Ryan Deiss and www.mobilelocalfusion.com - Any reviews yet?

Hi guys,

Just got an email about this Mobile Local Fusion program and boy, sure seems like everyone is now in the local/mobile/social marketing game these days.

I don't have enough experience with Ryan to know what kind of products he puts out and I know even less about the woman he's partnering with here Laura Betterly's*|*Odds and Ends - but she was apparently known as the "spam queen" quite a few years ago which dosen't leave me with such a great feeling.

I'd love to know if anyone has purchased this or heard anything from someone you know who did.

Cheers,

Steve

I just came onto the forum to look for exactly the same thing. I started listening to Ryans sales pitch about 6 hours ago and he's still waffling, no sign of the price point yet. Yaaaawwwwwnnn

I also am very interested in a review about this. Local Marketing seems to be the big thing currently.

I'm also really interested to find out if there are up sells... I suspect there will be.

Also after finding out more. Obviously it trying to sell the idea of setting up a sort of consultancy for local businesses to hire you. Waffles on too much about nothing. Can't believe that people will pay between 2 and 5k for setting up and then, and this is interesting ... a huge monthly fee to keep updating ... updating what ... a pin in a map?

Well if you haven't purchased.... then that's not exactly true. I have an hour left still to finish, (On mod 6 out of 9), but unless you knew *everything*, then this doesn't "waffle on too much" about nothing.

Frankly while I did know a lot of it, there HAVE been things I've learned from it, and she certainly doesn't ramble on about nothing. It's very to the point and she throws in a few examples along the way.

People don't pay "between 2-5K and a huge monthly fee" to keep updating "a pin on a map".

If that's what you think, you entirely missed the purpose and ALL of the training and what she says to do.

The monthly upkeep has actually nothing to do with the "pin on a map".

I was on a webinar the other night of different product listed on this site, similar - it was the third webinar, but after the first about 15-20 min, the speaker went on and on and on....

(and on and on and on...) (did I say that enough??)

about simple html to get an autoresponder set up.

Okay, so I realize that people don't know how to do it all the time, but man, that was big $$$$ for a pretty much useless webinar to me. But the 2nd webinar had been worth everything, so I can't complain too much. After an hour and forty five minutes of that, I disconnected from the webinar.

BUT - For mobileLocalFusion, so far I haven't heard any "waffling" at all, maybe some people had already gone through and knew it, then obviously the course wasn't for them.

So - as I said, this week went a little crazy for me after my daughter was sick, so I am still going to come back and say a bit more after I finish through the last hour, but so far it's been pretty good, especially for someone newer to the concepts, I think they'd learn a lot.

Yup - was just going to say it's not too pricey and if you go to leave the page you get a "wait...don't go" bonus of a special magical postcard (that I thought from watching the video was included anyhow)

I found a few mentions of an upsell offer for Ryan's other products, but nothing regarding this particular product.

I am very impressed with Local Mobile Fusion. Laura breaks down everything and the dots are connected for me now. I know what she teaches work because even before I got the course, I was able to get two paying local business clients and earn $250 helping them get some basic online visibility. From these two clients alone, the cost of the course is pretty much free for me.

The cost is $97. There is an upsell for Rank Mogul and Lets Get Social but I didn't take them. There is a 60 day guarantee that you will make money with the course or get a refund with additional pay too. That alone is well worth the investment and to give it a try.

So far, Laura has had 1 live call. With all the additional resources provided for each module to help me grow locally, I feel confident in approaching more local businesses and securing more paying clients. Like everything else, you would need to take action to reap the full benefit.

I highly recommend it. Other gurus are charging a lot more for this kind of information but don't deliver the same amount of value.

    Milton

P.S. Not sure about Laura's past and not too crazy about it. I'm more motivated by the future of accomplishments and what needs to be done then worry about digging up other people's dirt. What you focus on expands. Also, a saying goes "where your attention goes, energy flows and the results show."

      I highly recommend it.
Of course you are going to highly recommend it when you are an affiliate for the program (at least that is how it appears with your sig) -- which is good -- you should believe in what you promote.

I am interested in this also, but would be curious for a more unbiased view...

So when did affiliate links in signatures become permissible on this forum????
I started to watch this video (not for long )- the email told me it was a "2 minute video".
The video goes on and on and on.........so even if I were going to buy this I wouldn't
buy it from the guy who sent me the link.

So the only messages so far I have received from anyone associated with this have been trying to hoodwink me one way or the other. That's enough for me to be very wary.
It would be nice to hear that this really is a great product.Hopefully we'll get an independent review soon from someone who has bought and is using the product.

Thanks for the additional comments guys!

Milton - I was rather enjoying and appreciative of your review there, until I saw your signature which more or less voids everything you just said for me anyhow. And Paul's correct that affiliate links are not allowed in signatures "(5) No Affiliate Links Allowed - Promote Your Own Domain/s Only. It's either this or we have to cut out sig files altogether which we do not want to do. " so I'd expect that it won't be around much longer.

@Dayne - Couldn't agree with you more about those long videos...especially when there are no controls to allow you to fast forward through a long drawn out sales pitch and they don't reveal the price until they're 5 minutes into the thing!

For those that have watched the sales pitch...do you know of any WSOs that might offer something similar?

          Thanks!

            Hi Steve,

I stand by what I said. I'll go back and review the sig file rules which I went through pretty fast. 60 days with a triple guarantee is definitely not something I have seen from any other product yet.

That video goes on and on and on. Ryan's videos tend to do this. He has yet to convince me to buy any of his products though...I just don't get a good feeling about the guy. But hey, that is just me. I'm not into the "gurus" like I once was.

Ryan Deiss's stuff is good, although I haven't bought this one. But just know, that the $97 is just a presell for a $297, then a $1997 program. It's what guys like Ryan Deiss do that are good - and I mean GOOD - at what they do.

    Best Regards,
    vip-ip ...

    P.S.:
one thing I am wondering, however, is what % of Laura's clients get pissed after they find out exactly what steps the smart agent took to list them on google, i.e., fill out a web form.

Not sure what you're talking about here.....

For the sake of speculation etc., (And although not much is new, but I am interested in this topic)... I joined and thought I'd answer for you guys.

So from a SIGN UP review, here it is:

(And NO affiliate links anywhere :p)

There are no $297 and $1997 upsells that I saw.

While the sales video doesn't bother me too much - (a little rambling) - but to me the most frustrating issue is definitely the "no ffwd/rewind". I missed part of a sentence he said in it due to an unexpected call, but had no way to rewind (and you can be DARN SURE I was not going to refresh to start over LOL).

You know, another warrior did something similar - I think it was a test Mario did for his Gplaces Unleashed product - but he had the *entire letter* load a minute or so after the intial start to the video. This is SO the best way to do this.

Why can't these guys do that for those of us who can very quicky skim/read and know whether we do/don't want it?? While I understand the "point" to video sales letters, I like both options presented to be honest.

What I found I did with Mario's, was set the video to play, but then I actually followed along in the letter even though I didn't have to. Just brought the points home more.

Anyway, I digress. Back to the Mobile Local Fusion:

Yes, if you even put your mouse up at the top, it thinks you're leaving and offers you the bonus "postcard". (More on that in a sec).

Once you pay - you are returned... and

      UGH I wanted to scream.

Upsell - but that WASN'T what made me want to scream.

It was the fact that I could NOT fast forward, I could NOT click "No thank you" because he has it timed that it doesn't appear till near the end of that.

The really ANNOYING part, is he completely discounted the fact that some of us might already HAVE the product presented - and he wasted oh, 10-15 min of my time while I had to let the stupid thing play long enough to give me the "no thanks" button.

(I lowered the volume, flipped over to my article approvals and did several while I waited for the low rambling to end LOL).

The upsell is: Social Media Manager Membership (Value $97) and Rank Mogul ($197) for a "deal" of $197. (Savings $97).

Obviously I said no because I have one of them and the other I wasn't interested in. (NOTE: He doesn't present them separately, it's a bundle choice - not that I would have done RM anyway).

Once you say "no", you're given another one time offer downsell - I think by this point though Ryan got the hint, because he has the next video where he's talking MUCH faster (not so laid back)... and the "no thanks" button stays right from the start. And figures, that was a very short video. (Oh why couldn't he have done that on the others??)

Anyway, the 'downsell' (I like how he did this) - he didn't undervalue the product by chopping off money that people would have paid in full for, which I thought was really good.

Instead, he left the price the same - but gave you 30 days before you would be charged the $197.

So - I'm finally in the members area after now close to an hour. (Had to pause the sales video a few times).

      In the members area:

There is a "Getting started" PDF, Video and MP3. I will assume the MP3 is the same as the video, just in a format that is downloadable. (The videos are right in the members area, so not downloadable).

      There are also 9 modules.

Here they are (times are noted from the mp3s, which was 2 seconds diff from the 1st video).

      Getting started: 37:21 min
      Module 1: 14 min
      Module 2: 23:51 min
      Module 3: 28:35 min
      Module 4: 25:01 min
      Module 5: 15:32 min
      Module 6: 18:48 min
      Module 7: 14:29 min
      Module 8: 13:27 min
      Module 9: 11:29 min

There was a bonus video in there at 7 minutes, but I'm not sure yet if this was the postcard or not. (Not clear).

So: Total of 3 3/4 hours, not including the 7 min bonus. (I did not check the size of the pdfs, but they're complimentary, not detailed from what it looks like. If you got the Social Media Manager course, they look the same).

There is a resource section with an additional 23 pdfs, of which I've seen several before. (Well, perhaps he's recreated them and called them the same).

For someone who has never seen any of them before, it's probably useful, there are lists of providers and directories, however they kept it down to about 10 providers (sms) and other directories.

My other resources provide me with over 100 providers and even more directories, so this won't be useful to me in anyway. But, if you don't know about them - and don't have other sources, then it would be good.

      As for the course itself:

I can't answer today - just got it so I'll be going through it this weekend. If I forget, prompt me for an update Monday.

I have to squeeze 4 hours out of my weekend for it LOL.

Hope this is helpful so far.

Just a thought on this... if you're talking about further soliciting for other courses, there's an easy solution, which I pretty much always do:

Unsubscribe the minute you get any further "new offers"

dimeco, he upsells you after the purchase, you won't see $297+ upsells right on the sales page.

If you have 1,000 clients who paid $97 for a product that really worked for all 100 buyers, half of them will be happy to pay $297 for an even better, "on-the-down-low" product. Half of THOSE can be upsold to, say, a $497 product. After that, you sign a few personal coaching clients at $2k, $6k, or even $10k+ and you're set.

vip-ip - yep, that's why I unsub I'm not a newbie, I make my own way, so I don't fall for the "hidden" stuff or coaching. I've done it ONCE in my 13 yrs online and that's it.

If they do it by phoning - I very specifically added to my order form comments area NOT to call me for solicitations etc., the phone # I supplied was for my order itself, so we'll see if they pay attention to what I wrote. (It's my cell - I don't answer it when I don't know who it is, and especially not out of my area-Canada doesn't have inexpensive North America calling on our cell phones like verizon has... oh how I miss verizon!)

I was using IE. Ended up calling their support and they took care of it right away.

I sat through most of the video, then gave up and did some web research and found this thread. My feeling is that the google local/mobile concept is very viable. I'm intrigued by the concept of getting locals listed on google local in a new and innovative way. But the methods of selling and overselling used here (i've got 5 emails on this from Ryan alone) is simply too much. I would love a more simple instructional program where we learn to help locals get listed and promoted, but maybe charge them a one time fee for the service. This way they don't feel ripped off. Am i off the mark on this? In any event, i will not buy this program, or any other GURUish program that pushes so hard.

He's always jumping on these newest "trends". Not too long ago he was pumping Facebook ads ( about 6 months too late ). I've seen lesser guru's pushing the local SEO stuff for over a year now. Now he's all over it. LOL

And of course it will eventually lead to another $2,000 upsell. That is how him, J.J., Filsaime, Walker, Pagan and Kern operate.

I agree 100%. I thought maybe I was the only one who thought this as well. To charge local businesses a monthly fee for the Google listing, to me, is such a scam and ripping them off. Does Ryan not feel any guilt about this? I doubt it. Seems like he is all about the money. But once again, that is just my opinion.

It's sad, there were many gurus who I once admired but don't any longer simply because they seem so money hungry, scam like, etc.

The only guy I really admire now is Pat from the Smart Passive Income blog. He is very transparent, and is really down to earth. He doesn't clog your email box or upsell you like crazy, etc, etc. Great guy, I wish many of the "big" gurus would follow in his footsteps.

I'm not sure if charging monthly fees for a google local listing is rip off or not. It depends on many factors, including how they design their offer. If a local listing gets them top 10 rankings and lots of new customers and then they make much more money than they are paying monthly from new customers, why would that be a scam or ripoff? If the deal is "I'll make sure you are in page 1 for these local searches, and do whatever it takes to make it happen, and I'll charge $x up front + $y monthly for maintanence for that" I think that would be a fair and square deal. And that sometimes can be achieved just by listing in google places.

The price is what they pay, the value is what they get. If the value is greater than price, than that's a good deal.

Just a note, I did watch the whole video - (and have the course - going through it today) - I gathered that you *show* companies how to grab their free places listing, but sell them beyond that.

    Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd comment on some false statements here.

First of all, I'm not affiliated with this product in anyway (didn't even promote it) but am good friends with Perry and Ryan who are both two very down to earth guys who care deeply about the success of their customers (it is what has built their success after all).

It's no secret that sales funnels these days for most "guru" products are insane. I've been watching Clickbank products with five upsells ranging from $67 to $10,000 happen for months now.

You will NOT be sold anything over $197 as an upsell or downsell. And the "buyers" list you are entered onto (so you can find out about weekly calls, etc) will promote what Ryan's main list does.

Only products of Ryan's that come to mind over $1,997 are PTF and Continuity Blueprint. Both of which aren't being sold anymore and both of which you will not hear a peep about. There are no high end coaching programs, etc.

Ryan is one of the few "good guys", in my opinion, that doesn't extort as much money as he possibly can from individuals. Any product priced at $97 could easily sell for ten times more.

And yes, I am qualified to talk about Ryan's downline. I manage the buyers list of a product done in the same format as this one and know exactly what's being promoted to my buyers (same will apply to other buyer lists).

I realize this is semi-offtopic since this isn't a review for the product. But when threads get derailed a bit it's important to give the facts (not opinions that high-priced upsells are going to be shoved down your throat).

    Cheers,

      Hi guys,

Thanks for review of this product. I learned more about this product from this thread than listening to the sales video.

Now, I want to give you a few tips about I handle such video sales pages.

First, I record the video using firefox and ant video download plugin. So I can view it offline, again etc...

Second, I just discovered that when you try to close the page, a popup appears and it gives you a bonus and takes you to the order page directly.

I also do that to see discounts/downsells the seller offers with other sites...

I hope it helps, I see many people complaining about long video sales letters on this thread, so I thought I should share these little tips...

I have Ant Video, and have was able to download the sales pitch video. Unfortunately, you cannot download the training videos. The "Download" button is grayed out.

Does anyone know any way around this? The videos on the training pages use "CloudPlayerPro", which is supposed to add secure video to Wordpress sites.

        Thanks

          Assumption removed.

I have all of the videos, I was able to download them.

            Correction...

I downloaded the mp3 - not the videos.

If you have the membership (PAID), then simply download the MP3 and the pdf, and look at it at the same time. There's nothing different visually.

And, by the way, MLF was amazingly RE-opened. I got an email 2 days ago from "Preston Ely" and bought it. Many of these gurus use this false scarcity to increase sales. They'll probably shut it down in a few days, then launch it again a few days later. Great strategy?

Here is the link he sent me in the email. Whaddya know, it still works: Whoops ... Google Did it Again

Well unfortunately that doesn't surprise me.

I admit - (and yes, I did buy this course) - that I HATE HATE HATE when they say its going to be pulled, then they reopen it after just a few days.

At least in the past, when this happened it would be like 6 months down the road and ONLY to those who put themselves on the "next in line" list for when refunds happen and a spot opens up.

Sorry, but this does kill credibility on occasion.

                  Hey everyone,

I have to toss in a few cents here (yes, I paid the $97 for this profuct) - I have read a lot of pros and cons, but you really have to step back and weigh everything before purchasing a product.

Let me preface my comments by saying that I am usually skeptical of programs like these, and I typically Google around as well as look here to the WF for guidance. This thread was opened with the intent of validation - to the positive or negative. There's been a lot of jabber about stuff not related to MLF, and let me ask you all - what's more annoying - sitting through a 10 minute sales pitch with no way of seeking the end? Or reading through a forum post hoping to get answers you seek, and instead having to spend 20 minutes sifting through the garbage to weed out the useful comments?

Okay....enough of my own rant. Back to the topic....

Let's remember what the core idea behind MLF is - selling a service to small businesses. These folks don't have time on their hands to SEO themeselves, let alone do it properly. They don't have time to figure out all the steps they need to do to properly list themselves in Google. These folks are owners who are usually also workers - or just plain businesspeople.

Having looked through many of the modules and sitting in on a few of Laura's weekly calls, I can say that I am not certain I buy into the full concept of MLF - when you pay $97 for a program, you would hope to have some kind of blueprint in place that not only describes the concept of the program, but gives you some kind of running start. So far, I have yet to get that out of MLF - but I will also say, I have yet to really devote time to sink all of this in.

I think at the end of the day, you are presented with an intriguing concept. You could easily go to small businesses, show them how to get listed in Google places, how to improve their initial listing, and get them in your door as a client. You can then learn new tricks and techniques to sell them further - the big selling point here is personalized, local service at a price significantly cheaper than the major companies out there.

I have always believed, if you can make yourself valuable as a consultant, and prove your worth with each sale, you can sell your clients on anything, no matter what the price tag is.

My last point: The triple guarantee. In my opinion, this was worth the risk. What I would be curious to see, is in the next 30-60 days, how many folks come in here to talk about their experience executing the guarantee. That should settle the debate about Ryan's credibility as a legitimate marketer. Laura's past? Forget it. We all went through a day and an age where we spammed folks in some way - but once a law was created, funny how we all stoppped - and companies like Traffic Wave and AWeber were born.

I would personally be interested in hearing from Warriors who have tried to implement MLF in some way or form - both success stories or failures. I am a Libra after all, so I believe in balance (I should have been a judge!).

                  Cheers,
                  Brian

OK Guys and Gals... Here's the truth about Ryan Deiss

AND an inside tip about Ryan that will save you $

        Full Disclosure
I have been a paying client of his for over 2 years (am NOT an affiliate)

Like most of us... He is a marketer. I've sold information products for
the past 15 years and like Ryan, most of the time I get it right.

Sometimes we don't. We send too many emails or we "over hype"
a product. I don't know what happened with his old partner Perry
Belcher, but I do know that over the years some of the decent people I've joint ventured with ended up in hot water for various reasons.

Marketers are people and people make mistakes sometimes.

Ryan's courses have been well worth the money I've invested because
a few of us in my mastermind group help each other to implement and
test to find out what really works and what doesn't. We help to hold
each other accountable so that the ideas actually make us money instead of just "sitting on the shelf".

Most of Ryan's ideas work quite well.. I've made money and avoided
frustration by following his training. Some of his ideas did not work
very well for me. Everything I've implemented has taken effort, Ryan
doesn't have the magic wand that all of us (and our clients) are hoping
        for.

It's pretty funny to hear a few folks complaining about his video sales
letter "with no controls" when I've used that same tool (which Ryan taught me how to use) to be able to sell online and stay home rather than travel and do live seminars 2 or 3 times a month. Thank You Ryan for helping me to get my life back : )

Here's the $ saving tip I promised you:
Ryan said in his training that when someone asks to quit his monthly
continuity program his staff offers the same program at 1/2 price. I followed Ryan's advice to get his total access club at 50% off. It's the
only continuty program I've stayed with, ever. I don't know if you could
get away with the same deal on a straight digital purchase or not...

I can't vouch for latest local search course because I don't have it. (yet)
What I do know is that if you are worried about a $97 expense then it's high time that changes. Do what ever it takes to "get it in gear" and roll in some dough in 2011.

Merry Christmas to you as a fellow marketer and thanks for sharing your thoughts in this forum.

A couple of quick thoughts on the tone of this thread. If anyone thinks charging monthly for a Google places ad is a rip-off, does not know the market. These businesses pay phone books about 5 to 10 thousand per year for something no one uses anymore. Plus it is a write off as a business expense.
Also, I don't see how anyone complains on this forum or thread about marketing practices of people making more money than them. Even if I am not going to buy a product I study how they market. What was the ad copy, squeeze page, headline, hot buttons, etc. If you are complaining that people are getting money from their advertising methods, whether you like it or not, is very short sighted.
BTW, not a fan of Deiss. The woman's history does scare me. I may get though, because the price is very good and I already do some offline work.

Very true. In my opinion, this is what separates "real" marketers, from traditional internet marketers. (Or people making money online in general, but referring to it as internet marketing)

It depends on how much value you provide, and how much they are willing to pay.
It even has it's own term in marketing as a pricing structure.

The same goes for infoproducts. How do people price them? How do you estimate the value of information? In many online cases you pay $97 for a FILE you can read. It has very little to do with how much it cost to produce, and once the cost is covered, it's hands off income for the owner.

Also, it also have a lot to do with perceived value. If you only want $50 to list someone in google, business owners might feel it will bring them little value, or is a scam, since it's too good to be true. Even though it's only 15 minutes of work from your side.

Same goes for infoproducts. The info you find in free, or $7 ebook's is perceived as less valuable than what you find in a $97 report, which might make you take action on the $97 product, and NOT on the $7 one because you think it's less worth. (If you take action at all, that is)

I hope people see where I'm going with this...

              Hi all

OK I got the email about this course, and went to the website. Afterwords as I am want to do, I came here to find any comments about this course. Here are my thoughts on my experience.

As far as the promotional website goes, I didn't like the fact it was a long video, with no controls on fast forwarding to the end or anything. I am used to long sales letters that I can skim and find the bottom like price. Fortunately I have the Enounce tool that can make videos go faster (up to 3 times faster) and so I didn't have to waste that much time to get to the bottom line.

I also didn't like the fact there was no FAQ section or way I can email Ryan to ask questions I have about the course. It's like you buy it and take your chances, and get a refund if you don't like it.

And there are red flags for me nowadays with any sales letter; I avoid any that use the word "killer" anywhere. So if any of you wanna sell me something, don't use that word. Please.

I know I shouldn't base a product on a sales letter, or in this case video. But I don't like being treated like the person is trying to sell me something, if you know what I mean. If the thing is so great, let it sell itself. Let me see its merits, let me see testimonials from people I trust, let me see a FAQ section or blog where I can ask a question. Otherwise it's like "hey I'm Ryan Deiss so trust me and buy this and you don't like it, ask for a refund". No I don't work that way, anymore.

I also don't like any promotions anymore where the minute I move my mouse towards the Close button, a popup comes up pleading with me to stay. Do sales letters (or videos) have to keep using these tricks? I didn't even get to the upsells, thank goodness don't get me started on those. At least there was no opt-in (or did I miss that too?).

              Thanks for reading.

Wow... I read this whole thread hoping for a review. The only guy who gave a review was bashed to hell for an affiliate link in his sig. One other person was helpful in outlining his entire sales process.

And then 25 more posts of mostly complaining... of which I think...

Those who have problems with upsells (at any price) are those who have never had success with using them.

Those who want video sales letters to be different than they are, are those who don't understand the intricacies that make them effective.

Those who complain that Ryan just wants to make money and don't trust him are those who don't have the ability to differentiate between quality products and take advantage of a money-back guarantee.

Is it not clear what this thread is for? REVIEWS of the product.

I will say that I have been vocal about Ryan's products before. Some of them I love, some of them I don't, and some of them I won't buy. And some of them have made a drastic difference in my income.

I also have been an affiliate for his products before and refunds are generally non-existant.

If I was interested in doing this kind of work and I currently wasn't having bandwidth issues, this is a product I would buy and review here. I came on here looking for reviews so I could decide whether to promote it.

    That's my 2 cents.

I will never, ever understand the mentality of marketers who complain about another marketer making that dirty thing called a profit.

What are we in for when MARKETERS are decrying the concept of PROFIT?!?!?

"Ryan just wants to make a profit."

Well no ****SHERLOCK!! Did he start using Easter Seals logo on his business cards? He's not a non-profit, he's running a BUSINESS.

This goofy Warrior Forum IM bizop chintz crowd is something else... I suspect that it's because most of the people who do the complaining are brokeazz jokes who want something for nothing.

Anywhere there is a business, and anywhere there are cell phones yes, you can apply it to wherever you are. (Actually, a lot of other countries are further ahead of us in North America and have much more cell phone saturation).

I wouldn't worry too much about the "spam queen" part - when I first came online (1997), the first book I read about marketing on the internet was from people who spammed like crazy, it's how they made their $ because it was a "new frontier".

Personally it's not something I ever did and I detest spam - but heck, even some of the gooroos here have sold our email addresses AND I know of another one who also bought them. (As recent as just a few years ago).

So she isn't the only one - and the fact that she learned eventually it wasn't worth it, she changed her strategy.

I got through part of it last night, intended to get through the rest this morning, but my daughter came down with the flu at 2 a.m. and was sick every 20 min thru to around 9ish this morning... needless to say I ended up going to get some sleep instead of watching the rest of the videos.

Will be finishing this afternoon though as she's doing better.

I have seen the entire sales video (Almost twice, lol!), and I love the concept.
This is not about ripping people off. It's even a dedicated "module" about how you get your clients more customers, as well as another dedicated module to teach you how to overdeliver.

This course is obviously about building a real, long-term business. And even if you don't follow the course, it seems you will learn many other things about "real" marketing, customer satisfaction and loyalty, as well as how to manage your clients and business.

It really looks like a complete product, and I'm eager to join. - And I most likely will, when I have the money, and if I don't see several negative reviews here.

One thing to keep in mind....this lady works in Tampa, which is a pretty large city. What works there may not work for you...especially if you live in the middle of nowhere, or some small town that doesn't have enough local web searches to justify what you're selling.

Well, it's not so easy to trust someone I don't know, and since a money back guarantee is only as good as the person making the offer, thats why I asked about reviews and preferably, unbiased ones from people who don't have a financial interest in the product.

Just a guess really, but I bet she doesn't do all her business in Tampa and I think as long as you can do the work and get results for clients, there's no reason you couldn't take care of clients all over the country.

Thanks to everyone for your comments!

I completely agree with that. And if she's using postcards and referrals as a part of her marketing strategy, she'll be able to get business everywhere.

If 2 people with different mindsets live in the same little village, and buy the course, one will think "It's impossible, my village is too small. It won't work for me." and the other will think "Heck, if I focus on building good relationships with my clients, I will get loads of referrals and succeed". And guess what, they'll both be right...

It seems this course focuses on upward migration, combined with getting referrals, which I personally think is the best, most long-term business modell.

i canæt wait to hear more reviews, as well as most likely buying it myself and implementing it.

I've been through two of the modules and everything to this point is legit. Ryan rarely prices anything around $100, so maybe this is why people are so skeptical. Spend the measly $97 and try the course out. Whether the course is good or bad, you'll learn something, so stop moaning and take action.

      Dex

Well put. Don't think I could have said it any better myself.

[Full disclosure] I've promoted quite a few of Ryan's programs in the past. Over all, his stuff is as good as if not better than 90% of the WSO I've bought. That's not always the case, but more often than not.

Interestingly enough, my usual Sunday traffic is around 75-100 visits but this Sunday (12-19-10) after a blog post on Mobile Local Fusion, I was glad it bump to 355 visits and my blog got ranked on Google Page 1 for Mobile Local Fusion and it only took 18 hours to get this page 1 rank.

I "cheated" a little by capitalizing on the TRENDING action and BUZZ Mobile Local Fusion has stirred up in the IM forums etc., but that's no sin and no black hat crap, so I figure, why not take advantage of the trend/buzz on Mobile Local Fusion and steal a little fringe traffic and hey, the few affiliate sales that are on the books in < 24 hours beats a sharp poke in the eye.

In my opinion, forcing visitors to watch the entire video is a really good sales trick. Though being immensely annoying, I still watched it.

The video itself was extremely well-made in my opinion, and it made it incredibly legit in my eyes. I personally very often just skim down to the bottom to see the price, but it wasn't possible in this video. (Though I knew the price from the pop-up before I finished watching it)

So all in all, the sales pitch seemed very credible in my opinion, since he didn't use many of the "standard" phrases and gimmics. I'm personally allergic to the sentence "An entire turnkey business" and "all you need is a few mouseclicks".

He even said it would involve serious work, and that it was far from a get rich quick business modell. - Though still being easy

Since Mobile Local Fusion is now Closed to new members, this may be a moot point (but) has anyone in this thread taken a look at Mobile Success Formula and compared these two seemingly similar Mobile Local Training programs?

If the old adage "you get what you pay for" holds any water, the conclusion is pretty obvious but the devil is in the details.

I've got both courses. They aren't entirely the same.

Mobile Local Fusion goes into a lot of GPlaces stuff, as "well" as mobile, however Mobile success Formula goes focused on mobile. He does discuss some social networking stuff (like foursquare etc) but from the mobile aspect.

From that standpoint, Dan covered a lot more resources wise, but there were things that Laura covered too that Dan hasn't.

I'm still a little behind on finishing, but down to 1 hr left. (the last 4 modules I think).

Hoping to have them done by lunch tomorrow as I'm on a web conference tonight.

        Amber,

If I were you, I would rather spend my time implementing what you have just learned and start building relationships with local businesses than spending endless hours here giving reviews.

        To others:

People either get it or they don't. If someone is giving you a 60 days guarantee that YOU WILL MAKE A PROFIT with MLF or get a full refund and more, then it's a no-brainer. You could recover your investment with just 1 paying client.

I meant Ryan already said there are 3 types of people: 1) Those that take action 2) Those that Wait 3) Those that Wondered What Happened.

So what about the sales process? Did you just started internet marketing yesterday? Gee whiz.

        Here's the actual guarantee.

Hey Milton, for the record - I do take action, so please don't suggest that I'm not. I already have a few four figure a month clients plus my own other business, so I'm definitely not "in need" if that's what you think. (I've been on here from the time Allen started this website, what, 10 yrs ago or more??)

"Spending less giving reviews" is a little unfair of a remark.

That IS the purpose of this thread, in fact this entire section, or did you not perhaps realize that?? It IS for people's reviews so that others can get legitimate comments from other people than just affiliates.

I'm not knocking you at all - I recognize you made a legitimate review of your own... but I am NOT an affiliate of Ryan's, and I don't recommend things based on being an affiliate OR NOT.

I ONLY put my name as a recommendation (without any compensation 99.9% of the time), if I REALLY feel its worth doing.

And if its crap, I'll call it that, or I won't even bother to answer, which happens on most of the WSO's I buy too.

People asked for reviews - it's my contribution to the forum to answer when I can. And the fact that I HAVE been working online, full time successfully with high five and 6 figure incomes since 1997, I think qualifies me to give those answers when people ask for someone who ISN'T an affiliate.

But absolutely, sometimes you just need to take action.

However, with times the way they are for some people, to spend the hours (in this case almost 4) going through the material, only to find that maybe it wasn't worth it to them... then to have to wait for a refund.... (or lose the $ if they don't)... I can understand why they would ask.

And, with a lot of garbage out there that is rehashed or hyped from many of the same people, it's sometimes hard to decipher the good from the bad.

People have a right to ask for an opinion - and usually they want much more than one or two people's opinions.

I've used the support desk of theirs twice and had responses fairly quick. Well, not as quick as same day, but one I sent by email was replied to in under 48 hours, and the other was their ticketing system, and it was probably about the same.

Perhaps if its answered in the course they may not have answered?

Do you still have a link to the WSO?

I want some more info on this.

From my experience in offering SEO services for small businesses, once some of them get the first page rank, they want - they usually cancel whatever contract they have because they believe they don't need you anymore.

The thought of acquiring new customers all the time to keep a steady income is not really worth the hassle in my own opinion.

I will rather drive the traffic to an affiliate offer if I can because once all the hard work is done and one is able to get some conversion, it will stay that way until Big G decides to do their dance.

You know what I find utterly hilarious is that the SAME people are in here dumping on Kern, Filsame, and Diess ... starting to wonder if they're plants by the anti-kern group. The other thing I find funny is a few have some of the cheesiest sites I've ever seen and don't even remotely make as much money. Yeah folks, we're here to make money! Not at any cost or scam etc. but at the end of the day that's what we're here to do. IF I like a product I promote it or talk about it, doesn't matter what "circle a person is in", could care less, as long as I am making money from my investments (which products are)...

For the record, Ryan is in facebook quite frequently and actually interacts with his fan page members, he listens to them, gets their feedback and acknowledges it (which is a heck of a lot more than I can say for some)... same with Frank, I've PM'd him many times and he always answers... maybe for some, they spot potential of true success and some they do not, which is why they choose to interact or not interact ... after all if you're here spouting about how crappy someone's products are every day and being negative, is that someone you really see succeeding online? I highly doubt it.

  • I just recently got it. Haven't really had the chance to look it over, but I have gone through some of the first module PDfs and they are quick and to the point. I like where they're going with this because it's not just about local seo, it's also setting them up for mobile which is becoming huge. I've gotten a few other courses (including Mario Brown's G Places Unleashed, which is good in itself) but they only talk about local seo stuff, and not so much on mobile or getting a ton of clients. For the price you get good, to the point content.

I have just ventured in to the local business leads niche and am now looking for more in depth training on the subject. Ryan's new product sounds impressive so far.

I really appreciate the time and effort that Amber aka. Dimeco has given to this thread.
And thanks to all the others too.

Here is my first local lead site I have set up. After getting indexed, it shot up to page two of google on the main search phrase. You can see I just use a wordpress theme. The next step is to get to #1 on maps and oganic search.

  • I bought this product last week and I think that it is really good.

Yes the squeeze page is rambling and annoying (particularly after being told it was only a 2 minute video in the email I got!) but it was worth seeing it through!

Didn't bother with the 2 upsells because I don't think they are necessary at this point.

The course itself is very comprehensive and for $97 Laura certainly over delivers. As well as the videos there are loads of document templates and other resources that truly make this a 'business-in-a-box' product. Also the first coaching call was 3 hours long! This gives a good indication of Laura's commitment.

I too read some less than flattering things about Laura when I Googled her but I prefer to judge people as I find them and on this product she is great value.

Would definitely recommend it... and no I'm not an affiliate!

    Hope this helps

I went ahead and got this as this fits into the business model I want to pursue in 2011.

Getting past the rambling marketing videos, when you actually get to the course, it is very good.

It does a very good job of giving you the overview of the business and what can be done, and then there are detailed videos on the little things that fit together for the bigger whole.

I'm actually pretty impressed with it. I've gone through about 3/4 of all the videos so far.

I haven't been on any training calls yet, but if one can get their questions answered there, then this is really a very thorough course.

And I'm not an affiliate or anything, I just got it to pursue the ideas...

Thanks Amber, Neil, Dan and the others who have shared their comments about this which seem to be mostly favorable.

Can't believe this is being pulled so soon after it was released, but something tells me I may just jump on board myself and put it to the test here.

    Thanks again everyone!

LOL. Either that or he "relaunches" it *for a limited time only* a few days later.

I got smart and bought MobileLocalFusion just before the deadline.

I am very glad that I did.

I'm almost to the end of the videos and I have to say the entire program is a breath of fresh air.

I did fall asleep part way through the sales video, but I had already seen enough to know that I should get this program. (My attention span for sales videos in general is down to about 2 minutes now.)

The actual videos in the program are very to-the-point, no wasted verbiage. And, you can tell that Laura speaks from a position of expertise on how to actually work this business.

It presents an overview and then details of each phase of what one needs to do to start your local marketing business, or add the Google Places and other mobile marketing strategies to your existing business.

I had already been working on a mobile marketing plan, but this gives me a wonderful way to start with clients, adding the mobile marketing part later if they want it.

The program has triggered a lot of brainstorms about how I'm going to proceed, who to contact first, etc.

This is about a real business, offering real services that can help a local business prosper, with no "mind tricks" necessary to sell the service.

I felt it was worth it.

Still have like 2 lessons to go (was away for the past few days and didn't let myself work really as I was visiting family)... just got back tonight so I'll finish tomorrow hopefully.

However, I definitely feel it was worth it.

In addition to the content, which she is very detailed on, there are contracts and other documents that alone are worth far more than the cost.

I did not buy the upsells as I think I mentioned.

One thing I thought was a little humorous about this program... Actually, at first it irritated me, but then I guess I got used to it and just laughed.

In the first 5 videos (main ones, haven't looked at many of the supplementals/expanded yet), Laura calls it "Local Mobile Fusion"... which of course its called "Mobile Local Fusion".

In video 6, she realized it right at the start and corrected herself...

And in video 6B and 7, she goofed up again and reversed the words Stupid, but after I got past the annoyance I thought it comical.

Anyway, YES I think it's worth it.

Well, I'm sure that this particular method is not for everyone but I did purchase this program and I love it!

I was already creating Google Place Pages for offline clients but this definitely took it to the next level and is helping me get more clients.

Yes, you do have to keep filling the pipeline but it's not all about just providing ongoing SEO services either so there are some services that you can charge for in an ongoing continuity program for your clients that they would want and need. It's just like most methods though, relationships are king.

The support is terrific. Laura has actually been doing a teleseminar for 3 hrs. each week to answer questions. It' great.

I'm not promoting as an affiliate right now because I'm too busy focusing on my offline clients but I do recommend this course if you are interested in providing services and helping offline clients.

I don't even know if it's still available right now.

    Cheers!

I just had to step in on that comment as well - Laura spends 3 hours every week fielding calls from folks, patiently answering questions, and spending her most valuable time handling the easy and the tough questions.

I know many folks are skeptical, given her history, and maybe you could learn this on your own - however, what you are getting for $97 is as complete a new business as you could possibly have, that you can start promoting from Day 1, and prospecting clients almost right away.

I'm not promoting the program either, as an affiliate, as I am learning the whole system. But I can assure you, the value of what you learn, even if you deviate and do your own thing - is far cheaper than what you would pay many of those gurus out there. I've spent a lot more than $97 on failed programs, and I only choose ones where the success is clearly evident and there are real people out there not only talking the talk, but walking the walk.

I am still cautious about the program, but I am warming up more and more each day I learn something about it.

I have been in on the product for about 5 weeks now, I cant say it's a bad product, maybe a little vague, but it definitely gives you the foundation, and I have not received any support what so ever outside of the coaching calls, which I shouldn't have to get on in order to get some questions answered. I have e-mailed, and used the support desk, and NOTHING. A real pet peeve of mine. Erks me good!

Okay, you really need to put your comments into perspective. Think about how many people have bought this product. Think about how many people are trying to implement this business. Think about how many questions each PERSON has - and multiply that by hundreds, if not thousands. Is it any wonder that 1-2 people can't possibly answer all of these questions?

Laura does 3 hour weekly calls where people can get their questions in - and sometimes not everyone gets their questions in. Bless her soul for taking that on! Imagine how much work and money she could make in that 3 hours, how much she is sacrificing because she cares about other people's success?

Look people, it is easy to bash and be critics of any program, not just this one. It is more difficult to get this program going and get everything in place to successfully run the business. So why doesn't anyone and everyone who wants to put energy into bashing and naysaying turn that negative energy into something positive....like building your own business?

Action is what produces results. Negativity produces nothing.....except showing who wants to be in the 97% group who fail. You will never get rich quick overnight. You will never become successful if you don't invest time and effort. MLF requires just that: time and effort. If you don't have time and are unwilling to invest the effort to make the program work, how can you have time to sit here and bash people and the program?
