    (From IMReportcard.com):

    Stay away !

I paid my $1, got debited with $47, got my account credited with the guaranteed $100 as soon as my account was opened. Strange, the guarantee only has to be met if you do not get $100 of sales in the first couple of days, so why not pay $100 AFTERWARDS.

Because David Michaels knows full well you are NOT going to get $100 of sales ? ? ?

My site got a couple of hits and 2 $20 sales and after 3 weeks that is my balance - $140 ($100 guarantee plus 2 x $20 "sales").

Accounts are controlled by David Michaels and you only get paid if your account passes $250.

Has anyone actually passed that $250 and got PAID, not just credited ?

I e-mailed David, saying his system was not delivering anywhere near what his advert boasted, and his response was that I was very fortunate to have made $40 in two weeks (at the time of contacvting him) and where else would I get such a fantastic return ! ! ! ! ! !

I pulled the plug and Clickbank refunded my payments, but my wasted time is the part that annoys.

Don't touch him with a bargepole is my advice.

I was just sent a link to this today from Shawn Casey. I had a look at the sales copy and was wondering how he was guaranteeing $100 after just 48 hours. Thanks to you tmccar I now know. Kinda sneaky that David Michaels doesn't let you withdraw your full amount until you have at least $250. If 10,000 people sign up for $1 (plus $47 by the sound of it) and each make him $40 in affiliate product sales before quitting then he will be making $400,000 even if ALL of his own product sales are refunded in full.

Big thank you to you tmccar!

I m starting to believe that Clickbank as well as vendors have discovered a new business model: Commissions based on REFUNDS. My understanding is that clickbank charges anywhere from $3 to $5 per refund so if the vendor collects $40 as per suggested by robfrancis it is a win win situation for Clickbank and the vendor.

That's an interesting concept. I've received Clickbank checks for thousands in the past when PPC was easier and more fun - so they have always been honorable in paying out. Not like Paypal freezing accounts left and right.

The $40 I mentioned was using tmccar as a typical example. Mathematically, this vendor David Michaels could hold on to up to $249 (as he doesn't pay out until $250 is made). I am in no position to say whether he is hoping people will continue or drop out before they reach $250.

I have had a merchant account previously and will be getting one again soon. When processing payments, refunds are one thing but charge-backs are another and can get very costly. Clickbank are huge and have a big turnover so I can't see them encouraging refunds because some disgruntled people may go immediately to Visa/Mastercard and cause a charge-back which is definitely something they don't want.

      Just my two cents,
      Rob Francis
