Angela's Links? Don't work for me.

I keep hearing how wonder Angela's links are. I've spent many hours building the links, and I've had them outsourced a couple of times too. Total, at least 6 months of link building, and I can't find that a single one has been indexed.

I have LOTS of links to a number of my sites, but I've looked carefully and cannot find a single one of Angela's links that are indexed.

Maybe her list gets abused so the site owners make all the profile links "no follow", but good blog posts work for me when Angela's profile links do not.

Your experience?

I don't think that's the point. The point is that not one of Angela's links have been indexed, and if that's the case, it would be useless to use whether he was using other linking methods or not.

Now Jay, How many of Angela's links have you tried to use?

We use it for all our sites and all of my clients, ofcourse some of them never get indexed, but few gets indexed and we do get ranking for lot of our keywords. So I don't have any doubt on Angela's Links.

They do work, but they can take time to get indexed. How long has it been?

Also, you can do things to help them get indexed faster.

Didn't really work for me either, but I may have been using them the wrong way too? Who knows. It was also a bit too labour intensive for me and its not something I wanted to spend my outsourcing funds on. From what I have read, it seems to work well for others though.

If you don't see them indexed, better get them indexed to see results.

It is rare because all the links I make (not Angela) egt indexed in time anyway.

    regards,

    Mike

Are you doing anything to get them indexed? Just sitting around waiting for it to happen isn't a good idea, which is a mistake many people make.

It seems the whole point of Angela's links is to get links from sites that are crawled by Google often, therefore it should not take "a long time" for the links to get indexed. What takes so long?

I don't want to spend time getting Google to pay attention to Angela's links. It defeats the whole purpose of using them. Hi PR sites should get indexed within days at the most so we should see the links quickly.

Again, from good blogs, I see the links get indexed overnight. I've had Angela's links up for months with no results.

I know she's done a lot to protect them recently so they don't get abused so much, but it has not produced better results for me. I've seen WSO's offering services that provide profile links, and I've bought profile links in the past (Angela's are profile links - they are in your profile when you register at a site), but it has been worht the money or time.

The sites she uses are high PR sites, so yeah they do get crawled pretty frequently. However, just because a site gets visited often by search engine spiders does not mean that every page gets indexed quickly or ever for that matter.

It doesn't take much work to get a higher percentage of them indexed. You can ping them, submit RSS feeds, build backlinks to them, etc.

What Ive found with most of these links is the profiles you place them on often have little to no foot print on the site.

It's hard for google to find the profiles because there are usually no links to the profile page itself, or if there is, it's only up in a small window of opportunity.

Like for example on the forums, they have a "recently registered members: user1, user2, user3"

That only stays like that for a few hours, so most of the times google doesnt find it. So what I do is comment on each of the sites somewhere my profile link will be placed so google can find the profile through another page on the site.

You can also RSS submit your profiles to get them indexed, Ive had a lot of success with that.

You can use a tool like Scrapebox to see if your links are indexed. Then you can take those and use a program like Backlinks Energizer, or the new hands off program Link Juice Maximizer to index them.

If I plan to index links I usually will sort them by PR first then just check the high PR links and see which ones are indexed. I take the non indexed ones and put them in LJM. LJM is really new so I have not seen the results yet with that one. But I know others have success with BLE>

    ^Thanks.

How do I do it without paid tools?? I have 50 profile links and I want to index them, so do I have to create 50 RSS feeds? I am confused about rss feeds. so please explain it.

Profile pages on forums usually have a PageRank of 0.

The Warrior Forum homepage has a PageRank of 3, the main discussion forum has a PageRank of 4.

      But my profile page at...

      warriorforum.com/members/oneplusone.html

      ...has a PageRank of 0.

If I were to put a link on my profile page to one of my sites, even with dofollow it would only be a PageRank 0 backlink.

Angela's backlinks are interesting and I subscribe to her, however it is important to understand reality.

While Google's algorithm might take into consideration the authority and PageRank of the domain, it is naive to think we are getting PageRank 4, 5, 6 etc backlinks from these backlink packets.

Angela has mentioned lots of times that she never checks or even cares whether the links get indexed or not. All you should care about is whether your keywords improve their ranking or not. If they do then the links are working...if they dont, then you need to create more links.

Google has the ability to see all the profile links...its just that google doesnt bother to index the links because they really serve no purpose to be indexed.

How are you testing the indexing part? Are you doing the site: query on your profile and see whether it shows up on the search results? If not then that is the first step missing.

Beyond that, what Daniel Brock said there is probably the best way to go. I would take it one step forward and say, participate in a discussion (make one post) that is on the first page of the thread on the forum, so that if something ever receives a page rank then your link will be a part of it.
