The Best iPad Apps For Internet Marketers?

I just got an iPad 2 a month ago, and I've been trying to find the very best iPad apps to help me in my business. Here is a list of my favorites so far.

Dropbox (Free) - Lets me share my files across all my computers so I can access them anywhere. Plus its great for outsourcing and working with others. With the Dropbox iPad app I can view all my files and send them to other apps as well.

Evernote (Free) - Allows me to sync all my notes to the cloud and access them via my PC, iPad and iPhone. I use it to keep track and organize everything, from receipts, to swipe files, and case studies I do.

Twitter (Free) - This is how I follow all my favorite internet marketers. Plus, it's a great marketing tool for sending traffic to my content.

iThoughtsHD ($9.99) - The best mindmapping app I've found on the iPad. It's really easy to use and I've been using it a lot when creating content or just brainstorming ideas.

GoToMeeting (Free) - Allows me to watch webinars from the comfort of my iPad. Can't seem to ask questions from it though which is too bad but otherwise works well.

Teleprompt+ ($14.99) - The best teleprompter app I've tried so far. I've been using it when recording videos, and it really makes a big difference in the quality of my videos. Integrates with Dropbox so you can easily import your scripts into it.

Reeder ($4.99) - The best RSS reader I've found for the iPad. This is how I keep up with my favorite internet marketing blogs.

GoodReader ($4.99) - The best PDF reader for the iPad. I was using iBooks which is decent (and free), but GoodReader has a lot more options. Great for reading the latest WSO you just bought.

Wordpress (Free) - Allows you to load any of your Wordpress blogs into the app. From there you can write or edit posts directly on your iPad. You can also manage comments through the app as well.

iMockups ($6.99) - This is a really easy to use app for creating wireframes and mockups of your latest and greatest software project. If you're outsourcing, create a mockup for your developer so he knows exactly what you want your software to look like.

Timer+ (Free) - A simple timer for implementing the Pomodoro technique or other similar productivity methods.

Anybody else using the iPad 2 to help them in their business? What are some of your favorite apps?

Chris

Glad you like the list! Out of all of those I would say Dropbox is a MUST download.

    Great idea for a thread.

Dropbox is a must. For PDF reading I really enjoy iAnnotatePDF especially if you ever like to write or highlight while you read. Goodreader gets a vote from me as it can unpack zip files straight from Dropbox.

Now if there is one thing that drove me nuts on my iPad it is the fact that the Google Keyword Tool dies a horrible death in Safari. I've tried other browsers and I HAVE been able to get it working in a browser app called Terra (which also has nice tabs). It is a bit slow for the GKT but it does work. Finally, keyword research in bed!

I've been reading the reviews online, and Terra sounds great. Unfortunately, it looks like it's been removed from the App Store for whatever reason.

    Hey Chris,

Thanks for sharing these apps. If you come across any more, please let us know. Besides the ones you mention, I've been playing around with Dragon Dictate over the past few days to get ideas down for articles without having to actually type anything.

    Cheers,

      Hey MW,

You know I was playing around with Dragon Dictate and I was considering putting it on my list. But in the end, I found it was making too many mistakes with my voice so I decided to leave it off.

Are you finding the voice recognition to be accurate for you? Since it's free, it's definitely worth trying though.

        Hi Chris,

It's been working pretty well for me so far, but I know that some people haven't had much luck with it. I suppose it probably depends on your accent and how you speak in general. As you say though, it's definitely worth giving it a try and hopefully the technology will continue to improve as time goes by.

        All the best,

        MW

Kind of! It's just a technique that promotes focus and concentration, which is useful for us Internet Marketers that work by ourselves at home all day.

You can read more about it here:
      The Pomodoro Technique®

There's a free ebook on the site that explains it better.

I really like JUMP. it allows you to access your computer from your iPad. I was recently speaking at a seminar and was asked to do another presentation but I didn't have the slides with me, nor where they anywhere on the internet.

They were on the computer at home. So I just fired up JUMP, and remote accessed my desktop and then emailed it to myself

Keynote is a really good app as well. I've written whole presentations from it.

Dragon Dictate worked good for me, but I'm not big on dictating so I hardly use it.

The kindle app I probably use the most for internet marketing purposes, for reading ebooks and stuff.

That's business stuff. For GAMES, my favorite apps are scrabble, shredder (it's a computer chess program), angry birds, plants vs. zombies, yahtzee and Battleheart (rpg game built for the ios platform).

Great suggestions Jason! The Jump app is fantastic! I was a little hesitant to plop down $20 for an app, but I did so anyway.

It's surprisingly usable and I can really see how useful this app is going to be for me in the future.

Can't believe this thread is from 2011 but it was actually useful for me now that I got a new iPad Air.

I installed a few of these apps but I also installed a few others for photography, video editing and productivity, won't mention them because there are many but still wanted to thank Chris for taking the time to put this here.

Can't wait to check out the teleprompt+ app!
