The first thing you need to understand is that not all backlinks are the as in some backlinks will help you out a lot more than others. If you can understand how the rank structure of backlinks looks, then you’ll have a better idea of what type of plan you need to build backlinks.

I’ll give you my answer first of what I believe is the best way to get backlinks, and then I’ll explain a little more about backlinks. However, it is important to understand that nobody actually knows what the search engines algorithms are and these are just result of extensive test that other Internet Marketers have done. The search engine can also change their algorithms at anytime, so also keep that in mind.

So with further ado, the best way to get backlinks is…. through guest post.

If you look at some of the strongest backlinks, then you’ll see that guest post meet all of the requirements.

· It appears natural to search engines.
A lot of Internet Marketers overlook this simply fact that backlinking tragedies that do not seem “natural” to the search engines will end up hurting them. Guest post is the most natural looking backlinks out there. The whole purpose of backlinks was to measure the importance of a site based on how many other sites refer to it, and usually that was a link in a post. Sure Blog Rolls and those sort of links are still helpful, but not as quite as a link within a post.

· Anchor Text
Anchor Text is when you create a link but it only shows up as hyperlinked words such as “click here.” The beauty of anchor text is that they clearly let the search engines know what the website on the other side of that link is about. So if I had a site about iPads, then in my guest post I would use the Anchor text “Apple iPad” when linking to my site. That will help me rank up specifically for that keyword.

· Longevity
Another great reason why guest posts are great is because you generally don’t have to worry about your link being removed or your post being deleted. Older post usually gets put into a archive.

It is important to understand that guest posting should appear as natural as possible. That means you need to diversify where you links are coming from. So while guest post might be the most valuable links, branch out and use other strategies also to compliment it.

Scarebox and bookmark demon works really great in terms of backlinks. But for me i prefer to do it manually. Doing it manually will make sure that you provide good and quality backlinks.
