart phone" already smart enough to make it happen, automatically?

      its a free app. just look for "QR" (quick read). I'm not sure if it comes standard on some phones. I have a blackberry and I had to add it to mine, although mine isn't the newest (till January )

      Now that I think about it, my husband has the BB Torch, and there are parts that have it built in, I'm not sure if it is for all barcodes, but apparently now its there that you can add other users just by taking the pic of the barcode (my hubby's phone has this) - so maybe it is there automatically in the new ones?

    doesn't really matter that an app is free -- it's still another hoop the person is required to jump through, before they can participate -- severely reduces the 'opt in' rate, no?

    I have no doubt the mobile market is the future. I do everything on my Android phone, and I love it. To be honest, I don't really pay attention to the ads just like I don't pay attention to the ads on a regular website. But, that's just me. I've already read comments by experienced online marketers giving mobile an educated stab, and they lost $50, $150, $300 in the blink of an eye on AdMob promoting low-barrier CPA offers.

    I realize that text messaging is the other component of this training. But, anyone with a little business sense and some courage can approach their local pizza shop to sell them a service/consulting on how to build a txt list. If they can't understand how cool it would be to get customers in the door in a matter of minutes after sending a lunch coupon, then that's their loss.

    I'm not ready to spend $495 yet. If it were $97 and I didn't get the same support/mentoring, it wouldn't be a hard decision. The promotional seminars from Dan are extremely compelling, but a little too good to be true for me just yet. Maybe success has come very quickly for some because the mobile market is a new frontier, competition is extremely low, and they got a sprinkle of luck.

    While this all sounds very negative on my part, I will be anxiously looking forward to reviews, case studies, good articles on the topic, and a discount on the system later in 2011 when the hype dies down.

      According to a recent report published by Smaato:53% of their respondents "never saw an ad on their phone before.". On the other end of the spectrum: 16% have "engaged with an ad on their phone."

      I wish that all I have spent. But. A little past $500 and a light went on for me. Now into positive ROI.

          A whole lot of testing.

          I decided that to really make money at this that I needed to spend time "parting-out" the potential audience. Once I did that I killed all the ads that weren't working and went with the ones that did work.
          Then I applied the best ads to all the Mobile Ad Networks (MANs) I could find.
          Weird how someone in Dubai has almost the same likes as someone in Birmingham (Alabama that is...).
          The biggest problem I'm being faced with right now is neither money nor product to sell, it's time. But I think I'm on to how to fix that too...
