Can anyone recommend a good alternative to ArticleRanks?

    The ones I use are...

    www.myarticlenetwork.com
    www.seolinkvine.com (and http://elite.seolinkvine.com)
    www.syndicatekahuna.com
    www.buildmyrank.com

And then there are a few others like UAW, Linkvana, RankBuilder's network, etc...

    The more, the merrier!

Hi Matt, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I got poor results with both yours and your bro's services in the 6 months or so that I used them. BMR is great, I'm getting fantastic results. I've been using AR for the past 18 months, mainly for link diversity but I'm looking for a comparable service in terms of price and results. AR is no longer an option for me due to today's changes and the way in which they have been implemented.

As a couple of free alternatives, I've been using Free Traffic System and Authority Link Network with good results.

        Hi Joseph,

On MAN, the submission raters were OK but all on low quality blogs, many deindexed after some time. SEOLV just gave me poor submission rates and provided little value. I believe I documented both on this forum.

AR gave good submission rates with good serp position increases, but the bombshell yesterday has forced me to cancel.

I'm going to take a look at Authority Link Network and Blogging Underground I think.

I think he's referring to the price increase. They went from $39.99 a month to $89.99, all of a sudden. Though they still have $39.99 per month as an option, it gives you (as an existing member) limited options (5 domains, IIRC). The privileges that you used to get with $39.99 per month are now with $89.99 per month with a couple others added.

@OP: There are many. UAW would come to my mind, if you're not already using it. There are a few private networks, which are limited to 30-50 members, which deliver very good results, too when used in tandem with other links.

Thank you Apoorv. Wow, that's a kind of shady move. I just signed up last night with a coupon for 30 free credits in the War Room. Still a free member, hoping for some good results.

So, do you guys think that private networks are going to be the new choice over article directories since Google's Panda update?

Thanks Apoorv. Noah, what Apoorv said is correct. AR promised a price freeze to members but backtracked last week arguing the price is still the same but the service has now been limited. If you want what you had before it will now cost more. I've used the service for two yrs and I've given them good feedback on this forum in the past. But I don't succumb to those kinds of shady tactics and my advice now is to steer clear.

        @neil

Thanks for the update about that. On a side note, I totally hear where you're coming from with that. But, how limited did the paid membership become? Were you told in advance?

I would also be a little peeved about it, so I'm not calling you out or anything. But, it doesn't seem all that shady to me as long as they gave everyone ample time to decide to upgrade, accept the limits or leave. But, like I said, I have just found the service anyway and I've never paid them anything - so what do I know? haha.

Paid membership went from unlimited domains to 5. I was promoting quite a few sniper type sites, last Christmas I was promoting 15 sniper toy sites alone, let alone the others I had in the system. So limiting the domains to 5 meant the current membership was useless for me. There was no warnings and no notifications. Also, once they made the changes there was no way for me to select which domains I wanted to promote. I was expected to go through 2 yrs worth of articles, deleting the ones with domains in that I no longer wanted to promote.

But it's a fair comment you make. I just have a bad taste in my mouth at present. I thought a price freeze guarantee meant you will pay the same price for the service you are getting, not you will pay the same price but we'll give you less in the hope that you'll upgrade to get what you was getting before.

    Anyways, enjoy Article Ranks :-)

Unfortunately, I guess it can be taken either way. Thanks again for the update on the situation - not sure what to think about their service right now.

Hi Neil, I heard about that. It's really unfortunate as they prob. had the best thing going for them prior to the update. To be honest though their spinning syntax/system was just a little too much for me anyway.

There's another service that I haven't tried but that I've heard lots of positive stuff on. They're called "submit your article". If i ever switch from SEnukeX they'll def get my buz. I like the fact that with them you can submit to article directories and blogs like most of the services-but that in addition you can also submit directly to ezine/newsletter publishers. Plus if you don't care to use the newsletter portion of their service they're only 47/mth.

Oh, I almost forgot...If you ever want to go the one off route I just started using article marketing robot and it's all that and some. The only thing you can't really do with it is submit ur content to other ppls blogs but if you just want to submit to directories and to ur own blogs -its probably the best way to go.

But come to think of it there are folks out there who get around the blog thing by buying expired high pr domains along with c-class hosting so they can set up they're own private blog networks.

Hi Benbro, thanks for your reply. I do use AMR and get excellent results. I was using AR for link diversity with AMR, BMR, scrapeboard and scrapebox. This pretty much gives me a great mix of links and diversity. Results were great so I'm looking for a replacement for the spun blog post syndication type links. I've not heard of Submit your article before so thanks for the heads up. I'll go take a look now.

The number of domains for the "paid starter" now seems to have been increased from 5 to 10. It's not as good as unlimited - but it is a step in the right direction.

According to the owners, they took this step as a result of people selling submissions. It might just be another case of a few bad apples.

Whilst it doesn't sit very well with me, Article Ranks seems to work pretty well. Cancelling would be self defeating I think, unless you really need to promote dozens of domains (in which case the higher rate might be worth it).

OK, I've taken 2 x PR3 domains and 2 x PR1 domains that I had sitting doing nothing. I've setup Wordpress on them and submitted to ALN and FTS. This will give me the 4 submissions per day that I was getting with AR twice over.

On a side note, ArticleRanks have confirmed that each of their packages now have differnet publishing lines with the Pro package having the most priority. Read into that what you will.

Yes the change was made to combat spam - If someone is promoting more then 10 domains then they are either reselling our service or not doing a very good job of earning from the sites they are promoting - 10 domains should be earning someone a nice bit of monthly income - For people that are not rather then putting all the blame on AR changes they should be strongly thinking about their business decision as to why 10 domains are not working well for them.

Neil - As mentioned in another thread the $39 package has not changed at all in terms of publishing speed or quantity - We have just created another publishing line for pro members.

20 publishes has never been the case and you must have been doing something wrong. Did you submit a ticket? Its probably down to the article not being spun well enough

I agree, I was consistently getting 30 publishes with most articles.

Looking forward to the 45 publishes on PR 1 and above blogs using ALN though.

Some people just have more than 10 domains that they want to promote. That does not mean they are not earning well or that they are just spamming the site.

I understand about the reselling bit. But what about some users who try to make their article marketing look natural? By linking to other sites (authority sites), not just their own.

Having said that I do appreciate the jump from 5 to 10 domains.

Authority Link Network has lots to be said about it. I actually joined months ago but I don't use wordpress so couldn't really use it. The Article Ranks business plan forced me to find an alternative which gave me the motivation to setup some wordpress sites and start using the ALN system. So far I've submitted 16 articles and the submissions are absolutely on the money every time. It's too early to see results but already some of the articles are indexed. Quicker than I ever got with Article Ranks.

Just a quick update: Really pleased with Authority Link Network. The submissions remain very consistent and my articles are being published on blogs which appear to be crawled reguarly and therefore indexed quickly. I do have other backlinking activity going on with the sites these articles are being used for, so its hard to gauge the results. But I think Its safe to say ALN has filled the hole that AR left and a whole lot more. No more waiting 3 months to get 30 submissions on crappy PR0 blogs :-)

Just wanted to chime in (I know, I'm late) and say ALN beats AR hands down imo. The credit system they have at AR is ridiculous imo. 2 credits to submit an article. If you have a PR2 blog in their system, you have to accept almost 20 articles on your blog to submit 1.

If someone knows of a network that's even close to ALN's credit system, I'm all ears. I would love to join an additional network. But for now, I'm strictly ALN.
