Anyone bought infomillionaire?

The video by Frank is very convincing and I am very interested in it but it was sold out before I got a chance to see the salesletter knowing what it is all about.

Can anyone share some info?

thks

Yeah, I managed to get my order in just before it closed. When I went back to watch the video again it was sold out. When it arrives I'll post back.

I got the package I believe it is about entering into a niche and creating a product/sales funnel.

I'll know more after it arrives!

An e-mail from J-Mo said that they are opening more spots once they have more created. The apparently didn't want to have people order more than they had on hand.

I've gone through about half the videos and the main manual, and here are a few observations so far (note: haven't looked at the monthly component yet) :

        1. A lot of people have made money with this model. Things are covered from a fairly high level, especially the PPC section. No complaints, since this isn't promoted as a advanced PPC course.

        2. Trey recommends his choice for tools and then uses those in the course. The tools he recommends are great. All the links to the tools are of course affiliate links. Normal marketing here..... but it would be nice to offer other tools that are less expensive for the newbie as an alternative. For the recommended tools it should also be disclosed that you need to fork over about $1,100 in the first year (the most expensive tool is $400 after the first 30 days). Some of the tools have a free trial (from 7 days to 30 days). Of course if you pick the right niches + Clickbank products + setup your PPC campaigns correctly + have good copy on your opt-in page, you will make this up over time.

        3. Surprised that they recommend disabling the double opt-in from aweber. Is that considered a best practice with lead capture to affiliate sites?

        4. The Landing page generator software didn't work. I submitted a ticket. I'm sure this will be fixed in short order (looked like a missing or mis-named php file)

        5. Are there any special considerations (from Google's perspective) in driving PPC traffic to a simple opt-in page (hosted on your domain) that then takes you to an Clickbank product?

All in all, Lots of good basic info (plus some PPC stuff that I guess goes a bit beyond basics for some). Anyone care to chime in on the questions above?

To be honest though I like the course but it is missing a lot of tibit information, like follow up samples. Need to write 30 of them.

Actually before I was going to say they did not tell you to turn off the opt-in option, I played the video again and they did. I forgot to do that when I was setting it up.

Well to be honest so far with my efforts I only earned 19.97 and that was with out the landing page option. On the other project that I worked harder on I got more opt-ins but no sales.

        A few thousand people ordered.

A few hundred people probably submitted tickets for something.

Sending multiple support tickets only slows down their response.

Just got it today, great content for someone fairly new to IM like myself, 2 of the pieces of software that are hosted on their site are not working. I sent in a support ticket. Hopefully will get an answer soon. I did buy into one of the upsells, a monthly subscription. The product is certainly worth the $10. Not so sure about the monthly subscription yet. Only downside so far was they claimed they would send out a tracking link when the product shipped. Never got one. I know it might not seem like a big deal but in my book, don't tell your customer they are gonna get something and not do it, no matter how small. I know it may seem a bit anal but it's one of my pet peeves.

Got it today. took about an hour to read it. If you know nothing about Internet Marketing it's a great value.

All info is valid, but there's nothing in it that you couldn't find right here in the forum. PPC section will confuse and disorient most. The devil is in the details on PPC and most people won't get it from 20 pages or 4 20 minute videos, no matter how good. Keyword research area is good and probably the best info.

The monthly newsletter is more detailed and once again all the information is good advice. But once again it's nothing new, just basics. Start a memberships site, create affiliate program, make your landing page search engine friendly. They do tell you exactly how and provide good examples.

Good info for newbies, but if you're intermediate or above you already know most of the stuff.

I got my package yesterday. I skimmed some of the manual last night. It looks like a fairly good step-by-step guide to affiliate marketing (via Clickbank). The package comes with a CD that has videos, the manual in PDF format, and other tools/links. I found that a couple of the links for the tools did not work (one was for one of the MAIN tools they supplied).

I also did not buy any of the OTOs. As is common with many product launches now, you are automatically subscribed to a monthly program (unless you opt out within 30 days). They supplied the first month's newsletter and CD as well. I also found a broken link on one of the tools on that CD. I submitted support tickets for both items, but have not heard back on either one yet.

FYI, I also noticed that almost all of the products/services (Clickbank, web hosting, etc) that they recommend using are through affiliate links (hidden in a "framed" full page). Nothing inherently wrong with this - they are just using this as a way to generate more "back-end" sales too.

Yea, I bought the free shipping offer, but I didn't take any upsells. I got it today, and the manual looks really long, but I havent read it yet. It also came with a DVD and a CD-rom... but, I haven't checked those out either...

It's funny cus the day after Frank's launch, Mike Filsaime launched his free affiliate website with like the exact same model... (just not as much build up)

I actually got took both of them up on the free trial but, 39.99 for a newsletter? Kinda clowny in my book.

It depends on what those basics are. The bulk of this course is devoted to showing people how to buy hosting, sign up for Aweber, sign up for Adwords, using ftp, etc. I'm pretty sure the folks here complaining about it being too basic aren't being held back by those basic things. They likely already know how to do all of those.

Once you get past those things, the course can be summed up quite simply: Find a Clickbank product that sells, make your own version, sell it. The end. Little detail is given on how to do those things, so maybe when folks say it's too basic, what they really mean is it's too general, with too few details on how to do what it is they're telling you to do.

What would be ideal for a course of this nature would be an over the shoulder, practice what you preach tutorial/case study where they actually research and create a product, put it on the market and sell it. I remember Frank and Ed tried this in the Ultra Underachiever membership, but gave up because they couldn't make it work. I canceled my membership at that point, so don't know if they ever revisited the project and made it work or not.

All in all though, not a bad deal for $10 at all. I've already using the landing page generator to get that ten bucks back several times. It simplified something I was already doing, and anything that makes me more efficient is ok in my book.

Not really expecting anything groundbreaking, but I'll stick around for the next issue. What happens after that is up to them.

I'm glad you said something. You know its much more than just basics because it also teaches a system. The other thing I really liked is that they didn't fluff it all up with a bunch of confusing stuff...they kept it barebone simple for anyone to undertsand, use, and make money.

        I recommend it.

It took me 3 business days to get something from Amazon. I still didn't get this product which is almost 2 weeks since ordered.

I don't think it is a mailing problem.

Anyway, getting back to the basics is a good thing from time to time. Also being able to see how people setup things like their own keyword research or market research may add to your business. These things can always be improved upon.

This is a kid who's major accomplishment is having had me pay for 3 years of college for him and then flunking out, thus wasting 3 years of his life and a lot of my money. He's also tried to create several products online and has probably lost about $2000 or so doing it. So when I asked him what was wrong with the course he said "Well, it's not like these guys Trey and Frank are like Jack Welsch or something I could respect and besides I already know all that stuff, it's just the retarded basics"...and then it goes back to....your 25 years old and how much money have you made in your life not working for me or dad? Then his next objection was "Well it's not going to work for much longer anyway because they are selling it to like 10,000 people, so now we are going to have 10,000 people all trying to do the same thing on clickbank" I did not say anything, but I wanted to ask him if he means 10,000 like him? btw, for anyone worried about that point, my guess is that out the 10,000, that probably 2000 or 3000 never even leave the box. So that leaves 7000 that get used. Of those probably half the people will go through the course, that leaves 3500 used, lets just call it 3000. Then of those people probably only 10% ever "just do it" and half of those probably will think they are too smart to do it how Frank and Trey told them to do it and so they wont get a good result and they will give up and go away.
Frank was one of the faculty at Stompernet when I was a member and he was given the task of getting newbies reach $30 a day with their sites by using the system in infomillionaire.

After a few months people were outraged and angry in the forums because they did exactly what Frank told them to do, but yet did not make any profit.

Frank tried his best and was very helpful, but basic information is just not going to get you anywhere theses days. It would be like hyping up and selling a seo book from 1999 and then expecting it to work in 2009. The basics never change, but they are not going to get you into profit either.

Imagine if current professional athletes used only the basic training information from the 1950s. They just would not stand a chance.

I think your little brother Thomas is probably a genius and can see through things very quickly. He is probably not making any money because he is focused on the wrong thing. Anybody who focuses on making money with a website will usually fail. People who succeed are the ones who want to help people solve a real problem by using a website.

      Hi,

I haven't gone through the whole DVD program yet, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the monthly newsletter.

I read it in about half an hour and it was very basic. I won't be continuing with this part.

Does anyone know how to unsubscribe from the monthly newsletter?

Whilst it will be good for beginners, it seems too basic for me. I am already doing 95% of what I read and doing fine. I just need to increase what I am doing.

Anyway, back to the grind stone...

So if anyone knows how to cancel this newsletter subscription please let me know. They don't exactly make it easy to cancel. I can't find any documentation or contact details on how to do this.

      I agree!

To many people think that if they just get a web site and get on line they will become rich.

It just doesn't work that way. You have to build up your list and you have to want and love to do what your doing.

You have to put some effort into it. I always said, that when I quit my job that I hated years ago, that Internet Marketing was what I loved to do. It's fun.

Isn't it fun to make money from home. Hell yeah it's fun.

So why not get out there and show others how to do it to. But if they don't have the desired to really stick it out for the long haul they will fail, just like the other tire kickers!

This is one of the worst products ever released. Shows you how out of touch Kern and Company have become and are just making a play to grab noobs (like every other dbag "guru")

Every single thing in here can be learned for free.

Amazing they don't tell you anything about Quality Score but tell you that you can run Adwords to a squeeze page by itself.

Kern hasn't run an Adwords campaign for years and made all his money with Clickbank in 2006 or earlier. Dude is completely out of touch now with what works since he gets 100% of his traffic from email and referrals.

I just received mine this morning and have to agree with the above posts about this course being basic and just containing info that is freely available online. I know the classic response to that is it saves you looking ... but in this case there is very little here you could actually act on without having to go and do more research yourself anyway.

Haven't received mine yet either and I gotta say - it's really poor customer service. And speaking as a potential "student" it's also incredibly DE-motivating. Sort of puts the skids on the whole TAKE ACTION! thing if you know what I mean... Not to mention setting a bad example as to how to treat customers and "build a relationship" with them.

And spare me the whole "give 'em a break - it's the holidays" thing. Please. These are self-professed "Infomillionaires" who are supposed experts at product launches. One would think they had reliable printers, fulfillment houses, etc. on speed dial. Not to mention... CALENDARS. I mean, come on. They knew when they were rolling this out - it wasn't done on a whim. It was done, at least in part to surf the "New Year - New Beginnings" wave that sells everything from Weight Watchers to gym memberships this time of year.

*Which is fine.* No complaints or problem there. What's NOT fine though is promising to both ship in two days and send an e-mail confirmation *with tracking number* and not follow through on either. Speaking as someone who's contacted their customer support service I can attest to the fact that you don't get a tracking number after the fact either. Just a (possibly automated) reply regurgitating your address information and assuring you that your order is "on the way."

Hey, maybe it'll show up today. Or tomorrow. And maybe it's great. Maybe it's SO great in fact that not only will it change my life it'll wash away all the feelings of annoyance and frustration I have right now. But so far the two things that Frank and Trey have taught me are that one, if your customer has buyer's remorse before they even get your product you're doing something incredibly wrong and two, I'm really getting tired of people pissing up my leg and telling me it's raining.

I have found the support to be pretty good even on weekends. I also got concerned as well and I just got it Friday. Like everyone states good basic information and will help anyone starting out.

Looking at the booklet and course ware I don't think I will sign-up for the monthly continuity it isn't sticky enough and I really had high hopes that it would be, I know Frank mentioned wanting to hit the goal with continuity this year in MTV style cribs video of 7 figures. I am sure he is going to do it but he needs to up the sticky for monthly continuity it has to be really great content, information, tool something it isn't yet. I am sure he will be just fine without my opinion.

If you are starting out in IM or have been doing it for awhile and feeling overwhelmed with information overload. I know in the past I got to this point "I am like what to do as it seems so many different ways you can be successful in IM, I was frozen in action and ended up doing nothing""

I would suggest looking at this course and just focus on it and take real action everyday and stick with it. It does seem to provide all the information and tools necessary. Keep in mind you can only take on so much starting out.

If you take action I don't see how you can't be successful with this course. Just pick something and do it learn from it you pick this it is a proven successful formula.

i am a big fan of frank kern's having purchased his mass control stuff, which is excellent.

this product by contrast is aimed at someone who is just starting. there are enough kernels of things to follow up on that you would then need the continuity program to learn more.

i've not started with adwords yet, but my understanding was that google frowned upon people using adwords to go to their website that is basically redirecting to their CB hoplink. (well he has a landing page tool that adds in some text but that's basically it).

can anyone who is EXPERIENCED with cb traffic and adwords comment on whether this strategy works? my understanding was that this worked years ago but with the google slap/quality score changes, this is the type of thing google is actively discouraging and they will make it nearly impossible for you to be successful by raising your adwords bid prices or locking you out of certain keywords.

    is this correct?

No product yet. Wonder why all of these offerings from brand name internet marketers are always handled so badly? Since this happens so often to these super successful marketers you have to believe it is done on purpose - just look at the "press" they are getting.

Another bag of xxxx sent out (eventually) to all those willing to put up with this dis-service and pay to have it done to themselves once again. Repetitive and getting to be very boring.

The tide will turn on this treatment of people and it will hurt the good marketers as well as the Kevin Trudeaus out there. Maybe the good guys can try harder to stop the goons mucking this up for everyone.

I just received it today and I live in Australia, haven't really had time to go through all the materials - but from the first impression it seemed like a pretty solid package - no where NEAR as much "stuff" in it as the Mass Control Monthly package - but i remember hearing Frank say that one of the biggest reasons for returns that people gave for that package was that there was TOOO much stuff - each to their own, I loved the fact that it was jam packed with value.

Anyway, Infomillionairse IS about going into a niche and creating your own info product(pretty obvious but I thought i'd spell it out), and the package breaks it down into play by play simplicity which is quite nice.

I believe there's two big challenges with creating info products - one is maintaining your focus. The step by step guide really keeps you on track and would definitely help you do this.

The second is marketing - I mean everything from positioning your product, to the copy writing and adwords ads. This is probably the most important facet of creating an info product and from my brief look at the package I don't believe it covers this topic in the neccesary depth.

But really, if you consider yourself an internet marketer you should take it upon yourself to study a good copywriter like John Carlton, Dean Jackson, Mark Joyner or Clayton Makepeace and read the mandatory marketing books like practically everything Seth Godin has ever written and than start APPLYING that shit...

But once you're ready to start applying and you want a proven strategy to get the ball rolling and you're first info product released, than Infomillionaire is a great course (particularly for the crazy cheap introductory offer price) for you.

  • Finally....some answers.

    Here's the e-mail I got this morning.

    Hi YoYoPro,

    We screwed up.

We sold 4,398 copies of InfoMillionaire and we only had 4,000 in stock. The last
398 orders sort of "snuck in" under the radar.

Bad News: YOU were one of those 398 people.

Good news: We're giving you an ADDITIONAL 30 days free to test out InfoMillionaire
    monthly.

(This means you get TWO free issues as opposed to only one.)

More Good News: Your kit should ship via USPS by Thursday.

Again: Sorry about this. We screwed up. Didn't mean to.

It was my fault. I'd been up for 36 hours working with our programmer on
last minute launch stuff when then site went live and I let the cart stay open
    too long.

    Embarrassed,

    Frank (and Trey)

P.S. Look - I think we should blame this on Trey, really. I mean ... he's the new guy
    and all.

True, i understand the info is out there but for the average internet user looking at making money online, they don't know where to start. There is too much info.

Frank and Trey providing this extremely inexpensive product that is well packaged is great.

It's all relative. If you have time to look around for this info and test it yourself then that's great and probably the best way to go. But most people are lacking time and have very limited time for internet usage especially research and testing etc.

To have an opportunity to be part of Franks sales process at such a low cost is fantastic. In my case it's not what he's selling but how he sells it and how he rolls with it on a monthly basis. Incredible learning opportunity.

I got my package a few days ago.

I read through it a couple times, watched the videos, followed everything step-by-step.

Found what looks like a good CB product. Got my squeeze page made, set up an Adwords campaign like Trey said in the videos and book.

It was all quite simple. The Manual and videos really take you through the whole thing nicely.

I had everything set up and active, and was seeing some good PPC response. Woke up the next morning and checked things out, and found my self being slapped silly by Google.

I've read a bit about Adwords in the past but never felt I knew enough to really make it worth trying out. I guess I was right.

I Should have Looked through the monthly stuff first and tried the Ninja Cloaker.

    a very good product.

And the monthly news letter is worth sticking with too.

There is one problem i had though. to do with the postage tracking they said they would provide. they never did. was quite annoying because i had the package sent to an address of another family member of mine.

luckily i happened to visit when the package arrived so there was no serious issue.

overall a very good package and well worth it.

I received my pack just yesterday and went through it. I learned more from observing the launch process, upsells (what not to do), packaging, delivery of content (manual, newsletter, cdrom, cd). Most people here would know what is being taught but most people in general would have no idea.

The course content is actually pretty good. There was at least 5 things or little tricks that most people would miss or may not know so overall it is a great investment.

Frank is doing what a good marketer wants... sell stuff so it's great to be a part of the process. Great education especially at the price.

Frank also says to teach what you know and anyone can apply his IM teaching techniques into any niche. That's quite powerful really.

Sure I didn't learn much from the infomiollinaire material but I did learn heaps going through the process. I am a happy customer and will continue to subscribe to newsletter.

        A few to do's as a marketer

connect with the customer in a manner that is in no way confronting

provide a story with social proof or evidence of some sort. in this case it was Trey's old workmate who followed Trey's instructions and had great results.

ensure the customer feels that it won't be too hard to understand and follow

        provide an upsell/downsell

provide good quality content and 'actually' over deliver

if possible it's a great idea to provide ongoing monthly content with a subscription that is not too expensive.

provide offline tangible product to increase value

What not to do as a marketer...

sell such a product over the holiday period which causes potential delays for some customers

go too heavy on the upsell/downsell

provide software that wasn't tested properly

        make the videos too long

I wasn't really ready but I actually tested a tactic and it worked to gain a few subscribers to my free success course which later generated approx. $40 in sales without spending too much time or energy and only $7 in adwords.

Once I upgrade my site i plan to invest at least $20 a day on the tactics in this course. And if it proves successful I will simply increase budget.

Very basic course content. Presented well. It was good to have a look at the course, but I have to say that I think I got more from the launch process.

Personally, I probably won't continue the subscription because I am overwhelmed with 'stuff' at the moment and can't justify one more thing on the pile.

This course has the potential to make money IF you work it.

I must have been lucky as I got the package on Christmas eve. I'd agree it's basic but I thought overall it was pretty good nonetheless. I do question the adwords to simple squeeze page strategy due to quality score issues. But that can be worked around by adding more to the squeeze.

I am wondering about continuing with the subscription. I thought it was OPTIONAL and would not continue unless I authorized it?

Hi, just found this forum and thought I'd chime in. I'm brand new to IM and was feeling overwhelmed with information. Infomillionaire has been great for helping to get me up and running. I'm sorry Sue, but that post sounds like a salesletter instead of a real post. Anyone who has spent more than a day in this business can see that this product has zero value. The PPC is worthless, the product research is worthless, and the only real meat to the whole thing is how he tells you how to setup a domain, get web hosting, and setup an Aweber account. All very basic 1st Grade level beginner stuff.

I threw it in the trash.

            My new post...

You know what's funny? The part of Infomillionaire I've been stuck on is writing the sales letters, so I guess I've discovered I'm not so bad at it after all

I'm not sure what makes you think the post isn't real. I talk about what I like about Infomillionaire and what I don't like. Perhaps it's because it's my first post? I just discovered this forum the day I left that post...and I came here to see if anyone else was doing Infomillionaire. Come and join me on twitter and you'll see I'm pretty real (user ID susansierra...I can't post links because I'm new).

Before you insult me and my situation, maybe check into what I'm about first. Watch some of my videos, or check out what a few people are saying on this board... tinyurl.com/amms42

Infomillionaire is exactly what I needed. I'm a radio announcer and my husband is a musician. Neither of us knew a thing about internet marketing until we started our show 2 months ago. I'm internet and computer savvy, but I had no idea people were making a ton of money selling stuff this way. Once I found that out, I wanted to learn more and Infomillionaire was simply the first system I came across that could teach me what I needed to know.

Frank and Trey, thank you for putting this product out. I'm a newbie, and I appreciate what I've learned so far. It sounds like there are some kinks to work out, but I'm certain you'll take care of it and I'm really enjoying the process so far.

I made the decision 2 months ago that I would become a millionaire...figure out how to do it and show others how to do it too. I've "put it out there" and am watching the pieces fall into place. It's incredible what happens when you believe and just let go..

So I read through the whole thing in 45 minutes, it basically is for beginners: how to create a clickbank account, find hosting, software to use to create sites (dreamweaver, ftp etc.) how to create an AdWords account...

I can't really complain since it was free minus shipping, I did order the custom software with resell rights though, I'm just curious if I ClickBank would allow me to promote a software I have resell rights to (if I create my own selling page etc.)

Essentially I have the html and code, and it doesnt mention InfoMillionaire outside of the initial help file, so in theory I could just rebrand it as my own product and promote it on ClickBank, no?

Or if I'll just have to promote it myself via AdWords, SEO, and using DL Guard to deliver it? Anyone know? (I know I cant sell the software in the WSO Forum :-[ )

Dexx, a reseller of mine is promoting through Clickbank. No problem for her. I am not promoting through Clickbank so I don't know if more than one person can promote identical products at the same time.

Ah okay, good to hear Thomas!

I'm thinking it wouldnt so much be identical, outside of the feature the software does.

If I brainstorm a different ways of selling the product, and re-package it user Cover Action Pro etc.

Could make for some quick products to get out there! I'll give it a spin this weekend maybe see what happens hehe

    Frank Kern is my hero!

I bought his first course that he ever put out. Infact I still use it daily.

From his business Mining Gold Corporation.

It came with some CD's called Internet Marketing Spy Videos by Frank Kern and Shawn Casey. (Very good stuff)

A Binder product by Jeff Paul called "Instant Profit Marketing-101 Secrets To A Six-Figure Income!"

3 floppy disks, who used that any more. LOL!

A second Binder called "Jeff Paul's March 1998 Direct Response Marketing Success Two Day Boot Camp" this was 12 cassettes, who use these any more either. LOL

But I still use the written stuff!

I set up my first site yesterday using the Ninja Cloaking software from Infomillionaire and created an Adwords ad but my ads do not show for any of the 25 keywords I have selected and there doesn't seem to be a ton of advertisers for most of the keywords. Normally my ads show up within minutes of creation.

I am not receiving any notices in my Adwords account that there is anything wrong with my ads.

This is a new domain and the only "content" for the site is the index.html file that I created using the cloaking software. The instructions in the video stated to add the index file to a page off the domain. Since the actual domain does not have any content will this throw up a flag from Google or will they even notice that?

I was really excited to use this software because so far all of my affiliate sites are real sites hosted on real domains (not subdomains) and I am looking for a faster way to test an offer without going through all that work.

I sent a support question to Infomillionaire but like my other two questions I sent I am not ecpecting a response any time soon.

          Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum.. If you've been reading this thread, you would have noticed that using the ninja cloaking software violates Googles TOS. The account review process usually takes 5 business days (I have seen longer), but there's a good chance that your account is suspended.

Its not a really a matter of "does it work"

every internet marketing book ever created contains the same information, they just took out any fancy strategies or techniques and go over the basics.

      How to setup clickbank
How to setup a basic website
How to to setup an autoresponder

      etc.

Toss in a couple php scripts to simply link cloaking and pre-sell page creation and voila

A free guide to making millions with a connected monthly subscription to equally basic information.

Basically its great and simple information for those just starting out, but advanced people might be bored...

the fact is, if you follow the basic steps you'll see success.

Just like losing weight -> No pills, powders, etc. -> Just More Calories than you take In.

    OF COURSE it's "Basic Info"!

Why would you stay on for the continuity if he gave you the whole deal all at once?

I bet they do create a clickbank course as part of the monthly. Frank does something like that with Mass Control Monthly where he basically just shows you what he's doing behind the scenes.

Like for the Mass Control Giveaway launch his Monthly content basically took you through the launch process with him, and he shows you WHY he does what he does in his marketing and how to do it.

    It's cool as hell.

Geez, nothing yet huh!? You know what I think it is - it's not just one source selling this Infomillionaire thing. It's a bunch of affiliates. So, if it's a bunch of affiliates, it's also a bunch of affiliates acting as the customer service. If that's really the case, then my assumption is not all affiliates work equally to satisfy the customer.
I was going to order this myself and before I did, I e-mailed in a question to see if the software provided was Mac compatible. I didn't get a response. That's not a good thing. Imagine the response I would get if I wanted to cancel the up-sell on the monthly charges!?
Yeah, can anyone reading this say if the software,e.g., Ninja', and so on - Mac compatible?

Hey this is a bit of a newbie question for any Adwords experts out there. and it pertains to Infomillionaire in which the goal is to promote CB products by using a redirected URL. he has a custom landing page generator but otherwise it's a variant of the "Google Cash" method from a few years back.

Is it legit to promote a site in AdWords using a redirect URL (redirecting your URL to the affiliate site) on Google?

for example if i am promoting this site (these are made up examples so they shouldn't link anywhere)

main site: and I buy a similar URL and redirect it to the main site using my affiliate CB id. and then i buy ADwords to promote my site...is that legit?

I've seen many IM people suggest this strategy for promoting CB products.

However, I just re-read Google's terms and conditions and it appears that this practice is against their terms - see the first item below about "redirect URL's"

    here's what they said:

    "Affiliate Policy

We do not allow data entry affiliates to use AdWords advertising, but all other affiliates may participate in the AdWords program. However, we monitor and don't allow the following:

    * Redirect URLs: Ads that contain URLs that automatically redirect to the parent company.
    * Bridge Pages: Ads for web pages that act as an intermediary, whose sole purpose is to link or redirect traffic to the parent company.
    * Framing: Ads for web pages that replicate the look and feel of a parent site. Your site should not mirror (be similar or nearly identical in appearance to) your parent company's or any other advertiser's site. "

would love input from seasoned affiliate marketers and AdWords experts out there.

    thanks!

Seriously? Hard to believe anyone would sell a product like that...

There's at least one way to promote CB products with Adwords but a straight redirect isn't it. Best case scenario with that is to find 'virgin' territory that doesn't have any other affiliates advertising the same product. Have fun with that.

If you put a page in the middle, offer an information incentive for an opt-in, and make the CB offer your 'thank you' page, you build a list, you can set up an autoresponder sequence for that offer, other offers, etc. and you can make money that way.

Hope that's not their big secret.

well i want to make sure i'm being fair here and i may not have characterized it entirely accurate (still a newbie). they actually have a landing page generator which creates a new landing page. you add a few paragraphs of content so it's "unique" but essentially that page will look like the main site with your few paragraphs of original content above it. don't think there's an opt-in...

    Hi
I'm a Newbie at IM so I thought this would be an ideal package to start with as I really didn't have a clue.
I'm halfway through the book and video and whilst it is a bit of an idiots guide I'm finding tiny little bits of info that are really important to me are missing. When you know nothing about this stuff you tend to hang off every word and if the odd word is missing it takes a lot longer to put it all together.
I'm going to persevere as my own business in the 'Real' world is so quiet and I must earn some money - but how fast - who knows.
The course did lead me to this forum, so that's pretty cool on it's own, and now I don't feel so alone, but it's such early days, I'm floundering still. Like a baby taking first steps, it's all a bit unsure and wobbly!
I did get a great bonus from Frank & Trey, they sent me 3 copies of the course for the price of 1 - not bad hey, perhaps it's an omen to say I'm going to be three times as successful each time!!

    Wish me luck...

You don't need an experienced adwords marketer to tell you what you've already noticed - it says what it says. Google wants variety for surfers, that's why they make such policy.

I've been doing PPC since before AdWords existed - the AdWords TOS you reference came immediately to my mind when I saw the updated "new" LPG video (I never watched the first LPG video - don't know what methods it uses).

mmm..k. well this was all news to me! so doesn't anyone think it is odd that the whole InfoMillionaire approach is then based on doing something that goes counter to Google's TOS? Heck i only paid $9.97 for the intro pack and cancelled but it struck me as a bit odd that this tactic would be the foundation for this system.

is this not odd to anyone else? am i just too new to all of this to be surprised?

I have a quick question for every one who claims to be an advanced marketer. In the offer video by Frank Kern he clearly states that this is a product for complete beginners right? Then why would you buy it if you already feel you are avanced in the industry? Then when you get the package, you talk about how useless it was; I don't get it. So the real question is, are you really soo advanced than you think? Does making one sell or two really make you an advanced marketer? I just want to know coming from a newbie.

It is about getting into a niche and dominating it and making lots of money but what i really liked about it is that in the video presentation frank goes on to talk about how he will show you how to dominate google adwords and get all that traffic the way he does it and also includes a software that makes your ppc google ads more friendly. Hi All

I ordered Infomillionaire on December 18 still haven't received it, got an email this morning saying

"Your Infomillionaire monthly subscription free trial has been extended to 2/17. You will be receiving your NEW tracking number for the Welcome Kit shortly. The original shipment appears to be 'waiting' so we have gone ahead and reshipped it for you.

We apologize for the huge delay! Your card was charged for the monthly subscription today, however we have also issued a refund which should process tomorrow. Your first charge for the subscription will be on 2/17 unless you cancel prior to that date."

Like other Warriors I didn't receive an original tracking number either.

I wonder what they mean by "waiting", I'll email them and let you know

To the expert marketer, Don't forget you were new too once a upon a time. Even though their are upsells, infomillionaire saves you Alot of time researching these things on your own. If all you knew was how to cut and paste then this information would get you were you need to go.

If you know all about the information already, then I have seen several people on this thread alone that got in too late and would probably like to have a copy of it.

Hope that didnt come across the wrong way, but it is the truth.
Frank and Trey did a great job. Things have changed in Google since the slap, but in Franks defense he does mention using Yahoo and MSN search.

Please don't waste your 9.95. The course will surprise you. It is outdated and actually has advice neither Frank or Trey could possibly believe to be beneficial. It is very weak in the knees. Better to go get a large pizza and watch TV.

Please post if you get charged for the subscription and tried to cancel. It is time to stop this type of rip off technique and the only way to do it is to gather together all the instances of this happening to people. With enough victims, maybe we can put a stop to this type of behavior.

It's hard to believe that 2 "cool dudes" who make tons of money would run such a garbage operation - just remember that part of internet marketing success is creating persuasive personas to convince your targets that it's not their fault if you don't make money with their super systems - look how much they make! Oh, and look how much all their friends and affiliates make!
And hey, be cool, chill out, it's guaranteed. Peer pressure still works.

No, they aren't idiots - far from it. 6-7000 people paid 9.95 and now have to try to cancel their subscription to something they do not want before their credit card is charged an exorbitant monthly charge.

    Great concept! Surf's up dudes!

I purchased this product hoping to learn a little about PPC. After it finally arrived (weeks late) I read the material (chock full of spelling and grammar errors) and read what passed for PPC advice. They try to leave you with the impression that it is possible to get tens of thousands of 15 cent Adwords and still get enough traffic to make a business.

Since my experience has been quite different (if you bid 15 cents on either the regular or content networks, you get very little traffic and virtaully no clicks even for many thousands of long tail keywords), I decided to email them and ask a question. So I asked if they could go into more detail about how exactly they do this.

Almost a week later, I received this email:

      ------------------------------------
      Marc,

This is an automatic reply to your email to us regarding a question or two that you had.

Unfortunately we are not able to respond to questions that are 'general' in nature. These questions are welcome, however we will be submitting these questions to Frank and Trey for possible inclusion in upcoming newsletters.

If your question is "Technical" and you have received this response, please resubmit the question using the support site; InfoMillionaire Support and choose the "Technical Issues" category.

      Thank you for your interest!

Tom Wall: I have emailed this reply to your address as well. Judging by your posts here, you might not be receiving my emails so I'll paste what I wrote to you here:

      Tom,

I saw your posts on the Warrior forum here:
      http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...ionaire-3.html

I can understand your frustration about not receiving the package in a timely fashion. I apologize for that and am embarrassed by it.

I see you submitted a refund request on 2 occasions on 1/14.

My system shows you were refunded on 1/15 (for your shipping charges).

It also shows this was sent to you via email:

      "Tom,

We have refunded your order for the Welcome Kt. Your account has been credited. If you happen to receive the kit, please keep it with our compliments. Please let us know if you need anything else.

      Thank you,

      Infomillionaire"

...And that you were never charged for any subscription product.

Judging by your post dated 1/20, you received the package. (Most likely after you initially requested a refund - it was probably in the mail when you requested the refund. No big deal. Keep it on the house.)

I'm assuming you received the package because in your post you called it "weak in the knees" and generally gave it a negative review.

I regret that you didn't find it helpful.

      But here's where I'm puzzled:

      You also posted this:

"Please post if you get charged for the subscription and tried to cancel. It is time to stop this type of rip off technique and the only way to do it is to gather together all the instances of this happening to people. With enough victims, maybe we can put a stop to this type of behavior."

This leads the reader to assume you were unable to cancel and that you have somehow been a "victim".

But according to my records, you were refunded in full ...shipping charges and everything ...within 24 hours of your request.

So it would appear to me that you received my product (for free).

      Is this not the case?

If you did receive it (as your forum post dated 1/20 would lead the reader to believe), why do you imply that you're the "victim" of a "rip off"?

Again, I realize the product took approximately 31 days to arrive at your door and I apologize for that. I am not disputing this fact.

I'd simply like to know how we did you such a disservice that you would imply we ripped you off in a public forum.

      Sincerely,
      Frank Kern

Thought everyone might enjoy reading tsome of the PREDICTIONS FOR 2009 in INTERNET MARKETING by James J Jones that apply to this topic:

    3. Accountability. Be warned -- these newbies are internet savvy and intelligent. Many will be middle managers and executives from the financial industries. They will hold their internet marketing mentors responsible for shoddy product recommendations and unworkable schemes. These are the people who use Facebook the way Facebook was meant to be used. And if you disappoint them they will use their social networks to crush and humiliate you.

    4. A flood of crappy Internet Marketing products. Most will not heed my warning above and will see this influx of marketing newbies as a way to make some quick cash by pumping out rehashed crap and junk that no longer works. If you are an Internet Marketing mentor, reviewer, product creator, or (God forbid!) Guru you should tread with caution for you will be judged.

    5. Backlash against product launch whores. Ok, maybe I'm being a little harsh here but enough is enough! I don't have anything against product launches -- there is nothing inherently wrong with building up anticipation for a product or creating scarcity. Hell, Apple does it all the time. My beef lies with the "copy and paste" affiliates who are simply looking to fleece their subscribers for as much as they can before they realize they're being sheared and hit the unsubscribe link. The day of sending out a canned email launch sequence and waiting for the money to roll in are quickly coming to an end. If you participate in product launches you need to provide some unique and valuable content to your subscribers.

I'm a bit ticked at the whole Infomillionaire. I do like Frank Kern, etc. but this package was so basic, simple, etc. that I canceled my subscription in a heartbeat once I got it. I even contacted their support TWICE...got NO RESPONSES...and they charged me over $40 bucks this month.

Needless to say, I contacted them once again about my frustration and I better get that refunded. I'm not impressed with anything infomillionaire at all. Generic at its very best and horrible customer support. What a let down.

Sure would be nice if Frank Kern, being a member of this forum, would speak up here and explain. Come on Frank, let us know why you have such horrible service on this product and are not responding.

There is no excuse for this kind of "support". I feel like I just got scammed by one of my online hero's and it sucks.

Well this is just embarrassing as hell.

    First: THANK YOU.

Seriously. One one hand, I want to get all defensive (and I will in a sec regarding the product) but on the other, this feedback is invaluable.

The fact is, we got 4,000 customers in 4 hours.

Imagine that - you go from zero to 4,000 customers in 4 hours.

Personally, I've never done that before. So it's been a learning experience.

Naturally, we outsource the shipping. On one hand, I'm very happy that around 90% of our customers received their orders on time and everything was cool.

On the other hand, I feel like a schmuck because around 10% experienced delays. (10% in this case is 400 people. That's a lot of people.)

BIG LESSON: When your fulfillment company says "Yeah, we'll be ready to ship all 4,000 orders on XX date" - ASSUME THEY WILL SCREW UP.

Just add around a week to the date they give you.

I don't think the delays were intentional on their part. But there were delays none the less.

My apologies. At the end of the day, it will fall on YOUR shoulders just like it's falling on mine now.

    Second: SUPPORT DELAYS

OK - this is freaking me out. If any of you guys are "old school" customers of mine, you know I'm a support freak.

I'll own up to a week's delay when we first launched. We totally screwed up and were simply unprepared for the amount of support tickets that came in (over the holidays, no less).

The reason we were unprepared is because my last launch (Mass Control Monthly Trial) went so smoothly and we had 2,000 customers in minutes.

...So I got a little cocky and figured this would go smoothly as well.

    DOH!

Want to know the biggest cause of incoming tickets (that bogged us down and caused a delay)?

    ME BEING A DUMB ASS.

OK - more accurately "lack of communication".

See - in the outgoing receipts, I said "We'll be sending you a tracking number in 2 days".

But I forgot to tell the fulfillment center to send the tracking numbers out when they were generated.

I just ASSumed they would since we did it that way last time.

    Foolish rookie move.

    Third: HELP ME OUT HERE.

There should be NO delays now. We fired one person after they screwed up and sent moronic replies like the one mentioned by "Zortag" above (awesome name, btw) ...and replaced her with three more.

We have FOUR support people now.

So you guys that are not getting responses, please let me know.

Reply with your real name so I can look you up in the system and see what is going on.

We're using InfusionSoft to track all incoming tickets so I should be able to see the exact dates and see what you sent and what was sent to you.

My guess is we've got a deliverability issue (or that I need to kick more asses).

But I need your real names. (Dayne, I don't see a Dayne Dylan. I do see a Dayne H and I see the ball was clearly dropped there. Heads will roll.)

    Mick535 - need a real name.

    NOW, ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

    I stand behind it proudly.

So what if it has grammatical errors. I can't spell worth a damn and I type using three fingers.

The fact is, it's made for newbies.

That should have been clear by the video that sold it when I said "we show you how to cut and paste and how to use FTP".

We developed it after surveying the market (in my own business and in other people's "guru" businesses) and discovered that 70% of customers were stuck on one thing:

    HOW TO GET STARTED.

So the product is addressing specific sticking points that the marketplace TOLD US they were having trouble with.

Like I said in the video, the InfoMillionaire course is designed to get you up and running.

And it's the *exact* system Trey used to bring in over $3.8MM.

Want a magic bullet? here it is:

FUNDAMENTALS + HARD WORK = MONEY

    InfoMillionaire gives you the fundamentals.

The same fundamentals that worked for us.

But you know what really gets me?

I haven't had a thread like this about one of my products in YEARS. And what's awesome is this:

    1. We're getting unsolicited testimonials over Twitter where people are already making money with this stuff that's "So basic".

    This doesn't surprise me.

These people are giving it a try instead of complaining about how "basic" it is.

I mean, why would anyone want a complicated system for making money anyway?

Give me basic and easy any day.

So I *know* it works because people are telling me it works. Regular folks. Customers.

    2. It has the highest stick rate of anything I've released.

Usually on a trial like this, you lose a lot of people immediately because you get a ton of folks who just want the free stuff or whatever. (After all, you don't even have to send anything back if you cancel. You can keep everything for free. Pretty good deal, realy.)

So I was expecting to lose around 35% of the customers right off the bat (that's pretty standard no matter what you're selling).

    Anyway - I was wrong.

Not only are people more people sticking than I expected, but they're posting their successes on Twitter and emailing us as well.

And we even had a few post nice things here, which is cool.

So I'm happy with the customer results and I stand behind InfoMillionaire - typos and all.

I'll ask Trey to post some of the cool twitter success stories so hopefully it'll inspire customers to make money with the product.

End of long ramble ....coffee wearing off....

    Frank

P.S. Again, Sorry about the customer service delays. I will NOT put up with that from my staff. I pay well above the norm and I expect better than this.

If you have a customer service problem that has not been resolved, please reply here with your real name and I'll get to the bottom if it right away.

Yes Frank, that is me...Dayne H. I would appreciate the full refund on the charge that was just issued a few days ago because I DID cancel this right after I got the package...which was weeks ago. I got no response or anything.

Frank, I really appreciate you taking the time to make the big post. It says a lot about you. Yes, I am frustrated to find that charge this morning on my card when I clearly took the right efforts to cancel. But I'm still a fan of yours and the only marketer I really pay attention to.

I have been through the whole program. As I mentioned earlier, there were some bugs with the links to some of their tools at the beginning. I think they got those fixed. I have several problems/complaints about InfoMillionaire:

1.) I NEVER received any kind of response from several questions/support issues that I submitted.
2.) In relation to this, their contact information and support system is VERY lacking. They make it very hard to get in touch with them. The toll-free number they list has a recording on it by Trey (Frank's cousin) that basically says they probably will not respond to any voice messages (but you are welcome to leave one if you want). There is no choice to talk to a live person. He suggests that you leave a ticket on the support website. Mine were never answered.
3.) The information in the book is pretty basic by today's standards (but it was free, so...). The videos are not nearly as professional as others that are available. Trey does (most of) the videos and most of the infomation that is provided is vague and even contradicts much of the PPC advice that is given by other experts now. For example, he combines "search" and "content" campaigns. He slaps hundreds of keywords in an Adgroup - never trying to "group" them in anyway and certainly not using one keyword per Adgroup as many recommend today to get a good quality score. He does mention that they will be going into some of these things in future months. I would rather see how to do it right from the start!
4.) I'll admit up front that I am new to PPC, but using their recommendations and their landing page generator, I set up a couple campaigns in Google. It may well be that I did something else wrong (I don't know), but within one week Google had "slapped" that account and now any campaign I submit through it gets a quality score of "1" and CPC of $10.00 assigned. Google tells me that the landing pages "lack quality".
5.) Based on the problems I have had and the lack of quality that I perceived with the whole "system", I canceled my membership (via the support system again). I never heard from anyone and a monthly charge was run through my bank account (the amount was even MORE than it was suppose to be!). I called and submitted tickets. Again I have never received a response of any kind! I finally just contacted my bank today to dispute the charge.

I do not know Frank or Trey and have not bought any other products from them. Obviously Frank has been around for a while and Trey has made some money from these techniques. But my experience with this product has been much less than what I expected. Maybe they got in over their heads with the huge launch. I don't know.

Its not the $9.95, its the $43.95 for the monthly subscription we have been charged while trying to cancel unsuccessfully.

Frank, (I sent you a PM with my personal information regarding the Infomillionaire order)

I appreciate you coming out here in the forum and giving us all the lowdown on your product and your current support problems. I am a long time marketer, not a guru, and I only just started posting in this forum. I'm not a big forum guy, but I do know a thing or 2 about making money with internet marketing. Mostly on the dark side.

I appreciate your point of view and your book does point straight to beginners. You know as well as I that there is not sufficient detail in how to research and develop an information product. The Clickbank thing was extremely vague. I look at a product like Commission Blueprint, which is almost identical to your course in overall methodology, yet has layer upon layer of detail. I think that by stressing different points, especially points which involve the importance of different tactics which will keep people from losing tons of money with Google Adwords, should have been included. You know what I'm talking about. It is not all as easy as it is made out to be. If it were, we would all be filthy rich and none of us would be talking here in this forum.

I guess the bottom line is that when I ordered this product I had hoped for a product that gave me something I didn't already have. I hoped it would describe to me how to effectively create information products; better than I am already. In the end, I did not see anything that would make me say, "Wow, I can create info products so much more effectively now!" Telling me to copy someone else's product after I found a Clickbank product which is profitable is not what I expected.

Sorry. I appreciate your work and I actually liked the newsletter. It's not worth $43.95 a month, but it wasn't bad.

Once again, I appreciate your honesty and willingness to help us out.

        Thanks.

Well, to be fair, it's not over just 10 bucks, it's over the $47 or whatever it is monthly fee folks don't want to get charged too.

Now I plan on finding other things to do and other ways to supplement my retirement. This has not been a fun ride.
Before you jump off this train to board another, did you ever actually try to do any of the things in all those other products you bought? Is it an issue of the techniques not working, or is an issue of you not working the techniques? More often than not, it tends to be the latter. Since you got Infomillionaire(for free no less), why not do what it says to do?

Well, it's more than the $10. It's more than the $40+ continuity.
Frank was promoting more than a program or a how-to guide.
He was promoting hope and dreams. He did a fine job of it, too.

If I were a total cornball, I'd say he "had me at hello" with his
videos and initial emails. But since I'm pretty much a level-headed
lady, I'll just say I like the guy and his reputation precedes him.

I have Infomillionaire and initially, I was happy with it. Even though
I've known *what* I need to do, I didn't know *how* to do it. Frank
and Trey do a good job of connecting the dots. Being technically
challenged, the "how" was worth waaay more than $10. Thanks, Frank
        and Trey for that.

But then I read the posts here - and other blog posts as well- discussing
the relationship between Frank's landing page generator (that includes
the Ninja version) and Google. One day success, then Google slaps, then..
what? I can't afford to throw money away on an outdated strategy that is
doomed to fail from the start. And yea, I follow someone on Twitter
that did have success on day one. But then... not so much. Slappped
silly by Google? I don't know.

What I would really love to see is Frank address the issues regarding
his landing page generator and how it fits in with what All Mighty Google
deems acceptable. That is my only issue. I don't care if he can spell,
I don't even care if his customer service stinks at this point. (Oh, I
need to mention Frank personally answered an email about product
delivery within 24 hrs - that was nice.)

The bottom line is just let me know my faith in another guru has not
        been misplaced.

For the record, I did cancel my subscription earlier. Then I come here and
find Frank's replies and I'm wondering if I was too hasty in my decision to
cancel. Maybe he'll make things right and explain how his system does not
contradict Google's best practice. If that's the case, I hope I can get
back in somehow. If not, he won't miss my $40 a month. And I know for
sure there are other honorable folks out there I can rely on.

As of today, I still have faith in Frank. Not only because of my own
observations and judgments, but because a dear friend works
closely with him tells me he's one of the good guys. And because he's
a good ole boy from Georgia. That goes along way in these parts :0

        Best,
        Pam

You do raise a valid point. The lower the price point, the higher the customer service expectations.

    At least in this niche.

HOWEVER - we did screw up the shipping with about 10% of our orders on that first batch so folks have a right to be upset.

I bought it also. Even bought the upsell to the Frank Kern & John Reese secret video footage for $197. Almost bought the software but don't know how to evaluate it as I am brand new to IM! But here is what I've learned about the company so far. I sent a support ticket becaue I was unable to open up the videos using real player. They said how'd the answer all support questions in a very timely manner. It's been 4 days now and I haven't heard anything! Gets me a little concerned aboutthe integrity of the company!

Dear Warrior members, I want to publicly apologize to Mr. Frank Kern. I took out my frustrations on him and Trey in prior posts and I admit that I overreacted. The product was finally shipped to me - after I had requested a refund and was refunded my money and told that I could keep the product on them for my having to wait 31 days to receive it. I have to admire this from Mr. Kern and the personal email he sent to me asking why I was so upset.

Thank you for that. I know that I had reached the boiling point with info marketers products not living up to their sales pages and the horrible customer service from so many product creators.

I was never charged for the subscription to the magazine - it was cancelled for me as promised.

I apologize to Frank and to Trey. My experiences with internet marketing have left me cold and broke. I am 62 years old and have had one of the most successful sales careers in my field for the last 30 years. I wanted to learn the internet marketing business in a very sincere way to help with retirement.

I had no idea this field was so full of "medicine water" sales people and their shills. On the other hand I am happy to have done business with many, many honest business people along the way this last year.

Frank has always been enjoyable and I like his style a lot. His products were always too high priced for me but sounded interesting. I jumped at this low priced product thinking I could learn from the master so to speak and work up to his more expensive and exotic products.

When the product had not arrived after 3 weeks, I lost it and after reading several posts here, thought I was about to be ripped off once again. I should have been more patient.

Once again - Frank proves he is a decent man and I ask that the rest of you waiting for the product to be patient - it will arrive.

Now I plan on finding other things to do and other ways to supplement my retirement. This has not been a fun ride.

I ordered my copy from the January 2009 batch. Anyone who ordered this year received theirs yet?

Hey, Trey here... Frank emailed me about this and wanted to chime in.

First off I want to sincerely apologize for ANY support or delivery issues.

If you have anything that's not dealt with, send an email to
support@infomillionaire.com with the subject "SEND THIS
TO TREY DAMMIT!" and I will take care of it like NOW.

We should be totally cool on everything, but if anything ever gets out
of hand... you just send a TREY DAMMIT email and I'm on it.

Secondly, I am the world's worst when it comes to grammar. Seriously,
      I'm reeally bad.

      Know what's funny though?

I had this one sales copy in a niche full of grammatical errors and
stuff. I probably got an email about it once a week, but the damn thing
      converted like crazy.

So finally someone emailed me a copy of my sales letter with every
grammatical issue highlighted in an HTML file. I figured that
was a sign and decided to spruce it up.

And believe it or not, I started noticing a small dip in sales. Split
tested it and sure enough it slightly HURT my conversion rate. (I figured
out it's because I typically write like I talk... and the changes took away
some of the flow of the sales page itself.)

Random note there. But regardless, I actually DID send the latest
newsletter to someone to proofread, so we'll see how that works out

OK, so a couple real quick points on the course itself:

      - Yes, it was marketed and made for beginners.

      - The 192 page Infomillionaire Manual is DEFINITELY basic... but ironically
I used the EXACT same method to pull in around $5,000,000 in the three
      years I've been doing this.

      - The idea was to have the Infomillionaire Welcome Kit (big box) be basic
and super easy to digest fundamentals that anyway could learn.

      - The monthly newsletters/CD will contain advanced stuff and basic
fundamentals that are making us a ton of money. (Example: In the next
newsletter we got advanced stuff like 2 clickbank automation scripts, new
technique to beat Google slap for affiliates, etc. Also we'll show you
how we made $26,000 doing something that took us about 5 minutes, but we
almost didn't do. Yup, it was something fundamental that people
      usually forget)

      - We wanted ALL the stuff (fundamental or advanced) to be easy to learn.

So far people are really digging it too.

As Frank mentioned, we've had people emailing us and messaging us on twitter
telling us how much money they've made using the system.

      Which is freakin' awesome.

Here's some of the twitter messages...

This guy logged in his clickbank account shocked to find out he made his first
      $500 using our course:

Twitter / ChrisSpinney: Just logged into Clickbank ...

Another guy immediately made $160 after implementing one thing from the
newsletter (Actually, looks like this is elliot on the forum here... read your
      blog too dude, good stuff):

Twitter / Elliot Webb: @masscontrolkern Thanks to ...

This one is awesome. Chip Cummings sent it to me today.

He came up with an idea a week ago, took action and made $50,000 in one hour
(and quotes infomillionaire for being the cause to take action):

Twitter / ChipCummings: @treysmith Just wanted to ...
      Twitter / ChipCummings: @treysmith Not directly- i ...

All these guys have only received the Welcome Kit. They haven't gotten
      into the advanced stuff yet.

But really, that's not important. The common factor between these guys wasn't
their knowledge of internet marketing or their experience, it is simply the
fact they took action. Heck, the dude who made $50k in an hour even says
that in the second twitter post.

And that is TRULY what it's all about. Taking action. (and having a "roadmap"
and actually knowing what to do doesn't hurt either

Alright, wife just called and needs me to pick up some bread and stuff on the
      way home... gotta run.

      Thanks,

      Trey

P.S. - ThomasW no worries at all. Also, the single best marketing
advice I could give to someone starting out is to test as many different niches
      as possible.

I call it "drilling for oil". I've literally tested probably 90 new niches in the last
6 months even though my business is already doing fine (honestly, I kind of
enjoy it and developed some automation strategies). So many people get
frustrated after a few failures happen... but that is TRULY when you learn the
most. I'm still learning new stuff everyday by staying in the trenches and "failing".
So keep trying and don't give up!

Had to respond to blackhat cat post -
Re-read Mick 535 post. You obviously did not get this product and read the material. Mick 535 did and his post is right on. I apologized for thinking I was going to be one of the unlucky ones who have been experiencing problems getting a refund. After 3 weeks that can happen.

I agree with Mick 535 completely. Getting a refund and an apology shows something, but over all it is amazing that something like this would be allowed to happen from a man who has worked hard to earn a loyal following. As you can see from this thread, you have 2 sides - those who feel the product is not very good and also experienced terrible customer service and the other side who have that smugness about themselves that just irritates the xxxx out of me. The "gee, it's only $10.00 what do you expect, morons?"

Maybe that line should be included in the sales page and videos. Then there would be no need for a thread like this one.

marcanthony - the next time you visit a steak house and after reading the description in the menu for a thick, juicy, aged steak and it is on special for only $9.95 then ordering it - then waiting 4 hours for it to get to the table with no explanation of why it is taking so long - and, you know that in another hour you are going to be charged $47 for your parking and you begin to hear of other diners who never got their steak or if they did get it, it was actually hamburger - don't get upset okay? After all, it was only $9.95

Bottom line - I hope Frank comes out with a new great product and delivers it on time and everyone lives happily after. It would also be nice to see the defenders of this product and this lack of customer service stop sucking up long enough to learn from this experience.

I can still respect a master marketer like Frank Kern - anyone can make a mistake - and he has done his best to rectfy the situation and return money to those who asked for it back. He is too good for this - however his rabid defenders have not purchased the product, read the maual, watched the video, or experienced any of the problems people are rightly bringing up on this thread. You are the problem with internet marketing right now. Smug know it alls who look down on your "newbie" customers as complainers and whiners.

I hope Frank wins people back by doing the right things and I hope everyone on this thread remembers the ones who have sneered and ridiculed them for having legitimate complaints and that no one purchases anything from them.
Their are many honest marketers with excellent products who respect those of us who are kust starting out and trying to learn the ropes. Deal with them only - support the good guys and women in this field of endeavor.

      WHAT The F???

All you've done here is make me hungry!

      Look...

I, like many of you had the same issue...

      Except...

I actually bought Infomillionaire because I was interested more in Infomillionaire monthly...

I wanted to see how it compared to The Net Effect(Stompernet's monthly newsletter)

In the end--I decided to cancel Infomillionaire monthly--and I haven't been able to successfully do so yet... not the end of the world!

      My point is this... whether it's 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 bucks--so f-ing what--everything will be worked out

Every so-called "problem" has a solution. I hardly find--complaining in a marketing forum as being one.

Originally Posted by ThomasW View Post

I can assure you that trivial stuff never upsets me...

Honestly, what results do you ever get in return from being upset?

Being upset doesn't do a damn thing... It definitely doesn't solve problems. If anything it makes problems worse for the upset party

If the police arrest you for being in a drunken bar fight--and they take you to jail--you can get as upset as you want--you're still going to jail.

Listen... I understand the frustrations--I also realize that this is the product review section of the forum--this is where people have an open platform to critique products.

I think that more time should be spent discussing/reviewing products--rather than the support issues that very few people are having.

These threads are too easily hijacked with nonsensical ranting on issues that 95% of the time can not be solved in a forum... like support issues.

Luckily--In this case F. Kern stopped by and has been able to help some of you. However, this is not usually the outcome.

If people are having support issues--they should be handled elsewhere... In my opinion...

Someone new to this forum may stop by... read some of this thread--and form an opinion that Infomillionaire is a bad product because they don't provide good support--when the truth is that they have excellent support--and the product is great for newbies(which is the group this product was inteneded for)

Unfortunately, the biggest flaw that Infomillionaire Support has--is that it's run by human beings that aren't perfect 100% all of the time.

Sorry Marc, but I don't agree with you on this point at all. When people invest ina product, they are also investing their time, not just their money. You mighthave that kind of time, but I guarantee that is not the case for everyone. Plus, if anything has been resolved in this forum about Infomillionaire; it is the fact that the support is definitely not "excellent". I had Frank tell me two days ago that I was submitted for my refund and I still have not received it. Hopefully I get it today (sometimes credit card refunds take a little time, I understand this).

I think in most cases you are correct. This is not the support forum for Infomillionaire. The problem is...there is no support forum.

Infomilionaire was not marketed as a product for newbies. It was marketed that even newbies would be able to use it because they would show you how to do the basics.

Let's look at the product name and product claims for InfoMillionaire:

"We've done our best to keep this as simple as possible...eliminating all the fluff and leaving only real useable information that will get you fast results. If you follow the steps that we outline for you, there is no question that you can have a profitable internet online business of your own in a very short time. Betwen the two of us, we've sold over $4,732,453 of digital products on the internet using this system (and counting).

In my review, I stated how I disagreed that this sytem would work. In fact, I believe it is just a poor man's version of Commission Blueprint. The Google Ambush program also has a landing page builder, but it has a lot more features than the one included with this program.

Sue: You asked where you could get more information on how to learn internet marketing. First off: Right here in this forum. Read the reviews on products and pick one that is geared for newbies.

Second: If we look at the programs which are highlighted in Infomillionaire; you wll notice that each domain name you are referred to go to for the product is different that the real domain name for that product. All affiliate redirects using the Ninja Landing Page creator I assume. If you want to learn how to use these programs, there are other options. Maily YouTube which boasts tons of free tutorials on these basics.

Think this: (as opposed to the Infomillionaire directly linked products)

        1. Instead of Godaddy, how about Namecheap (my favorite)
        2. Insted of Researching Clickbank at Clickbank.com (not Clickbank3000.com), try CBEngine.com
        3. Instead of Mid-Phase hosting (sucks), try Hostmonster or Hostgator (for beginners)
        4. Instead of Aweber at Aweber.com, not AweberElite.com (afiliate redirect) autoresponders, try GetResponse.com (my favorite again)
        5. Instead of spending $300 on Dreamweaver, try the free NVU, and when you learn the basics with this free program, then try to move up to the more complicated Dreamweaver at Adobe.com (not UltraDreamweaver.com (affiliate redirect))
        6. Google Adwords is Google Adwords, but I am pretty sure you can get there by using adwords.google.com as opposed to: SetupAdwords.com.
        7. Instead of Wordtracker (one of the best programs, but not the best in my opinion), try Wordze.com. (I'm certain you can get to Wordtracker at Wordtracker.com, not WordtrackerPro.com (affiliate redirect).
        8. Cam Studio Pro is a program I used before I started actually using Camtasia, but you can get to the website via CamStudioPro.com, not the affiliate redirect: CamStudioSoft.com

If you look at this list and are thinking, why did he write all of that? the reason is: These are all the programs hawked by the Infomillionaire program. Every one of these is focused on making money from a beginner who doesn't know any better. When I read the Infomillionaire manual, I took this as an insult to my intelligence. Yes, we all market affiliate links. But I took this as a blatant attempt to take advantage of newbies, as opposed to appearing as a legitimate product focused on helping them. A beginner would not see this and that is the problem I have with it. Most products hawk other products. But this product is coming from one of the more respected dou's in Internet Marketing and I expect more from them. Why, with all the money these guys have already made, would they have to milk profits from affiliate links? They are making millions from their Info products, right? Or are they?

This is my final opinion on the subject guys. I am off to better threads.

        Thanks.

Not a fair comparison... Commission Blueprint isn't even close to being for beginners

If I'm a newbie--and I need an Autoresponder, a domain, hosting, etc.. I really wouldn't care what link I purchased from--It costs the same amount of money.

Sure, there marketing was strategic--It was supposed to be. I don't understand why you or anyone else would take offense to marketers being marketers.

No, not all all. It wasn't the fact they were marketing affiliate links. It was the methodology.

It really comes down to being straight forword. As most marketing experts tell you, people are not dumb, and to market to them as if they are will set you up for failure as a marketer. Treat your customers with respect up front. Use "BackDoor Marketing" to achieve profits without sacrificing principle. "In Your Face Marketing" will ultimately only turn off customers. As it did for me. Ultimately InfoMillionaire is just a hook product for the Newsletter series anyway.

I guess I looked at this product as a marketer more so than as a customer and that was my failing.

The rest of your opinions are solid. It just depends on your point of view. This is mine.

            Thanks Marc.

Guys, I got my infomillionaire kit late, but all is good. I went throught it step-by-step and I've made my first sale using the ninja cloaker! Awesome! As a newbie to IM (I'm a programmer so I'm not new to the web) I found that the intructions to sign up and set up adwords, aweber etc. was helpful in that it provided the momentum for me to explore and learn the other parts of these tools. Where this course falls short is with adwords. Yea, Trey did mention "relevancy" and he did mention msn adcenter and yahoo search marketing but... you gotta tell people how to get over the google slap! I spent $54.00 on adwords inorder to make a $33.00 commission on a $49 product!

Can anybody reccommend a thread where I can find information on how I can get over the dreaded google slap?

I want 10 cent clicks? is that still possible? how?

In short, infomillionaire gave me momentum. It made internet marketing less intimidating because it gave me a structure.

Also, most newbies fail in IM because they comsume a lot of information but, they don't take action, because of this paralysis they get from having too much information. Anyone who is starting out in IM should pick one system, stick with it and follow it to the tee all the way through. Infomillionaire is great.. for newbies.. sucks for google slap info...

                  Thanks!

                    Thanks!
Let me know when your bid amounts jump to $10 per click with the pages you made with the Ninja Cloaker as most who have used it have received the Google Slap.

Anyone else have some test results on this? I am not brave enough to try.

Go get a prepaid/gift card credit card from your local Mall, Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, etc.

Put enough on the card (or buy a prepaid amount)

When the card runs out, they'll email and/or call you to let you know.
Then you can decide to continue or not..using another similar card, of course.
Oh yeah, and no bank debit card overdraft issues, too.

I liked the product (as previously stated) and liked the monthly subscription.

    one problem...

In the last 2 days i was charged for the second monthly newsletter (a newsletter which i fully intend to stick to) but i did not recieve the news letter in the mail.

I intend to wait a week and then submit a support ticket (don't know if it will be answered judging by all the comments here)

    that is on my mind.

This was just what i needed as it was the technical aspect of setting up a website that got me.

      Sue,

I have to apologize, but when I saw your post I actually thought it was a fake post since you only had 1 post to your name (not that I have many). If the product has helped you; great. The thing is, that you have been given a small slice of a bigger pie. If you were only looking to learn how to begin in Internet Marketing, then you would think you would buy a program called: Internet Marketing for Beginners. But....When I buy a program called InfoMillionaire....My expectations for the product are higher.

Based on what I have read, InfoMillionaire, the $9.95 version, was just the hook for the subscription. You see this with a lot of the big Internet Marketing "Guru's" now. Mike Filsaime is giving away some of his biggest product so you can get a test subscription (just like this) to his $30ish Monthly Newsletter. Why give you everything with one product when I can get you coming back for more every month and make twice as much money. I'm not complaining about it. Hell, it is darn good marketing and it obviously works really well.

So, once again, I apologize. But I suggest you do some more research in this forum and others for products which will help you in your quest more effectively.

I ordered my copy on 15th Jan and it arrived today, guess I was one of the lucky ones!

As mentioned in other posts the content is VERY basic. Ideal for someone who has never heard of affiliate marketing, autoresponders, web hosting, FTP and building websites before.

I think the problem with it is that it was marketed to people who know alot of this stuff anyway. I'm new to affiliate marketing, and in the time it's taken infomillionaire to arrive I've learned everything inside it from google searches for free.

The monthly news letter content is about the same, it also includes some suggested websites, for various things, which I'm sure Frank & his crew are affiliated with. Sign up to a few top affiliate news letters and you'll get all this info and more for free, delivered direct to your inbox.

To sum up: 192 pages of very large fonts & lots of white space. If your current internet use only extends to surfing, and you want to become an affiliate then get it. If you're anything but a surfer don't bother - you probably know most of it already, and what you don't know you'll know where to find it already.

I too would like to hear what others recommend as good (better?) products to try.

I'm also still curious about the "Google slapping". Has anyone heard a response about that from Frank or Trey? If I go through the whole process and buy some pay per clicks, is Google going to tell me I'm not allowed to link to an affiliate page? If so...isn't this a major flaw in the system?

That was a BIG issue I had with infomillionaire. They make it seem so easy to just put together your site, slap it up and get under 20 cents a click on Google and very little to NO talk about the Google Slap or Quality Score. Trust me...that is a HUGE component that can not be overlooked.

      Hi Sue,

I've notice that you said you're new to online marketing Sue...
& I commend you for getting stared. Welcome aboard!

I myself, had joined this forum many months ago, but have neglected to use it, until now. Being pre-occupied with other forums & courses.

Anyway, I just so happened to have a nosy at your site... & noticed a few things that might help you out to improve on it. (Hope you don't mind?)

You probably aren't yet aware of this... but if you choose to write words on a website, ...or anywhere for that matter - it's best to have 'black text on a white background' NOT the other way around!
Are you able to comfortably read the text on your site without scquinting?
Aswell as a text font of at least 10 or 11.

It just makes it alot easier on the eyes & readablitiy will improve.
Aswell as possible traffic to your site... if people like what they read & tell others or decide to come back. (Exactly what you want to happen, right?)

You need to provide them with a good enough reason to return.

Hope you don't take me as being critical...
Just would like to help you out.

Thanks Shaun...I appreciate the constructive criticism very much. I had already planned on increasing the font size and finally figured out how to do it. We really love the theme we're using, so I'm not sure we could change it to a white background with black text, but I'm curious to know if you think it looks better now?

I, too, wanted to leave an update on my dissatisfaction. Within ten minutes of my (second) post on this thread, I was contacted via PM by Frank. This was a bit of a surprise. I had not been reading all the posts and seen that he had been taking a more "active" role after quite a few complaints. After he "checked it out", I did receive a refund of the monthly charge (that should not have been charged) and the initial shipping fee (which I did not expect).

While, in my opinion, they do earn back some support points for that, I still feel that the product is "not enough" in some areas (Adwords campaigns) and "too much" in other areas (developing your own product). If it is directed at "newbies", as they claim, then I think they should have spent more time/training on the Adwords side and introduced the develop product side later in their monthly membership area. Not to many newbies are ready for the product arena.

Lastly, I have to question why, given all the problems they had with the release of the program (10% undelivered/late, support issues, software issues, etc.) did they turn around and re-release it to another 4,000 people just a few weeks after the initial release? I hope they have most of the problems ironed out. Either that or they are gluttons for punishment!

I have to agree with you there.

As a newbie, I would like to see a lot more info on testing niches and getting around the Google slap. I didn't need the step-by-tiny-step instruction on domain registration, host account setup, and dreamweaver download.

I got my start up kit without too long of a wait. But after giving it a try and getting slapped by Google right away, I haven't tried it again...yet.

I am waiting for the info monthly to see if it will cover adwords and choosing a niche in more detail. If it is just more on creating a product I'll cancel.

I have some doubt as to whether adwords is even a good place for a newbie to start, but I have no doubt that Infomillionaire can be a money maker.

      Dave

P.S. I just received another start up kit in my P.O. box today. Well... at least I didn't have to drive all the way to the UPS headquarters to get this one.

It isn't a course on Adwords. The course is ABOUT making money by creating and promoting your own product, lol. Not sure it would be a good idea to cut back on that part. If anything, they should have devoted more information to it, because what they presented was rather general.

Of course newbies aren't ready for the product arena. That's the point of the course...to get them ready. That's like arguing that a course on Adwords should teach something else because newbies aren't ready for Adwords yet, lol.

I thought I would get a copy of Infomillionaire when I had the chance to. It sounds like other people have had lots of problems with the service, so I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

It took about 2 weeks for it to ship to me, which isn't too bad considering it took others much longer. After reading about the problems here I quickly contacted the support and asked for them to cancel the subscription so I was not charged for another monthly magazine. They politely did it the next day.

As for Infomillionaire itself, it is much like the other people said. The information is pretty basic, but remember that it is intended for beginners. I thought that it would be a little more than this though and was slightly disappointed.

There actually is some good material in the guide. The PPC section is kind of weak though. At one point he says you can pay as little as .01 cent for each click. I highly doubt that a newbie will be paying that little and getting good traffic though.

Most of the recommendations in the guide are affiliate links. There are some free and/or better alternatives for many options (mentioned earlier in this thread). However, from an IMers perspective, I can understand including affiliate links.

My main problem with the guide is that it is not the easiest plan for beginners. Dreamweaver and hosting? Most newbies would be completely confused. There are many free ways to make landing pages, so beginners should start with those. Also, there is hardly any content on article marketing, which is another good starting place for beginners.

I did enjoy the monthly magazine though. It had some good tips for intermediate level marketers. I haven't checked out the videos or the cd yet, but they may have some good information too and I want to check them out when I get a chance. The swipe html files on the cd sound promising.

All in all, if you are new then I think it is worth the shipping and handling to get this. If you want to get into marketing without spending a lot on Adwords, then there are other good guides to check out too. Thanks for the guide Frank.

Like many who have posted here I am disappointed with Infomillionaire.

As Mick535 stated: The course was not marketed at newbies but was an attempt at simplifying the process of creating/finding a product and marketing it in a way that even a newbie could understand. At no point do I remember the course being labelled as a basic course for beginners only. If this point had been made then they would have suffered reduced sales but at least you would not have intermediate/experienced marketers buying a product telling them how to sign up for Clickbank or a hosting account etc.

I bought the system because I expected some real detail in how to create my own product. There really wasn't much in-depth information. I also would have expected much more detail on how to research a niche. I don't believe that Frank and Trey just head over to Clickbank and do all their research there. There are so many other places to see what are popular niches.

The idea that you can use the Landing Page Creator (Ninja) to put up a few paragraphs of content that will give a good Quality score from Google due to the relevancy of your landing page to the Adwords ad, but that the content is not displayed with the visitor being redirected to the vendor page via your affiliate link, seems deeply flawed.

Google will quickly catch onto this and your click price will shoot through the roof and any future campaigns you wish to run - even if you later put up quality landing pages with no sneaky redirects -will be affected. You would then be forced to set up another Adwords account.

Frank or Trey have already addressed customer service issues but have remained quiet on the validity of using this key technique of Infomillionaire. I would like a solid statement that this technique is not going to draw down the wrath of Google. (In the Monthly Training CD Trey states that this Ninja software redirect technique does not go against Google TOS but that does not seem likely).

Google is only interested in looking after the 'searchers' and delivering the best results to them on any given topic, not having poor quality websites redirecting to affiliate products.

I am in total agreement with Mick535's view on the affiliate links. It is one thing to surf the web and have people recommend products while using affiliate links but when you have paid for a course (with an expectation that you will remain signed on as a member) you expect to get genuine advice without bias...basically advice that will benefit you at the least possible cost and make it as easy as possible.

When I saw the section entitled "Creating a high profit website" I was expecting some useful pointers and examples of website layouts and designs that converted; instead it was just a excuse to promote Dreamweaver via their Ultradreamweaver site (cloaked link to Adobe's site) and FTP software

To recommend Dreamweaver - which is a fairly advanced HTML editor - as a way for beginners to create webpages is ridiculous. I thought the whole point of the course was to simplify the process of getting started and taking action. Learning Dreamweaver is not that simple - I have a 1000 page training manual and a 21 hour video course as testament to that!

There are other ways of quickly creating a web page - Wordpress blogs, weebly.com or other software that can be used to quickly put up a sales page. It might not be as beautiful as a Dreamweaver page but it will be a damn site quicker! None of these other options are mentioned because it will reduce the number of sign ups to the affiliate promotions.

There is free FTP software out there and hosting companies better than the one they recommended.

In summary, Infomillionaire is very basic information that has been cobbled together to allow the inclusion of as many affiliate products as possible, without regard to alternative products/services that might be better suited to an individual but that do not carry a commission.

Some of the information is highly questionable regarding Adwords, something a beginner might have no knowledge of.

The days of putting up low quality sites or simply redirecting visitors to an affiliate site are long gone if you wish to use Adwords or rank well in the organic search results.

The Infomillionaire process seems to have been to hype up a basic product (with limited and dubious info) - that you give away for free - that will make people believe that there is an easy way to create profitable info products, sign them up to a membership scheme, try to upsell them other products and finally use your free product to promote affiliate products.

    Very disappointed!

Finally received mine yesterday, after multiple emails explaining why it took so long. Turned out to be just another PPC -> Landing Page -> ClickBank deal. I found it to be far too general in nature to even formulate any kind of viable plan from. Keyword research section was extremely thin, and the examples were for ultra-competitive markets (golf, learn Spanish) that will get newbies absolutely slaughtered (I know, they were only examples. I also know that newbies always base their first campaign or two on the examples they learned from. I think Frank and Trey know this too). As mentioned earlier in the thread, the book is stuffed with affiliate links. I have no issue whatsoever with marketers earning affiliate commissions from training materials. However, this 'tutorial' appears to have been written for the sole purpose of generating sales for the authors at the expense of thousands of 'trainees', who have literally no chance of succeeding with the methods outlined in this manual.

      Just my 2 cents.

I have noticed that they have not returned here to comment, but I am sure they read this thread on a daily basis. They might be extremely hesitant to answer some of the harder questions posed here; like the Ninja Cloaker questions, due to the fact that they have to answer in a forum where people know a little more about PPC than the newbies they originally marketed to.

As for returns: I PM'd Frank here in this thread (if you go back a page or two, you'll see his post) and I received my refund 3 days later.

Sorry buddy, I'm not buying it.

If it was that simple, this forum would be empty. I do 90% of my business promotion with adwords and I use both AdGrenade and Speed PPC (depends on if I'm promoting a Clickbank product or not). I have a lot of knowledge, do a lot of market research, and still have campaigns that fail miserably all the time. This is made up for by the ones that succeed. Anyone using Adwords knows it is not a cut and paste enterprise, so any advice like the advice given in Infomillionaire about using Adwords is just plain wrong. All you are doing is setting people who don't know any better up for failure.

How many clicks did you get for that $2.82? What was your Conversion rate?

Keyword research by itself could take up more than half of the Infomillionaire manual, if you were trying to teach Newbies how to do Market research, let alone Google Adwords.

And...as everyone here keeps saying, Infomillionaire was targeted for Newbies.

    Hi folks,

Firstly, thanks to the forum creator(s). I spent many precious hours today reading the contents of this site. I must say it was time well spent.

Secondly, I'd like to extend a sencere thank-you to Frank and Trey for your efforts with this product. I've been in the IT industry for 10+ years, and half of that time was spent doing web design. The funny thing was, until I stumbled upon you guys (and a few others) I had no idea about SEO - strange but true. The Infomillionaire course is excellent. I found a few areas very basic (understandibly), but the IM sections were exactly what I was looking for in the course...and more. Only minor issues with the landing page generator code and screen cam videos.

For those who initially had issues with support requests, I feel your pain, as I'm going through the same issues right now with Google. But more on that later. Within 2 days of sending an email to cancel my subscription, I had a reply saying that it was done.

Now, you're all probably saying "if the course was soooo great, why did you cancel". Well, like many other posters here, the dreaded "Ninja Cloaker" killed me. Initially, I followed the course step by step, making slight modifications. For one, instead of using a landing page, I tried the cloaker tool.

Within 25 minutes of setting up my Adwords account I was suspended. For those of you who say Frank and Trey have horrible support, when was the last time you submitted an email to Google Adwords support? Obviously never...because if you had, you'd realize that NOBODY works at Google. They're a billion dollar company and have nobody answering support questions. Anyway, my account has been suspended for a few weeks, and I just finished tweaking my sites and emailed again begging to have my account re-evaluated, *cross your fingers*.

So to re-iterate: Great course with minor issues, poorly designed ninja cloaker software with Googles new TOS. Google sinks their money into designing bots instead of employing actual humans.

    Cheers,
    Curtis

P.S. The worst part about all of this is that I have a killer landing page and can't use it...*sigh*

    Curtis,

You must be an incredibly tolerant person to still be pleased with the Infomillionaire course when it has got you into such trouble with Google.

I'm confused why you think that you will not be able to use your landing page? Anyone who wants to promote a product can set up their own landing page detailing the product, drive traffic to it via Adwords, SEO, article marketing etc and then at this stage many people will simply have a clickable affiliate link through to the merchant's website. This does not violate Google's TOS because it is your website and it's down to the visitor to click through, you are not redirecting them, while displaying 'invisible' content to the Googlebot.

If you set up a basic review page, you are effectively pre-selling the visitor on the product and then letting the merchant's sales page convert. Personally, I set up a better sales page than the merchant, then use a cloaking tool to hide my affiliate links and forward my visitor directly to the Clickbank payment page, bypassing the merchant's site (unless they have a great sales page!).

I use a cloaking tool that does a great job for me (see my signature for the link) -They have a bunch of videos showing you how you can protect your affiliate links and redirect buyers directly from your landing page straight to the payment page, amongst other things.

Personally, I think it is outrageous that someone of Frank Kern's standing should be backing a product that clearly violates Google's TOS and is guaranteed to get beginners just getting started in IM into such difficulty.

I bought the course because I wanted to learn the detail of creating and marketing information products and did so because I had seen a lot of Frank's free stuff he did when promoting Mass Control - seemed like a knowledgeable, likeable guy. Maybe I should have known better, especially as pretty much all the emails he has sent me recently have been to get me to buy products that he is an affiliate of. What happened to the concept of providing useful content to your list in amongst the things you are promoting?

It's a shame that neither Frank or Trey want to address the serious problem associated with using this software. They've only just developed it and I have no idea why they thought it would fool Google?

If he was suspended, there's likely more to the story than him simply using the Ninja Cloaker. They don't typically suspend you for a minor, isolated TOS violation. I would know, as I've had several, lol. At worst, they would have suspended the campaign, not the whole account. The only way they would have suspended him for using the Ninja Cloaker is if he continued to use it in campaign after campaign after they told him not to do it.

    alg,
Thanks for the great information. Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed that Frank and Trey would develop, promote and recommend a product that obviously is against Google's TOS. I wish I had a time machine to transport my gullible a$$ back in time. Heck, I guess I should have read the TOS before I uploaded the site. I guess I just expected more from Google, though.

For everyone's viewing pleasure, check out this support reply I got back from Infomillionaire regarding Ninja Cloaker (this was back in Dec):

"Ninja Cloaker is for cloaking your CLICKBANK HOPLINK...

So if you already have a website going, then you don't need it. If your just a clickbank affiliate you can use it then."

    Did I miss something?

      Hi,
I actually posed this question on another thread relating to Infomillionaire but it seems to have been closed down for some strange reason.

I am a new to Internet Marketing and I have just written an Ebook (non IM related) and was hoping to implement the lessons in Infomillionaire and its software in order to promote my product.

Reading on here about the Google Slaps etc - does anyone think it's safe to use the Infomillionaire lessons and software or could I potentially cause myself more damage than good?

      Thanks, Derrick

Curtis - the purpose of Ninja Cloaker is to allow lazy affiliates to quickly throw up a 'webpage' that has basic meta tags such as page title, keywords and the unique content that is closely related to how you will phrase your adwords ad. The idea is that the Googlebot will see this unique content, think your page is wonderful and relevant and you get a great quality score, resulting in low click prices. The visitor however sees only the merchant's page because he has been redirected. In the address bar the visitor will see only your address and not the merchant's web address.

This would certainly save a lot of time designing your own website - particularly if the seller has a great sales page - shame that Google doesn't allow it!

If you have your own website then you would not need to use Ninja Cloaker since you want your visitor to see your content; but rather you might want to have a clickable link through to the merchant's website where you would ideally mask your affiliate id; in some cases you might want to use stealth cloaking where you hide the destination address so the visitor clicks on your link, is redirected to the merchant's sales page but thinks that he is still on your site. If your website is better than the seller's you would not want to then redirect the potential buyer to another (inferior) sales page as this is another step between them buying the product and they may well end up confused. In this case you send them straight from your sales page via a "Buy Now" button that redrects directly to the clickbank payment page, missing out the seller's sales page but still logging you as the affiliate. (Note: I use the cloaking software linked to below to carry out this stage).

This is totally okay with Google because your Adwords ad directs them to your site, there is no redirection. The visitor is only sent to the seller's site when he clicks on a link on your site.

Anyone who is promoting an affiliate product who intends to drive traffic using adwords should NOT use Ninja Cloaker since it is in clear violation of Google's affiliate policy, which is:

"However, we monitor and do not allow the following:

Redirect URLs: Ads that contain URLs that automatically redirect to the parent company."

Actually, Google is not that keen on affiliate sites and these are one type of site they suggest advertising with caution since it can be difficult to get a good quality score. Basically, they don't want their beloved users clicking through on multiple ads which lead to sites that are promoting the same merchant.

Derrick - Since you are selling your own product you won't need to use Ninja Cloaker tool.

If you have your own product just create a nice-looking sales page with good copy. Identify what your potential buyers are looking for and meet their needs e.g. one guy I know wrote an ebook on curing panic attacks but his visitors weren't buying. Eventually he identified that most visitors to his site who had found it through a google search were trying to find out if they were suffering from a panic attack before they had any intention of buying anything. Only when he changed his sales copy to explain the symptoms of a panic attack first and then presented his book as the cure did he see a substantial increase in sales

Identify and use the main keywords that relate to people looking to buy your product in the page title, headings etc that have search volume that you can compete on.

Make sure that if you use adwords you keep the ad tightly focussed on what the site is about.

Don't neglect other ways to promote your site - SEO (Stompernet did a free course on this a while back - Stomping the Search Engines 2 - may be still available?), article marketing, signature in forum posts, yahoo ads etc.

You can still use some of the basic ideas in Infomillionaire but just be aware that they do not give the full picture in terms of promoting your site. Nor do you need to use their recommended products/services, there are alternatives.

        Hope this helps.

    Derrick,

The "Google slap" is only happening to those of us using the ninja cloaker software. Infomillionaire does have great information to offer. You will not be affected by the 'slap', as you're promoting your own product. Setup a landing page/sales page, and you will be just fine. And for God sakes, don't do what I did... READ Google's Terms and Services. If you don't want trouble, follow it exactly.

So, if you go through the original manual and do the landing page, auto-responders etc. instead of the Ninja Cloaker, there won't be any Google slap problems?

      Thanks Curtis.
The Course actually seems really well put together and as a beginner I was pleased to see information set out so simply.
I thought the idea of the cloaking software was to allow your landing page to rank well with Google - if I don't (and I won't!) use the software - does that mean my landing page won't rank so well? Is there any alternatives?
      All the best, Derrick

    Hi Sue,

I cannot validate that's correct or not, as I initially set it up with the "Ninja Cloaker", resulting in an account suspension. And although I did 'tinker' with the landing page generator, I cannot recommend it. If you take a look at the code it generates, you'll see a lot of issues. Tags aren't properly setup, which causes viewing issues accross some browsers. It's using graphics that are hosted on the 'infomillionaire' domain, which should have never been done! It just DOESN'T work properly, hah.

Ok, so I got off track here... anyway, Google Adwords is a complex system, and should never have been included with the Infomillionaire course. It confused too many people, myself included. As long as your landing page is relevant with your ads and keywords, you should be fine.

Fulfillment is another issue. But by looking at everything as a learning experience, I've filed it in the 'important stuff to remember' category.

Here's what I learned beyond the obvious compliance with the Big G's TOS issue:

Consider not shipping or launching physical products in mid-december, too much shipping congestion and you'll get blamed for transit & fulfillment delays.

I got the info package and also got the 1st month of the paid monthly subscription, even though I cancelled 3 weeks ago!

Here is my feedback and I'll try and keep it short...

    info package
    **************
Can't complain for $10, good basic info on info marketing but clearly very out of date when it comes to google PPC, disapointed that the Ninja software turns out to be just an iframe generator!, not sure that the 4 paragraphs that you enter do you any good at all, test your pages with the google search keyword tool and it does not seem to see them!, I think it just see's the tittle, description and keywords in the header, someone correct me on this if I'm wrong.

Lots of links broken in the CD, sent support tickets in on billing and other issues, seems like support is a black hole, took a long time to any response

    Fast Forward Jan 2009 Newsletter
    ***************************
Basic news letter - some good info on how to sqeeze more money from your customers IF you already have traffic and your own products, there was sort of an admission that their landing page generator (LPG) and Ninja Cloaker (iframe) suck big time, got to laught at that, well at least they admitted it!, I give them some credit for that, actually managed to write on all 16 sides of the newsletter

Gold Monthly Supplement - this is basically all about an interview with Eben Pagan, he's an info guy who now gross's $25m a year with 80 employee's, I started to watch the video, frank and eban sitting on a black leather couch, frank making silly jokes all the time, eben looking bored, well I fell asleep after about 15 mins of hearing this guys life story, the newsletter, well frank seemed to be struggling, only managed to write on 5 out of the 8 pages, triple spaced lines with snapshots, all about Eben - basically worthless in my opinion

    Summary
    ****************
It took 3 weeks to get support to tell me I was on the hook for approx $62/month, I'm very glad I cancelled, I would be very disapointed to pay that much for this sort of of info

I get the impression that Frank is now not selling any fun info products and now makes his money from the IM market, Trey to a lesser extent, I see he still has some clickbank sites running

Finally, I got a cold call from a man trying to sell me coaching from Frank Kern, or at least from his "hand picked team of coach's", there was nothing written down, nothing he could send me!

He told me Frank has world class support, I told him it sucked and his products had broken links, he would not have it and just proceeded to tell me that Frank was the world's No1 internet marketer and that I would need to pass a "test" to get in, we mutually agreed that I was not a good match for this service and closed the call as friends

Frank Kern/Trey Smith - nice guys, product very poor value at $62/month!

This has been an interesting thread.

Guess I'm feeling compelled to add my .02 :-)

TOTALLY enjoyed Franks launch - that alone (and really "getting" how it all fits together) was worth the price of admission.

Had a little mix-up with the monthly billing after canceling. Slow support issues caused a cross up with my week 3 request and the charge I believe - not cool, but fixable and seems that's the intention... I was refunded after shooting an email to support.

The content was reassuring (I understood the process, was familiar with most of the tools and it was a fine basic review). Spotted the afflinks, but already have all the services, so it was neither here nor there.

The adwords section - well, I really appreciated it. Not that it was the content to end all content - far from it - but it DID cause me to take action and dig in and actually DO some. Am I still learning?? You'd better believe I realize there's plenty of nuance to tap into yet. But I'm in the game! And that (imho) is a priceless gift.

As far as the landing page and ninja tools - I tried and used them both. Opened my adwords account on 1/1 so it's been a full month. They both worked fine for me and I didn't get Google slapped. After reading this thread, I'm thinking that I will go ahead and create my own landing pages - both for the practice/growth and for the 'staying off the Google radar' potential, but again feel certain I WOULD NOT have moved forward with this if it hadn't been for those simple solutions being made available at just the right point in the process.

Bottom line? I'm a satisfied customer who is also a business owner and is kind of glad to have seen all aspects of this process - the good and the bad - in person.

    Good stuff!
    Andrea

I bought Infomillionaire during the December release, and didn't have too long of wait.

The info is very basic, but because of it's simplicity it got me to finally take specific action that led to my first sale.

I've spent the last year reading a ton of information on IM, and while I've gained a lot of knowledge, I've also been stuck in the information overload haze without being able to nail down an actual "Start Here" plan. So, just the fact that it gave me a direction to head in, makes it totally worth the measly $50 I've spent on it.

One of the most valuable thing I got from Infomillionaire was that it had a link to the Warrior Forum. This Place Is Frikin' Amazing!

I would say I'm a very satisfied customer.

Just an observation, the $10 first issue, as you all know, was printed on nice, shiny, high quality paper. The second issuse, which cost $43 bucks, was printed on regular printing paper, and was 7 pages shorter than the first issue, lol. Oh, and don't tell anyone, but Frank and Trey think using an upsell is a good idea. Shhhh...it's a secret.

To be fair, they included software to help with upsells, so that may make it worth the cost. I say "may" because I haven't checked it out yet. At any rate, this will be my last month. I can see where this course is going, and I've already heard this stuff from Frank before. No sense in paying to hear it again. It could be useful to those who have never heard it before though.

I have to say I agree here. I haven't made my first sale yet because I don't want to use the Ninja Cloaker software due to all of the talk about the google slap on this thread. (I am working on a more google friendly site and intend to use the infomillionaire model to promote it.)

I got the 2nd month plus the gold monthly (Eban Pagen interview) for free because of all of the shipping issues. I havn't found much value in the monthly so I cancelled. One support ticket sent and about 36 hours later I received the cancellation email. So as far as all of the customer support issues people have been talking about, I have to say that their CS is great. (even got a ticket received email as soon as I sent the ticket.)

As said above; the info overload phase is gone, I am taking action! And finding the Warrior Forum because of this product is going to be priceless!

All in all, for me it was a total cost of $10 and I'm off my ass and finally trying to make this whole IM thing work.

It is sad that the coach gets the heat when the quarterback throws an uncatchable pass....Frank & Trey get berated for what their fulfillment company failed to do, for what their support people failed to keep up with. Like a coach, though, it is ultimately their fault (or their managers fault) that these companies and employees were hired in the first place.

The chain of people that reach to the top has gotten too many links here. While Kern has some good basic info and a persona that makes him a cool front man, the audience he has chosen to address is too diversified. The newbies will love it, the skeptics will doubt it, and the veterans will pan it. This, my friends, is an example of shotgun marketing---not targeted marketing.

The free infomillionairre package is great, and FREE! As for the monthly subscription, I think that they could have provided a little more content to keep me on as a subscriber. They provided little content and I cancelled within the first month.

Finally had a chance to go over some of the package. I expected it to suck and be mostly upsells, but considering Frank and Trey's reputation, I should have known better.

Product blew me away and the amount of value they offered for 10 bucks is amazing. I feel like I should have paid them more.

      Hi Frank,

I found your posts here regarding InfoMillionaire. I hope that you're still reading this thread. I tried to PM you but I don't have enough posts here yet.

I want to cancel the subscription charges and get a refund for the products, with the exception of the $9.97 s&h of course.

I have submitted two separate support forms using the Infomillionaire.com/support, one on Tuesday and another one today, and have not received a response from either. (Well actually the autoresponder sent a confirmation but I don't believe that counts.) This frustrates me!

We all splurge on something). Assume 2 dollars a pop, and that's your f***ing $60 bucks.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Since when is $40 to $60 a month of no consequence to most people. If you want to send that to me each month I will be happy to take it from you, but only if you think it will be inconsequential to you.

Regarding Frank Kern and his monthly subscription, if people think it is worth it then they will carry on with it. If they don't then they will cancel.

What REALLY pisses people off is when they try to cancel, and I mean numerous times, and don't get a response and later find they have been charged.

Or they have waited and waited and waited for something to arrive and it never does.

Can you see how that might get people a little incy wincy bit, every so slightly, tiny little bit, just a wee bit, UPSET?

So don't forget to send me your $60 a month. It will go towards my heating, gas, tax, food bills and perhaps someone's internet training course that is worth it. Thanks.

    Hey Guys, Trey here..

I haven't checked this board much lately and had no clue this thread was still going on. Sorry about that.

Ok, so let me clear some stuff up.

    First off... The Ninja Cloaker

This piece of software was designed to help you quickly find profitable niches. It was never intended as a long term solution (which I mention on page 4 and page 5 of the newsletter).

I apologize if I did not make that clear enough... Once you notice that the niche got traffic and converted, instructions were to make your own version of that product and ditch the ninja cloaker.

But regardless, I DID NOT KNOW it was against the Adwords ToS.

I would absolutely NEVER promote anything agains the ToS of any company (don't do black hat stuff) and as soon as we found out about this we immediately pulled it from the course.

Here's why I originally put it in there:

I have used the Ninja Cloaker to test over 50 niches in clickbank in the last 6-8 months and had ZERO issues with any vilolations or dissaproved ads... I also did a quick search through google and didn't see the ToS violation. Honestly, I just screwed up and it won't happen again.

One more thing... I've used Ninja Cloaker on Yahoo Search Marketing and had no problems at all. Just double checked their ToS and their FAQ section and couldn't find any mention of iframes being an issue (please let me know if you see different!).

But don't worry, we've got a lot of different affiliate landing page technqiues and we'll be going over three new ones in the next few months (and there is no iframe or anything that could be against ToS.. promise )

Speaking of quality score and google... I actually JUST finished up a big ass report on how to get ALL good and great quality scores with google.

This was supposed to be for members only, but since it might address some issues you guys brought up, I'll go ahead and post it for ya here.

Btw, this is the most comprehensive and complete "checklist" for getting a killer quality score I've ever seen.

Make sure you check it out:

    http://www.infomillionaire.com/INFOM..._Checklist.pdf

As for affiliate links and stuff... of course we put some affiliate links in there. My God people, we are teaching internet marketing here!

Ironically, the "UltraDreamweaver" link isn't even an affiliate link. It just routes straight over to dreamweavers site. (Yes, we are THAT slack...)

We recommend it because it's what we both use, they can download it right then for free, and I couldn't find a REALLY good replacement. We set the domain up to make an affiliate link for it if we ever get around to it (which we haven't yet).

Actually, I would have recommended frontpage if that were still available... easiest to use WYSIWYG html editor ever!

    Last thing: Support Issues

All our issues are completely resolved and I check DAILY to make sure we aren't behind (and we haven't been).

We finally found out the reason a few people were having problems. It was some weird bug with our incoming support email deliverability. It's been fixed for a while now, so if any of you have submitted a support ticket and not received a response within 2 business days, PM me immediately please.

Hope this clears some stuff up, thanks!

    Trey

Sorry Trey but I have caught you out in a lie!

To start with, I was quite unbelieving that someone of your experience would not know that redirecting traffic sent from Adwords ads was against Google's ToS.

I finally got the video evidence after reading your infomillionaire quality score checklist.

You mentioned the clickbank link hack, not knowing what this was, I looked it up on google. I clicked a link to your site nicheninjas where there was a videopost dated July 01 2008 where you state clearly on camera that redirecting traffic sent from Google was a practice that they had banned 2 months earlier.

If anyone wants to see the video it is also on youtube - just search for clickbank link hack.

If you knew about Google's stance on redirects back in early May 2008 why release software in Infomillionaire that violates their ToS?

It really is just too easy to say in this forum that you didn't know your software violated google's ToS and that it was an honest mistake, but clearly you did know back in May 2008.

Kinda reminds me of how useful the 'Wayback machine' is
when a company denies what is stated in their own TOS or similar.

Of course, they tell you to check their website as proof
(where it's been conveniently altered to support their argument)

Enter the 'Wayback Machine' to provide the version of their website
that you were referring to (during the time in question, etc., etc.)

        Hey dude,

In that video I was talking about REDIRECTS (i.e. sending someone straight to your affiliate link) not sending them to a cloaked page.

And actually since then, I have found out that redirects are OK. They just only allow one domain per keyword (i.e. you can only use one clickbank.com domain for each keyword). Learned that from Tim who was in the last issue of Yanik's Maverick Monthly.

As I've mentioned, I was using the Ninja Cloaker myself with success when I wrote the material. It was seriously an honest mistake!

I mean think about it... I would have absolutely NO advantage in trying to pull a fast one here. Obviously I want people to make GOBS of money using this system so they stay customers.

As I've already stated, we've pulled that from future versions of the course.

While we're at it... for the record:

I did NOT go against the whole infomillionaire manual in my quality score checklist.

The quality score checklist is intended for people to use AFTER they have already found a successful niche online using other methods like the clickbank link hack, landing page generator, ninja cloaker on yahoo... or one of the MANY other ways we'll be teaching people in the next few months (review pages, blogs, prosper, etc).

See, here's the "big secret" and how I pulled in over $5,000,000 online doing this just a few years:

        1. I tested MANY niches.

        2. Because I tested many niches, I found HOT ones with large amounts of converting traffic.

        3. I dropped the ones that weren't making much or any money, and focused SOLELY on the big winners.

        4. I ramped those up in multiple ways that we go over in Infomillionaire Monthly (massive Content Network campaigns, quality score checklist for search network, other traffic sources, etc)

If you did that whole quality score checklist for any niche you were *thinking* about getting into, then you simply would be wasting a ton of time.

I go over all of this in the infomillioniare monthly newsletter this month (where that checklist came from). I just didn't post that all here because well... it was supposed to be for members only

Who do you think will make more money:

        A) The person that spends A BILLION hours testing a few niches.

        B) The person that spends A FEW hours testing TONS of niches and ramps up the successful ones.

The answer is at the bottom of this post

        Thanks,

        Trey

        Let me get this straight.

First: Infomillionaire tells you to use Aweber and an OPT-IN on your landing pages for 15 pages in the manual, now in the Quality Score Checklist you guys posted, you say: Stay away from having any type of email opt-in form on your landing page (I agree).

Second: Trey didn't know the Ninja "Cloaker" violated the Adwords Terms of Service??? You guys are the "Gurus" correct? You should know this stuff in and out. You don't "Cloak" to promote an Adwords product. Everyone knows that and I suspect you guys did too.

After reading the Quality Score Checklist document, I realized how much it contradicted the original manual. Hopefully not too many people lost their shirts and/ or accounts on Adwords.

The QS Checklist is an excellent document. I am sure you didn't just do the research this month for that product, which is the best thing I have read from you guys so far. You could sell it. Very accurate. A little overboard on the site construction stuff, but I guess you have to go that far considering the beating you guys have taken in this forum.

Which brings up another point. This was released about a month and a half ago? I am pretty sure you guys knew all this info before you sent out the Infomillionaire package "as is".

I hope the QS Checklist was emailed out to all of the Infomillionaire buyers. They deserve it. That is how you use Google Adwords.

Yes, I purchased the Infomillionaire product and membership and subsequently cancelled.

Yes, I know there are 2 landing page generators. If you read back several posts you will see that Frank and Trey (the creators of Infomillioaire) are now telling you to not use their Landing Page Generators except when you are testing a niche. If you read the PDF called the Infomillionaire Quality Score Checklist attached to Trey's latest post, you will see where they now tell you not to use them.

That is why I said in my previous post that they have now negated about 15 plus pages from the original Infomillionaire Manual and that individuals using that book as their guide on how to make money with Info products, whicle creating Landing Pages and Google Adwords, should be careful and relook at what they are doing.

This Quality Score Checklist (linked below) was pretty much a reversal on 75% of the most important information in the Infomillionaire manual. That being: Using Opt-In's and Landing Pages, Using Landing Page Generators, Landing Page construction, and Making Money with this system with Google Adwords.

You are assuming I don't know what I am talking about, but I'll let it slide.

If you really read Trey's response, you will see he is talking about the Ninja cloaker, not the squeeze page. Although the quality score isn't great with the squeeze page generator, it is a great free template that can be modified to work.

I am not assuming you don't know what you are talking about, but I am assuming you didn't read the Infomillionaire Quality Score Checklist that Trey Smith just posted here yesterday.

In the Landing Page section; Point 2 reads:

2 - High Quality "Real" Sites Only
                1. No name squeeze.
                2. No cloaked pages or iframes.
                3. Use your own site, the clickbank link hack, blogs, or a review site.
So the reality is; he is talking about both the Ninja Cloaker and the original Landing Page Generator. The orignal is all about using an Opt-in page to capture leads, and it is a QUASI cloaker.

I read the report, but I don't really consider it to be perfect.

The landing page generator isn't cloaked at all. I don't see how you could call it a "quasi" cloaker either.

Not a very strong argument considering the "report" was written by the same person who wrote the Infomillionaire Manual as a correction or adjustment to people's comments in this thread. So you don't have to think it's perfect, he's telling you that the previous Manual is wrong and this is the right way to do it.

                    I agree with him.

By the way you are right. The previous Landing Page generator is not a "QUASI" cloaker. I stand corrected.

To that extent, you are correct, they did invalidate some of the course. However, I'm more interested in their marketing than their landing page strategy. I like Ryan Deiss and Perry Belcher when it comes to that stuff.

Their marketing is excellent. Otherwise we wouldn't be here talking about it. They are doing almost the exact same Marketing technique for their "Mass Control Giveaway". A bunch of videos on splash pages. Then they will giveaway the Mass Control course (for $17.95) and then you'll get a monthly subscription where it is nearly impossible to cancel.

They'll make a ton of money off of it for sure.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it right?

                          Worried about difficulty cancelling?
Retain cancel control from the get-go - See my previous post in this thread.

That being: Using Opt-In's and Landing Pages, Using Landing Page Generators, Landing Page construction, and Making Money with this system with Google Adwords.
Perhaps they will offer a revised version of the InfoMillionaire Manual . PDF?

Well, the course is meant for new IM'ers and I don't think the techniques don't work. The issue at hand here is the Ninja Cloaker, which when released was thought to be legal...unfortunately Google didn't agree. Still, much of the material is still very sound and I'll be more than willing to give MC 2.0 a try.

I didn't have a problem canceling InfoMillionaire like others did, so I can't comment on that.

If you'd like to learn more about Trey's stuff, you can also visit nicheninjas.com (I think that's right).

Well, you took my quote out of context completely. I don't think the course is bad at all, and in my opinion, anyone that complains about spending 10 bucks on this package has no business being in IM. For 10 bucks, you get to see a Kern launch, some good tools, a beginner's manual, several videos, and a newsletter with some great sales copy tips.

I fail to see how it is a bad deal? I've paid more for some WSO's here that haven't delivered half as much value.

In regards to the question about Deiss and Belcher, the Get Cash from Google course goes into more detail, but they both show several methods for how to get a great quality score (by splitting up your landing pages and marketing). I just think Kern is more of a marketing guy, while Belcher and Deiss are more technical.

yes I did, sorry about that, I just wanted to make a point that you have to VERY carefull who you seek advice and mentoring from these days, even very well know gurus can give you poor advice if it will make them a quick buck

example, I just got an email from Brad Fallon telling me Google Shadow was a "good one" via an affiliate link, can you believe it!

Trey, I am getting no response whatsoever from the Infomillionaire support system you have in place.

I have sent 3 requests to cancel my monthly subscription, all of which have gone unanswered.

I wouldn't even be posting this on here but it seems the only way to get anyone involved to take care of something that should be a very simple process.

    This is getting extremely frustrating.

Like a million other people have said in this thread, just provide an easy way out on something like this. Don't treat your customers like trash.

Can you please cancel the memebership immediately and provide a status as to when this is done. I would rather not have to go down the chargeback route with my Card and hope you can resolve whatever issue appears to be in place with your support system.

I am always fairly careful at purchasing new informational products. I usually spedn weeks trying to find as much free information as possible. This forum is full of it - in a good way. And yet there is always the need to tweak our information. Many times the free informations gives us the basis for better utilizing the paid information. Yet it can be disasterous when a product is launched too quickly. I am sure that all the bugs will be worked out.
