Instant Form Pro By Joel Comm

Hi:

Did any of you feel the need to get this product?

Why this ($197) and not wufoo.com which is free?

Is this something you need or no?

Is there another way to survey your customer or is this the most useful way?

Is Instant Form Pro the most profesional?

    Hey mate.
I just recently looked into a whole bunch of form making scripts and software and ended up buying one called 'Form Maker Pro' which is pretty good and easy enough to use for the price. Their support is responsive as I've used them already for customizing stuff. You can make changes to any form code you need too which is helpful.

I haven't actually used 'Instant Form Pro' By Joel yet, I've read up on it though and it looks pretty promising to me as far as functionality/ features go. It may be one of the easiest to use too.

Woofoo seems to be great and is real simple to use but the free version wasn't professional enough for me with ad serving, and various limitations, etc. After doing a year with any of the paid form programs out there you're going to be better off making the initial investment for your own server based software, I'd say..

    Having considered these things I'd have to suggest either paying some extra for the slightly fancier software Joel's got out;
Or, I think it's about $69.95 for the one I'm using successfully at the moment which I'm in a better position to recommend (Form Maker Pro). It's at http://www.form-maker-pro.com/
Gotta say it sure was a headache trying to find a worthwhile one until I stumbled on this.

If you're just out to survey your customers I think you'd get away with using either Survey Monkey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/ which has a basic version for free,
or there's one called Ask DataBase which you can do a $1 trial for 21 days with: http://www.askdatabase.com/

That said, if you're just after a short survey with a limited number of participants, and if it doesn't matter about professionalism quite so much, Woofoo may still suit you.

    Cheers,

You can use survey monkey and if you want to integrate it a little you can cloak the link.

Just to give people a heads up, Joels software is a PLR version of Appnitro's MachForm 2.0 with some customizations added in. You can get MachForm for like $30 and it works pretty damn good as is...

        Hey Charles,

Just found this thread, and wanted you to know that there's another online survey app at surveygizmo.com

I used it a few months ago, and it was quite powerful and flexible. I forget all the details now, but it's free for up to 300 or so respondents per survey - after that there's a fee.

It also had a way that you could either integrate it into your own website, or if you chose to keep it right there on their site, you could select a color scheme that matched the look of your site.

Haven't tried surveymonkey, so I have no means of comparison.

        Hope this helps,

        - Kat

I see now that Joel is actually offering a good deal. The company that Gorilla Writer mentions is $39 for one site. Joel's is, I believe $197 for unlimited sites. I think for a "10 pack" the other company is $309 which is supposed to be a bargain. But I still thank Gorilla Writer because I would not have known that had he not posted.

Actually when you go to the Instant Form Pro Site you can get $50 off of the $197. That may or may not still be a bargain. Based on the response here, I think that a discount may be in the making. The sweet spot may be in the $67 to $97 range. I think he may be trying to recoup development costs right now.

I want it, but I will maybe hold out until I have to have it. Maybe I will use wufoo until then.

      Charles,

Interestingly, I checked out their demo. It seems you can create your form then use the embed code to put it on any site you want - so I see no need to buy more than one license.

So, create your forms/surveys on the one installed site, then use the embed iframe code supplied to put the form on any of your other sites.

I did not see that being against their terms...if I am mistaken, let me know.

Just want to follow up that while IFP is a joint venture with AppNitro, we added a number of marketing upgrades exclusive to our version.

          • Use on Unlimited Domains (as opposed to 1, Machform 10 license pak $309)
          • Custom Thank You Pages with WYSIWYG
          • Built in Affiliate link on footer and thank you
          • Earn 40% on Every Sale (machform has no affiliate program)
          • Bonus reports for use on Thank you page
          • Simpler installation (takes less time)
          • Extensive video tutorials
          • Automatic upsell of our products on thank you page (optional)
It also makes a great wordpress blog contact form. You can edit the css and embed the code easily into just about anything.

Once you buy it, you own it... no monthly payments and best of all.. Every person who uses your form can purchase it via your affiliate link.

2.5 sales and you basically get IFP for free.... not to mention any commissions you earn from our optional product upsell on the thank you page.

Like I said.. we designed it for Internet Marketers which makes it great for warriors..

Oh.. and did I mention it now works with Aweber?

I spent about 10 minutes looking over their script, and I'm not going to write a whitepaper on the differences.

I'll just highlight what I think are a few major differences.

    1. IFP is more intuitive, ajax based and user friendly. An IFP user will have their first form created in a couple of minutes.. I expect a higher learning curve with FMP based on their demo.
    2. IFP has a more professional form design and easily customizable css.
    3. I don't see any built-in ability in FMP to embed forms into blogs, sites etc. as far as I can tell they are standalone pages. This is huge and an extremely popular feature.
    4. IFP allows you to export data in CSV, or Excel and has a beautiful data viewer built into the admin backend.
    5. IFP has a more advanced Captcha system, actually 2 captcha systems.
    6. IFP integrates with Aweber (once again, this is huge)
    7. IFP can be installed in less than 5 minutes (3 minutes to upload, 1 minute to create DB, 1 min to run install script)
    8. IFP has demo form tutorial videos
    9. IFP has custom wysiwyg thank you pages designed for upsells.
    10. IFP has an affiliate program
    11. We designed IFP for Internet Marketers, looks like they designed for programmers.

    And the shocker..

IFP is $100 cheaper than Form Maker Pro.

They charge $249.95 for unlimited installs. We charge $147.00 for unlimited installs. Sure you can buy it for $69.95 but you can only install it on one site. Fine for some people, but marketers like to run multiple installs.

    Hope that helps..

Looking into IFP as well but am a little concerned with the one off price to tell you the truth. Looks like a great product but is it still being updated and supported?

Another question I had is if we could integrate payments at a minimum with paypal? Wufoo offers this which is great but I want to find a self hosted version. If IFP offers payment integration and anyone can vouch that support and updates are happening I'm in!

Our reputation for support is well known. We have a support desk and you can email me anytime with an IFP question as well.

We have no updates planned for IFP, nor have our customers really asked for any thus far.

It does what it says, works great and I personally use it everyday.

      We also offer free installation.

As far as integration with Paypal that would depend on how you plan to implement it, however, we have nothing built in. This has never been asked before, however when someone submits a form you can direct them anywhere you wish, so if that's to a paypal link that's not a problem.

We also give you the full source code of the script to work with, so you can hire programmers to do custom coding

      Hope this helps..

For some reason your support desk does not seem to be working. I need to get a new download for this tool and the system does not want to recognize me.

I have had a support ticket in since this morning.

        Many thanks,

          Sam,

The support desk is working. I'm not sure if you're saying you received an error of some kind or that you just haven't had a response since you posted the ticket this morning.

Since we only average about a ticket a week for this product, the support staff just checks randomly a couple times a day.

I apologize for the delay and I'll respond to your ticket now.
