Hi,

I am very interested in Mr FBX currently being promoted by Paul Lynch at mrfbx [dot] com.

It looks very interesting but I wanted some reviews before I buy it.

If anyone has bought this, could you post a review here?

Thanks.

  • I was also looking for more information on this product.

Is this a re-brand of another product?

    The sales video sounds familiar.
  • I too have just received this promo.

First impressions are that it sounds too good to be true....I mean come on, a 60k list in 2 days!!
    • [1] reply
    • There are 'lists' and there are Facebook 'lists'. I have no doubt it is possible to build a 60k list in 2 days, but there are associated costs to building that list. I'm going to join later today now I have enough funds to start.

It's not cheap but all the signs are that this will be a worthwhile venture. I have been following this programme since launch on Paul Lynch's forum but everyone who has joined has been very tight lipped about their results so far.

Testimonials are promised soon and it will be interesting to see the results of members so far. I am very curious as to what conversion rates can be achieved from a 'Social Network' list.

    • Yep, me too. Promo email came from Russell Brunson.
  • The guy in the video sounds a lot like Rob or Matt Benwell. It's amazing how many products he does voice overs for.

  • Interesting this is one of those offers that seems to good to be true, has anyone brought the course yet? I was a bit skeptical since there was no refund policy.
  • Hi there,

bought it yesterday. At the moment, I am pretty unimpressed. No written documentation, just some 10 or so videos, that's all.

Just watched 2 videos that show the very basics of setting up facebook accounts, setting up ads - so far, value I got from the 97 USD is close to zero, absolutely nothing new or outstanding.

However - that's just the 2 first vids, maybe there's a magic bullet in 3-10...

I'll continue reporting. Also, I hate it that they seem to be drop-feeding future content monthly, so you don't even get the full package for the 97 USD.

    Greets,
    R.

p.s. Just had a wunderful moment and laughed my ass off: "Mr. FBX" or whoever that is is talking, suddenly his dog starts barking in the background and just before he's switching of the mic (audio cuts/continues right after) you can hear him groaning and you know that he's about to go ape sh*t about his poor doggy :-)

    • Thanks! I'll be waiting for your review to see what the hype is all about.
    • Hi Murokama

      Thanks for the info.

Loved the bit about the "DOG" - LMAO

The joys of working from home eh!!!!

    • Thanks murokoma.

Finally a real review. hope video 3 to 10 is much better.

Guess editing quality is not so good... I would cut out the dog barking part and start from where I had a pause. But guess that's just me...

Yeah bronke13, I agree "The joys of working from home eh!!!!"

  • Same deal here. I want to believe it but if it is just facebook ads etc then = PASS
  • "MR FBX" lol, Have we forgotten how ridiculous this sounds? If this guys scams a bunch of buyers, no one would know who he is! Why not use your real name and build some strong credibility you could use in other niches in the future. Neways hopefully we can get some more reviews on videos 3-10 soon and see what all this hype is really about.

    • If you have joined up then you will know is real name. I think the whole fbx thing is just all part of the marketing hype, but for real he is a very cool guy.

I signed up for the program when it first launched on Paul's forum.

This is just my thought on it.

It is a very good course in my opinion but.. and it's a big BUT, I do think it's expensive. I have had problems with my subscription so I am going to need to set up payment again, there was an offer for a one off payment which was about $500 approx but I don't know if it's still open.

I think there are some really great golden eggs, he does start off with the very basics ( setting up fanpage blah blah ) but later on he goes into more advance stuff.

building the list side of things does start off with using facebook ads, but he shares a really great resource for getting the cost of the adds right down.. I am talking like $0.05 or sometimes less. I think the resource he provides and how he targets this is well worth the money on it's own and I have not seen anyone else share this knowledge and I have bought quite a few facebook programs.

You will need a bit of capital to invest in getting your facebook campaign going to start with but once you have a large number of followers it just starts to grow on it's own as most of you prob know.

From the point I started it was always stressed there was a lot more to come and there have been weekly webinars ( with a few disruptions ) going through case studies , Q&A and so on.

it's good but expensive in my opinion and if you don't have the cash to start up your campaign ( and I mean your really really tight for cash) then you may struggle a bit. I would say you should prob have at least $150 to $200 that you can put towards starting your add campaign.

I would have kept up with it but I have had a few personal challenges which have really messed up my finances so thats the only reason I have not. I try and get back into it and if the option is still available for a one off payment then I will go for that.

I don't know if there has been any big change in the training but it was all in a video format last time a checked and looking at the new price increase, ya I am not really sure it's worth that much.

I know he has had issues with the support ticket system and he is in the process of changing that.

      Just my $1 worth.
  • Are you trying to use that video to promote this? If so, perhaps you should listen to what she says again.

She's a complete newbie (a newbie wouldn't know if this program is good or bad until buying it, unless they come here and educate themselves about what is hype and what is not), she's only made $16.

Now, I'm not saying this program doesn't work. It probably does, but it is the way these guys have gone about selling it that is completely wrong and unethical.

    • Hey Mike!
Wow alot of people from Brisbane on this thread so far

So just wanted to say that I personally thought it was wonderful of Clare to share that testimonials, you can see how happy she is with the results so far... but more important, as a newby she's been able to prove the concept which allows her to expand. I've heard before that your first dollar in IM is the most important, as many people out there go for years without making one. This to me says she's on her way to bigger and better thing, but again it's great that she's achieved something in the first week and has the right attitude to move forward....

      I love people like that

  • Is this building Email lists i.e. Aweber or it for building FB fan lists?

    James
  • Yes , same question with xxx Jamesxxx ,
  • More importantly, are any of these people making money?

'Cause I can build you a massive list off of garbage traffic that will never convert... and for a reasonable price, too.

Personally, I'm not impressed with thousands of people on a list, unless I see some click- and conversion-rates.

    • Hi there,

just wanted to follow up on my first post here - unfortunately, daily business kept me away from looking any further into this, but I'll do very soon.

I stumbled over this thread again and when I read through it, I was quite amused... the three vids all had a "been paid for commenting" feeling with it - nr. 2 looked more like she was in urgent need of some bucks (for a new sofa? :p) and would happily comment on anything , and Nr. 3 was trying a bit too hard imho... but again, this has nothing to do with the product.

This is NOT a review part - as I didn't see past vid 2, I cannot comment on the quality of the material :-) I'm still very interested what will follow and give my 2 cents on this.

      Thanks,
      R.

  • Hi Guys,

okay, so I've finally taken the time and go through the whole video series.

Let me give you a quick feedback on what I think about this.

First, what you get is at this point around 17 or so videos, all around 30 mins long. At the beginning, a month or so, it was like 12, and some webinars have been added in the meantime.

    POSITIVE:
    ----------

    - For the contents that the course covers, it really is step-by-step and very detailed. You can be a total beginner and still know what to do.

    - Sound and Video quality are very nice.

    - The content *that is covered* absolutely makes sense, no doubt about this, and it is definitely scalable, if you have the money.

    NEGATIVE
    ----------

    - For the price tag, nothing really "new" is covered. If you know how to do facebook ads and you know what "targeting" is, then you don't need this course imho.

    - You just get videos. No transcriptions, no written text, nothing. Just some videos thrown in. There's one Excel sheet that would make sense, but it's just available in an annoying frame that makes you scroll until your fingers bleed and can't be copied with the formatting, which is the most important part.

    - The member area is a mess. If you are like me and like to download videos to your harddisk to watch it when you want to (I do this a lot on my iPod when in traffic), have fun... renaming everything. I'd expect a bit more professionalism for the price tag.

    - And now the most important part, and why I think this HAS some potential to become a very "valuable" course, IF they add the missing parts:

The course mainly covers how to get Facebook fans / "likes" to your page, by targeted FB ads. Of course - if you have the budget (which is around 500-1000 USD per 10'000 fans), you can scale this up as you wish, and you'll get targeted members at a very low CPC.

HOWEVER, and that is the part I think is not covered enough by any means:

You can have 10'000 (or 60'000, as in the teaser video) videos within 48 hours, sure. And you can have them at a very low cpc of 0.01...0.05. But you know what: this alone won't make you any money! What the videos are missing are some *convincing" monetization strategies. Okay, they tell you about some (again, very obvious) strategies such as making offers to your list, BUT:

you have XX members as a FAN. the way it is done that does NOT even mean they have visited your page.

IF they visit your page, you have to get them to your "offer" page. This is not covered in enough detail IMO.

IF you have them on your offer page (still on Facebook), you have to get them to the "product" page, i.e. a CPA offer or whatever...

and finally, IF you have them there, they STILL have to convert the lead/sale.

See where this is going? You might get HUGE amonts of fans very fast and cheap (cheap on a per-fan-base), but if you still have 2, 3 steps BEFORE THE SALE in between, I'm sure for every conversion step you lose so many people that the effective CPA for the SALE / LEAD (and NOT for the "fan") will be so high that we're back to prices here that you get with every other PPC as well. Or you could through some 5k or 10k at some publishing network and get huge traffic as well.

And THIS is where "Mr. FBX" fails to show ANY conversion examples. Sure, you get plenty of nice "targeted fan page" exsamples they did - even though most of what Mr. Fbx showed doesn't have 60'000, but sometimes only 8 or 10 fans (!!!! yes, these are the "proofs" you get!!! - and you can clearly see that on the Videos, and often you hear "yeees well so we only did a test with a small budget of xx here and then the price went up and we stopped the campaign (!!!!)) - but you get NO proof of the final Cost per Sale/lead that you get with this method, and ONLY this is what counts, or NO proofs of FINAL conversions.

As I said: IF they will cover this in future Videos, convincingly, then this will be a course with potentials. As from the webinars, many menbers asked about this and "this wil be covered in future videos". Well then guys, go ahead and give us some value for the steep price you charge there.

ALso, I think they are repeating themselves over and over again... you could pack all the information in 5 Videos and be fine. Plus, I just can't get rid of the impression that what "Mr. Fbx" did was make a great sales pitch, wait for customers to pay, and is NOW developing the product "on the fly" from customer feedback and the like.

For the 2x 97 USD I've paid so far, for sure I've gotten some value - but it is NOT what was promised and there are still many construction sites with this product.

Hope this help guys, shoot me with questions if you like.

    R.
    • [ 3 ] Thanks
  • Ah well, and as some people always ask "how much will this cost me afterwards".
As you effectively pay for your clicks, expect to spend something like 20 USD min for every "test" campaign before you can really see some reliable results here, more makes sense.

So if you need 10, 20 or more "trial and error" campaigns before you find your "golden fan nugget" - do the math.

    • I don't get it when he charges for a course then starts giving it away for free. I got a free membership yesterday through Clickoop dot com. I noticed all the points you mentioned. Lots of holes that need to be filled.
  • Hi there,

@Paul: I am saying this without proof of concept as I don't do CPC in IM, but here's what I think about it. I think CPC/CPA whatever is about thinkining outside the box. So if you target keywords like "Internet Marketing", you won't get low clicks, no. But if you target niches WITHIN IM - let's say we think about IM, then we think about CPA, and then we end up with "cpa automation software" (really just brainstorming here), that's something you could target to FB folks who are interested in software, IM etc. so you can really narrow down basing on FB user preferences imho. Might be an interesting thing to try, maybe I'll do this when I find a suitable offer and post my experience on this.

About downloading: They don't offer "click here" download links, but I use the downloadhelper plugin for firefox which makes it possible to DL the vids without any problems.

@rashamba: maybe you got me wrong here. I dont' complain at all about spending 20 USD on testing - in fact, I usually burn a lot more than that before campaigns get profitable. And I totally agree about the good ol' "money in the list" thing.
What I said was - from my impression of the sales pitch, the product claimed to give you a 360 degree look on FB marketing. It definitely goes into great depths when it comes to targeting, but at this point I feel it lacks the monetization part.

If you KNOW how to do this - and you might know be such a person - that's fine; if you are a newbie, I think you'll be lost, and that's what I pointed out.

They propose many ways of monetization, catching leads for later sales is just one of them; I just feel that more detail would add highly to the overall value of the product :-).

  • Hey there just wanted to add my $0.02.

LOL Im the chick who made the first video testimonial which was literally a few days after it launched, when, when you hit the 'ask mr fbx a question' tab in the members area, you actually got a response from Nick, within a few hours.

By the time my video had been posted up here this had stopped so the whole reason for me making the testimonial had disappeared!

I wasnt even a member here then and when I was, I didn't have enough posts to reply.

So. Im not slating it. But I am about to cancel my membership.

Partly due to having to submit support tickets (not a problem) but they take DAYS to get a response and if you ask more than one question you will get maybe one question answered and the others are just ignored.

My main thing with this prog, is that there are hardly any monetization strategies proved. The whole point of this course is to look over his shoulder, which is fine for building campaigns and getting fans, but as someone else said, you still have to make money from your fan page, from there.

The only thing I saw was that he tried 2 CPA offers, to his fan page of Jersey Shore, with over 100,000 fans. (you have to wait until month 2 for this)

One had a few negative comments so he stopped promoting it on the page and got 0 clicks, conversions and $0. The other was a cutest pet competition...he seemed to make about 10 or so posts with pics of cute pets, pics of people from jersey shore with their pets etc... made $150 in 24 hours, I asked him with a support ticket yesterday thats not yet been answered, how much did he spend getting the 100k list - I believe this is the same list that is used to promote this product - 100k list in 48 hours or whatever...

    no reply as yet...

again not slating it - but proof would be nice, actual numbers would be nice... I like Nick - I agree the whole MR.. F... B.... X.. thing is a bit ridiculous, but he knows his stuff, I never tried the 'get a custom campaign built for you - or he can help you better campaigns you already made - because I just was never convinced about making money from the fan pages themselves. if this was addressed I think the product would appeal to more people...

:-) nick... if you read this post some figures.. how much did you spend to get your initial 100k list?? how much do you make per CPA offer you promote?? :-)

have a great day everyone :-)
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • So am I reading this right? It started as a $97 product - went to a $697 and now to $997. I hope the training has bumped up quite a bit from what I am reading for that price.

Did the format of the training change quite a bit? Can anyone who has been a member from the beginning clarify what your thoughts are now on the program?

    Thanks

    Terry
  • So its now the 4th April and Ive still not had a reply to my support ticket.... thats pretty poor by anyones standards....
  • Have I missed something? There was talk about two products at $97 price for each. What I am seeing is the membership site at a price of $997.

There is a big difference. Has the product changed and a lot of new videos and information added or does Mr FBX also have $97 products that I should check out?

At $997, this is a lot of money.
  • Yep, as of today it's still $997.

    .
  • When someone giving a testimonial can't get support and is going to give up on the program, there probably should be alarm bells.

I watched the video courtesy of a Ryan Deiss link. I watched and waited for some actualy strategy to be presented. Ryan actually had to prompt Nick to get into the actual tactics. About ten minutes in I realized Nick was talking about people who "Like" your page, not a real list. So, I asked the question directly and Ryan conveyed it to Nick, "Is this like a real, Aweber, iContact, MailChimp sort of list?"

The answer came back no but its just as good. No it isn't and Nick alluded to it. In his strategy you have to set your niche page up as a "Product" because if you set it up as something else, at 10,000 likes, Facebook TAKE the page away from you and turn it over to the community. That should set off alarm bells too.

Facebook is a closed, proprietary platform with a VERY YOUNG dictator at the helm who's prone to making rash decisions. Do you really want to depend on that? If I were building up a fan page on Facebook, it would be with the underlying premise of driving people to a traditional squeeze page and getting them on my mailing list.

I logged off the webinar when Nick said it wasn't a real list, but it was just as good. No sense being there if I fundamentally disagree.
  • I emailed support about this two days ago, havent heard from them. Will let you know once I hear something.
  • [DELETED]
  • Hi I joined this right at the beginning and I did the first ever testimonial for them, when I joined it was $97 a month, and they actually DID respond to the emails if you wanted to get support or ask any questions. This was when you could email mr fbx directly rather than getting fobbed off with the support desk - I don't mind those per se, but I do when you don't get a reply or they answer 1 of about 4 things...

When it was a relatively small group of people I found it was great in terms of getting support, but sadly this changed very fast so my testimonial was invalid about a week after making it! but before then I have to say Nick was helpful and nice. I think they just took on too many people too fast and offered more support than they were able to give.

From what I could see of the method, I NEVER felt like it was worth bothering with because, sure you can get people to like your page, but when Nick actually tried to monetise it, not only were the results crap but they weren't properly explained.

let me give you an example. he sets up a page to do with a well known tv programme and posts some stuff on it. spends some money posting particular types of ads promoting this and lots of people 'like' the page. this is the page that I understood was the one he used in the initial promo videos to get the 60,000 'list' in 48 hours.

no mention ever of how much money he spent on ads to get to that many likes, nor how many versions of the ad he tried and tested - which was essential info as far as I was concerned since the whole point of the course was 'looking over the shoulder'

then he tried posting some CPA offers to that page mixed in with stuff to do with the TV prog that the page was about. one bombed completely and had bad comments on the FB page like 'why are you putting this on here?!' and the other I think he made about $30-40, after about 5 posts to do with the same offer. from 60,000 people 'liking' the page. plus, it took LOADS of videos to even get to the one showing you where he tried to do this, since I started from the beginning.

now, I had no idea they are charging so much for the course now so maybe they have totally changed the videos and the support strucutre. last time I emailed their support, it was when Id heard the FB pages were changing from FBML to iframes which I didn't fully understand and asked if they were going to make videos to explain this and I never got a reply.

I cancelled my $97/month membership after 3 months, thats 2 months too long IMHO, I don't think they are bad people at all, but from seeing the first 3 months worth of videos and comparing it to products I have bought for $7, $20 etc from the War Room, WSO of the day etc, Id say this course (how I found it at the start of the year, up until March) is worth about $20-40 - just comparing it to how much use and value I have had from other stuff on the Warrior Forum, which I will be forever grateful for.

I don't mean that in any way other than as an honest review - I hope people have success from the Mr FBX method, I hope Nick and Paul can answer everyone's customer service questions on time and fully, and hope everyone makes money.

One final point is that I definitely WILL use his methods to promote my record label, but as a cheap method of advertising and growing awareness, rather than a direct method to make money online. I think its a brilliant way to get people to know about whatever it is you put on your FB page, and you CAN fine tune it to be super cheap advertising - but in terms of specifically monetizing your FB pages, can't see it working, not for me anyway.

Best wishes and good luck everyone! :-)

    • Well, I've sent an email to the support desk requesting a refund. Now I wait to see if I a) get a response and b) they actually honor the money back guarantee given in the various webinars Nick's done recently to promote the product.

I'm hoping that they play fair, otherwise I have a tsunami of traffic at my disposal with which to launch a PR campaign of my own if need be.

I noticed today that the community forum section of his site is competely empty. This is always a bad sign (for me).

  • If this program can do what it says on the box, diligent users should by now have lists totalling many millions of people.

Anyone made any money from them?
    Anyone recouped their costs?

    Just wondering :-)
  • Sorry Coleen to hear that Nick Peal didn't ship you the Ipad. I was also on a seminar with Rich Schefren where Nick Peal promised a laptop, as far as I know nobody ever received that laptop either. I would have hoped that people co-hosting the webinars to make the affiliate sales would actually make good and solve the issue since they endorsed the guy and made commissions meanwhile.

  • Go to his facebook page for 'Social Explode' and share your experiences there. He'll probably delete them, but not before many others have read them. A refund would solve the problem for him. Good luck! 'Oil the wheel that squeeks the loudest' works for me
  • Hi,

The guy conducted a webinar on social explode today, I was at the webinar today, If someone who claims that he can get 100,000 fans in 24 hours, I believe such a person should have at least more than 100,000 fans, he only has 1500 fans on his fanpage !! LOL

The information shared in the webinar has been shared multiple times by other people, there is a video series on the same called 1 penny clicks which was sold here by another WF member which talks exactly the same...

All in all, anybody going for buying the product, I would suggest, STAY AWAY

It doesnt seem to be worth it
  • clickoop??
  • Has the whole Mr. FBX thing gone south then? Sounded quite good early on and I was actually thinking of enrolling in this. Does anyone have any recent feedback on the course? Thanks
