Who do you trust more?

We know how difficult it is to find decent objective reviews nowadays. However, there are still about 2 ways for the common internet user to find out about the real deal with a product.

The first approach is obviously look up forums, and see if anyone's had some experience with it. Another way is to seek recommendation from someone you hold in high esteem or trust.

So in terms of finding out whether a product is up to standard or not. Would you trust forum postings more than say suggestions from some top level internet marketer on their blogs?

Random forum posts or marketing guru's blog? Which do you trust more?

I prefer random posts... Why do I trust that method?

Simply because first: I follow my intuition, and only then I use my 'rational' mind.

Donald Trump is one person who also uses his intuition a lot. Even before talking to a lawyer or accountant.

By the way, Does anybody here trusts in "Seals"?

I use both. But I have find that blog posts work better for me, especially individuals who have spent some time building reputable online businesses. They will be careful to carry out a thorough review of a product before they post on their blogs. The reason is simple - they want to safeguard their reputation.

Posts I find in forums and blogs do influence me. People usually post all the bad experiences they've had with a product and/or service. If more than a handful of other people chime in with negative reviews, then it's a red flag for me
