Has anyone tried Affiliate Prophet

Its the best software i have ever purchased. I was a user of conversion prophet (older version of affiliate prophet). I was a beta tester for Affiliate prophet.

Realy without Affiliate prophet i never start any campaign. It saved me tons of money and time.

Peter Yoon the product developer is a nice guy and helpful.

Go and Buy it!

Yes, ITs very user friendly. The main advantage of this software is split testing. We can always improve the landing page conversion rate. I have increased the conversion rate from 0.5% to 5% after using this software.

Really awesome piece of software.. and I don't say this simply because I am actually aggressively selling it (to be honest). But it has had a huge impact on the way I do my PPC advertising.

hi guys,

i'm new here (actually this is my first post...)
i bought affiliate prophet few days ago and I think it's great.

but, i've some problem with the php code stuff.
basically, what i have to do is insert the code in the "right" place and rename the page from .html to .php, am i right?

i also have some problem with all the <Get Kwd> <Get Apid>, where excactly i have to put this code?

AP it's great, but i'm not so great with programming code.

can you guys help my out?

Don't worry. This software is lot easier to learn than some other softwares in the market.

You should change the .html to .php. But if you use hostgator i can give you the code that helps you to use this software with .html extension.

If you need any other help, email peter yoon. He is very helpful,reponsive and motivated person.

Yes, Practically speakin It has to help. It has to show the exact URL of the website where you got the click. But unfortunately it shows something like googlepagesyndication2.com .

It gives exact URL when we use for some other traffic resources. But for goole content traffic currently its not working. I asked peter Yoon just 4 days back about this issue. He has promissed to fix this ASAP.

Yes, it can track both MSN and Yahoo.

The feature to track Google Content network is actually done. I'm just adding few more additional features for the next upgrade, which should be sometime next week. I've been pretty busy last couple of months and I apologize that some things got delayed.

P/s: Like "sarahstaar" said, what is Affiliate Prophet Pro..???

Affiliate Prophet Pro is basic version plus
- Taguchi/mutli-variate testing
- Sales Letter Xray (track and visualize where people left the page so you know where the conversion killers are)

I've used it with YSM. I've not used it with MSN AdCenter, but I've actually not used that service before. Unfortunately, I did not test it with content network, and as I was beta testing, no idea what the "Pro" is.

Ok just got this software , but it will not work on godaddy because they do not have Zend Optimizer installed?
I also tried it on GOTWEBHOST.COM with no luck.

So i am moving to hostgator , hope it works.....

YES, Hostgator is fully compatible with this software.

Copy and paste the following code inside the .htaccees file
Code:

This code helps you to call the php within the html file. ( You don't need to change any file to .php).

I too purchased Conversion Prophet a few months ago. This was before I heard about Affiliate Prophet and Affiliate Prophet Pro.

I know it's called "Affiliate" Prophet, but I'd go with it. The big difference to me is that it incorporates search query tracking. Most keyword tracking solutions only show you the bid keyword - search query tracking shows you exactly what the person typed in when they did the search.

Now do you mean just your own site, or your own PRODUCT? If you had your own product, you could just use Google Analytics (and there's a way to set up search query tracking in GA).

  I know that XC can use php and Java, but AP is only with java.

  I used XC until i bought AP. Both are vvery good softwares. But i give more weight to AP and its very user friendly. You don't need to use both of the software at the same time. I hope this helps you.

Hi,
I bought the AP pro a few days ago and have been through all the videos twice as well as the FAQ's. Its still confusing to me on how to setup my google adword tracking correctly. I posted on the forum and received 1 answer that was so short and assuming that it wasn't much help.

Since I am going to be duplicating the process many times over, I want to make sure to set it up right the first time. I have set up ad tracking before with clickable, tracking202 and google conversion tracking. But it never seemed to work correctly with my video sites and my redirects to the Clickbank products.

I am willing to compensate some one for their expert consulting time to review what I have and recommend how to set it up correctly using Affiliate Prophet Pro.

All my mini video sites are using the same design template. I want to track on the keyword level from Google and Yahoo PPC campaigns, to the website, which link was chosen on the landing page, the page getting the best conversion, through to the clickbank sales page and through to my bonus page which is on a window that opens in a separate window behind the sales order page and allows the buyer to put in their clickbank invoice payment number to get a set of bonuses.

Should I have separate landing pages for each of the ad servers that are different than just the organic landing page index.php?

At the end of the day, I want to know what keyword works best, which adword ad it came from, what percentage made it through the video to the sales page, did the user click on another part of the landing page without finishing the 30 second video, what percentage of visitors closed or backed out, and did anyone visit the footer pages.

User Friendly Thats Funny......When I saw that in an email I just had to respond....must be from an insider because to me you have to be a developer to all of this and even then unless you designed it yourself you would not have a clue whats going on as their is no support

Maybe it is powerful but its also very difficult to understand, poorly interfaced and very poorly supported and manualled.

Its basically what you would expect an Open Source Piece of software might look like.....unfinished ready for a developer to manipulate it and use as needed...... too bad if your not one

But there is a 60 day money back deal, If this is what I decide to go with...

Would you know of any others that have the AIDA feature?

That's what caught my eye to start with when I started doing my research, that's what I like about Affiliate prophet.

I agree, I got affiliate prophet free because I bought Conversion Prophet just before AP came out. Conversion Prophet was its predecessor with less features.

I've found It's quite buggy and not easy to get working at all plus there have been no updates since Jan31st even though I've found quite a few bugs.

The forum was a good idea when it was released but most of the support on there seems to be done by people who have bought the product, are very good with php and worked out the issues themselves.

The training is quite poor too, yes its done on video but it leaves you with a lot of questions that you then have to hope that you can find the answers for in the forum.

Overall - it could be a great product, I like the AIDA feature and and the Sales Letter X-Ray, but Peter really needs to sort out the bugs and get on top of the support.

Looks like I'm cracking open this dusty ol' string!

I'm currently attempting to resurrect my old Conversion Prophet script purchase and Peter has been most responsive...

Now, I'm looking doign the same with the Affilate Prophet, but am serious looking at how old it is compared to the new broswer tech updates out there!

Still, he has a winner of a concept and could perhaps develop it into a plugin (if someone hasn't already) that would kill it in a WSO!

The Pro version of Affiliate Prophet has what's called Multi-Page Test which is perfect for tracking every page of your Wordpress blogs.

With the regular version of Affiliate Prophet you can only track Wordpress if...
1) the traffic comes from PPC (not organic search engine) or
2) If your Wordpress blog consists of just one page

Hello and thanks in advance for all the great info here. I just purchased ap and am having some trouble.
When I paste the campaign tracking code on my site, just above the <head>
I get an error on the landing page...something like 'cant do this with header'
Then it goes on about an error on the line that I pasted the code in. I use hostgator and have changed the name from 'index.html' to 'index.php'

Is there any guides that are a little more detailed then the ones provided, or has anyone else had this problem?

I can see how to purchase Affiliate Prophet, but how do you purchase the Pro version? I wanna do it in one shot.

Any plans for integration with SpeedPPC?
I like many features in AP.

The keyword tracking code for Adwords editor is not too helpful, as it does not contain campaign name and adgroup name for each keyword.
If you do SpeedPPC style, e.g. 500 keywords each one in its own adgroup, than the tracking code AP generates is not ready to post 500 adgroups in Adwords editor in 5 seconds.

I have used the software and found that the statistics it gives back are often a bit weird.

For example, I get a VASTLY greater number of overall clicks versus unique clicks.

I also used it to track by country and I was only doing 4 countries with Adwords...and...yet AP...was saying I was getting visitors from many other countries.

Overall, I think it could be improved a lot.

Now I'm using GWO and saving up for Split Test Accelerator.

Current price is $97 for the basic product. The sales page on the website makes a compelling presentation. However, it does not work on GoDaddy because they do not have Zend Optimizer installed. All my accounts are on GD and I'm not willing to move any of them --I do not want to have to deal with multiple hosting vendors. Also, it cannot track Google Content networks, and that's a significant downside for my business model.

Dealing with at least 2 domain registrars or hosting vendors also has its own advantages.

Recently I just got a charge of $199 fine by Godaddy just because one of my affiliates send my ads to someone without their consent, and then that 'someone' filed a complaint to Godaddy.

I would love a piece of software that would pinpoint where every visitor on your site quit reading. Instead of guessing that it'll take 10 seconds to read the headline and 15 seconds to read the first 2 paragraphs.

I bought AP about a month ago. I think it probably is powerful on its own but also wish they would integrate with SpeedPPC. I also think that they need much better training. I'm not a code monkey and it needs to be step by step with me. Also, I'm not positive but it doesn't appear as though they automatically download sales reports from my affiliate networks like CB, Hydra, Azoogle, etc. That feature is a must for me.

On a side note, I was able to install it successfully on GoDaddy. I just couldn't use the work local for the local of the MySQL databse. You have to use the actual server address which you can find inside of your phpAdmin section.

The vast majority of phishing sites are installed by malicious users who have found exploits in scripts previously (and legitimately) installed on the account. Hi folks,

I bought AP the other week too. However you need Zend Optimiser installed on your webspace. My web space provider says I can install Zend optimiser by just copying the ZendOptimiser.so file over and then editing the text in the php.ini file.

Any idea where this php.ini file is supposed to be? Because it's not part of the ZendOptimiser files nor part of AP.

Maybe I'm overlooking the obvious and sounding really dense but I'm not all there at the moment. ;-)

I used CP (conversion prophet), it does a good job, but I'm a little unsure of how the 'time spent' on the page works - has anyone used this successfully? I can't seem to find a good correlation between time on the page and actual purchases. I'd like a little more confirmation of it?

Is This site any help for straight out eccommerce sites? I am not affiliate marketer but own several eccommerce sites like the one below. Could it help with long tail in identifying profitable keywords faster? ie some long tails may not have an actionable result for weeks or months.... also maybe for new eccommerce ideas or is this strictly affiliate tracking?

It works with html websites. I didnt use the wordpress with AP. But i have read some threads those explains how to use it with WP. Ask peter yoon before buy it.

I have the Pro version and use it with WP and html sites. You use the MultiPage function for WP, generate the code and put it in the footer. To access the footer section, go to the editor, which is listed under "appearance" on the left hand side, that will take you to the page templates, where you will see the pages listed on the right hand side. Click on footer, scroll all the way to the bottom and paste the code in at the end. But, this only works in the Pro version as far as I know. Hope this helps.

You need to be a bit "tech" in order to use it well. I for one tried very hard to work with it with WP - but it's not as easy as it says on the tin. You need pro version in order to use it on WP. Not for beginner or intermediate, IMHO.

Well, before I requested a refund, I did ask a lot of question on their AP forum re: how to use it with WP. For developer, perhaps, it's a piece of cake, for a non-tech person, it's not really that easy, although there are a lot who say otherwise.

Yea, I,ve been pretty much a regular at the AP forum, and watched the videos over & over. It seems like some of things could be a little tricky.

By the way, what are you trying to do with wp, tracking, I though if that were the case, you just put a piece of code in the footer. Are you making any progress?

I have AP and the are some bugs on it, specially as far as setting your own campaigns driving traffic through mailing lists: AP doesn't record properly the clicks coming from Aweber's cloacked links.

I like AdWatcher much better, even if it's more expensive (monthly fee).
