I'm looking for comments/reviews on Authority Pro 2 which was just released. I need to make a decision soon between Authority Pro 2, Optimize Press or Profits Theme.

After looking over several Authority Pro sites referred to on the sales page I'd say they are lacking in eye appeal. Perhaps this is because of the limited number of theme style templates.
The content seems fine but to me they lack the "sensation transference" of professionalism that you get when you look at a comparable example prepared in Optimize Press.
Having said this, I have to admit that I was not looking at an apples to apples comparison because I could not find a Sales page example of Authority Pro other than the offer for it itself.
As for Profits Theme, I think the main advantage has got to be its drag and drop, click and get what you want weebly like feature.
I don't think Optimize or Profits Theme has the SEO optimization package that Authority Pro has built in.
Overall, then Authority Pro has a greater range of functionality but less professional eye pull.
Price appears to be six of one half a dozen of another.

Of the 3, Profits Theme is the only one that lets you create secured membership areas with Paypal or Clickbank. This feature is worth it's weight in gold since you won't need to buy extra $197+ plugins like Wishlist Member.

I own OptimizePress and ProfitsTheme, btw. I will not be investing in AP2.

I agree with your observation of Profits Theme. I also use it and its builtin membership management, autoresponder, and Paypal/Clickbank integration offers an out of the box solution to build membership sites and squeeze pages.

I've gone ahead and purchased it. Shall see how it goes! I like how they have a members forum.

Will also keep my eyes out in case Profits Theme goes on sale again.

Yeah, Im looking at the sales page and the video and its ok but the
real meat is in the user who get a real value on the products.

I need more honest reviews with AP2 before I could plunge on it.

Thank you, Affiliator, for breaking it down for us!

It seems to me that the weakness of too few templates is one that is easily corrected, either by the owners or by users freelancing with add-on packets. These types of products tend to evolve and grow over time (For example, look at XSitePro!).

So on that basis I believe I'll go for it... Will try to add a first hand user's review post to this thread in the next few days.

I recently purchased Authority Pro 2. I requested a refund 2-1/2 weeks later. I found it extremely cumbersome. I also had several technical issues. When I tried to get support, it took DAYS to receive a response. There seem to be quite a few nice features, but the trade-off was too great for me.

As soon as I requested my refund, I purchased Optimize Press. I had a new, great-looking sales page up in less than 30 minutes. I then created a squeeze page in about 15. Minimal tutorials necessary.

I have ONLY used Optimize Press for creating sales, squeeze and Thank You/download pages. I have not tried to create a blog. But so far, I am SERIOUSLY impressed.

ONE BIG THING!!! If you plan to use video on your site, Optimize Press has a native video player - AP2 does not. So it is SUPER simple to put a streaming video on your site. Not so much so with AP2. (I spent 2 full days trying to get one to work with AP2, and never did. I got one up and running with Optimize Press in a few minutes.)

For me, Optimize Press is the one.

I have to say I love AP2 but the draw back of not having a native video player threw me off when I first tried to put video on a page. I just used youtube and that is really easy but, if you want to host your videos with like amazons3 then there is a plugin for that. I don't have an s3 account yet so, I can't say how it works yet. I'm sure they will keep updating AP2 as well.

I guess they all have their pros and cons but all in all AP2 works pretty great for me.

I have a dumb question -- bear with me -- What if you have a content high ranking site but you want to incorporate something like OptimizePress in the site, how do you have a them for your site and aslo use the power of OP? (On the same domain?)
