I am looking for a good course on promoting physical products via Amazon and other affiliate sites.

Can anyone recommend a good course?

cheers

Jan Roos Has a good course here on the WF. I had already experieinced some decent success with Amazon but am always interested in learning things from others who are successful so I went ahead and got it. If you're a newbie to Amazon then his course is really good since it shows you step by step from picking which products to promote to setting up your sites.

Jenn Dize has a course over in the WSO section and it is very good. It is a 14 day course and I am on day 13. She is very responsive when you ask her questions and has a way of motivating you.

I am ranked for most of the keywords I am targeting. One of the keywords is at # 6 on Google the rest are on page 2.

Personally I found the Amazonian Profit plan to actually help me get my Amazon earnings up quite a lot. True, quite tedious to write long and high quality reviews (not Amazon rehashed ones) but once the page is up, it's a winner. The girls even have an entire template on how to do the actual review, disected and analyzed. I found it quite good. But I don't think they have a WSO for it right now, and it's rather steep in price, granted.

I'm a big fan of Dan Brock's Deadbeat Super Affiliate. I was making a handful of dollars here and there until I followed his course and now I'm making consistent commissions.

I have heard REALLY good things about Dan Brock's course and I am considering getting that one as soon as I can "clear my plate". At the moment I am busy with another project.

I've seen most of the courses already mentioned above, and you really can't go wrong with any of them.

If I had to suggest just one course to someone who was new to the amazon associate program, I'd suggest Michael Franklin's WSO. It's a 14 step coaching program, and narrowly edges out the other courses because it's interactive coaching instead of just instructions to work through by yourself. I think that getting feedback from a coach will cut the learning curve dramatically.

Why do you need a 'guide' just for amazon?

Ranking for amazon products is no different than optimizing for any other keyword out there.

My advice would be to learn as much as you can about SEO.

Ranking for products on amazon is no different than ranking for products on commission junction, ebay, clickbank or anything else.

Honest, I see no reason to buy an 'amazon' focused course, it's still the same as any other method of optimizing for product names.

I personally read a guide last year on Amazon and it really helped take my sales to another level.
There were little tips the guide provided on best practices with Amazon, that come from their experimentation that saved me a lot of time figuring them out myself.

Even if you are experienced at SEO reading a guide from someone who has been there done that will often knock off a lot of the learning curve and give that extra info. that can help jump you to higher earning power faster. It certainly did for me.

You could get a lot of information just by doing a google search for 'how to seo'. You only need really basic knowledge to get going really.

You really can't go far wrong with Justin Brooke's SEO Lies course, its only $10, I bought it the other day and was blown away!

It literally takes you from A-Z of everything, and is very easy to understand - I thought he must have missed a '0' off the price! Really recommend it, and not just for newbies either, gives you the whole spectrum and has keyword research to boot!

        Hope that helps!

Dan Brock's Deadbeat Super Affiliate Course is alright. But Dan's style of presentation is poor.

He tends to rush through much of the material, as if he's just trying to finish an unpleasant task as soon as possible. This is reflected in his rather indifferent and distracted attitude. At times, I feel he is also somewhat condescending, as for example when he bangs a hollow tube repeatedly while he talks. And, he continually makes typing errors which he has to go back and correct.

Besides the videos, there is some text which helps to clarify the video presentations.

Overall there is a lot of info presented throughout the program (so it's a good resource), and for the price, it's worth it. I just wish someone else was actually making the presentations.

And he'll try to upsell you some expensive and unnecessary products.

If you get on his mailing list, you'll find mostly a bunch of overpriced junk products being promoted, but there is the occasional worthwhile webinar.

I have purchased courses and am looking to invest in another soon. Good thing is there are a few people out there doing well at making an income out of Amazon and they are prepared to share how they do it. I would recommend buying 2 possibly 3 courses, studying them intently and then taking action. Why 2 or 3? Well then you can get a better perspective on what really works and you will get a more objective overview of making money this way.

Some Amazon products I recommend to you:

    Dan Brock's Deadbeat Super Affiliate
    Sara Young's Easy Paycheck Formula
    Jan Roos's Physical Affiliate
    PaulaW's Amazonian Profit Plan
Chris Guthrie's Niche Profit Course (I think that is what it's called)

I have the previous versions of the former two, but the other three I don't have, but judging by the reviews I can still recommend them.

Support is actually there within a couple of days and she has a method of beefing things up to earn more once you have got the hang of things.

The keyword research part of her course is excellent - methods I hadn't seen before.

I've been selling on Amazon for the last year and around June/July I started to see some real payoff for what I was doing. I've actually been working on a course of my own and would be more than willing to give it to a few people just for some feedback.

It's not for sale anywhere so this isn't a pitch. I have 5 copies I'm willing to give away as long as you keep in mind it's still a work in progress. It's all about selling Physical Products on Amazon.

Ive read Dan Brock's course and liked it.

I've also read the Amazonian Profit plan and liked it a little bit more. The whole point in this course is to give the readers something helpful, hopefully unique, with your own sense of style and maybe even some humor thrown in. As in..oh..that's the kind of info I wanted to see!
And that means more than just re-phrasing the merchant info for an item. Yes it's sort of a pain to go into such depth for a review...but people know when you take the extra time and care with your content and they appreciate it. They're so used to all the run of the mill BS out there.

Dan Brock is a great place to start, the info he shares isn't that different to the Amazonian Profit Plan but it's cheaper.

After following dan's course last summer I actually started making money with Amazon, I then spent a few months testing different methods and refining my own strategy which I now follow and am having success with.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is it doesn't matter which course you take as long as you take action and add your own twist to things.

Oh, you know, I forgot to mention that the Amazonian profit Plan course was a little bit light on the SEO aspect of building sites, whereas Dan Brock's course is more complete in that regard...and yes, it is more affordable. It might be the better choice for a person who needs more complete info.

I purchased Jan Roos' program in the beginning so got it at just $17. It's a good system and he has lots of videos that teach you a lot about getting your pages set up and promoting them, but I'm not sure I would spend $97. I think that is the current price.

Basically all the Amazon programs are doing is capitalizing on the power of product reviews.

This concept goes back several years and Chris Rempel, I believe, is the source behind some of the material I've read in Jan's program. I have a hunch that the people behind some of the other Amazon programs may have a copy of Chris' "Conduit Method" as well. Just a hunch.

The Amazonian Profit Plan is indeed somewhat pricey.

It's an ebook that sells for $97.

And on the sales page it says:

    ********

IMPORTANT - READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY
If you have no experience building a website or blog then this program is not for you. We do not go into detail on how to create a blog or build a website of any type. You will need to have a blog or website in place or know how to build one for this method to work.
Note that at this point in time, residents of Colorado, North Carolina or Rhode Island are not eligible to participate in the Amazon Associates Program.

    ********

So the product is not designed for everyone.

But for those it is intended for, I feel it is of definite value. Paula and Wanda present the methods they have been using successfully on Amazon.

      Check Graphics WSO below
The Amazonian Profit Plan has product selection requirements and keyword search requirements that are quite high. But if you can find a product that fits their requirements, you've certainly got a real business in your hands so long as you implement well.

The Amazonian Profit Plan is business building.

The Easy Paycheck Formula is at the other end of the spectrum. The product selection requirements and the number of keyword searches per month requirements are quite low. Each site that you build based on the Easy Paycheck Formula won't be a business. It would just be an extra income site. But they can add up!

The Deadbeat Super Affiliate is somewhere in between in terms of requirements. And it is good to have as a conceptual tool in the background.

Nice analysis of the 3 Amazon programs, Calamaroo: the Amazonian Profit Plan, the Easy Paycheck Formula, and Dan Brock's Deadbeat Super Affiliate.

Do you or another Warrior have insight as to how the Jan Roos Amazon WSO "The Physical Affiliate Full Video Course" fits into that framework. I.e., is it a business building type program or a collection of generally lower volume mini review sites?

Jan Roos's Amazon WSO is certainly receiving a lot of favorable feedback.

For quickly getting up to speed on monetizing traffic as an Amazon.com affiliate/associate, I recommend Dan Brock's Deadbeat affiliate course.

One slight negative I can report is that there are no transcripts or PDFs for offline use. The entire course is presented in video format. The other negative is that Dan's email autoresponder is a bit too active for my tastes, so I unsubscribed from that pretty quickly.

But if you are OK with those caveats, Dan lays out the nuts and bolts of affiliate marketing as an Amazon Associate in a very thorough manner.
