I'm using squid proxies and am happy with them. Good speed, nice dashboard to manage IPs myself, and pretty responsive support. I've used them for about 60 days.

    Private Proxies | Squid Proxies

Use promo code sickmarketing to get the 10 IP pack down to 19.20. There may be better promo codes out there if you look around, this is just the one I found and used.

    Hope this helps

$20 a month for a proxy is a bit steep...

Rainman - as far i understand, then if I will use this hidemyass VPN then i do not need any proxies for scrapeboxing?
Please clarify this chain - my pc+scrapebox>vpn>internet>scrapeboxing/harvesting/commenting without proxies.
        Is that right?

        Cheers!

Never used yourprivateproxy, so I cant say. Squid has been fast and reliable for me, so I haven't really had a reason to try any others.

What is wrong with the proxies that ScrapeBox harvests itself?

I don't know the first thing about this subject. But I keep wondering why you need proxies to use ScrapeBox and what would happen if you used it without?

I didn't mean to hijack this thread, but I thought this might be a good place to get my answer, so hope you don't mind.

      I'm looking into proxybonanza.com

Tim, the reason why you need proxies is because when you do a scrape from google it is accessing their site for multiple queries, now, if google sees you doing 15,000 queries in a short period of time, then they will ban your IP address. By using proxies you spread the queries up over say 200 proxies, so you do not give google a footprint that you're actually scraping data.

Same with other sites, if you do multiple blasts and 1 min you're saying you Joe Smith, then you blast again saying you're Jim Bob and the admin of that site sees that it is one and the same IP address, they will ban your IP address, hence the need for proxies.

because public proxies are used by lots of other people, go down a lot, they are slow, and because of that unreliable.
Out of 5k i find 300 working, anonymous and with decent latency. Just few hours later when i rescan them, i've got less than 200 still working, by the end of the day they might be less than 100.
If you are doing a long run, a lot of the sites won't be posted to because of dead proxies. You can rerun them again of course with a fresh batch of proxies, but takes time.

Anyway 10 private proxies won't be enough for big runs anyway, so you have to use both and keep the private for more important tasks like manual commenting to high PR blogs or so.

At least that's how i see it (i'm pretty new to scrapebox)

I use YourPrivateProxy and have been very pleased with their service. The one time I had a proxy stop working I emailed them and they replaced it within hours. Their proxies work well with Scrapebox and do so without breaking their TOS. Some of the other proxy companies mentioned actually prohibit use with Scrapebox when you read their small print.

I have also used proxies from freeproxylist.org (upgrade to vip and filter out slower proxies, codeen, etc). These work pretty well but you must download a fresh list frequently and then use the scrapebox proxy cleaner to strip out the few duds that slip through.

Is there a way of paying a once only fee for 30-40 private proxies.
With the scrapebox proxies theres a low blog submit rate. Out of 2000 blog submits you only get about 300-500 submits with the free proxies. The traffic is very heavy on the free proxies.

But even with this you can open the higher PR sites in your browser and submit a comment manually.

Yourprivateproxy is really good and I also use Proxylist. You get 10 proxies for $29.99 a month from Yourprivateproxy and you can get 200 worldwide proxies from Proxylist for $15 a month. I always filter the proxies using Elite Proxy Switcher in order to get rid of transparent proxies.

What do you mean by 200 worldwide proxies?
I guess they are from all over the world, but for this price prolly shared or public?

They are shared proxies I believe and they have proxies for different countries. They also have a filter specifically for Scrapebox. I just log into my account and download 200 proxies and test them in Scrapebox. I usually get anywhere from 150-170 good proxies from the list which I believe is pretty good.

This is a little confusing. As these are shared proxies, what is the difference between them and the shared ones you either find for free all over the place or the ones you can scrape and harvest in SB? In other words, what are you actually paying for with ProxyList?

I just bough 10 squidproxies and all of them are in the same A zone, just 2 different B zones, and few are even in the same C zone!

What's the situation about that with yourprivateproxy?

Can anyone please explain how many private proxies would be required for the use of Scrapebox and SEO Link Robot? For example would 10 proxies a month be enough or more required?

It would depend on the volume of scraping and promotion your doing..
10 should be enough but if your using scrape box 24 hours a day you may need more..

A lot of proxy providers do allow you to swap proxy ip's though during the month.. so this may not be an issue..

I just got squid proxies to use with sick submitter and I'm really happy so far. I had an issue when I first signed up and they sorted it out almost immediately. I really value good customer service - I HATE when companies waste my time and jerk me around - so I was grateful that my little problem didn't turn into a major hassle. The proxies are fast and are performing just as they should...and they were the cheapest private proxies I found.

Can someone explain the bandwidth part of the proxies? I plan on doing a lot of promotion and when I used scrapebox almost a year ago, using proxybananza, I remember that scraping and harvesting didn't use a lot of bandwidth, but checking the urls to see if they were a link or not ate up the bandwidth and killed me from doing anything else.

I guess the secret would be to not check to see if you automatically have a link and just post as much as possible.

I don't want to spend $100+ for proxies, but also want to be able to promote all 20 of my websites on a regular basis.

Any thoughts on how much bandwidth to get? How many different proxies you would need? How about private versus shared proxies?

I had squidproxies for a few days and then cancelled it because i cant get them to work. funny because i think i might be the first person to have the ip not worked on me.

i had dynamic ip address, meaning my ip changes almost every second, and apparently this doesn't work with squidproxies. what makes me wonder is that, I am just using a normal broadband service with my laptop connected to it thru wireless. i'm sure millions of people around the world uses the same thing but so far i've not heard anyone complaining that squidproxies not working for them.

    anyone?

it doesn't change every second but, everytime you connect your router to the net or restart it.
Once it does, just log-in inside and re-authorize your current ip
or ask your ISP for an static IP, the most will give you one for few extra bucks or so

This doesn't really help for Scrapebox, but for running stuff like SEO Link Robot or SEnuke I use a VPN.

It's cheaper than proxies and I don't have to fiddle with inserting my proxies anywhere. Plus I can tell it to automatically rotate my IP address every XX minutes.

Scrapebox I mainly use for harvesting anymore. I do not do much blog commenting with it. I use mostly public proxies for that. I like to have at least 300 going at any one time.

I would suggest finding some lists of public proxies that you can insert into Scrapebox's proxy harvester. Don't just use the sites that come with Scrapebox. They get blasted to death.

that right yes.. a VPN tunnels your whole connection through the server so everything you use get routed when you are connected to the VPN service.

You'd notice the difference between "scarped" proxies and private proxies if you scraped, or did some blog analyzing. I do alot of link analysis with SB, and having private proxies is the best way to go. I got some proxies from "Your Private Proxies" (google it).
