I just saw that Icontact offer free accounts (no trials) for up to 500 leads.

I don't use them tough, I'm all into AWeber.

If you are after Free ones like Dada mail and Mailchimp etc. only if you run this as a hobby.

If you are using a wp site then you could use wp autorespoder plugin. I've just started using it for one of my sites and I have had no problems with it. You can also export and import subscribers.

GetResponse has a free account too that you can upgrade later when you get more subscribers. That is what I use on my work at home mom website.

There's also Imnica Mail (run by Warrior Richelo Killian) that allows you 5,000 subscribers for $9 a month and goes up from there...

i use ListWire. I don't know about the support though because, i have never had to open a support ticket. Other than that, it is a good service to use.

Mailchimp is really simple to use and has a great API for integrating into other systems.

Their "Forever Free" plan allows you to have 2000 subs and send 12000 mails per month.

Pretty good place to start I reckon.

    Good Luck

If you're looking for a real free autoresponder, you're looking for List Wire...

Free doesn't mean "trial", or "until you get 500 subscribers" or whatever as far as I know. And yes, I know Aweber is $1.00 for the first month, but that's just the first month... it's another trial.

P.S. List Wire is over a year old now, and has tens of thousands of members... yes, tens of thousands.

    thanks for mentioning listwire.

    I will check it out.

I use aweber but want to try some new lists on a free option because the new lists / products have a lower conversion rate and since they are TEST lists why pay for them?

so I went and checked out listwire.

Great features, great service, but the showstopper for me was that it posts at the bottom that it is a FREE service and has a link to sign up.

I did go look at mailchimp and decided to give them a try for some new lists instead.

icontact, mailchimp, infusionsoft, and others all include a link at the bottom of your email by default ... the only difference between List Wire, and those services is ... we're free.
