Hi,
Just received an e-mail from Mike Johnson about his new plugin, WP Spin. Looks like a good plugin, and I always trust Mike. Anyone gets this plugin? How is it compared to WP Robot, Autoblog Samurai, etc? Thanks.

I'm planing on purchasing this plugin this evening. I agree...Mike Johnson is diffently one of the good guys to trust and I usually purchase all his stuff. Regarding the message above....you can't really compare this plugin to WP Robot or any other auto blog software. This is just a stand alone plugin for spinning content on autopilot

The plugin also requires that you own Jonathan Leger's "Best Spinner" which is another $47 on top of the plugin price. This IS mentioned in the sales copy but not till the bottom of the page near the second buy button. So - if you watch the video and then click the buy button (like I did!) you are in for a nasty surprise. If it does all that it says - then it is certainly more than just a spinner, but as I am on a mac and the Best Spinner is Windows only, I don't own it. I am willing to buy it if all I need is the activation code for BS to make the plugin work - it would still be a great deal if it actually incorporates spinning and SEO at the same time, for future posts. I don't think WPR does this yet, although I have not checked out the most recent updates.

      Hi All

We got a couple of emails.

Mikes price was definately the cheapest of the emails that we saw.

Does look good and we already have "The Best Spinner" so its not much to pay if its as good as it sounds.

Will probably grab it later today.

      regards

        Could somebody help me understand:

Once I own The best Article Spinner, why would I want to spend extra money to buy WP Spin? Why wouldn't I just spin my blog posts (with The best Article Spinner) and then post the spun content myself?

I realize WP Spin will do the posting - and follow a schedule I create for that posting - automatically, saving me a lot of time, right? But that assumes that I want to spin scores and scores of versions of my own blog posts. I'm not sure why I'd want to do that.

I realize that it might help, to some extent, with ranking (at least getting the attention of the SE spiders), but at some point I become more concerned about the readability of my blog and it's posts .. what the prospective customer visiting my blog thinks of my content and therefore whether to trust on my review and/or recommendation to buy. Do I really want 100s of posts saying pretty much the same thing?

I readily admit that I know just enough about SEO to be dangerous, so maybe somebody can help me see the light here.

          Hi Richard

The obvious answer would be speed and flexibility but after having a look at the video on the sales page we aren't sure that it is any faster than the process we use now.

That being said it does look like a good product and obviously works.

          Hope that helps

          Regards

I have to agree here. Maybe it's me and i don't understand exactly how it works, and maybe someone wants to educate me, but from what i have seen, you are basically writing content, having this plugin spin that content and set up a scheduling to have that spun content sent out into the future?

Now my first question is, why would you want one piece of content spun, i don't know, hundreds of times, then have those same spun articles drip-fed onto your blog? You're essentially talking about the same article spun in different wording over the course of, let's say, 2 months, on the same blog?

I understand having original content on your blog, and spinning that content and putting it on OUTSIDE web properties (bring link juice to your original blog), but putting that same spun content (along with the original) on your blog just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe i'm not seeing this the right way?

No you are not writing content. It's aimed at autobloggers who are getting all their content automatically using autoblogging software like WPRobot. WP Spin will spin the content as soon as it's been scraped from another source and post it on the autoblog.

If you're using WPRobot and getting content delivered from Goarticles for example, by using WPSpin you will have those articles spun automatically thus creating unique content without having to do much.

Currently autoblogs can fall down on the fact that all the content is duplicated from other sources. This piece of software 'should' make the content more unique.

I would caution you against using software to spin content that is not PLR or your own unique articles. Most article directories would view this as breaking their TOS and to be honest it is basically stealing so that makes it ethically wrong as well.

If you want to go down that road just remember someone warned you not to.

If you're referring to the ever popular "duplicate content" myth then this isn't correct and like many others you are misunderstanding the true meaning behind duplicate content.

If you're simply trying to imply that auto blogs may not fair well in the search engines because they are primarily filled with content that's already published across the net on other sites then that isn't exactly correct either.

There are several autobloggers who have many sites that rank very well with republished content. Ranking an autoblog in the SERPS really is no different than ranking any other site...in the end it boils down to SEO and backlinks.

I see. Okay, so you are essentially taking content from outside sources and spinning THAT content, and scheduling that to your blog for future posting. Understood. Then if that's the case, then i would agree with the previous poster that mentioned breaking TOS of certain article directories. You absolutely can get in trouble for that.

Most certainly something you need to be aware of and avoid if possible.

IM is hard enough without any added challenges, why add to them?

The last thing most autobloggers are worried about is terms of service of article directories. And yes I understand the myth about dupe content. Google's own search results are duplicated content from other sites and I don't see them banning themselves any time soon

I would venture to say that those autobloggers (the ones you refer to, not all) won't last long and rightfully so...

Melody the lastest version of WPR does incorporate The Best Spinner! I found this out today and I am in the process of updating several blogs with the latest WPR update. It was a pleasant surprise to find that it was built in. In fact the latest version of WPR incorporates 2 different spinning services. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

The second spinning service is based on credits. You buy so many credits and get so many spins. It seems best spinner may be the cheapest alternative.

I may also check out the plugin the OP mentioned. From what I understand you can't go wrong with Mike Johnson's stuff!

Hi reapr - Thanks! That's great news! Off to check out WPR - hate to say it but there still isn't much out there that competes with WPR although I do like WPBlogmatic's 'drag and drop' system. I was in on the early stages of this one and I have to say it holds a lot of potential!
