List Builders, how good are they?

Hello

I have recently signed up to thelistauction.com, a list builder but essentially its a way of sending 3000 e-mails every three days to the current members of the site.Has anyone heard of these list builders and what are the best free techniques to use to maximise the benefits. I ask this question because it seems everyone who is a member on this site just spams every other member, which obviously gets a bit tedious after a while.

Anyone had any real success with these types of system mailers, if so how did you stand out from the rest?

    I've not seen TheListAuction, but I'd be a little afraid to use it.
    If the list is being used by more than 5 people, then you're wasting your money. The letters will simply go into the Spam box of the listees.

    I've been using BlueHornet.com to build my list. I offer a 'put your eMail in for specials' form on my home pages. It populates the list nicely and all of the names are mine.

    I'll check out the ListAuction site. Interesting.

    I highly suggest building your own list from PPC, Seo, JV's, sources or others if you want a high quality list

    Most of these lists builders are low quality sign ups.

    That actually sounds more like the safelist model. If everyone on the site is there to send emails to one another, there probably won't be a very good response.

    I have been in groups that have used this type of service and got great results. Although, you emails goes out to members they are still consumers and may need your product.

    Instead of sending them straight to your sales page send them to an opt-in page and offer some free stuff as an incentive.

    You can't beat the price for this service.

      You would be better off building your own list. It will take some time, however in the long run it will be worth it.

    I have had mix fo results, found viralurl to be reasonably good,
    you sohuld noly use them to get in optin through Free course/Ebook,

    consistency is key though
