How fast are they are? If my speed is 60mb/s how much will it lower my speed serving through their VPN? Thanks..

I've tried quite a few different services and the one I've settled on is iVPN They are very focused on security and their tech support is the best I've used so I would definitely recommend them. StrongVPN is good too but I experienced some technical issues which they couldn't sort out.

I used the VPN service from Hide My Ass. Very reliable, no issues so far (3+ months). Has an option to randomly choose an IP from the 10 closest servers to your computer or change IPs whenever you want, all from the console application. Price is also very affordable.

What antivirus program do you use? I asked this because my antivirus "Trend micro" will not even allow me to visit the HMA site. So I can not even buy it.

Apparently I need to get a decent antivirus program that will allow the use of a vpn

Depends on what your going to use the VPN for. I use HideMyAss for my daily routine. For some marketing techniques like posting on Craigslist, you might run into some issues.

I like HMA too. Affordable plus a huge library of IP addresses, over 17,000 currently worldwide.

Hi,

This post was from year 2010. I don't know why you bumped it up.

This is year 2012. So things have largely changed and performance tested. Some VPNs became better and some dropped in performance badly.

I have a WF blog post here talking about the need for a VPN and another post here on how to choose one. Please take necessary precautions when choosing.

I have been using HMA for a very long time. Had some simple issues in between but overall they can get 4.5 star for their VPN service. I would recommend HMA.
