OMG, Chrome is getting better! I am dumping Firefox. How bout you?

I am not sure if I'm late to discover this..

I just discover the "Chrome Web Store" a moment ago and discover a lot of apps and extension that do much better than FF now.

I was a loyal fan of FF because of the many add on that make my IM research work easier until it crashes my PC a few times. Now, I have the "new" Chrome!

Check this powerful SEO extention Chrome has to offer:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search?q=seo

What's your apps / ext. that help your IM work? Mind you to share? I have jist installed "Ultimate Chrome Flag" that shows PR and Alexa ranking and a lot more details with just a mouse click while you're on the page you're visiting.

Check it out Warriors!

I've been Chrome even when Chrome wasn't cool! It is so clean and fast, blew the rest out of the water.

Thanks for the extension link. That looks like it will come in handy!

I'm hooked on Firefox because of the web developer extension and Firebug. It's the browser I develop in before testing on others.

Chrome has built in developer tools (no firebug need there, trust me).

But atm I am using firefox because of the extensions.

They do have a version of Firebug, at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...knfglimnifench

From the comments it doesn't match up to the FF version, but it is built by the same people and it might not take long before it does match up.

WooRank is very cool. SEO Site Tools, Chrome SEO and SEO SERP also pretty sweet. No clear cut favorite yet but I'm going to work them over this weekend and watch the cream rise.

What has put me off changing to Google Chrome is reading about some security issues with this browser. This was a while ago, and Google Chrome is now up to version 9, so maybe the security side has been improved.

I must admit that using Firefox is getting to be really frustrating as sometimes it takes ages to load when a website uses google analytics. Very often I have to cancel the script as it seems Firefox has crashed.

I recently found out that it is possible to transfer bookmarks between different browsers using a program called "Transmute", so giving up Firefox should no longer be a problem.

I just need some reassurance that Google Chrome is a safe browser to use. Then I wouldn't hesitate to change.

I've used FF for ages now, and I've never had any problems with it. It's fast, and its extensions are awesome. SEOQuake is particularly handy.

Still, I think I'll check out Chrome in the near future.

Well, I love Chrome too but unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge,
Roboform, at least the version I have, isn't compatible with Chrome, so I'm stuck using Firefox and IE for most of my browsing where I need passwords.

But yes, I am beginning to not like Firefox much either.

Haven't tried all yet.. but they all look great. Will test to find out which does the job but won't be trying out everything that seem to do the similar thing. I just look at the user review and rating to decide which one to go for..

Exactly the same manner I am writing reviews for visitors

Hi I am a recent switcher and now use chrome on all of my internet enabled computers. On my laptop I use the browser with 2 additional SEO plugins; one is SEO quack and other is Chrome SEO.

SEO quack I use every time. It's also a very popular one on FF. Didn't use much of Chrome SEO.

By the way, I use FF for firebug, will see if it is available on chrome; PS: chrome already has firebug feature, just click "Inspect" and then use it.

I dumped firefox a looong time ago. Matter of fact I started using chrome when it was in beta (I'm an old-times )

Firefox has been a PITA recently:

    Slow Browsing Speed
    Crashes
Lack of update compatibility for plugins
    etc.

I used to only use firefox for SEO plugins but now most of them are also available for google chrome so I use firefox maybe once in a month just to see how it looks like

FF is absolutely horrible - many people moved because it was "quicker", "more secure" and so on than IE, but to get anything meaningful from it, you have to install a bunch of plugins ending in a bloated, insecure, slow browser .... or IE.... joe blogs said it was cool, so brother blogs moved as well, and so on....

By the time i've loaded up the browser, with 5 tabs and everthing is sorted, im well under way when doing the same in chrome - the speed was obvious in the alpha release, yet alone beta.

Disclaimer: I am, however, a bit of a google api fan - android, goo.gl, google tv, wave, chrome = 'do one' apple

Chrome is great for the most part and for developers (and IMO internet marketers) should be the must-have browser. However, at the end of the day the browser /I/ use is meaningless really - its what my /customers/ use that is important and sadly, IE is still the majority there.

Well, I had to switch to Chrome temporarily this weekend. I was trying to install the free Google phone service with FF and couldn't do it. Finally it dawned on me to try it with Chrome and that worked, fast, simple, and first time.

I also had to switch over for another reason lately. Not permanent with it yet, but it might go that way.

The biggest advantage to me is memory usage. I often have a dozen or more tabs open at a time. FF does not free up the memory as you close tabs. Chrome will eventually free up the memory each time you close a tab. Nothing worse on a machine than to have FF taking up 700K of memory and without shutting down all the tabs, if does not get freed up.

Up until that point, I was ALL Firefox.

Hi, I'm Scott and I'm addicted to Chrome.

    There, I said it.

Seriously, I didn't think anything could beat FF once I began using it, particularly with all of the cool extensions, specifically FireFTP, which I use every day to manage the ClickBump Member's dashboard.

However, once I started using Chrome, its my goto browser. Lots to love and super fast and uncluttered.

The only time I reach for another browser is for compatibility testing of new CE4 template releases and when I need to access FireFTP (which is Firefox only currently).

I use Chrome as my default browser, but one thing that annoys me about it is that it doesn't seem to know what to do with streaming audio.
For example, the following url: KUHF Classical Music.
Internet Explorer opens it in Windows Media Player, then I can close IE and the music plays.
Chrome thinks I want to save it, so opens a Save As dialog box.

I've been using Chrome since beta, but I do use Firefox for certain plugins that I find invaluable.

Here's how I look at the 3 major browsers:

Firefox - SUV. It's slow and chugs gas like there's no tomorrow, but it's very reliable and you have so many customizations and plugins for it that make it a really good workhorse.

Chrome - Nascar. It's super fast, but dies in horrible explosions when something bad happens. I like how it takes thumbshots of your most visited sites as the default page rather than forcing you onto a search engine or msn.com.

IE - Sedan. Gets you where you want, but it doesn't really do anything good. Extremely sensitive to javascript. Unfortunately this is still the #1 browser for most people.
