Has anyone purchased and used this plug-in. http://www.wp-instantpay.com/

Very interesting with a great set of features. I would appreciate any constructive information from someone that has used the product.

Thanks,
Allan

Looks like it will take give many existing products a run for there money.

    My Questions are:

    1. Does it customers to an auto responder?
    2. Will the IRS really not count this as income when part of the payment goes to the affiliate.
    3. Does the affiliate have a long process to go through to sign up and give permission to Paypal to yank money out of their account.

Just signed up as an affiliate and that was an easy process. Other two questions remain.

Looking at the documentation, it appears to add customers to some type of custom auto-responder.

Hopefully they'll look at supporting the main auto-responders in the near future.

Would be good to get any feedback from someone using the system.

    Hello,

Here is some information I received in an email from Icansoft regarding WP InstantPay.

Based on the feedback so far, I put together a quick little FAQ for you below. Also, for those of you who kindly pointed out a couple of discrepancies between the sales and help pages, those have all been updated.

    Q. Why does the thank you page show a 0% affiliate commission?
    A. I used the built-in commission token on that page and because the affiliate commission is presently set 0% it was reflected there. On May 15 that commission will be changed to 50%, which is when the affiliate program goes live. Please wait for my email before you begin promoting it!

    Q. Can I install one than one copy of WP InstantPay?
    A. Yes - you may install as many copies as you want provided you are using the same PayPal account on all of them. If you need to install one or more copies using a different PayPal account, you will need to purchase additional copies of WP InstantPay because we are licensing this per PayPal account.

    Q. Why doesn't it display the customer's name in the reports?
    A. This is an issue with the PayPal API itself - it returns a different IPN than the standard one, which, unfortunately does not include the customer's first or last name. We will jump on this as soon as PayPal adds it.

    Q. Are you going to support Coupon Codes?
    A. Yes, we are - most likely in the first upgrade coming within the month.

    Q. Are you going to support Recurring Payments?
    A. Yes we are - I am waiting on an issue with the API to be resolved before we can deploy it.

    Q. Are you going to provide support for 3rd party AutoResponder integration?
    A. Yes - this is in progress.

    Q. Can I offer suggestions for future upgrades?
    A. Absolutely - as long as the suggestion will tend to benefit most users, I'd be more than happy to incorporate them if at all possible.

I also asked about eliminating the need for 1099 forms. Here is the response.

That is correct - because both you as the seller and your affiliates are paid at the time of sale, the amount the affiliate receives never goes on your "Books". The customer is paying the affiliate directly rather you as the middleman...cool huh?

Thanks to Big Mike and Ralph at Icansoft for their time and information.

It's a pity there is not a refund g/tee on this.

Nothing personal against the vendors but
I've been had by WF luminaries before so I am
reluctant to buy even good looking products
(like this one!) when there is no money back
    guarantee.

If a buyer registers the script to process one Paypal email
account, how hard would it be to turn off that one
account at the time of refunding? Just a question...

NOTE: You must have a PayPal Business Account to obtain the API information needed.

      Hope that helps.

        Hi Allan,

I don't have a Paypal business account but checked my options at Paypal anyway and I got all the API credentials, so I guess this also works with a Paypal Premier account.

      Hi All,
I can't comment on this product specifically because I haven't bought it yet.

However, I did want to say that I have purchased MANY of Icansoft's scripts & software. I can say that 98% of the time they work perfectly out of the box and when they don't Mike is all over it, responding quickly with clarification when needed and/or gets things fixed and an update out fast.

I have NEVER had a negative experience with Mike or Icansoft.

I'm not even an affiliate for Icansoft ... just a satisfied repeat customer.

      Hope that helps!

I'm purchasing this product as I 've been waiting on something simpler than RAP and this seems to fit the bill. Even though I haven't like all of their products Incansoft's stuff is usually quality and if you cant get it to work they'll bend over backwards to get it running for you.

    Mike,

Can WP InstantPay be used with any WP theme?

Do I understand correctly, that WP InstantPay is installed on a single, central-hub site and not on the individual product site? WP InstantPay then handles all the work from its installed location? So the 9 templates that WP InstantPay creates are used on the central site and not the product site?

    Thanks for the information.

Hey Mike, thanks for the update. Sorry to belabor the point, but I want to be certain I fully understand the concept.

For the 1 blog install of WP InstantPay, that blog would have 10 sales pages (plus the other template pages) on it if I were selling 10 products?

Do you have a live sample of this so that I may view and look around to better understand?

        Thanks again,

Here it is my test site / product:

IM Content Tracker v1.0 | Internet Marketing Courses

NOTE: There is no product to download yet so please don't buy it (first time I say "don't buy it..." )

Support has been very fast to contest all questions and the script works with no issues.

The only "thing" I think it should be changed would be the affiliate process. Already contacted support about this and received positive feedback. (just pushing it here )

In my case I have 3 offers:

    Personal Version
    - OTO PLR Version
    PLR Version

When affiliates register they do it just for one product. They are not included as affiliates for OTO and the PLR offer. I think this should be a "one registration do it all" type of process.

Beside this "issue" I totally recommend wp instantpay.

    Big Mike,

Great work here. I already bought a copy because I'm familiar with the quality of your work. If you don't mind, I'll abuse this space with a few feature requests...

    > Allow affiliates to login and check stats in an Affiliate area.
    > Add affiliates to a separate AR.
    > TID support so affiliate can track PPC subcampaigns.
    > Affiliate area with banner, tweet, email, etc promo tools.

Great work as usual. I'm really glad you guys came out with a solution for this. This pretty much gives anyone the ability to run a program similar to DigiResults on their own server (without the 3rd party fees).

Each member of the Incansoft team lives in a different part of the world in various time zones. They also have many products to support and probably receive hundreds of support tickets on a daily basis.

Using the phone to resolve customer service issues would likely bring their business and development efforts to a halt. That's why they've chosen email as their support medium. "Email tag" is common in today's software age. Wishlist Member, 1ShoppingCart and even Kayako, arguably the world's best help desk software, use email to resolve customer issues. And the solutions mentioned cost way more than than Incansoft's dirt-cheap one-time sofware.

I recommend sticking to the email support and keeping a positive attitude. They will get it worked out. It just takes some patience. It also helps to use video to record and outline problems. Free services like Screenr | Instant screencasts: Just click record are perfect for showing software teams problems you might be experiencing. I can't stress how much this helps out the support teams at software companies.

I guess I'm just frustrated because the answers I'm getting are generic "go over the documentation"...and its like look I've already told you I read the documentation my issues are things not addressed in the documentation Its almost as if they didn't even read my email.

I will record my issue that is a good idea. I understand a lot of companies can't afford to get on the phone but at the same time its been 4 days now 5 minutes on the phone I'd be one less issue to deal with that's just how I see i guess.

I love the idea the software offers I'd just like to get it to work

        ps thanks for the advice

There is no problem with the plugin itself - your issue is understanding how to implement it. From your very first question, Ralph has pointed out where in the documentation the answer was. He's bent over backwards trying to help you and he's utterly confused about what you're trying to do or why you keep changing things.

We offer free email support, for which you've sent something like 25 emails so far. We charge for telephone support and so encourage customers to try to do things via email, which is free.

        WP InstantPay :
        Mike,

Yes he helped me understand that I can't delete or change the page that WPIP creates. (that was the only thing I was changing)

Most of my emails consist of me updating Ralph on things I've figured out so he doesn't have to waste his time with it or me saying "no ralph that's not the problem this is the problem"

The plugin is not working on my site. The uploading function doesn't work. I've explained this to him numerous times. I asked about getting an API ID. He told me to refer to the documentation. The documentation linked to incorrect information on the subject. There were 2 links telling me about getting the Api sig (then it was updated and fixed). He told me I need to have a few things in place on my sales page because there is a new way you handle API IDS which is fine.

So I did those i put down the refund policy and the rest of the criteria needed. Then I was told that can't be your sales page??? its the sales page wpip generated its the sales page. If its wrong I'd like t be told Whats with it not just... "its wrong"

Then i wanted to know what the affiliate address would be if I manually entered the affiliates myself which is what i wanted to do for some of my partners..

That isn't covered in the doc nor is the uploading issue so being told to refer to the documentation didn't work for me. I've sent in a screen recording of the issues so you can see it 1st hand.

Forgive me for being persistent maybe even annoying but im not trying to get a refund I just want to get this plugin working so i move on with my business

            Mike,

this post was posted before I got his new emails.

I have files that I upload to my host that are 500-700 megs in size and I have unlimited space so I know that isn't the issue. For some reason using the plugiin I can't upload anything over 4-6 megs but with an ftp client I can upload whatever size I want. I don't mind uploading it via ftp then simply renaming it to the product name.zip if that's something that can be done without messing anything up.

No I don't understand the purpose of the tokens i'll see if I can find it somewhere in the doc. I would like to use my own buttons if possible.

            No problem I'll start over

FYI...That sounds like a very common PHP upload limitation. If you contact your host, they'll confirm this and expand your upload size.

10 meg is probably on the high end as far as shared hosting (normal single site and reseller hosting packages) goes. For more that than you would probably need a dedicated or VPN package.

Most people use ftp to upload their big files because the hosts have such low limits on how much you can upload through php applications.

Agreed, 500mb is on the high side. My shared Hostgator account had a max of 64mb. I have to FTP anything larger than 64mb.

Does wp instantpay record the buyer email? Can wp instantpay be set for the buyer to automatically be an affiliate? If I offer an upsell does the buyer have to go through the whole paypal login again? With the affiliate part I want to offer a page were my affiliates can get access to the banners, text links and general teaching ideas, can I do that? Can wp instantpay split the % more than 3 ways?

I can confirm that the plugin works with a paypal premier account.

Am I reading correctly and understanding that the plugin is limiting upload sizes? Confused.

My shared host provider gave me a custom php.ini file with a upload size of 300 meg and increased the php execution time. I still cannot upload a large file. Seems anything over 10 meg (or so) fails?

Found this thread by hosting support sending me the link.

I will add that support by Mr Ralph has been nothing but excellent.

Is it just possible to upload your download file via ftp and tell WP IP to link that file to product?

Can we store files below public html?

          Hey Andy.

I have no luck uploading via FTP and associating the file with the product. End up with a "zero bytes" zip file after downloading. Not sure if there is a checksum or something preventing. Would suggest that you contact them over at http://www.wp-instantpay.com (turn your speakers down) and see if they have figured out how to do this.

There is a set directory for downloads and yes it is above / below the public_html folder.

          Hope this will help Andy.

I still cannot get large files to upload. Pretty much given up on trying as it has consumed many hours already. Maybe there will be a new release, have been told this but not a clue when.

Thanks Terry, I would have thought if you just create a new item, upload a dummy zip file via the WP IP system, then upload the real large zip via FTP overwriting the dummy it would work, correct me if I'm wrong?

Has not worked out that way for me Andy, but could be me or my hosting.

Have tried that method and once the original file is over written, get nothing but zero byte zips after making test purchase and downloading.

Suggest you contact their support and see if you can get it working that way, as I said above could be me. Do not want to point fingers as I am just a novice when it comes to technical issues like this.

With regards to refunds, are we tied into having a specific one?

What if I do not wish to offer refunds at all?
