Rapid Free Traffic

I signed up for the "lite" version of this service after being referred there by Kevin Riley in his "Clockwork Recipes" WSO.

RapidFreeTraffic is a network of blogs that you can submit articles to. Those articles are distributed among the blogs to help you build backlinks to your home site.

Positives:
  • Customer service was pretty good when I had a question.
  • The article spinner they provide is pretty powerful and easy to use.
  • They have several tutorials and tons of bonus material.
  • One subscription gets you both of their services (article submission as well as having articles fed to your sites).
  • Articles do actually go out and do actually get you backlinks.

Negatives:
  • At times the site is very slow. I have been trying to submit an article for the past hour but I keep getting timeouts.
  • The site has been down at least 2 full days since I joined up. It would come back online with no explanation and no notification to the customers.
  • Most of the articles I have encountered on the site are pure garbage. They are either written by someone with only a passing knowledge of English and then are heavily spun at the word level so that the article loses all utility. Then random hyperlinks and anchor texts are shoved in to the article. Customer service informed me that they do not police articles but will remove articles if members report them. It would literally take me all day to go through and report all the spammy garbage that was being pushed out.
I was really disappointed because this site came recommended by Kevin Riley. This lead me to believe that it was a dependable service but as of right now I see no reason to continue my subscription beyond the month I paid for.

    Actually, if you are using this service for what I recommended, this is a good thing. You can be one of the few who are providing good quality articles, and thus getting more mileage - as site owners will pick your article, syndicate it, and give you lots of quality backlinks.

    However, if you're using it as a site owner who wants content (not what I'm teaching in my Clockwork Recipe) then you face the continual and ubiquitous problem of lots of dross. Too many article writers just crank out garbage, when they could be producing quality rather than quantity - and doing much better.

      I've been using RFT for about a year now and am generally pleased with it. Have to agree, though, with GameVoid about the spammy, low-quality content that it distributes. In fact, I had to turn it off to several of my sites because it was apparently hurting their rankings.

      Another one of the problems with RFT (besides its tortuously slow drip feed rate that you can't control) is that it doesn't provide a way for you to know where your articles were distributed, so you're kind of flying blindly hoping that they'll be indexed at some point. Forget about having a list of URLs that you can ping to ensure they're indexed; guess the boys want to keep their actual networks under wraps.

      I also use UAW as a different backlink network, and it works as a decent complement to RFT. I like it because it does provide you with a list of the blog sites you're articles were submited to.
