Infusionsoft Brings Back the $1500 Startup Fee...

Not much more to be said. They had removed the fee last year...now it's back. And there's no way to remove the "Quick-Start Success Package" from your cart.

So if you want to get started with Infusionsoft now, it'll cost you $1799 for month 1 for the "Plus" package.

I'm interested in Infusionsoft's reasoning. Does this higher price eliminate "tire kickers"?

    Jesus,
I imagine they were inundated with the wrong kinds of customers...

I'm sure they have good metrics being collected...so they will know whether this is an epic fail or a great idea.

I'm sure some other companies are excited about this though.

Thanks for bringing this up Jesus. True, Infusionsoft is not for everyone. Growing businesses who are ready to take advantage of the power of true marketing automation from the leader in the industry have found the services we offer an extremely powerful investment. Ask any Infusionsoft user and they’ll tell you the time spent implementing and strategizing with Infusionsoft at the outset is directly proportionate to the speed and degree to which their business experiences big gains using Infusionsoft.

So what do new customers get today? The required services package means new customers get one-on-one time with a success coach along a process that we’ve spent the last year designing a proven system for—so ultimately, you get to the benefits of Infusionsoft faster. We’ll help you map out your marketing plan—what we call the Perfect Customer Lifecycle—and assist you in your automated campaign creation, and help you transition data from other systems. We’re all about long-term customer success and this services and process approach ensures that.

A little history for those who may be unfamiliar with Infusionsoft… Originally, to become a customer, we required $5000 setup and activation fees—these fees were for a consultant to walk new users through training and migrate their existing marketing and CRM systems over. In 2009 we removed the setup fee and deep-dive services. Users still worked with a success coach for a few scheduled sessions, but to learn some of the basics of the software. We discovered that new users needed more help with strategy, migration and automated campaign creation than what the consulting system and process at that time was designed for. We had more to learn on how to provide these services more optimally and sustainably. After hundreds of customer interviews and research that supports this new services approach, we’re confident that it ensures our users are even more successful with Infusionsoft.

We’re super-passionate about customer success and satisfaction. We’re intent on every user being thrilled with their Infusionsoft experience of our software and services—and that means we’re bent on improvement. The new services offering is a great move and users are already seeing the benefits of it.

        Hi JV

I am an Infusion user and we have talked in the past, I've been with Infusion since Sept last year and have been impressed so far, although there are some things i would change if i could.

Now regarding the new fee that's required for a success coach... I was given a success coach but i never really needed it and never had the calls with them.

So what if for somebody like me that just wants to get going on there own.. are they still required to pay the $1500 ? that's my question?

I would think it would be better to make this an option or upsell of some kind surely ?

        Thanks
        Dan

The fee allows them to profit from all those that sign and cancel because the setup is difficult. With the low-cost front end and degree of difficulty, their customer attrition was high; so I'm sure they and to re-think the customer acquisition process. (based on my speculative reasoning of course)

If it was easier to use and you didn't need to get a 3rd party for setup or buy their add-ons, I'm sure the low-cost of entry pricing they had would have continued. Of course the affiliate and email deliverability/tracking needs improving as well.

@Life - Yeah i agree, it is a good platform but there are some things that need to be improved. Not sure why some certain things have not been done sooner.

I know some pretty well known marketers that have migrated away from them as of late for instance I had this email from Ryan Deiss.

      HUGE MIGRATION ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are moving our IM business back over to 1Shoppingcart.com

Affiliate tracking seems to be more accurate and our conversions
      are up by 20%.

You will need to go to the link below to activate your affiliate account
there so we will know where to send your check.

As soon as your new account activate you'll get instant access to
all of the links and SEVEN killer new swipe mails for Mobile Local
      Fusion...

Just activate your account, log in to the affiliate center and click the
"Links & Tools" tab at the top of the page.

After that all you need to do is: COPY => PASTE => SEND = Get PAID.

      Thank for your continuing support.

      Happy Holidays,

      Ryan Deiss

I've heard some good stuff about this but such a high cost would put me off.
