Hi, and thanks for reading this-
I am looking at getting a web builder wysiwyg software program- the free ones have exceeded their lifespan for me... which of these have the most fo rthe buck?
Basic salespages, download pages, etc. with audio and video imbed, optin form... that's what I'm building...
What are your thoughts? I guess i am looking hardest at Xsitepro, but I thought I would run it by all the knowledgeable people here at WF for the best advice...

Thanks!
Keith

    Go for XSitePro Version 2.

    You will never regret it.

One thing to note though, the learning curve is a little high when you use XSitePro for the first time...

I think XSitePro 2 is hands down the best WYSIWYG HTML software. I am biased of course because it has been one of the best tools I ever bought to get the job done.

It is fast, easy and fully featured.

XSitePro all the way for most types of websites once you get the hand of it you'll have a very powerful tool at your disposal.

I also use NVU for editing, creating little snippets of HTML and designing ebay listings. As well as Wordpress for blogs.

    Good Luck, Harry

If you plan on becoming a web designer then go for DreamWeaver because it will give you the most flexibility. There is a big learning curve with DreamWeaver.

If you are just planning to make websites for your own Internet marketing purposes then I'd highly recommend xSitePro. It's easier to get going quickly.

Although I haven't seen James Shramko's Cheat Sheet I have purchased another product from him and it was an excellent value. So if you decide to buy xSitePro I don't think you can lose if you buy through James' link.

    Thanks to all!
I guess the hands down word in this thread is "get XSitePro V2"!

I knew I could count on the wisdom of this forum to find good answers... I am not a beginner, so I am unafraid to plunge forward and get some heavyweight software to grow with.

I have already promised my purchase-through-affiliate-link to someone else, though, James-! I'll check out your other stuff, though!

    Thanks again, all!

Don't know about dreamweaver or xsitepro. I've only used Frontpage so far and am addicted to it because it's fairly easy to use.

Of course, Frontpage is known to bloat the code but that's another issue.

I bought Xsitepro v2 a few days ago and I think it is fantastic. I haven't actually found the learning curve that bad. I just followed the online screen shot tutorials and refer to the other docs you get with it.

however that said, there are a few things I haven't figured yet, because I don't need them at this stage but I don't think they will be a problem. I actually found the whole software very easy to use, as long as you follow the tutorials.

I think in time this will be amongst one of my best IM purchases ever, its a great bit of kit.

(I would still love to get my hands on James's cheat sheet though, I remember people raving about it from version 1 (many moons ago) I think on the WA forum.)

If you want to be a web programmer then go for frontpage or dreamweaver. If you want to get some web sites up in a hurry, easily integrating with google analytics, cloaked affiliate links, and google friendly sitemaps, then XSitePro (1 or 2) is the tool you need.

Xistepro is the choice for AM. it is good for technically challenged people like me.

Never used others so it would be unfair to comment on them.

Xsite is easy to use, but it have some annoying habits, like screwing with my tables and stuff like that... But, I would say it depends on what kind of site you want....

The build-in auto responder handler, is awesome though.......

Just have to chime in here!

I am definitely no web designer - I actually got my introduction to site creation through SiteBuildIt (ken Evoy's creation.) When it just became way too cumbersome for me and I needed something where I had more control, but that was still very newbie friendly, I went for XSite Pro, and I haven't looked back since. It gives lots of flexibility without being too overwhelming.
